This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
The Art Pastor's Guide to Sabbath | Steve ThomasonSteve Thomason
What is the purpose of the Sabbath Law in the Torah. It is interesting to compare how the context of the law shifts from Exodus to Deuteronomy. Who gets to rest, and why?

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
Instructions for Submissions thorugh G- Classroom.pptxJheel Barad
This presentation provides a briefing on how to upload submissions and documents in Google Classroom. It was prepared as part of an orientation for new Sainik School in-service teacher trainees. As a training officer, my goal is to ensure that you are comfortable and proficient with this essential tool for managing assignments and fostering student engagement.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
2. DIGIPAK
In my digipak I have used forms and conventions from indie products like The
Libertines as well as looking how other bands such as The Arctic Monkeys and Oasis
have structured their digipak which gave me ideas and allowed me to develop them
further and use different ideas from each band to make my digipak.
Colour Scheme : The indie digipak which I have researched uses colours such
as, red, black and white. They use the black and white to represent the genre
of the music being indie. The red tops it up to represents the rebellious attitude.
3. Fonts: For the track list part of
The fonts used for the digipak are sort of the same the digipak, the font used
style with the fonts used by The Libertines. This blends with the image and
represents the style of the indie genre as well as the whole style of the
the do-it-yourself attitude. design as it’s a bit hard to
see which The Libertines
use this style in one of their
albums which I thought it
would be good to use for
our digipak.
I have decided to use
this font, a magazine
torn letters/words for
the digipak and advert
as it gives it an indie
look as well as
representing the band
whom we picked.
4. Photography:
For the digipak, we’ve used naturalist images as The Libertines
photographs are shot in real location and have a natural look as if
they don’t know there is a camera present so we decided to base
our digipak and advert image to this style ‘naturalistic’
5. Advert
We decided to base the same image and design from the digipak
front cover to the advert as most adverts follows the conventions and
the forms from the albums which makes the audience recognise the
band’s music album cover.
The font we used is similar to the one The Libertines use as we
tended to follow the style/structure by The Libertines.
6. Music Video
Location: As done my music video research I realised that The Libertines
and other indie bands/artist like the Arctic Monkeys tend to shot in real
location. Also I noticed that The Libertines music videos are quite
naturalistic so we as a group decided to shot our music video in real
location and make it look natural instead of ‘staged’ even when they
performed which is what makes The Libertines show the indie genre
stereotype of being rebellious as well as representing the genre itself.
7. Costumes:
The Libertines in their video ‘don’t look back into the sun’ they wear a costume
military look but in their other music videos they wear casual everyday clothes as
they act natural towards the camera. The casual clothing wear is part of the indie
stereotype and by following the convention of an indie genre.
8. Camera work:
The Libertines tend to use a rough camera work in their music videos. As their
videos tend to be naturalistic, they just move and do whatever they want and they
camera just has to follow them. This represents the rebellious do-it-yourself
attitude within the indie genre and the stereotype from The Libertines.
9. The combination of my main product and ancillary text are the fact that
they blend perfectly together as we decided that some of the images for
the digipak was to be taken from the music video. This gave the
audience the ability to formalize themselves to the bands products and
have the knowledge to distinguish the band members as well as giving
a more easy distribution to the package as a whole and knowing their
target audience.
The font which we used for The Libertines name, we used it not only in
the digipak but also in the advert which gives it a similar look to The
Libertines original digipak and advert.
The colour scheme white and black, we used it throughout the digipak
and the advert as it gave it the indie genre look as well as making both
of these product have a strong link between them.

11. This is our audience response summary from our music video.
12. To gain more audience feedback for our music video, we creating survey
monkey. This gave the audience an opportunity to tell us what they though
of the video.
From the research, we found out that most people who gave us the
feedback liked indie music which was useful as it gave us a more accurate
result and what indie fans look for in a music video. In the feedback they
think that the video went well with the song and fitted perfectly to the indie
genre even though some suggested more quick shorter shots as well as
naturalistic shots as some looked ‘staged’
13.
14. Research
For the researching part of the project I used Wikipedia to help me find
information on the indie genre and about The Libertines as well as other indie
bands/artist. I then used YouTube which helped me look and analyse The
Libertines and other indie bands/artist’s music video which I was able to
gather all my research and post it in blogger.
Its very useful and allowed me to edit posts, save post as drafts and allow to
update out blog electronically as we progressed through our project as well as
add videos, images, PowerPoint presentations and follow others members
from my group so we can share our information and work.
15. Planning
We created our digipak and advert using Photoshop. Having
design a music magazine cover for our AS coursework, it made
it easier for us to use Photoshop in order to create our
products.
I have used PowerPoint in order to present my work in an
organized way when doing a long research and planning which
was easier to place any text or image where and I wanted. I then
was able to just upload my PowerPoint into my blogger account
through slide share.
We have also used our mobile phones blogger app in order to
update our blogs and add extra work taken from our phones.
This gave it an easier access when not being able to access
blogger through a computer.
16. Production
For our music video, digipak and advert images
we used the Nikon D600 camera which gave us a
more advance technology which was easy in order
to film and take photographs for our production
allowing us to zoom in from quite far away and get
a great piece.
We used a MacBook in order to make our music
video using the software Final Cut Pro. We though
it was easy to use and allowed us to place
different shots anywhere and edit them easily.
17. Audience research survey
We used survey monkey in order to find out what they audience
liked about indie music, and what artist they mostly enjoyed. As
well as finding out what they would look for in an indie music
video which helped us on the planning of our music video,
digipak and advert.
Survey monkey also allowed us to place questionnaire for our
music video and place the link in YouTube under our music
video for people to be able to give us feedback.
Once we finished editing out music video, we upload our video
to YouTube from Final Cut Pro.
