During the creation of a music video, magazine advertisement, and digipak for a coursework project, the student used several new media technologies. These included Prezi, Photoshop, SurveyMonkey, YouTube, Final Cut Express, Picnik, and SlideShare. Technologies like Final Cut Express, Picnik and SurveyMonkey helped with editing video clips, designing advertisements and conducting audience research. The planning process utilized websites like Unsigned and YouTube to choose a song, contact the artist, and get inspiration. Overall, these new media technologies supported different stages of project development from research to evaluation.
Introduction to AI for Nonprofits with Tapp NetworkTechSoup

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.

1. how did you use new media
technologies in the construction and
research, planning and evaluation stage?
By Jenna Hegarty
2. Technologies + Software's
During the process of our coursework we used many different technologies
such as prezi, photoshop, surveymonkey, youtube, final cut express and Picnik in
order to help us create out music video coursework for things such as out
digipak and magazine advert.
3. What I have achieved from using
new technologies?
During the process of creating the music video, magazine advert and digipak
I have gained new skills such as learning how to combine different clips
together for the music video without any jump cuts or black outs during the
video and by speeding up certain scenes in the music video to make it look
better and managing to combine clips of the video and the music of the song
together to make the lip-synching perfect.
4. Planning
During our planning process for our music video we used many different
websites to help us choose what song we wanted to make a music video
to and we chose to use the genre rock/country as we could think of
specific ideas for the kind of story we were going to tell and the pace of
shots for the genre. We used websites such as unsigned.com,youtube
which helped us contact the artist of the song for the lyrics of her song
and hotmail.com to send an email asking for permission to use her song.
5. Final Cut Express
We have already used final cut express in our previous coursework last
year which was for our thriller but last year we didn’t need to use as many
features as we did this year. This year we had to use the mountain tool to
edit our music video to put many scenes together to flow as one. The
mountain tool helped us very well with the lip-synching because in some
scenes of the video the lip synching was slightly out to the words of the
song and it helped us blend the lip-synching with the words of the song
together perfectly. This tool was also really useful because some of the
scenes were shot in a darker place than others but the mountain tool
helped us lighten it up so it would fit the atmosphere of the song.
6. Audience Research
For our audience research we used many different media technologies such as
survey monkey, youtube, channel 4’s top 100 music videos and facebook. We
used survey monkey to make a questionnaire about which sort of audience this
would apply to so we used questions about age, genre and what kind of group
the song and video would be related to, most people said teenage girls and
boys. We used YouTube to find the inspiration for what we were going to add in
our music video. By watching the top 100 music videos it gave our group many
different ideas that we could pitch together for the music video
7. Software’s
Slide share is one of the new software’s we used which is very helpful
because it gives us a way to put our slideshows on our blog. This software
was very useful because every slideshow we made to do with our music video
we could put on our blog very quickly, we could put lots of information on
different slides to help people understand and be able to read clearly what
we’re writing about which is a huge success as it gives them information and
they can take it in easier. Another software we could of used was prezi which
is very useful because it allows us to make fun and interesting slides about
out music video which would attract audiences more. Prezi was a very
difficult software to use as there was so many thing you would have to do to
make it right but it seemed very fun to use as you got used to it. It has many
different gadgets that were perfect to use for a blog.
8. Creating Magazine Advert
To create our magazine advert and digipak we had to use still images from the
music video or by taking still shots with the camera, for this all we had to do was
print screen certain images from our music video and then edit them on picnik
which is a new software we used which involved different ways to edit a picture. on
this website I learned many different skills as oppose to brighten the picture, add
writing or by playing around with different effects, this helped make the advert and
digipak look very professional as picnik has the special features to do so. This
helped us add information about the artist and which brand liked the song and
which rating they gave the song.
