Did my filmmatch up to my original idea?
Overall,Iwouldsaythatmy final shortfilmwasprettysimilartomyprojectconcept,there wasonly
a fewdifferencestheirandthierinthe storyline butoverall,Iwouldsayitwasprettyclose.Firstly,I
alwaysknewfromthe getgo I was goingto create a part 2 versionof myfilmitwas justabout
comingup withthe beststoryline.Ialsohadto thinkaboutif I wantedtoendthe trilogyinthisnew
filmorthinkabout anothercliff hangerwhichcouldeventuallyleadtoa part 3. Originally,whatI
wantedtodo was a storyline whichwouldstartwithmyfictional character,“Tops”and Jeffrey
gettingarrestedfollowingthiswouldbe acourtcase where theywouldbothbe sentencedandthen
latercome out to findKyle andkidnaphim.Well myfinal short filmdidn’tturnoutthat wayand I
endedupdoingan interrogationscene.Ikeptthe conceptof the menlookingforKyle butonce again
changedthe conclusionintothe deathof Jason.
How did I developmy initial ideaand why?
Well whatwasmeantto happenwasthat the centre pointof the filmwasto be in the interrogation
room witha seriesof flashbacksof differentwaysthatmyfictional characterDarrenBrown was
killedsuggestingthatthe otherswouldbe snitching.Idevelopedthisintobothmycriminals
answeringinterrogationquestionswith,“nocomment”.Thisgave myfilmamore realisticview.
Addingtothat, I developedmyendingwithKyle gettingkidnappedwhichwaswhatIthoughtof
initiallytohisfriendJasonbeingkidnappedinsteadand thenontop of that beingbrutallymurdered.
Thiswas to shockmy audience andtoleave the filminanothercliff-hanger.

The 4 thingsabove iswhat I would sayneededimprovementthe most.Ifeel like Icouldhave
had a range of differentshottypesratherthanthe commonmediumshotI use a lot.The
pace at timeswasa bitweirdespeciallymyopeningscene withmyinterrogationtaking
place.My camera movementwasabitdodgyat timesandI needtolearnto keepitstill.
Lastlysome of myshotswhere to brightandsome were toodark. I had problemswith
lightinginlastyearfilmandithas now re -occurred.I needtopractice shootingwitha
camera to improve onthis.
