DOCUMENTARY RESULTS - Question 1– Did you understand the topic of the documentary clearly? 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Yes No Partially Male Female As shown here, 14 students aged 16-20 were given questionnaires regarding my documentary. When asked this question all males and all females agreed that the topic of the documentary was clearly expressed. Letting me know that my message and topic is not difficult to understand/follow.
- 3. 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 1 2 34 5 Male Female Question 2 – How equal do you feel the sound levels were? (On a scale of 1 – 5) I’ve learnt from this question that the sound levels definitely need improving. It seems as if the sound levels were not terrible but could definitely use improvements.
- 4. Question 3 –how relevant do you feel the clips were? (On a scale of 1 – 5) 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 1 2 3 4 5 Male Female This particular Question made me realize that no one thought my clips were irrelevant but similarly to the previous question, it could use some improvement.

Question 4 –What area do you feel required the most improvement? • Sound • Facts/Statistics • Scriptwriting • Structure Male Sound Scriptwriting Structure Female Sound As shown here, the female students believed only the sound needed improvement most, which I expected but the males also mentioned scriptwriting and structure. As well as sound for the most part. So I know from this that I must improve my sound levels.

Question 5 –What area do you feel was of the best quality? • Sound • Facts/Statistics • Scriptwriting • Structure Male Facts/Stats Scriptwriting Female Facts/Stats Structure From these results I can gather that people thought that my Facts and Statistics were of the best quality. Structure and scriptwriting were also preferred but not as much as facts/stats. Nobody mentioned the sound (as expected)
- 7. Question 6 –How interesting did you find the documentary? (On a scale of 1 – 5) 0 0.5 1 1.5 2 2.5 3 3.5 4 4.5 1 2 3 4 5 Male Female Nobody gave me a 1 or 2 for this question and it seems the general consensus was 4. There were 4 people that said 1 and 2 that said 3. This shows that I need to make my documentary more gripping.
- 8. Question 7 –How educational did you find the documentary? (On a scale of 1 – 5) 0 0.5 1 1.5 2 2.5 3 3.5 4 4.5 1 2 3 4 5 Male Female I intended for my documentary to be specifically educational towards teens. It seems that more people said 4 than any other option but there were 2’s and 3’s that I would have liked to have been more. This shows that I must have more facts and statistics.
- 9. Question 8 –What would you specifically change about the documentary? In this section I left a space for people to write whatever they thought, the female teenagers unanimously mentioned both the sound levels and the vox pop length, I agree with what they said here. The males all said that the length of vox pops should be sorter and spaced out better. Which I completely agree with, I feel my vox pops were too long and focused, managing more than one question per vox pop.
- 10. RADIO TRAILER RESULTS Question 1– How informative do you feel the radio trailer is? (On a scale of 1 – 5) 0 0.5 1 1.5 2 2.5 3 3.5 4 4.5 5 1 2 3 4 5 Male Female People who filled in my questionnaire believed that the Radio Trailer was reasonably informative so I’ve learnt that I could improve the information given.
- 11. Question 2 –Do you feel the Radio trailer was on topic? Male Female 0 2 4 6 8 Yes No Partially Male Female As shown here, my Radio trailer was received as very on topic. There were 2 people who said partially but I take that as positive.
- 12. Question 3 –Was the radio trailer immersive? Male Female 0 1 2 3 4 Yes No Partially Male Female Unlike the previous results, these were fairy varied. It seems people didn’t think my Radio Trailer was not particularly immersive and I feel this could be majorly improved.

There were 2 5’s overall but more 2’s, 3’s and 4’s. I feel that this could be improved with more time spent on selective editing.
- 14. Question 5 –Would you watch the Documentary based on the trailer? Male Yes No Female Yes No From this I feel as if my Radio Trailer was very well received, out of 14 people, only 3 said they wouldn’t watch the documentary.
- 15. Question 6 –What do you feel could be improved upon? Across the board, both groups mentioned the music volume. So I feel that decreasing the music volume would be my next step.
- 16. TV LISTINGS RESULTS Question1 - Taking the two images below into account, how much do you think the TV Listings magazine sticks to the conventions of EMPIRE magazine? (On a scale of 1 – 5) 0 1 2 3 4 5 1 2 3 4 5 Male Female People here seemed to believe that my magazine sticks to conventions well. Although there were some 3’s, I feel that this was received well.
- 17. Question 2 –How informative do you feel the TV Listings Article is? (On a scale of 1 – 5) 0 0.5 1 1.5 2 2.5 3 3.5 4 4.5 1 2 3 4 5 Male Female People that were interviewed seemed to believe my TV listings article was very informative. This may be due to the detail within the text. I feel that I could add more detail in order to not get any 3’s.
- 18. Question 3 –Do you feel the TV Listings Article accurately represents the Documentary? Male Yes Female Yes No People seem to believe my Article represents the documentary well. There was 1 no but 13 yesses. I’m unsure how else I could link the two products.
- 19. Question 4. Didyou find the Article interesting to read? Male Yes Partially Female Yes No Partially There could be some improvement here as not everybody found it interesting to read. I feel I could improve this by adding more information
- 20. Question 5. Whatdo you feel could be improved upon? Everyone mentioned the information within the text, I believe that this is logical and I expected it. There were a few mentions of increasing the size of the text font. From this I’ve learnt that there are a few points of improvements across the board.
