The student learned several important skills regarding technology through completing their project. They learned how to use Photoshop and create blogs, both of which were new skills. While most of the technology used was necessary, they could have done without their memory stick and PowerPoint. Photoshop was essential and couldn't be done without, as no other software provided the same results. The positives of using technology were that it was quick, easy to use, and work could be saved and returned to later. However, technology can also encounter problems like slow performance, errors, and lost files, so backups are important.

14. What have I learnt about technology overall? Could you have completed your project without using any technology at all? I obviously couldn’t have completed my project without the access to technology as the point of the project was to create a magazine. There couldn’t of been another way for me to complete the task. What pieces of technology could you have done without? Most of the technology I used during the project was a must. An example of a piece of technology I could of done without would have been my memory stick, as I only used it to do some extra work at home. Another example of technology I could’ve done without would be Power Point. This is because I could of used Microsoft Word to complete the tasks I did on Power Point.

15. What have I learnt about technology overall? What pieces of technology couldn’t you do without? I couldn’t do without Photoshop as no other software could of given me the same result as Photoshop did. What were the positives of using technology? The positives of using technology was that it is quick and easy to use and can be saved and come back to at another point. What were the negatives of using technology? The negatives of using technology is that depending on the type of computer you are using you can encounter problems such as slow response, errors/crashing and misplace of files. That’s why a back up should always be made to ensure your work is completely safe.
