2. Photoshop
 Photoshop is an desktop publishing technology which is really
good for editing pictures. Which is published by
Adobe Systems.
 The use of Photoshop has helped me to
successfully create my front page and
contents page of my music magazine.
 There are a range of tools which I have used
including the eraser tools, magic wand,
liquify tool, history brush tool as well as the patch tools.
 One of my favourite tools was the quick selection tool
(Selection Tool) which helps to select an area such as a
persons top in a fast and efficient manner.
 What I really like about Photoshop was If I was unable to find
the correct tool I needed I could simply find an online tutorial
about how to use the tool. An example of this was for the
liquify tool!

3. Blogger
 Blogger is an website which allows us to publish all sorts of
posts on there.
 Blogger is the heart of my coursework
portfolio because its where I have uploaded
all my work.
 The good things about blogger is that I am
able to create and customize the
appearance of how I would like my
blog page to look. I have done this successfully as I have
made a grey background with green being the main text
colour.
 What I really like about Blogger is it has the feature to embed
audio and movies into the site. Which means that other
people can watch a YouTube video directly from my blog
instead of on YouTube.

4. InDesign
 InDesign is another Adobe created desktop publishing
technology programme. It has helped me to create my
Double Page Spreads.
 InDesign was very quick and simple to use as it did not have
layers like Photoshop which is much harder to use, however
becomes easier when you know how to use it.
 One of the best things about InDesign was I
was able to use a feature called “Place” where I was a directly
place images from the computer straight into my InDesign
Document. I also had the option to “Edit With” which opens up
another programme like Photoshop where I can edit/ change
pictures on there and it will be automatically updated on my
InDesign Document.
 What I didn't like about InDesign was it does not
have any spell check tools which checks my text.
This could be a bad thing If I made my text up on
the spot. However I copied it from a Microsoft
document.

5. Cameras
 I used 2 different cameras throughout my coursework task.
 The first was a Samsung S3 which was used
for my preliminary task. The second was one
provided my school and was a Nikon SLR
which was the main
one I used.
 The Nikon camera was much better then my
phones camera as its main purpose was to take
pictures where as a phone is too take pictures.
 The best feature which I learnt using the Nikon camera was the
use feature called“ automatic focus”. This was very effective
because it meant that the camera wanted until my hand stop
shaking and then focused the lenses.
 What I didn't like about the Nikon camera
to take pictures for my music magazine, is
that the lenses tend to get dirty and dusty
however a special cloth is needed. However
was
not always to hand!
