How does your media product represent particular social
groups?
 Hitz' target audience is girls aged 14-17. She is an outgoing girl
that loves to go out and hang out with friends. She is a down to
earth girl that loves shopping and is starting to gain a real interest
in music and would maybe occasionally go to tours of mainstream
artists. She is into fashion and aims to go far in life, she has goals
and ambitions to be successful with a good job. She also likes to
know all the latest celebrity gossip.
 I show that my target audience is outgoing by having happy
stories on the cover and showing people smiling and laughing. I
represent my target social group as middle class ‘Shopaholics’ by
advertising a lot of high street brands. They are represented as
down to earth as I include a problem pages in my magazine this is
to show that they have everyday normal problems like everyone.
They are represented as ambitious as I would advertise jobs for
them as money is an issue for people of this age. I would also give
information of upcoming tours of mainstream artists like Beyonce
or Rihanna which shows them to be happy outgoing people likely
to attend these events that bring lots of music lovers together
 The photos I have taken consist of happy people,
laughing and smiling in general and also some posed
photos, this represents my social group perfectly as
they are generally a happy group that are starting to
gain an interest in their looks.
 The language I have used in the text shows that my
audience are outgoing, approachable and easy to talk
to.This is because I say informal things like
“Whooops” and refer to things like “twerking”
 The design concept represents my audience to be a
happy group of people as I use happy vibrant colours
to show this.
