Scene 1: Hampstead Heath Train’s station
1. MCU/CU from behind, character looks over his shoulder towards camera
2. CU, looks over his shoulder
3. WS outside of Hampstead heath station, people rush by, Alex’s phone buzzes
4. CU Alex looks at his phone
5. HA CU – Alex smiles
6. ECU – lips move into a smile
Scene 2: Outside Apartment
1. Bus rushes past the screen
2. Bus continues to rush past to reveal MS of Alex, Alex crosses road towards camera
3. Alex’s body fills the screen as he walks in front of camera
4. The frame remains dark as the camera tilts from the pavement up to look at the
apartment building from a low angle
5. LA CU Alex looks up at the building
6. LA MW Alex walks into building
Scene 3: Apartment Hallway
1. WS Alex walks into frame to the door and drops his bag.
2. CU Alex drops his bag on the ground
3. CU Alex’s face on the left edge of the frame, heaving and sighing.
4. Push in to the apartment door.
Scene 4: Loungeroom
1. WS frame through the doorway into the lounge room, we see June clearing up
dishes from the coffee table
2. MCU, June turns and smiles at the guests
3. CU, June picking up the glasses
4. WS June walks through crowd holding a tray of glasses, people mingle about the
party
5. MS from behind as June walks through the crowd
6. MS, the doorbell rings, June stops and looks around
7. Montage, chips being poured into a bowl, champagne being poured, the opening of
a bottle of wine, canapés being taken off of a tray
8. CU June looking down at the canapés as they are taken, smiling. The doorbell
continues to ring

2. Scene 5: Apartment Hallway
1. MS profile of Alex pushing the doorbell with his phone pressed up against his ear
2. CU (wide angle lens) door P.O.V looking at Alex’s face, pissed off.
3. CU June turning the door knob as she opens the door.
4. MS from behind Alex, door still on doorbell as June opens the door and looks at him
5. MWS Alex standing in the middle of the frame/doorway, phone pressed up to his
ear, bag on his back, looking isolated
6. OTS (right shoulder), June looks at Alex
7. MS Alex looking back at June (left of frame, eye-line looking right)
8. June smiles back (right of frame, holding door with left hand looking back at him)

Scene 7: Lounge room and Hallway
1. LA CU of hand, June leads Alex through party
2. P.O.V people looking at Alex as he walks through the party down the hallway

4. CU random 2 looking up from conversation to look at Alex
5. CU random 3 looking up, smirking (various guests turning towards camera)
6. MS Alexs gets dragged through party (camera looking at his face as he walks
through) guests behind him
7. MS June leads Alex through the doorway Alex filling right hand frame
Scene 8: Monique’s Room
1. WS (wide angle lens) looking from other side of the room as Alex and June enter
2. MCU Alex looks around (possibly MS cut off at waist, while this is happening, june is
speaking to him and leaves)
3. MS clothes, high heels lying on the floor (loose camera work, P.O.V)
4. MCU photos on wall of June and friends (loose camera)
5. MCU books and pencil pot on desk or floor (loose camera)
6. MCU square-on Alex places bag on the floor

around and we see the couple smiling. (Sound bridge of June laughing into the next
scene)
Scene 9: Loungeroom
1. MS June laughing with a friend, placed in the right of the frame
2. MCU from behind June (she would be on the left) laughing as Alex comes into
view in between June and friend.
3. MW OTS Alex heads towards random A + B who are on the right of the frame
in shot 2.
4. MCU shot from behind random A+B, Alex stands in between them. Alex
listens to their conversation and then tries to contribute (hold long)
5. Alex interrupts them and the two random’s turn. (MCU, turn their heads to
looks at Alex
6. CU left edge of the frame, looks back at them. Random’s carry on speaking.
7. Alex gets distracted and looks other way, finding June to the left of the frame
8. Pan across the room to find June, MS, June, surrounded by people, smiles at
Alex
9. MS Alex pretends that he is hanging himself in a comic way, another random
looks on quizzically/judgingly in the right of the frame
10. SRS MS, June looks at Alex disapprovingly, people surround her
11. CU, SQON Alex’s hand reaches for a drink
12. MWS profile, Alex picks up his drink
13. HA CU, Alex takes a drink
14. MW SQON, Alex stares straight ahead at fireplace and party
15. As Alex stares straight ahead, sounds starts to go out of focus, then suddenly
the ‘ass’ steps into frame, we just see his legs in front of him. The camera tilts
upwards
16. LACU We can see ‘ass’s face looming down to Alex
17. HACU Alex looks up at ‘ass’, vulnerable.
18. SRS Dialogue. CU, Ass looks down

Scene 11: Kitchen + Loungeroom
1. SQON CU bottles on table, pans slowly to Alex’s face in hand, looking upset,
looking at the drinks
2. WS of kitchen, Alex is on his own with the bottles.
3. P.O.V (loose camera) looking through lounge room doorway to party. Looks
left, looks right, sees June who looks worried and then turns away. Looks at
couch, sees space, walks towards it.
4. MS LA, from the back of the sofa, Alex goes to sit down.
5. MW HA (subtle) Alex wedging himself in between the two randoms who
were speaking. As they speak, Alex listens to them like a tennis match.
6. MS, Alex puts his hand on Random 2 (right hand person) who looks at him
quizzically
7. CU, profile (P.O.V) Alex smiles, maybe hiccups
8. MS, Alex puts his hand on random 1 (left hand side) who turns to look
9. MS SQON. Alex puts feet on the couch and lifts himself up.
