and I also did not want to acquire a massive school loan debt before medical school. I
transferred to UMass Lowell as a Biology major after my first semester of freshman
year. I then became a Psychology major with a minor in Sociology and
Developmental Studies and graduated in May 2016.

In this report, a discussion regarding about Mother Teresa who was born on August
26, 1910, in Skopje, Macedonia, which is the capital of the Republic of
Macedonia. Her religion was Catholic and she was a great missionary. Mother
Teresa taught in India for 17 years before in 1946 she experienced her call within a
call to devote herself to caring for the sick and poor people. In this moment, she
started her humanitarian and famous story surround in the world.
Mother Teresa was the founder of the Order of the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman
Catholic congregation of women dedicated to helping the poor.
In 1979, she received the Nobel Peace Prize for her humanitarian work. She passed

of the greatest humanitarians of the 20th century. In 2016 Mother Teresa was

popularity surge in tattoos from the last decade, and the number continues to rise.
One of the possible explanations for this increase might be that tattoos have evolved
to become part of the mainstream media or trend which mainly sprouted from the
middle class. Other explanations have said that tattoos reflect the time and society
and change when it occurs, but also self expression. One thing for certain amidst all
the explanations is that tattoos hold a significant element in redefining society in its
control and setting of norms. In an interesting journal excerpt, Why Do People Get
Tattoos? it explains that there have been perceptions of tattooed women having
transient sexual relationships and thus being labeled as being from the lower class
throughout history. The article continues to delve deeper into the subject by giving
an example of a rape case which was dropped by a lawyer due to the victim having a
tattoo (Kang, Jones 352). It is interesting to see the negative connotations some have
of tattooed women because they do not fit into the society s ideal standard of
femininity and immediately think it lessens the woman s class, even to the point
where they would not defend them in a court case. Although many would like to
think that tattoos have provided women an opportunity to challenge the said
traditional standards of femininity, not all believe so. On the contrary, some believe
that women use their tattoos to enforce these standards rather than empower

Biography
John Birks Dizzy Gillespie, along with Charlie Parker, ushered in the era of Be
Bop in the American jazz tradition. He was born Cheraw, South Carolina, and was
the youngest of nine children. He began playing piano at the age of four and
received a music scholarship to the Laurinburg Institute in North Carolina. Most

standards in a negative way. In the novel Sarah s Key, Sarah frequently proves to
struggle with both guiltand innocence. These specific themes are put on display

politics is what we call, political socialization. Given a quiz before hand, we were
tested on out political socialization to be shown what our views lean towards. Our
group was tested to see where they thought they stood on a scale labeling us to
either be more liberal or more conservative. Later during the quiz, we were given
specific questions that would place place us on a two dimensional ideology
diagram to see where we actually stood from answering the questions truthfully. Our
group will compare and contrast each other s personal results from taking the quiz
and also talk about the publics placement. Knowing that we all live a different life
growing up, we will always have our own experiences and develop new ideas and
views towards our politics and government. With attention to, political socialization is
mainly shaped during our childhood, people continue to shape their political views
throughout their lives. Being that family is the most political influence through our
lives we always look to them when we are confused or questioned amongst politics.

The Rights Of The Fifth And Fourteenth Amendments
Citizen s Rights In regards to human rights, the due process clauses of the Fifth and
Fourteenth Amendments are often thought as being violated when civil asset
forfeiture takes place (Worrall, n.p.). The fact that owners of seized property have
few means to challenge said in cases in a court of law and are considered guilty until
proven innocent only make retrieval of the property that much more difficult.
Because asset forfeitureis part of the Civil Justice System, there are no provided
attorneys for defendants as their are in most criminal trials. This forces victims who
cannot afford an attorney to have slim chances of recovering their property or having
their case thrown out altogether because of the absence of a lawyer. The Eighth
Amendment is also put to the test in regard to civil asset forfeiture. A portion of the
amendment states that no excessive fines be imposed, nor cruel and unusual
punishments inflicted. During a 1996 trial, Justice John Paul Stevens rules it just that
a house, in which marijuana has been illegally processed, be seized in accordance
with the drug crime. The defendant claimed that the Eighth Amendment was being
violated, because of the excessive punishment implemented but the majority of the
court did not rule in his favor (Greenhouse, n.p.). Although the defendant was found
guilty in this instance, the trial displayed how civil asset forfeiture can lead to the
seemingly extensive confiscation of valuable personal possessions.
