Assesment of Drug Trafficking Example
Assessment of Human Trafficking
Cole Bootz
Arizona State University
Abstract
Assessing the crime of Human Trafficking over the Arizona border from Mexico there were a lot of
effective methods and non effective methods used when trying to prevent human trafficking. It was
most commonly found in my research, there were more ineffective methods than effective ones.
During the assessment I continually focus on the more positive ways to combat human trafficking
because of the significant impact the positive results have been outweighing the negative and
ineffective results. What was discovered is that the border patrol is an extremely answer to finding and
preventing human trafficking over the Mexico/Arizona border and how they are ... Show more content

It was stated by homeland security that besides the pilots, the passengers on each plane is told to stay
vigilant and informed of the basic indicators of human trafficking. (U.S. customs/ border protection
2014) Before this was put into effect human traffickers were able to hide from ground patrol and are
still able to today, but with the use of passenger planes being able to detect movement of traffickers
and report it making it easier to catch and apprehend traffickers. It has been shown to work
tremendously and continually proves to be a very good solution. Taking a new approach a campaign
has been started by victims of human trafficking and homeland security. It is called the blue campaign
and its focus is to bring light to the situation of human trafficking. It is the unified voice for the U.S.
Department of Homeland Security s (DHS) efforts to combat human trafficking. Working in
collaboration with law enforcement, government, non governmental and private organizations, also
offers training to law enforcement and others to increase detection and investigation of human
trafficking, and to protect victims and bring suspected traffickers to justice. (Blue Campaign 2016)
They offer help to victims and help them get back into normal society. The blue Campaign has been
amazingly effective and is heavily funded by homeland security, it has risen awareness to a serious

Don Pedro And Don John Foil
In fiction, a foil is a character who contrasts with another character usually the protagonist in order to
highlight particular qualities of the other character. . In Much Ado About Nothing A character named
Don John tries to ruin Claudio and Hero s wedding. In this book there is a lot of confusion and
trickery and the other character must figure out Don John s plan before the wedding is ruined. In the
play Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare, Don John and Don Pedro are foils of each
other because they have different views on life, different social status, and have different personalities.
The reason Don pedro and Don john are foils of each other is because of the polar opposites of social
status. For Don Jon says I wonder that thou, being, as thou sayest thou art, born under Saturn, goest
about to apply a moral medicine to a mortifying mischief. I cannot hide what I am: I ... Show more

Don John says There is no measure in the occasion that breeds; therefore the sadness is without limit.
(Shakespeare 13). Don john is explaining how miserable his life is and how he is sad. He sees life as
miserable and awful whilst, Don Pedro sees the world in an entirely different way.For example he says
This once, thou lovest, And I will fit thee with the remedy.I know we shall have reveling tonight.I will
assume thy part in some disguise And tell fair Hero I am Claudio, And in her bosom I ll unclasp my
heart And take her hearing prisoner with the force And strong encounter of my amorous tale .
(Shakespeare 11) In this part of the book Don Pedro is going to help Claudio get hero. Because Don
pedro is a good friend he helps Claudio this shows he is happy with his life because he is helping
others and has friends. Don John would never have done that for Conrad and Borachio. These
differences emphasizes the foil of Don John and Don

Dental Hygiene Importance
As stated by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Each year, more than 30,000 new cases of
cancer of the oral cavity and pharynx are diagnosed and over 8,000 deaths due to oral cancer occur.
(CDC). Most adults are unaware that they have periodontal disease or gum disease, this occurs
because they do not maintain routine checkups with their dentist. When we insert food and other
bacteria into our mouths, it affects our teeth and gums. We need routine dental checkups and cleanings
throughout our lives. Dental checkups usually involve x rays, cleanings, and the examination of the
mouth.
Dental health is one of the most important matters in our lives. Without proper dental tonicity, people
can obtain dental problems, which can be as severe as death. In order to maintain proper dental care
go to your dentist every six months. It is also important to change your toothbrush regularly, floss, use
fluoride, and eat healthy foods. Healthy foods may consist of fruits, vegetables, breads, meats, and
drinking water is crucial to your dental health by maintaining a moisturized mouth. A moisturized
mouth protects our hard and soft oral tissues. Children and adults should know the benefits of
maintaining proper oral hygiene while preventing poor oral asepticism.. Not only does good oral
hygiene affects our mouth it also affects our overall health.
According to the World Health Organization, Worldwide, 60 90% of school children and nearly 100%
of adults have dental cavities.

The Strengths And Weaknesses Of Alexander The Great
Many people are good or bad leaders. Alexander the great was one of the good leaders. He and his
army fought lots of wars that made events occur. Alexander s life was remarkable and admirable for
all the wars he won. Alexander had lots of enemies that tried to kill him. Alexander made many
decisions, but some of them were mistakes. Alexander led multiple wars to victory and conquered lots
of places which lead him to being a good leader because of it. Alexander must have been a very brave
man for going to war a lot. Alexander s troops was thought to be unbeatable. In 333 the troops of
Alexander and Darius went to battle because Darius lost in a battle a year before with Alexander, and
Darius wanted to win. Alexanders army was outnumbered. Even though Alexander s army was
outnumbered, he used his flair for military strategy to create formations that defeated Persians and
caused Darius to flee. Alexander declared himself the king of Persia after capturing Darius and
holding him a fugitive. (LLC, 2015) As you can see, Alexander had a strong army. He also became
leaders of lots of empires. Alexander created a city, it was the the city of Alexandria. Later on he
became the king of Alexandria, king of Asia , and king of the four quarters of the world. Alexander s

night Alexander managed to bring his troops across to the opposite bank. When Porus s mobilized
forces he found himself in a predicament. Porus s cavalry was not nearly as experienced as Alexander
s, so Porus put his 200 elephants in front. Porus s horses, foot soldiers and elephants became jumbled
up together. Alexander s army attacked and killed them. (Owen Jarus, 2013) As you can seen

Joint Tactical Radio Systems
Tactical Radio Systems: The Joint Tactical Radio Systems can be described as inexpensive radio
systems that are software programmable and offer reliable, secure, data, multi channel voice, and
video communications for mobile users in the military. The tactical radio systems provide an all
inclusive, safe, and multi channel mobile communications network ability for ground vehicles. The
deliver communications networking capabilities that enable the transfer of several megabits of data
per second on moving ground vehicles at the tactical edge. Consequently, the systems places total
power and control of the Global Information Grid into the warfighters and take the situational
awareness of network beyond the center for tactical operations (Simonsen, 2011). Due to its huge
impact, the tactical radio systems have been touted as the next generation radio for voice and data
services that will be used by the United States military in their field operations after 2010. The reason
for this consideration is the fact that the systems will work with most of the current military and
civilian radios because they incorporate integrated encryption and networking software that facilitate
the development of mobile ad hoc networks. These systems have been developed on the software
communications architecture, which is a framework that provides information to designers on how
software and hardware can function in harmony. One of the main advantages of this framework is that
it manages the

The Most Ironic Law Of All Time
The Most Ironic Law of all Time
The era of cable television reaches its final breath. Digital media begins flourishing. Online
communities and social media reign over, spoiling our fingers with content of all calibers. The internet
is causing a change so radical that legal matters are still catching up with it. As the Founding Fathers
intended, effective law should include creating law adapts to society s changes. However, change hasn
t occurred yet. The American copyright law only gets more controversial as it butts its way in. There is
now a three way skirmish between creators, large corporations and legislature for a simple reason. It is
preventing creative freedom and distribution of content online. The American copyright law is
ironically limiting much of this generation s creativity by preventing exposure, criminalizing the
wrong people and letting others take advantages of its own loopholes.
To provide some background information, the creation of American copyright law dates back to the
beginnings of the constitution of the United States. That is, the Copyright law was intended to
promote science and useful arts by giving the author the right of protection from copy theft (art. I, sec
8). That means that the published work would be protected from being replicated; it cannot be used by
anybody else without permission. That being said, the law offers a way to prevent infringement:
public domain. This is material that loses protection from copyright law. When something

Cons Of Animal Cloning
A. According to Kathleen R. Brooks and Jayson L. Lusk (2011) Animal cloning is a process in which
scientists can copy the genetic or inherited traits of an animal.
1. Clones are like identical twins only born at different times. Similar to in vitro fertilization, cloned
animals begin in a laboratory, but then are born to surrogate mothers.
a) A similar survey by the Pew Initiative on Food and Biotechnology in 2004 reported that about 65%
of consumers had heard about animal cloning.
2. Animal cloning is a problem that many of us unknowingly approve of every day. Hundreds of
innocent animals are dying and suffering due to animal cloning experiments.
Transition: Next, I will be going in depth on the risks/cons of animal cloning.
B. Can I get a show of hands of every one that has heard of the famous sheep that went by the name
Dolly?
1. Well, for all of you that haven t according to (CNN) Dolly the Sheep, was the world s first cloned
mammal. Dolly had a remarkable life spans (for a clone) of 6 years but, due to the discovery of

Affairs, 14(1), 111 119.)
Transition: So far, you have learned about how animal cloning affect the animal health, biodiversity,
and the quality of the livestock. Now let me tell you a little bit on what problem we came across when
persuading people that animal cloning is bad.
H. Human are more important than animal.
1. Animal are just like human; they have feeling like us. Plus, without animal on this earth the

Who Is Bilbo Greed
Luck is an unexplainable thing, but luck is sometimes just a part of destiny. In J.R.R. Tolkien s fantasy
novel The Hobbit, the main character, Bilbo, accompanied thirteen dwarves on an journey to retrieve
treasure stolen from them by the terrible dragon, Smaug. Over the course of the adventure, Bilbo
triumphed over many challenges that became intertwined with his destiny. Bilbo is very lucky, but his
adventures and escapes were not managed by mere luck; for he is a piece of something greater. Bilbo s
highly unlikely rescues and the acquiring of a magical ring are all a part of Bilbo s destiny. For
instance, Bilbo found a magic ring that belonged to Gollum, an antagonist in the story. The ring was
lying next to him when he woke up, and when he felt it, he put the ring in his pocket almost without
thinking; certainly it did not seem of any particular use at the moment. The possibility of ... Show

Single handedly, standing now in the middle of the hunting and spinning insects Bilbo plucked up his
courage and began a new song to distract the spiders, and it worked! Moreover, when the dwarves
were captured by an elven king, Bilbo stuffed the dwarves into barrels that ...were tubs neatly packed
with a dwarf each; but down they all went into the sea ...one after another. The escape was absolutely
perilous, but was also nevertheless triumphant. His rescues and luck had to have been destiny, for they
were all successful, and not to mention absurd. All in all, the successes of Bilbo could not have been
achieved by pure luck. The fact that Bilbo found a magical ring, and that he saved the dwarves, each
time with a plan crazier than the last, all show that Bilbo s successes are his destiny. At the end of the
book, Gandalf jokingly says to Bilbo that even he could not have predicted Bilbo s role in the
adventure, for Bilbo was only a small person in a giant

Sistine Chapel Essay
Michelangelo undertook the painting of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel during the High Renaissance.
The height of the rebirth of Classical thought in Europe. The atmosphere of the time period and even
its name, translating to rebirth , can be seen in the program of the frescoes decorating the ceiling of the
chapel. The central panels are scenes from the book of Genesis. They deal with God s creation of earth
and man, the fall of man and the story of Noah. In fictive spandrels, Michelangelo placed nude youths
among prophets and sybils, ancient Greek seers. In the Catholic tradition, sybils are thought to have
foretold the coming of Christ. The scenes of from Genesis were chosen because they represented the
birth of humanity. During the Renaissance ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the Catholic religion, Jesus is seen as the antidote to the fall of man, like how the Renaissance was
seen as the antidote to the Gothic period. The story represented the religious motivations of the patron,
Pope Julius II. As a religious leader, it would make sense that Julius II would be interested in
including tenets of the Catholic church in the frescoes of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Other
elements of the ceiling, mainly the fictive architecture, the inclusion of pagan elements and
Michaelangelo s attention to the human figure represent the humanist interests of Pope Julius II.
Humanism is based on the principles of Classical Roman and Greek philosophy. In the Renaissance,
Humanist values are often portrayed in motifs and design elements that relate to the Classical world.
For example, the inclusion of the sybils in the frescoes from the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Syblis
are female Greek seers. They are pagan, their inclusion on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel and the
mythology that Catholics created around them, that they foretold the coming of Christ, was a way to
bring together Classical religion with

Sustainable agriculture is the idea to agriculture that prioritize in fabricating food in a manner that
does not demean nature and does not threaten human or animal s health. Sustainable agriculture
provides high quality produce without diminishing resources and natural systems that productivity
rely on. A study by the University of Michigan, compared data from one hundred studies of

In rotation, planting different crops can also replenish plants nutrients, thereby reducing the use for
chemical fertilizers. Soil is the most important element for agricultural ecosystems. Healthy soil
comes with beneficial microbes and insects. Unfortunately, these are often killed off by the abuse of
pesticides. Healthy soil can produce strong crops that are less vulnerable to pests. Damaged soils often
need strong fertilizers application to produce a high amount of crops. Soil quality can be amplified in
many ways, including leaving crop remainders in the field after harvest and adding composted plant
material (Union of Concerned Scientists) Compared to industrial agriculture, companies continue to
damage and consume natural soil. While intensive plowing and monocrop (does not rotate) agriculture
systems have caused nutrient exhaustion and soil erosion. Excessive application of fertilizers and
pesticides has contaminated soils and polluted waterways (Grace Communications Foundations)
Being aware that a farm is an ecosystem rather than a factory can make a farmer more motivated to
use natural pest predators. Biological control is a component of an integrated pest strategy. It is
defined as the reduction of pest populations by natural enemies and typically involves an active human
role (College of Agriculture and Life Sciences) All insect species are also suppressed by naturally

The Unethical Practices Of Casinos
The Unethical Practices of Casinos
When walking into The Strip in Las Vegas, an instant feel of excitement rushes up. The flashy neon
lights paired with glimpses of amazing acrobatics on gigantic screens easily brings up the energy of
tourists, businessmen, and gambling addicts. You may wonder how a once stranded desert can
transform into such a paradise of skyscrapers. The answer lies in casinos.
In the early 1930s, gambling was legalized throughout the state of Nevada and casinos began to
flourish (Dunstan, 1997). The economic growth in Nevada, especially the city of Las Vegas, has
improved tremendously by the creation of casinos. Many people were employed since the operation of
casinos requires a huge amount of labor, skill, and expertise. In addition, local retail sales also
increased from casinos when gamblers visit the stores to spend their winnings on various items and
products (Garrett, 2003). As a result, many state governments began to legalize casinos in order to
boost their economies and increase employment. As of today, there are roughly 1500 casinos in the
United States and they generate almost 65 billion dollars in revenue ( Facts on U.S Casinos 2013).
However, casinos use immoral methods to achieve this incredible feat of big profit with few
government interventions. While the city of Las Vegas becomes more prosperous than before, many
citizens lose their fortunes or even lives by the immoral business practices implemented by the
casinos. Even though the

The Space Shuttle Program
This semester during the research paper, there were many challenges to overcome. Among choosing
the topic for the paper, there were entirely too many research articles to go through and find relevant
information. Writing the paper took considerable time as it needed to constantly be readjusted to let
the information flow. The points brought out in the paper do not mesh as nicely as I would have hoped
for, however the information was able to be put in a logical order to accommodate the start to finish
timeline that I was looking for. The main struggle of this paper became the research. Utilizing the
Arizona Western College library database and the JSTOR database, there were thousands of articles,
scholarly journals, peer reviews, etc. that needed to be sifted through. Among those, I needed to
highlight the three main points of the research paper to narrow those results down. I looked first to
find relevant information to the concept and origin of the space shuttle program. That yielded few
results yet gave me the background information that I was looking for. After that had been
accomplished, I was able to find information straight from NASA to identify each shuttle used and
significant points during the flights of each one. Lastly, I had to hone in on the transition from the
space shuttle program to the commercial spacecraft that are being put together to launch the next
generation of spaceflight. Once finding the information, the next task was determining the

Dividend Announcements and Share Prices
Dividend announcements and their impact on share prices can be explained by the semi strong form of
the efficient market hypothesis (EMH). Efficient market hypothesis implies that the only thing that
may impact the stock prices is new information, since all other possibly influencing parameters are
already included in the firm s stock price (Palan, 2004).The efficient market hypothesis may be
divided into three forms: the weak form, the semi strong form, and the strong form. The weak form
implies that share prices bear or reflect the past prices and trade volume information, the semi strong
form adds publicly available information to the weak form, and the strong form adds even insider
information to the efficiency approach (Harder, 2008).
Empirical evidences show that successive changes in stock prices are independent and this
independence is in line with the efficient market hypothesis, as markets promptly react to the new
information (Fama et al., 1969). In this context it may be assumed that dividend announcements
convey particular positive information about the company and provide signals about future
performance of the firm. The decision about paying dividends is made by the firm s managers and
often supported by shareholders voting. Since dividend announcements bear useful information, from
the efficient market hypothesis view point this

Elizabeth Barrett-Browning and Virginia Woolf Essay
Elizabeth Barrett Browning and Virginia Woolf
I chose to compare and contrast two women authors from different literary time periods. Elizabeth
Barrett Browning (1806 1861) as a representative of the Victorian age (1832 1901) and Virginia Woolf
(1882 1941) as the spokeswoman for the Modernist (1914 1939) mindset. Being women in historical
time periods that did not embrace the talents and gifts of women; they share many of the same issues
and themes throughout their works however, it is the age in which they wrote that shaped their
expressions of these themes. Although they lived only decades apart their worlds were remarkably
different their voices were muted or amplified according to the beat of society s drum. ... Show more

The Modernist skepticism is vivid in Woolf s portrayal of a woman, Isabella, who has not conformed

George Washington Leadership
George Washington was born in Virginia in 1732. Contrary to popular belief, he never chopped down
a cherry tree, and people should find it appalling that we need to make up a lie about one of the most
honest men in our country s history. His character was not inherited. He sought after every ounce of
his integrity from childhood through adulthood. This is why the Revolution did not make George
Washington. The Revolution revealed him. He also learned the value of hard work at a very young
age. At 16, he was already surveying land and would go on to survey in Ohio. He also loved
agriculture and the science behind it. In his library at Mount Vernon, he kept the most updated books
on agricultural techniques. He was so eager to learn about the latest agricultural advances that a
historian actually called him our nation s first scientific farmer. This experience helped him in battle

The Viola Research Paper
Over past millennia s, when music was first coming to be recognized, there were many different types
of instruments. Over many years leading up to today, types of instruments were created and perfected,
for the most part. The different instruments created over time were the woodwind instruments, brass
instruments, percussion instruments, keyboard instruments, and one of those was the percussion
instruments. The string instruments cover a multitude of instruments, there are orchestral types and
even some that are plucked. Violins, viola, cello, double bass, harps, guitars, lute, and even ukuleles

The double bass is set up behind the cello, and viola section, on the right side of the stage. Even
though the instrument is used in the string sections, it is not 100%, a member of the violin family, with
the violin, viola, and cello. The bow is shorter and thicker than the cello bow. It uses a horsehair bow,
and there are two types of bows for this instrument, the French bow, and the German bow. The French
bow is used overhand, the back of the hand facing the listener, and the German bow is used underarm,
the thumb facing upward. The French bow is similar to the cello, but shorter and thicker, and the
German bow is slimmer, with thinner horsehair. The double bass is the only modern bowed string
instrument that is tuned in fourths (like a viol), rather than fifths. The players are either standing or
sitting, on a long legged stool, in order to play the instrument. The double bass is similar with the
violin, viola, and cello in that it was created around the 15th 16th century, off of the outline of the viol.
The double bass is a hybrid in the viol family, it has violin specifications and some attributes that are
not related to the viol. This instrument is just one of the many instruments used in the string section of
an orchestra, in modern day life of

Being Godless Wastelands Are Wrong
Throughout this world we call Earth, there aren t many regions or continents that we humans call
home that don t have a desert biome, they existence on almost every continent. According to the
Conserve Energy Future or CEF, Deserts cover about twenty percent of our earth , (Rinkesh,n.d).
When the word Desert comes to mind you think of a hot, and lifeless wasteland that takes. However, I
believe the stereotypical thought of Deserts being godless wastelands are wrong. I believe it is actually
just a functioning, flushing environment just as any other.
Biomes that are classified as Deserts biomes have one thing in common, they receive less than 50 cm
or 19.7 inches of rain a year. This is barely enough to support life. This is also taking into account
some fog, dew, and possibly hail and snow. However, even with all the extra precipitation, these lands
still experience less than 50 cm of rain a year. Desert biomes are located on every major landform, in
some cases more than one. According to the CEF, [...] there are four major types of deserts you may
come across, Hot and Dry Desert, Semi arid Desert, Coastal Desert, Cold Deserts, (Rinkesh,n.d). Hot
and Dry deserts are stereotypically what you would imagine a desert being like, hot dry and almost
lifeless. These are located all over the world. The United States is home to 3 of them, the Mojave,
Chihuahua, Sonoran. Semi arid Deserts are like Hot and Dry Deserts expect they are much cooler and

Austin Fisher The Three Sides To My Coming Out Analysis
Coming Out Assignment Published by the Huffington Post, 20 year old Austin Fisher voices his
process of coming out in his article entitled The 3 Sides to my Coming Out Story . I choose to analyze
and reflect on this text for I believe it displays various situations and perceptions in response to one
coming out. The author starts by explaining how he came to terms with himself. When Fisher was
younger he idolized his brother s bravery for announcing his homosexuality to the world. This planted
a seed in Fisher s mind that would not seem to stop growing. Though deep down he knew he was gay,
he was not ready to admit it to himself or the outside world. Instead, Fisher suppressed his gay side
and reinvented himself. He got a girlfriend and views coming out as overrated, for Fisher views it as
unfair and unjust that because of his inherently wrong sexualtity he has to go through an emotional
process of explaining who he is attracted to the people he loves. ... Show more content on

His parents were less than accepting, for they viewed it as a choice that they should have been
consulted on. Though, eventually they did research on the matter and came to terms with their son s
sexuality. Fisher s peers seemed to have no opinion on the matter. Although he never publicly
announced his sexuality to his class, he told some friends and word got around and he was not treated
differently. While reading this I could not help but wonder if this was because he was in a relationship
with a girl, for hetrosexual relationships are viewed as society s norm . Would his peers have been less

Gram-Negative Staining Lab Report
Tiffany O Connor
9/2017
Gram positive and Gram negative stain
Purpose: Staining is done to differentiate between two varieties of bacteria, gram positive and gram
negative.
Theory and Background: Gram positive and Gram negative represents whether a cell wall retains the
primary dye color in the staining process after decolorization. The difference in the structure of the
cell wall determine if this happens.
In Gram positive cells the walls are much thicker than Gram negative. Gram positive cell walls consist
of several layers of peptidoglycan and groups of molecules called teichoic acids. The teichoic acids
line up perpendicular to the many layers of peptidoglycan. Gram negative cells walls have only one
layer of peptidoglycan surrounded by an outer membrane. The outer membrane has porins, or proteins
that act like pores and allow the diffusion of molecules. The outer membrane also has
lipopolysaccharide or endotoxin, This helps maintain the integrity of the wall, it is also a toxin but
only released when the cell disintegrates.

The key to the process is in the second step, this is when iodine is applied to the specimen. The iodine
causes the dye to form crystals that get trapped in the cell walls. In Gram positive cells the walls are
thicker and the layer of dye saturates the cell wall more extensively. The third step in the process is to
apply alcohol which dissolves the lipids in the outer membrane of the Gram negative cells. This
allows for the violet dye to wash out, leaving these cells colorless. Step four is to add a counterstain.
In this case it was safranin. This is done so the Gram negative cells will be seen in a different

Superhero Comparison Essay
Superhero Compare and Contrast Why are Deadpool and Deathstroke so similar? Marvel and DC have

for a superhero without copying a trait or personality from some other popular superhero character.
When observing a biographical website or article about the newly created superhero Mouth Rot , a
reader may recognize key features between Mouth Rot and other famous superheroes. Mouth Rot is
similar in appearance and ability to Cyborg from the original Teen Titans TV show. He also shares
similar backstory features to Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier in the Captain America and The

Deadshot in the Suicide Squad movie. However, Mouth Rot is not a completely plagiarized character,

Along the street, above the distressed shoppers, was a sea of decorations, of all colours,

On Monday, May 22, 2017, my mother and I visited the Museum of Ice Cream. The museum isn t

more of an interactive art museum. There are ten different galleries in the museum with gigantic ice
cream themed art. These rooms include, a gummy bear themed room, a banana split room, a chocolate
mint room, a melting popsicle room, and more. Almost every room came with samples of ice cream
and candies, it was absolutely magic! In contrast, the drive there was not quite as magical. The
museum is in downtown Los Angles where there was a lot of traffic, especially because we were
scheduled to go at 5:30 p.m. As my mom and I were driving up, I was questioning what we were
getting into because it was an industrial area, then, we pulled up to this bright pink building and that
was when I began to get excited. Once we got there, we were a little early, we went just outside the
museum where there was a little waiting area complete with ice cream themed connect four and a
huge Jenga. Once it was time for us to enter the museum, we waited in line for a worker from the
museum to scan our ticket and I was elated. Then, another worker from the museum came out from
inside and showed us through the giant glass doors into the museum. When we first entered, we were

Film Research Analysis The film Joyeux Noel is the true story of the Christmas truce of December
1914 in the trenches of World War 1. Throughout the film, we follow the German, French, and
Scottish soldiers as they learn to set aside their differences, put themselves in each others shoes, and
manage to have a cease fire on Christmas. The soldiers learn to understand each other and are able to
pull some humanity out of the horrors of the war. There are many external conflicts throughout the
story. Each of the main characters have their own conflicts that help to shape the story. The first one
would be the draft. Two of the characters affected by the draft were Anna Sorensen who was living a
carefree life singing opera with her boyfriend Nikolaus Sprink when it was announced that Germany
had declared war and Nikolaus was being drafted. Young brothers Jonathan and William are told that
they have both been drafted into the war as well. Although the two boys are excited about it at first,
they soon get a rude awakening when William is shot and killed in the line of fire. The priest Palmer is
chastised by his sanctimonious bishop for his desires to stay in the war environment with the soldiers
instead of going back home to be with his church. There are also a lot of internal conflicts that shape
the story. Jonathan refuses to take part in the truce or the cease fire due to the bitter feelings that he

Compare And Contrast Erasmus And Luther
Erasmus and Luther on The Reformation
Religion was understood as the upmost critical part of a person s life during the European Middle
Ages. Christians believed the only way to Heaven was through good works. To gain penance for their
sins, Christians would travel on pilgrimages to complete a journey to a holy site. When popes began to
abuse papal authority during this time, Christians could pay indulgences to be forgiven of their
committed sins. Papal authority had been corrupted by practices which were not Biblical through
proposing that Christians could be saved by payment, and not by accepting God s grace. Because of
these actions, attention was drawn to the foundations of the doctrine of the Church. The Church was in
need of fixing. Two reformers, Desiderius Erasmus and Martin Luther, spoke out to do this. Both
Erasmus and Luther desired to reform the church because they had similar viewpoints on the abusive
power. The way that the two decided to go about reformation was different. Erasmus was poor,
humanist, and reserved, whereas Luther was not poor, a theologian, and bold. Although Erasmus and
Luther shared a common goal for Christians to live by the scripture, similarities and differences were
present in their approach to church reform due to their past experiences, education received, and
amount of audacity.
To begin, the past experiences of Erasmus and Luther affected their approach to reformation.
Desiderius Erasmus was born in 1466 and died in 1536.

Planning For An Emergency Operation Plan
Planning is a way of preparing for an event that will happen in the future. Some plans are relatively
straightforward, and others are complex and can take months to finalize. Plans are a means to achieve
the desired result. Once the result is identified, you work backward to determine what steps will be
necessary to achieve the result or goal. This process also applies to disaster preparedness planning. To
better understand what the goals or end results should be for an emergency operation plan (EOP), it is
necessary to study and analyze post incident reports from recent events. There will always be lessons
to learn from every incident regardless of size or complexity. The military recognized this fact and
established a means of sharing post information incident with what has become to be known as an
After Action Review (AAR). This review addresses what, why, and how events occurred. Originally,
AARs were an informal debrief that compares the intended outcome versus the actual result of an
event. The primary focus of the AAR is for the participants to examine their actions and learn from
what went right and wrong during an event, which will facilitate to better decision making in future
events. Since their inception, AARs have advanced and are found in formal and informal settings.
Many post disasters documentation include some form of an AAR to document the lessons learned
from the incident. From these lessons learned, planners should review previous disaster events,

Hamlet As An Aristotelian Tragedy Essay

is typically called the quot;tragic flaw quot;, and can be applied to any characteristic that causes the
downfall the hero. Shakespeare s Hamlet, Prince of Denmark can be seen as an Aristotelian tragedy
and Hamlet as it s tragic hero. Hamlet s flaw, which in accordance with Aristotle s principles of
tragedy causes his demise, is his inability to act. This defect of Hamlet s character is displayed

of Claudius guilt, and has even declared that quot; Now could I drink hot blood and do such bitter

Claudius alone, and recognizes it as an opportunity to act, but almost immediately talks himself out of

Biography Of Franz Fanon s Black Skin White Masks
Franz Fanon is one of the many profound voices of black identity during the 1950s. His work in the
field of psychology features an unfathomed approach to critical theory, post colonial studies and
Marxism. In Black Skin White Masks, Fanon dives into the Negro psyche through understanding its
origin. In studying this, Fanon comes to the argument that the dehumanizing process of colonization
renders both Blacks and Whites crazy. In analyzing Africans, specifically, Fanon determines that the
Negro [is] enslaved by his inferiority [and] the white man enslaved by his superiority and that is why
they are both mentally unbalanced. It is this neurotic orientation through which Fanon discusses the
process through which Africans become second class French people. In discussing the Negro neurosis,
Fanon begins with this statement: The Negro becomes whiter as he renounces his blackness. The first
step of the transformation of the African into a second class French person is by learning the French
language since it is believed that to speak a language is to take on a world. (Fanon) When an African
enters France, they enter only knowing how to speak the pidgin form of French as learned back home.
This pidgin form is basically a secondary, nonstandard form of the French language, like Creole, for
example. The pidgin form, however, also labels the entering African as being lesser than other French
citizens. Therefore, the pidgin language angers the Negro because it imprisons him to

  • 7. Joint Tactical Radio Systems Tactical Radio Systems: The Joint Tactical Radio Systems can be described as inexpensive radio systems that are software programmable and offer reliable, secure, data, multi channel voice, and video communications for mobile users in the military. The tactical radio systems provide an all inclusive, safe, and multi channel mobile communications network ability for ground vehicles. The deliver communications networking capabilities that enable the transfer of several megabits of data per second on moving ground vehicles at the tactical edge. Consequently, the systems places total power and control of the Global Information Grid into the warfighters and take the situational awareness of network beyond the center for tactical operations (Simonsen, 2011). Due to its huge impact, the tactical radio systems have been touted as the next generation radio for voice and data services that will be used by the United States military in their field operations after 2010. The reason for this consideration is the fact that the systems will work with most of the current military and civilian radios because they incorporate integrated encryption and networking software that facilitate the development of mobile ad hoc networks. These systems have been developed on the software communications architecture, which is a framework that provides information to designers on how software and hardware can function in harmony. As the Founding Fathers intended, effective law should include creating law adapts to society s changes. However, change hasn t occurred yet. The American copyright law only gets more controversial as it butts its way in. There is now a three way skirmish between creators, large corporations and legislature for a simple reason. It is preventing creative freedom and distribution of content online. The American copyright law is ironically limiting much of this generation s creativity by preventing exposure, criminalizing the wrong people and letting others take advantages of its own loopholes. To provide some background information, the creation of American copyright law dates back to the beginnings of the constitution of the United States. That is, the Copyright law was intended to promote science and useful arts by giving the author the right of protection from copy theft (art. I, sec 8). That means that the published work would be protected from being replicated; it cannot be used by anybody else without permission. That being said, the law offers a way to prevent infringement: public domain. This is material that loses protection from copyright law. When something ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The flashy neon lights paired with glimpses of amazing acrobatics on gigantic screens easily brings up the energy of tourists, businessmen, and gambling addicts. You may wonder how a once stranded desert can transform into such a paradise of skyscrapers. The answer lies in casinos. In the early 1930s, gambling was legalized throughout the state of Nevada and casinos began to flourish (Dunstan, 1997). The economic growth in Nevada, especially the city of Las Vegas, has improved tremendously by the creation of casinos. Many people were employed since the operation of casinos requires a huge amount of labor, skill, and expertise. In addition, local retail sales also increased from casinos when gamblers visit the stores to spend their winnings on various items and products (Garrett, 2003). As a result, many state governments began to legalize casinos in order to boost their economies and increase employment. As of today, there are roughly 1500 casinos in the United States and they generate almost 65 billion dollars in revenue ( Facts on U.S Casinos 2013). The main struggle of this paper became the research. Utilizing the Arizona Western College library database and the JSTOR database, there were thousands of articles, scholarly journals, peer reviews, etc. that needed to be sifted through. Among those, I needed to highlight the three main points of the research paper to narrow those results down. Dividend Announcements and Share Prices Dividend announcements and their impact on share prices can be explained by the semi strong form of the efficient market hypothesis (EMH). Efficient market hypothesis implies that the only thing that may impact the stock prices is new information, since all other possibly influencing parameters are already included in the firm s stock price (Palan, 2004).The efficient market hypothesis may be divided into three forms: the weak form, the semi strong form, and the strong form. The weak form implies that share prices bear or reflect the past prices and trade volume information, the semi strong form adds publicly available information to the weak form, and the strong form adds even insider information to the efficiency approach (Harder, 2008). Empirical evidences show that successive changes in stock prices are independent and this independence is in line with the efficient market hypothesis, as markets promptly react to the new information (Fama et al., 1969). In this context it may be assumed that dividend announcements convey particular positive information about the company and provide signals about future performance of the firm. The decision about paying dividends is made by the firm s managers and often supported by shareholders voting. Contrary to popular belief, he never chopped down a cherry tree, and people should find it appalling that we need to make up a lie about one of the most honest men in our country s history. His character was not inherited. He sought after every ounce of his integrity from childhood through adulthood. This is why the Revolution did not make George Washington. The Revolution revealed him. He also learned the value of hard work at a very young age. At 16, he was already surveying land and would go on to survey in Ohio. He also loved agriculture and the science behind it. In his library at Mount Vernon, he kept the most updated books on agricultural techniques. He was so eager to learn about the latest agricultural advances that a historian actually called him our nation s first scientific farmer. This experience helped him in battle when it was necessary for him to try methods that were largely unconventional at the time. In 1754, Washington became a Lieutenant colonel in the British military. It was during this time that he fought against the Indians and the French. These long years of battle also saw his life spared multiple times, which led some of his followers to believe that he could not be killed. However, Washington was quick to assure them that this was not the case. Shortly after these battles, Washington returned home where he married a widow named Martha Curtis. Gram-Negative Staining Lab Report Tiffany O Connor 9/2017 Gram positive and Gram negative stain Purpose: Staining is done to differentiate between two varieties of bacteria, gram positive and gram negative. Theory and Background: Gram positive and Gram negative represents whether a cell wall retains the primary dye color in the staining process after decolorization. The difference in the structure of the cell wall determine if this happens. In Gram positive cells the walls are much thicker than Gram negative. Gram positive cell walls consist of several layers of peptidoglycan and groups of molecules called teichoic acids. The teichoic acids line up perpendicular to the many layers of peptidoglycan. Gram negative cells walls have only one layer of peptidoglycan surrounded by an outer membrane. The outer membrane has porins, or proteins that act like pores and allow the diffusion of molecules. The outer membrane also has lipopolysaccharide or endotoxin, This helps maintain the integrity of the wall, it is also a toxin but only released when the cell disintegrates. It seems a writer can not create an original idea for a superhero without copying a trait or personality from some other popular superhero character. Mouth Rot is similar in appearance and ability to Cyborg from the original Teen Titans TV show. He also shares similar backstory features to Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier in the Captain America and The Avengers movies. Mouth Rot s main plot line, personality, and some of his powers are similar to Deadshot in the Suicide Squad movie. Christmas is the highlight for many people, especially little childen, from as tall as your ankle to as tall as your knee. Along the street, above the distressed shoppers, was a sea of decorations, of all colours, simultaneously changing, on and off, to the rhythm of my feet, whilst ambling through the streets of Oxford. The Christmas lights were shaped in all kinds of shape you could possibly imagine and they were so bright that the twinkle in the lights glistened on the icing floor as though it was a star. It also shimmered on the shoes, which men were wearing. The combination of the snow and the Christmas lights makes me feel as though I was entering another world full of amusement, ecstasy and anticipation as Christmas draws in. The atmosphere is pleasant, though everybody seems to be distressed and having problems on their minds, as though they were carrying the weight of the whole, entire world on the shoulders. • 27. Descriptive Essay About Ice Cream On Monday, May 22, 2017, my mother and I visited the Museum of Ice Cream. The museum isn t your typical museum, there wasn t much about the history of ice cream or why it was made, it was more of an interactive art museum. There are ten different galleries in the museum with gigantic ice cream themed art. These rooms include, a gummy bear themed room, a banana split room, a chocolate mint room, a melting popsicle room, and more. Almost every room came with samples of ice cream and candies, it was absolutely magic! In contrast, the drive there was not quite as magical. The museum is in downtown Los Angles where there was a lot of traffic, especially because we were scheduled to go at 5:30 p.m. As my mom and I were driving up, I was questioning what we were getting into because it was an industrial area, then, we pulled up to this bright pink building and that was when I began to get excited. Once we got there, we were a little early, we went just outside the museum where there was a little waiting area complete with ice cream themed connect four and a huge Jenga. Once it was time for us to enter the museum, we waited in line for a worker from the museum to scan our ticket and I was elated. Then, another worker from the museum came out from inside and showed us through the giant glass doors into the museum. When we first entered, we were told to reach inside an ice cream cart and grab a handful of chocolate. We were then led to a room covered in pink walls complete with ... • 30. Compare And Contrast Erasmus And Luther Erasmus and Luther on The Reformation Religion was understood as the upmost critical part of a person s life during the European Middle Ages. Christians believed the only way to Heaven was through good works. To gain penance for their sins, Christians would travel on pilgrimages to complete a journey to a holy site. When popes began to abuse papal authority during this time, Christians could pay indulgences to be forgiven of their committed sins. Papal authority had been corrupted by practices which were not Biblical through proposing that Christians could be saved by payment, and not by accepting God s grace. Because of these actions, attention was drawn to the foundations of the doctrine of the Church. The Church was in need of fixing. Two reformers, Desiderius Erasmus and Martin Luther, spoke out to do this. Both Erasmus and Luther desired to reform the church because they had similar viewpoints on the abusive power. The way that the two decided to go about reformation was different. Erasmus was poor, humanist, and reserved, whereas Luther was not poor, a theologian, and bold. Although Erasmus and Luther shared a common goal for Christians to live by the scripture, similarities and differences were present in their approach to church reform due to their past experiences, education received, and amount of audacity. To begin, the past experiences of Erasmus and Luther affected their approach to reformation. Desiderius Erasmus was born in 1466 and died in 1536. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

His work in the field of psychology features an unfathomed approach to critical theory, post colonial studies and Marxism. In Black Skin White Masks, Fanon dives into the Negro psyche through understanding its origin. In studying this, Fanon comes to the argument that the dehumanizing process of colonization renders both Blacks and Whites crazy. In analyzing Africans, specifically, Fanon determines that the Negro [is] enslaved by his inferiority [and] the white man enslaved by his superiority and that is why they are both mentally unbalanced. It is this neurotic orientation through which Fanon discusses the process through which Africans become second class French people. In discussing the Negro neurosis, Fanon begins with this statement: The Negro becomes whiter as he renounces his blackness. The first step of the transformation of the African into a second class French person is by learning the French language since it is believed that to speak a language is to take on a world.
