- 2. In my magazine I used many traditional conventions of a magazine for example a barcode which is used as a code to read the price through the till. I also used mastheads to catch the attention of possible readers, main image and a logo (of the school symbol).
- 3. On my front cover I have represented students as happy, well dressed and friendly students to show how despite my magazine being made for a school it still involves an aspect which is directed to make it seem more appropriate to school friendship groups. The magazine is trying to show everyone how good the school is and how nice the school is so it leaves a good impression on the people who read it.
- 4. Due to my magazine being for a school it will not be distributed by a publisher. It will be made by staff or students at the school as well as printed and distributed.
- 5. My magazine is aimed at ages 11+ because It will be distributed in a secondary school (Beaverwood School for Girls) where it is available to both students and teachers. This means it has to be aimed at a more mature audience using more complex language as well as colloquial. When the students take the magazine home there parents will also see so the magazine is used to show the best parts of the school.
- 6. I attracted my audience by using bold, colour fonts which will catch the audiences eye when walking past which will make them want to read the magazine. My main image creates a friendly feel to the magazine which students can relate to meaning they will want to find out more about what the magazine consists of. Finally I used strap lines to draw people into the most exciting articles in the magazine.
- 7. I used four main technologies (PowerPoint, Photoshop, word and blogger) to help create my media product. In the future I am confident that I would be able to use my new knowledge to create an even stronger magazine.
