2. Genre
Chosen Genre : Horror
We had a group discussion on what genre we would
choose and concluded that horror would be the main
genre we would focus on.
We originally looked at sci-fi but chose horror as we
thought it will be easier to make look like a real film
trailer.
3. Synopsis
Possible Name: ‘Elude’
Storyline:
Two teenagers follow a light they see into an abandoned
building. One of them does not think it is a good idea,
whilst the other filled with confidence wants to track the
light down. Whilst searching for what they saw they
become separated. One boy uses a phone/camcorder to
capture what he sees, his friend later discovers the
phone/camcorder abandoned with no trace of his friend. He
will search for his friend despite his opposing feelings
towards staying there.
4. Horror Iconography
These are the sort of places that have
become associated with horror movies. As
you can see abandoned buildings and lifeless
forests are common in horror movies and we
wanted to implement this into our trailer.
Horror films are usually centered around the
arrival of an event/creature. i.e. the light
they see.

7. Costumes + Actors

We decided on casual clothing based
on what we saw in other horror
trailers. In several trailers we
watched the common theme was a
group of friends enjoying themselves
but then end up in a bad situation.
Main two actors will be George and
Marcus. We have people that will be
willing to film for us. Also if required
we have people that will be extras.
8. Possible Locations
This is the building we were
hoping to use in our trailer. We
feel the location and the interior
fit what the look we wanted to
achieve.
We also have another location
of an abandoned warehouse
which we can also use.
