1. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing the products?
2. Camera Equipment The strengths of the camera equipment were that: It was able to pick up the necessary sound files that we needed to make it realistic. It could pick up all of the camera shots, without them becoming blurred/ distorted. The weaknesses were: It wasn’t able to do all of the shots i.e. tilts/ pans at exactly the speed we wanted.
3. New Equipment Used Dolly – we used this to follow JFK in two of the scenes that we used, to add an effect of continuity in the film. Final Cut – This was used to create the end product, as it was the best program for using the different features that we used. For example when we wanted to put camera sounds and stills on. Prezi – we used this as a way of displaying some of our work, mainly because it was reasonably simple and was presented in a way which we could interpret. This was good because we could then add this to our work easily and efficiently.
4. Editing Software The editing software that we used was particularly helpful for us as it meant that our film was able to look professional and glamorous. This was particularly important for the genre of Film Noir which is centered around celebrities and the Hollywood lifestyle. Final Cut was a big part of this as we could put all of our work in and get a good final product. This meant that we could get everything we wanted, all from the single program.
