TVC MAKING
 TVCs are powerful tools to pursue the attention of public
 There are a few things to be considered in TVC making
 A limited amount of time to deliver the message
 TVCs attempt to appeal to viewers on an emotional level
 Slogans, music, images, dialogue, and special effects are
used to gain viewers’ attention
TVC MAKING
 Develop a plan, including Pre-production
Production
Post-production
 Careful planning during the pre-production phase
 It will significantly reduce production costs & editing time

DETERMINE OBJECTIVES
 Creative meeting helps identify your objectives
 Brainstorm ideas in the meetings
 Developing a concept saves time
 TV production personnel will meet to relay your ad
TVC PRE-PRODUCTION
Script And Storyboard
 The TV commercial is first fleshed out in storyboards
 The storyboard is a visual map of the scenes
 Copywriter develops TVC script
 Fine tune Script after the storyboards
 Test your message after the concepts developed
 Make the final changes in pre-production
TVC PRE-PRODUCTION
Budgeting, Resources & hiring Talent
 Budgeting encompasses all phases of project
 Permits, locations, Graphics, Props, Music, Wardrobe and
audio-visual equipments are the resources
 Before the start of production, the crew will rehearse
together
TVC PRODUCTION
 The actual filming of the commercial takes place
 The director coordinates the shoot using the storyboard
and shooting script
 Production of TVC can take a day or multiple days of
shooting
TVC POST-PRODUCTION
 It includes all video editing, sound editing and exporting
of the TV commercial
 Video editing is performed on a non-linear editing system
 The footage is reviewed, and the best performances put
together
 After editing, sound is mixed to make the audio level
 Once completed, the commercial is exported to the studio
TVC POST-PRODUCTION
 Small Sized Production – Film can be enhanced with a
single subject
 If the subject has been filmed from the same distance,
editors will allow shots to be cropped and zoomed
 Video will be enhanced with a blended up mix of shots
TVC POST-PRODUCTION
 Large Sized Production – Filmed at a music festival
 It often filmed at a number of locations
 The editor will be able to change the scene and angles of
the actor and environment
 It help to create an engaging story
