2. What is Hardware?
Computer hardware refers to the physical parts or components of a computer such as
the monitor, mouse, keyboard, computer data storage, hard disk drive. Hardware
refers to things that you can physically touch unlike software.

3. What did I use?
• In the process of me creating my final product I used a mac computer
which enabled me to do all of my work on here. A mac was a little hard to
use at first as I never used one before so it took me time to get used to
everything as its different to a normal computer, a mac was the best
thing to use as it’s very modern and quick and fast to use. Obviously I
used the keyboard and the mouse to navigate myself around the
computer and able myself to do things I need to do. I Used a Nikon
camera to take my photos for my front cover, contents page and article.
I used this camera because I have used it before and I know that my
photos came out clear and they looked very professional.

5. What is software?
• Software includes any programme’s on the computer that helped me to
put my magazine together successfully. Computer software, or simply
software is any set of machine readable instructions that directs a
computers processor to perform specific operations. computer
hardware and software require each other and neither can be realistically
used without the other. Computer software includes computer
programs, libraries and their associated documentation. The word
software is also sometimes used in a more narrow sense, meaning
application software only. Software is stored in computer memory and is
intangible so it cant be touched.

6. What did I use?
• In creating my media products I used a lot of software to help me put all
of my things together to a high standard. For my magazine front cover I
used Adobe Photoshop which was a new type of software I have never
used before so that took me a little while to get used to it. I used this to
create my whole front cover I uploaded my images firstly and re sized
them and changed them using the tools. I used graphics on my masthead
and my cover lines. As well as this I used in-design to create my magazine
article.

7. Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe photo-shop is a raster graphics editor developed and published by
Adobe systems for Windows and OS X. I used photo-shop quite a lot for
my front cover and my contents page. Photoshop was used to upload my
images for my media product and change them of how I wanted them
too look. I edited some of the photos so they looked better and added
effects to make them stand out more.
