Evaluation- 5
• One main tactic I used to attract my target
audience was through the price. During my
research, I found that people of this age group
don’t have enough money spare to waste on
magazines, so tend to only fork out small
amounts- about £2-3. By making the price
lower, I was appealing to the financial worries
of a student/young person.
• The colour pallet is also something which
attracts my target audience- it’s not bright and
flashy, so it creates a calmer vibe around the
magazine. This atmosphere is more appealing
to the ‘outsiders’ that the product is aimed at.
The flashes of red used could also appeal, as
they connote the emotion of the music.
• The type of informal language used to address
the audience was also key to the attraction. I
didn’t want my approach to come of as
patronising, but I did want the magazine to
appear friendly ad approachable. It was
essential to strike that balance, and I feel as
though I have.
