Things I’ve learnt… Blogs - I’ve learnt how to upload photos on to a blog and other documents on publisher etc. blogs are limited but I worked around it, for example you cant upload word documents on to blogger but i found other ways of getting my work on there. I used slideshare for uploading PowerPoint's which I had to learn how to use. Blogs are integrating media because there are so many different softwares that can be uploaded on to them. Survey Monkey – I learnt how to produce a questionnaire and customize it so that its exactly how I want it. Then I had to get data from it by getting others to complete it for me to get some research. Its easy to look at your results and analyze them using survey monkey. But its remote research that you can’t control which could be a disadvantage of using this website.

4. Photoshop – I had never used Photoshop before starting this project so everything I did on it was completely new to me so I learnt how do to a lot of things on it by the time I’d finished my product. I learnt how to: put text in, pictures, gradient, drop shadow, inner shadow, strokes, crop, sharpen, highlight areas, use the magnetic lasso, magic wand tool, adjust the levels of colour in photos. I couldn’t have produced my final product if I hadn’t used Photoshop because I edited all of my photos on it and everything I needed on my magazine was available on Photoshop.

Technology’s advantages and disadvantages Digital cameras have a lot of advantages because once you’ve taken a photo it will be saved for you to go on and edit if required or you can delete it if you don’t want it. You can see instantly the photo you’ve taken and whether you need to take another one or not. This saves a lot of time because we may think it’s a good photo but if we cant see it straight away then it might be blurred or something and we won’t know. This could cause us to repeatedly take photos over again which can be time consuming and an inconvenience for the models. Photoshop allows us to edit photos and text if we wish to, which makes the quality of things better and an overall better look for the product. Memory sticks give us the opportunity to save all our work at once on a portable device which is very helpful for wherever we do our work. However some files become corrupt and unusable on these if they aren’t used correctly and they could be lost easily because they are quite small, also they aren’t always reliable. Digital technologies are based on convenience so you can do things through one device. Some technologies make people more lazy though which is a negative of them.
