This document discusses the various software, websites, and hardware used to create a product. It describes using Internet Explorer and Blogger to conduct research and plan the project online. Photoshop and external storage like memory sticks were used for production. 4. Internet Explorer
(Blogger, SlideShare etc.)
Internet explorer is something that I could not have done my product without. I would
have virtually impossible to do any of the research or planning parts of my production.
The good thing about the internet is that it can be used to find lots of information that
might not be availably anywhere else. The negative side is that it is not always
information that is 100% accurate such as things from Wikipedia as you do not know who
has written it.
I used blogger to upload all of my research, planning etc. so that it can all be viewed
online in one place. The advantage of this is that it is all in one place and is essentially
safe, but the down side of this is that the blog can be lost at any time as I found out, it
also only supports specific file type such as pdf and picture, other files have to uploaded
differently.
SlideShare is what I used to overcome this problem, the PowerPoint is uploaded onto
slideshare and then a embedded code is coped into blogger that allows this PowerPoint
to be viewable without changing any formats.

5. Other
(Photoshop, External Memory & Hardware)
As I have been working on this product in various different places it was essential to have
all my work on a memory stick, this also was the case as my laptop did not have enough
room to hold all of the work.
Although there are alternative programs that I could have used to create my magazine, I
feel as though this product would have been impossible without Photoshop. I had good
knowledge of Photoshop before I stared but this had been progressed sue to this product
and the making off it. Skills such as; gradient, pen tool, colour levels, strokes, text tool,
layers, shape tool, line tool, character spacing and lots of editing.
I also used a camera for this, I feel as though my product would have been impossible to
complete without this too. I didn't’t use a tripod or anything when I was taking my photos
as I felt as though I needed to engage with the model and have more natural images
rather then very staged.

6. Adv. & Disadv.?
Adv:
The advantages of being able to use the internet and all of the
technology was that things were a lot quicker and can be done in a
shorter period of time rather than having to write it all up by had. I
could have done without all of the writing technology but I found it
easier with it.
Disadv:
The disadvantages of using so much technology is that it is not always
100% reliable some work can be lost and it is not always save being
saved on the internet alone, it all has to be backed up and this takes a
lot of time out of actually creating the product.
