Sophia Leiper conducted audience feedback on her pre-production work to ensure she met the expectations of her target demographic. She created questionnaires for her print work and teaser trailer that were distributed via paper, WhatsApp, and SurveyMonkey. The feedback resulted in only small changes like adjusting font colors and slowing down some shots. However, Leiper feels these small modifications made based on audience feedback made her work more suitable for her intended audience.

2. During the pre-production stage I used demographics to establish my
target audience, do research into what types of things they enjoy
watching and what aspects of the specific genre MUST be included in
my work. I feel that these were reached. One that was a major feature
was the use of a sexualized woman. An example of this is, say in James
Bond. Below is an example of the stereotypical “Bond Girl”, “Vesper
Lynd” played by Eva Green.

3. Different questionnaires were created for the print work and for the
teaser trailer. The teaser trailer had a paper questionnaire and one sent
via WhatsApp to various people so that I could have fairly fast
responses so as to make the changes quickly. The print media
questionnaires were conducted through SurveyMonkey so that I could
ask different people and not be able to recognize the results.

4. In both my print media and teaser trailer only small changes had to be
made – the colour of some font, slowing down some shots etc.
However, they are small things that I had overlooked during the
production stages. I feel that the changes that I the made, made my
work more suitable for my target audience.
