A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Objective:
Prepare a presentation or a paper using research, basic comparative analysis, data organization and application of economic information. You will make an informed assessment of an economic climate outside of the United States to accomplish an entertainment industry objective.
2. Distribution 1:
The most realistic way I would distribute my film would be either as low budget
student film, or as an independent film. Going down the path of a low budget
student film, I would begin by reaching out to my friends and family by holding
a small screening at my house to see their reaction and move forward from
here. Following this, I would most likely upload my film to Vimeo to reach out to
a wider audience. To get the message out I could also post links to my film on
social media such as Facebook and Instagram and get my friends with large
followings to share the link.
3. Going down the independent film root. I would start by reaching out and see to
any small cinemas, such as the Olympic in Barnes/Curzon/Picturehouse, would
give me a good price or possibly a free showing of my film.
I could hold it as a small premiere to get people involved and excited
about the film. A good way to start advertising my film would be to
make a few small trailers, which I could post on websites such as YouTube
and Vimeo, but also I could see if any websites or apps such as Instagram
and Facebook would feature my trailer or images of my film.
Distribution 2:
4. I would also think about making around 200-300 physical copies by burning
the product onto a DVD and giving it out to friends and family, but also
possibly distribute them out to the general public to yet again get more publicity.
A less modern way to get my movie out there is by sticking posters around the
streets, whether they're on billboards or on the side of the road, people of the
public are likely to see them and hopefully will get them interested. I could even
get a team together and begin to hand out flyers to get the name of the film out
even more.
5. Distribution 3:
The most aspirational way distribute film out would be in a large scale, to multi-
national corporations such as Disney or Warner Brothers. As they are some of
the largest film production companies in the world, they often have multi million
pound budgets, allowing their promotion and advertisement to be perfect but
also very expensive.
They would make a variety of trailers - a teaser trailer, a longer trailer which they
would show during breaks on TV, in cinemas before the film comes on, as
adverts on YouTube. All of this will make the general public more aware of the
film and make them want to watch it. As companies such as Disney and Warner
Bros are so big and known world wide, the general public would see that it was
produced by them and know it will be good and well made so will be drawn to
see it more.
6. Lastly, I could attempt to do a viral marketing campaign; which is any
marketing technique that induces websites or users to pass on a marketing
message to other sites or users, creating a potentially exponential growth in
the message's visibility and effect. For example the campaign for Batman,
the dark night, they created a whole online world for the joker, which really
hyped people for the real film coming out.
Another thing they often do, is instead of what I would do on a low budget
film and put posters up, they would use huge electronic billboards in cities
such as London and Tokyo to grab people's attention and again, make them
want to go and see it.
