Dat blijkt uit het tweede trendrapport van Woningen Blavier over de Belgische woningmarkt. De studie en analyse, uitgevoerd in september 2012 door Woningen Blavier in samenwerking met het onafhankelijk studiebureau iVox bij 500 Belgen met plannen om te bouwen, verbouwen of een woning te kopen, geeft een representatief beeld van de intenties en voorkeuren van gemiddelde kandidaat-bouwers, verbouwers en kopers uit Vlaanderen (57%) en Wallonië (31%); de overige 12% respondenten komt uit Brussel. Naar aanleiding van Wereld Schoolmelk Dag, een initiatief van de VN Food & Agriculture Organisation (FAO), lanceert Tetra Pak in Vlaanderen een schoolmelkcampagne om scholen, ouders en kinderen te sensibiliseren van het belang van melk in het kader van een gezonde en evenwichtige voeding. Er is nood aan bewustmaking, zo blijkt uit recente bevragingen i.s.m. de NGO GoodPlanet en Vlerick Management School: teveel kinderen ontbijten niet of af en toe (1 op 3) en drinken weinig gezonde dranken zoals melk. Steeds minder scholen verdelen nog schoolmelk, wat de kans om melk te drinken nog verkleint.

MS is vandaag voor het merendeel van de personen met MS (PmMS) een chronische aandoening die steeds beter beheersbaar wordt. Een zeer hinderlijke gevolg van MS is volgens ruim 60% van de PmMS vermoeidheid. Een innovatieve holistische aanpak uitgewerkt door Teva Pharma, een toonaangevende producent van MS medicatie, in nauwe samenwerking met het Nationaal MS Centrum (NMSC), de MS-Liga en het Mindfulness training instituut ITAM, pakt nu deze, dikwijls alles overheersende, vermoeidheid aan die typisch is voor de ziekte. Een mix van laagdrempelige informatie, telegeneeskunde en mindfulness trainingen moet de nodige steun (mijnsteunbijms) bieden aan PmMS om zelf de koers van hun leven te bepalen en de invaliderende vermoeidheid aan te pakken.
Hoewel de crisis minder impact heeft op de timing van de (ver)bouw of aankoop projecten, maakt de Belg zich zorgen over de stijgende belastingdruk, de energieprijzen en de mogelijke afschaffing van de woonbonus en andere overheidspremies. Er is nood aan duidelijkheid op gebied van steunmaatregelen en een versoepeling van de wetgeving op gebied van energieprestaties.
Bijna 1/3de van de Belgische KMO’s zegt onvoldoende sterk te staan om de crisis te overleven. Deze alarmerende situatie zorgt voor veel stress bij minstens 1 op 2 KMO zaakvoerders. KMO’s zijn dan ook erg pessimistisch. Minder dan 15% heeft nog vertrouwen in het beleid van de Europese, Federale of gewestelijke beleidsmakers en 2 op 3 stelt resoluut dat het barslecht gesteld is met het ondernemingsklimaat in ons land. De KMO’s, ondervinden het meeste hinder van de kost op arbeid, de hoge energieprijzen, de complexe wetgeving en de administratieve lasten. Een beter ondernemingsklimaat is volgens de KMO leiders afhankelijk van lagere loon- en sociale lasten, betere economische vooruitzichten, minder administratieve verplichtingen, meer flexibiliteit en inzet van werknemers en een betere afstemming van het onderwijs op de arbeidsmarkt. Het is verrassend dat een aanpassing van de loonindex of meer autonomie voor de gewesten erg laag scoren als factoren die groei ten goede zouden komen. Een lichtpunt is dat 36% van de KMO’s nog steeds de intentie heeft om de komende zes maanden te rekruteren.
Het eenheidsstatuut, dat door een arrest van het Grondwettelijk Hof, over 1 jaar in werking moet treden, lijkt verder af dan ooit. Vooral arbeiders staan lijnrecht tegenover hun werkgevers. Het wordt voor de sociale partners en de regering een zware opdracht om alle partijen op één lijn te krijgen. Arbeiders en bedienden willen immers geen rechten verliezen, terwijl de bedrijven vrezen dat het eengemaakte statuut onbetaalbaar wordt. Tempo-Team pleit ervoor om de gelijkstelling te kaderen in de modernisering van de arbeidsmarkt en hierbij rekening te houden met de al zware kost van arbeid en de arbeidsmarkt mobiliteit extra te stimuleren ipv verder af te remmen
