2. We made a questionnaire for our documentary. we
used a number of questions in the documentary.
• Was the 5 minutes documentary interesting enough to make you
want to watch the rest of the documentary
• Are there any parts of the documentary that stood out or that you
really liked? E.g. Interview, Music, message etc. Explain why?
• Is there anything you didn’t like about it? Explain Why?
• Do you think the music was appropriate for the documentary?
• Do you think the expert interviews helped reinforced the severity
of cyber bullying?
• What was good about the magazine?
• What was bad about the Magazine?
• Would you buy the magazine on the basis of the article?
• After watching the radio trailer would you be inclined to want to
watch the documentary?
• What features did you like about the radio trailer?
• What features did you dislike about the radio trailer?
3. Was the 5 minutes documentary was
interesting enough to make you want to
watch the rest of the documentary?
I asked 20 people of our target audience their opinion on the
documentary and the ancillary texts in which the feedback
showed that the majority of the audience liked the
documentary as out of the 20, 18 people answered yes that
they will watch the rest of the documentary.
4. Are there any parts of the documentary
that stood out or that you really liked? E.g.
Interview, Music, message etc. Explain why?
As this questions was an open ended questions I had a
number of different answers.
• The most common answer was “message” as one wrote
“It was very relatable” suggesting the message was very
clear and helpful.
• Some answered the “music” as one person said “the
video worked well with the music” meaning it helped to
keep the flow of video.
• A few wrote about the interviews with the students and
the teachers as one person said “they had valid points”
which means that we picked people who were interesting
enough and had the proper points about the subject.
• The odd ones were the statistics and narrator’s voice.
5. Is there anything you didn’t like about it?
Explain Why?
Most of the answers I got from this question was “No”
however out of 20, 5 of the people wrote different things:
• From the 5 people 3 students said that they did not like
the topic as 1 of them said that it was “the topic was too
bland” suggesting that it was uninteresting.
• From the 2 people 1 person said the music was “too sci-fi
for a serious topic”
• The Last person suggested that the sound level altered
between interview but it also said but it was mostly
unnoticeable until 1 interview and looking into it I found
out she was talking about the Janice Hamilton interview.
6. Do you think the music was appropriate
for the documentary?
Yes
No
As most of the people of the people agreed at this question
that our documentary was appropriate for the topic and
messages however the people how didn’t like it wrote on the
last questions as it was “too sci-fi for the serious topic”
7. Do you think the expert interviews
helped reinforced the severity of cyber
bullying?
Yes
No
As from the questionnaire I found out that we portrayed the
serious topic effectively however when I asked that 1
person , he said “I already know what they told us”.
8. What was good about the magazine?
As another open ended question it only gave me two
answers which was mostly the “Article” and the “look of it”
which shows that we had the right amount off information
in the article and the pictures made it effective by catching
people’s eye.
What was bad about the Magazine?
In this question most of the people wrote that “it had
too much text” and a few wrote that “it looked too
simple” suggesting that it was too simple however this
can be countered by the fact it was a serious question
so it does not need anything really fancy.
9. Would you buy the magazine on the
basis of the article?
17
3
Yes No
In this question I found out that the majority of the answer
was yes suggesting it is a good promotional tools for the
magazine.
10. What features did you like about the radio
trailer?
Most of the people liked the cliff-hanger effect of the trailer
as one of them wrote that “I was very curious after listening
to it” and “informative” which means that the radio trailer
was a effective tool for advertising for the documentary.
What features did you dislike about the
radio trailer?
In this last question most 3 students wrote about the
background saying that “it abit louder then the other
sounds” and “it wasn’t interesting” suggesting it was
uninteresting to some people.
