4. Blogger
•
Throughout the process of creating my media products I had to media
technologies. I have used Blogger which is an online blog for my all work to put
into a portfolio. This site enabled me to upload images, screenshots, texts and
videos such as YouTube where I would find the HTML code then embed on the
blog. I have used this site for planning, research, evaluation and all my media
products.

5. Prezi

I used this this site called Prezi which is a online presentation site which helped me
to produce interactive presentations. I used this when analysing different media
texts. This created a more interesting way to display my work with the use of
zooming in and out to specific points in the presentation. With this site I had to lay
out my images and text in a appropriate place so it all links in. I was also able to
upload YouTube videos onto the site so people will know what video I am
analysing and they are able to watch this to see for themselves. In order to get this
onto my blog I needed to copy the HTML code and paste it into my Blog HTML.
Prezi was very useful when completing some tasks as it is fast, creative and
something new to use compared to using blogger most of the time.

6. Slide share

Slide share is similar to prezi in that it’s a online presentation site. Slide share was
very useful in my planning and research as it is very effective as its very quick
changing from slide to slide and it makes the presentation look more presentable
than a normal presentation off PowerPoint. The way to use this is to create a
presentation on PowerPoint, then you have to go onto the slide share website
then click on the upload button and click on the presentation you want to upload.
Last you will have to copy the embed code from Slide share onto the blogger
HTML.

I used this site Mindmeister as it was a online version of a mind map. This helped
put up ideas I had within my planning such as the task about what Actors I am
casting and why I am using them in my media product. It is a great way to put your
ideas on and create a mind map instead of writing one up. The way I would get
this uploaded onto my blog was to put the mind map public then copy the embed
code and then paste it onto the Blogger HTML.

YouTube was very useful as I used this to upload my music video in order to embed
the code to paste into the blogger. However this was also very useful in my
planning and research such as in one of the tasks we had to record different types
of effects, shots and movement so we can see what variety we could use in our
media video. This helped as we can watch the video on YouTube and see what it
looks like visually. In order to upload this video onto the blog we had to upload the
video onto YouTube then copy the embed below the video then paste it onto the
blog.

9. Photoshop

This programme was very useful especially with my ancillary tasks and production
of our digipak. It was very useful as I would be able to edit my digipak and design
however I want and you have many tools in order to help the design look as you
want it to look. It was also very good because of the variety of effects you can use
such as with my digipak I was able to make my pictures look transparent which
made my media product look more effective as it was different and unique. In
order to get the ancillary tasks onto the blog I needed to save the documents as a
jpeg which is like a picture and then go onto the blog and upload from the desktop
onto a new blog post.
