This document evaluates the ways in which the author's magazine product uses, develops, or challenges conventions of real magazines. The author mimics several typical magazine conventions in their design, including using bold colors and fonts on the cover to catch readers' attention, positioning text and images similarly to other magazines, and including a contents page with multiple columns and a mix of images and text. For double page spreads, the author takes inspiration from most magazines by including a large bold image on one page with supporting text and a smaller image, and varying colors and using borders on the second page to draw readers in. Overall, the author strives to make their magazine look professional by directly copying designs and layouts from real magazines.
