1. Who would be the audience for my magazine?
My music magazine is aimed at males in the age bracket of 16-24 year olds. It is
predominantly aimed at students, with a big interest in music, who perhaps cannot
afford other magazines, because they have a low amount of disposable income. I
have reflected this audience in my both my language and the appearance of the
magazine as a whole. I have produced an Audience Profile (see blog) to reflect my
average target reader.
-I have carried out a survey online in order to gather information about what my
target audience would like in a music magazine. The responses suggested that the
audience would be interested in a cheap magazine full of content and interviews
rather than adverts on every other page. It also showed that a magazine featuring a
wider range of music genres would be preferred.
