Question 5
How did you attract/address your
audience?
Questionnaire & feedback
By Beatrice Betsy
Props, actions and music
I feel like I address my audience by using the right type of music
actors and props and this makes sure I am targeting the right age
group. Within the first two minutes the audience can see from
the props that it is going to be some what violent because of the
slow motion on the knife. Having it in slow motion makes the
knife clear and that there will be some kind of violence or killing.
I put a lot of focus on this part to make sure the audience is clear
on what type of movie this is. However this won’t be just to worn
people but to encourage people to watch the rest of the movie
because the target audience I am aiming at should like this type
of violence and type of movie. The music also creates the same
effect as it is your typical action/drama music. The music i have
chosen creates suspense therefore making it clear that something
will be happening. I gets the audience drawn in to the movie
before the main events happening and also causes the target
audience to watch the rest.
Class feedback
In the 3rd slide is class feedback sheet where each person of the class chose something I could
improve and something they liked. There opinion helped me to see where I could have made my
own improvements. Also as it was anonymous I could see what people really thought of my film
opening without a bias opinion. This also helped a lot as the people in my class are some of what my
target audience would be therefore getting to see whether this age group responded in the right way.
Questionnaire
This questionnaire I gave to 10 people within my target audience
age range to see whether I have used the right forms of
conventions to suggest this film is addressed to gender age and
type of person. I have asked questions that gives them a chance to
show me if I am addressing the right target audience. I have
chosen do a questionnaire like this to get a wider idea of what my
target audience thinks of the two minute opening. I can still get
an unbiased answer but with a wider range of age groups from
my 16-30 target audience.

Where the music cuts into a different song needs to flow more
Actors need to be better at acting. I could have given them more practice

Dialogue needs to be louder.
This was the 3 main points people thought I needed to improve in my film.
