A distributer is someone who is responsible
for the for release dates for a film. They also
deal with making DVD's and Blu-Rays to sell
after it has been shown in a cinema. So they
deal with the marketing of the film overall.
3.
Paramount have produced classic, dramatic
films which is why my film would be
distributed by them as Film Noir is very
dramatic.
Released in 1940
Released in 1941
Released in 1944
4.
I believe that as my film doesn’t have all the typical “Film Noir” conventions that
Paramount would be interested in distributing it.
The fact that it isn’t set in the USA and the characters are completely traditional, I think
that they will think it gives Film Noirs a modern twist which will attract a younger audience.
As you can see the photos on the left
show that the hair styles of two of
our male actors don’t have a typical
1950’s hair cut.
And with the top right photo, you
can see that the costumes are very
traditional clothes for men during
that era.
The bottom right photo shows that
our Femme Fatale’s makeup isn’t as
attention drawing as some have
been in other films.
5.
To create an audience to go view the film in the cinema and buy the DVD’s after, I
would use multiple social networking sites.
For example create adverts and have Paramount advertise it on their page. Also
the same on Twitter and YouTube as they are the most popular Social Networking
Site.
Adverts would be put up in cinemas, bus stops, buses, on social networking sites
and at the sides of search engines.
