What have you learned about technologies from the process of
constructing this product?

2. Throughout the duration of my construction, the insight to
technologies effectively helped me to construct, as well as
improve, my final production.

3. MY LIST
• CS3 PHOTOSHOP (CS5 as well, as this was the only one I had at home.
Only for tweaks.)
• Internet Explorer, Google
• CANON 600D
• Microsoft PowerPoint

4. INTERNET EXPLORER / GOOGLE CHROME
As stated earlier, I did have to use this to research tutorials on using the camera, as well as
researching the codes of conventions of a music magazine. This developed my construction, as I had
to make sure it looked realistic and professional – similar to a real music magazine on the market.
Sites like Blogger and Slideshare were needed to post everything, to record all the steps that I had
to take in order to reach my final production.

5. DIGITAL CANON 600D
I liked that the camera was easy to use, it was all labelled which was
easy to read and figure out. Also, it had a large memory card which
enabled me to store lots of photos at a time and therefore figure out
my favourite after the photography session was finished.
I did, however, on several occasions needed to look up tutorials onto
the internet, for example, changing the shutter speed. The
combination of both technologies used helped me produce high
quality photos.

6. ADOBE PHOTOSHOP (CS3/5)
Photoshop was the software I used to edit all the photographs I took, add fonts/filters, and finalise
my whole production. It was the only program I used to make my magazine, and it helped me
create a professional looking product that you’d see on the market.

7. MICROSOFT POWERPOINT
I used this program to evaluate my final production, which I then needed to transfer to the website
Slideshare so that I could embed it into my blog, which could easily be viewed by others. Slideshare
is the only website I knew that could be used to upload PowerPoint presentations to.

8. CONCLUSION.
The technologies I used throughout my production all helped contribute to my final construction, as
well as allowing me to evaluate. For example, my production wouldn’t have had a professional
looking outcome without the use of Photoshop and the easily used digital camera. They all helped
me to develop new and old skills throughout, and now with these developments, I will be able to
use them for other projects in the near future.
