An essay is a piece of writing that consists of multiple paragraphs on a single topic. It is used to test a person's written expression abilities. When writing an essay, a writer should think about the topic, take notes on relevant facts and ideas, arrange them in a presentable manner to create an outline, write the essay while following the outline and word limit, and revise it before submitting. An essay has an introduction, body, and conclusion. The introduction introduces the topic and hooks the reader. The body makes up most of the essay's length and discusses the topic. The conclusion wraps up the discussion in a few short, interesting sentences that conclude the essay naturally.
