This document evaluates solar electric power technologies in Jordan using fuzzy set methodology. It assesses photovoltaic (PV) systems and solar ponds based on parameters like power capacity, efficiency, cost, land usage, and safety. The results show that PV technology is better suited for generating electricity in Jordan in terms of benefit-to-cost ratios. PV requires further research and development support to improve its competitiveness, but offers advantages like generation during peak loads and lower greenhouse gas emissions compared to fossil fuels. While solar ponds can effectively store and provide heat and electricity, PV is currently more practical and cost-effective for power generation in Jordan.

Abstract: Photovoltaic power system has become most acceptable renewable energy system for rural areas that do not have access to grid system. This system was designed to supply electricity to Akodo which does not have access to the national grid network of power supply in Nigeria. Akodo, a community in Ibeju Lekki Local Government Area of Lagos State, which is made up of about 150 houses and requires about 89KW load which can be supply conveniently by the solar diesel system, is found to be more appropriate in this research work. The initial cost seemed to be on the high side, but on the long run the maintenance of the system which was very minute accorded the system significant advantage. It is now economical to embark on this research work which would be found to be highly beneficial.

Solar energy has been widely tapped around the world replacing conventional non-renewable energy. Currently, one of the most challenging problems is to increase the quantity of energy tagged from solar energy. Before installing solar panels, assessing where solar panels should be placed can significantly benefit panel performance. This study aims to conduct a site selection analysis for solar panel installation using Geographical Information Systems (GIS). The focus of the analysis is on building rooftop PVC panel installation. In this study, Google Earth images were used to digitize the rooftop that is potential for solar PVC panel and derive the areas using ArcGIS software.

Designing of Solar Air Conditioning for Four Wheelerijtsrd
In present day scenario natural resources like fuel, coal are used extremely and in the coming years the availability of these resources would fall down drastically. So its high time for the people all over the world to find the alternative other than these resources. Electrical vehicles operated with batteries is one example to say that technology is progressing at a brisk phase. Another example of the natural source of energy is sun, and in this project solar energy is used as a remedy to optimize its fullest. To use solar energy and convert it further into electrical energy requires some components and their functions are to be well understood. A PV solar cell is used to directly change solar energy into electrical energy, a battery for storage of collected solar energy and a single phase DC motor which is run by battery power. The purpose of the motor is to transfer power to compressor to move and start the process. By the functioning of these components, making a note of dimension of the vehicle, material used for preparing vehicle outer body and glass heat load calculations are calculated and a result is not favorable for designing solar air conditioning system In future solar energy is going to be one of the predominant sources of energy in coming the days due to its abundant availability. The energy vision for the U.S. calls for dramatic increases in the use of wind power by the year 2050.
The use of offshore wind farms will play a vital role in achieving this goal. Even though there are some
challenges with implementing wind power in the Gulf of Mexico, the advantages and benefits should allow the
U.S. to overcome these challenges.
The Application of Homer Optimization Software to Investigate the Prospects o...IJECEIAES
This paper investigates the prospects and cost-effectiveness of implementation of standalone PV/wind system in sokoto state Nigeria. Daily electricity demand, yearly solar radiation and wind speed were applied to determine the optimum sizing of the renewable energy (RE) system. To design optimum RE with proper sizing of system components, meteorological data obtained from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration were applied as input for this study. In Nigeria, sokoto is a region with solar radiation of 6kWh/m 2 /day and wind speed of 5m/s at 10m above height. Using the Homer optimization software, the optimum integrated RE system is 35.21kW PV, 3 x 25kW wind turbines, 12 x 24V lead acid battery and 17.44kW converter. The system has a total capital cost of $249910.24, the replacement cost of $82914.85 and maintenance cost of $53802.80 for 25 years. Though the initial capital cost is high but the long term benefits are enormous, considering the high cost of implementing rural electrification scheme, coupled with ahike in electricity tariff. There is also a payback period of 5 years. The results imply a standalone PV/wind system is feasible in rural communities of sokoto with 100% pollution free energy system.

Abstract:
In this paper, parabolic trough solar thermal plants are proposed. Two key parameters, solar multiple (SM) and full load hours of thermal energy storage (TES), are optimised by maximising the annual energy and minimising the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE). This work presents a comparative study, based on the 4E (energy–exergy–environment–economic) analysis, of the optimised plant with a reference plant. The performance evaluation of the optimised plant is carried out in eight different locations of Bangladesh. The result obtained shows that the salt plant has the best performance compared to that of the thermal oil plant. The salt plant requires a lower LCOE of 9.86 ¢/kWh. It also possesses a maximum capacity factor of 39.5% and generates the highest annual energy of 171.1 GWh. From the feasibility study, Cox’s Bazar is found as the best location of eight different regions of Bangladesh

The aim of this research is to utilize the new control algorithm of the sun tracker and the developed computer capabilities to improve the efficiency of tracking. The new tracking method installed on new innovative approach of water distillation taking advantage of high possible concentration of parabolic trough collector to reach a new level of daily harvest per square meter. Water distillation yield is predicted to score high percentage output of distillate due to the high temperature average about 40 degrees as maximum and 30 degrees as minimum. Also the high sunny hours about 9-12 hours per day. Mechanical system will be designed and tested for high ability to withstand the extra loading also some imperfections are forecasted. The present study may found more reliable and trusting techniques in tracking and water distillation. Saline water distillation as predicted will score a noticeable level because of the use of parabolic collector and promoted the efficiency. Keeping good temperature difference between vapor and condensation surface will increase the output and reduce the capacity of temperature. The mechanical design must be convenient to Sultanate Oman climate conditions and have to running, smoothly and safe.
Design of Hybrid Solar-Wind Power System for a Coaster Area in Lagos State, S...paperpublications3
Abstract: Akodo community in Ibeju Lekki local government area of Lagos State is a rural area without access to grid electricity. Extension of the grid to the community is difficult and uneconomical; hence a hybrid energy system stands as a solution for electrification in Akodo.
In this project, the HOMER (Hybrid Optimization Model for Electric Renewables) software was used to simulate a Solar and Wind hybrid system. In terms of energy delivery, the design was adequate for the 89kW load of the community. The important variables in the simulation are the level of availability of resources and the slope of the PV modules. The slope of the modules at 12o and 15o gave different levelised costs of energy (LCOE) of N27.521/kWh for the 12o PV slope and N28.846/kWh for the 15o PV slope. The PV slope at 12o is more desirable and more economical than that at 15o. The hybrid system is proposed for a project lifetime of 25 years.
Hybrid Photovoltaic and thermoelectric systems more effectively converts solar energy into electrical energy. Two sources of energy are used one of the energy is solar, that converts radiant light into electrical energy and heat energy which will convert heat into electricity.Photovoltaic cells and thermoelectric modules are used to capture and convert the energy into electricity.Furthermore solar-thermoelectric hybrid system is environmental friendly and has no harmful emissions.Solar-thermoelectric hybrid system increases the overall reliability without sacrificing the quality of power generated. In this paper an overview of the previous research and development of technological advancement in the solar-thermoelectric hybrid systems is presented.

Pilot Solar Thermal Power Plant Station in Southwest LouisianaIJAPEJOURNAL
Solar thermal plants are basically power plants that generate electricity from high-temperature heat. The difference between them and conventional power plants is that instead of deriving energy from gas, coal or oil, the sun provides the energy that drives the turbines. In this paper we will give a brief demonstration of solar thermal power and different system designs of solar thermal power plants. Then we will see the feasibility of implementing solar power plants in Louisiana which currently depends mostly on its conventional power plants which use traditional fuels such as gas, oil, and coal. This study was a part of a proposal that was funded by the US the Department of Energy to construct solar thermal plant near Lafayette, Louisiana. The power plant is currently under the construction and it will be completed by Summer of 2013

This paper proposes a greener environmental-friendly, renewable energy power generation solution
deployable to indigenous farmlands in Nigeria when comparing them to the use of fossil fuels which produce
high-level carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. The PV solar panel farm system comprises of 4 PV arrays delivering
a sum of 400kW at 100W/m2 sun irradiance in connection to the Grid. The Design and Simulation model (as
shown in Figure 5) in this paper were carried out using MATLAB/SIMULINK version 2021a comprising of
various physical and mathematical block models. The results (as seen in Figure 23) show the real power, reactive
power and apparent power help to indicate the outstanding performance index of the model when compared to
fossil fuel power generation. The economic relevance of this design is its ability to attenuate the cost of power
generation and global warming.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
