Copyright Laws And Its Impact On Intellectual Property...
Introduction Copyright laws were established to provide authors with rights over their creations
and to prevent unauthorized use and distribution of these creations by others. Although the law
grants ownership to one party, usually the author of the work, there is a doctrine for granting
ownership of work made for hire to educational institutions (Crews, 2006). This doctrine supports
that if the employee developed the work under the parameters of their scope of employment or
through the use of resources provided by the employer, then the employer owns the rights to the
work (Crews, 2006). In an effort to clarify the mandates of copyrightlaw and improve understanding
of intellectual propertyownership, educational institutions have developed their own policies
addressing intellectual propertyownership. The policies vary by institution, but share the same
purpose of providing guidelines and conditions for ownership of creations by the educational
institution s faculty. The University of Maryland in College Park (UMCP) promotes the
development of educational materials by faculty to provide and deliver the best education to its
students. In an effort to address the law of copyright and clarify intellectual property ownership,
as well as patents and trademarks, UMCP has developed an extensive intellectual property policy.
This paper will review the policy in reference to the law as it applies to the development of works
by faculty for use in distance education programs.

Tap Dance History
After hundreds of years of evolution and development, tap dancing has become a truly authentic
American artform. However, no two people can agree on exactly how or where the discipline
began. Emmy award winning tapper Jason Samuel Smith still holds an enormous amount of respect
for the history of his artform. Tap culture is all about celebrating the past and accumulating its
vocabulary over time, he says. If we don t maintain our history, we lose what is valuable about tap.
Despite the questionable and often debated origin of tap, the discipline stems directly from African
roots due to articulate rhythmic and stylistic patterns of African dance, techniques consisting of
gliding, shuffling and dragging steps, and the introduction of... Show more content on

Drummers collaborated with the dancers in such a way that they were able to communicate with
each other through different rhythms and changes in pitch and tone. African dances were extremely
sophisticated, both stylistically and rhythmically. The rhythmical elements of the dances conveyed
conventional rhythms found in various nature patterns. More often than not, these dances were
very repetitive, much like the cycles of life(Knowles). It was this conversational exchange between
drums and feet, drummers and dancers, that evolved into tap. Time step, a basic tap step, was based
on asymmetrical balance, an important aspect to African expression. It includes six measures of
repetitive rhythmic phrasing, along with two measures of rhythm breaks. Often times, the swaying
motion used tended to cause the accented steps to fall on the second and fourth beats of a sequence.
Through their steady patterns of assimilation, imitation, and transformation, tap was created(Source
17).
A common theme to their dances was society s affinity with the Earth. The most common step in
African dancing, which would later become the most basic step in tap dancing, was an example of
this symbiotic relationship. In order to stay connected with the power of the Earth, dancers would
keep their feet close to the dirt. Flatfootedness created steps that consisted of dragging, gliding, and
shuffling step(Knowles). Today s tap clearly resembles African dance because it often utilizes
drags, slides, and

Why The US Won The Battle Of Midway
The United States had to face two enemies at one time. The U.S.A had to push the Nazis
back into the town of holland. They had to stop them from taking over the
Philippines and Hawaii. First there
was the war of Midway. The Japanese tried to take destroy the three aircraft
battleships. The Japanese attacked the Midway ship two times but they thought they
attacked two different ships so they took a break. They only attacked one battleship
so they were resting the other two battle ships got ready to attack the Japanese
battleship and the U.S. destroyed the Japanese battleship. After the Nazis took over
Holland, the U.S. went and trapped the Nazis.

many Jews as humanly possible but sometimes you can t save everyone

Philippine troops fought a hopeless battle against invading Japanese troops between December
1941 and May 1942, any hope of reinforcement by the greatly weakened United States Pacific
Fleet was negated by the Japanese Navy s control of the vast stretch of water between
Hawaii and the Philippines.
To appreciate the major contribution by General Douglas
MacArthur to the American military disaster in the Philippines, see Battle of the
Philippines. The actions called for were an invasion of North Africa in order to stop Nazi
activity in that region, the halting of the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union, an invasion of
western Europe to open a second front against the Nazis, and a move to save China

The Role Of Client And The Right Treatment Plan
The following two prominent research literatures became the foundation for Client directed

In order to obtain a psychometric measure of therapeutic alliance the session rating scale is
utilized giving real time feedback measuring a client s perception, progress and the strength of
the therapeutic alliance, the session rating scales consists of two scales the Outcome Rating Scale

indicating the client s individual, interpersonal relationship, and social functioning (Miller, 2012)
giving the therapist an insight to the client s perception of their world (Duncan et al. 2004). These
results will determine the client s uniqueness and therapy needs (Duncan et al. 2004). Miller (2012)

Myrtle Wilson as the Wasteland Figure in the Great Gatsby
30 November 2007 Myrtle and Fitzgerald s Wasteland Myrtle Wilson is Fitzgerald s vessel for
illustrating the modern wasteland. His conception of the wasteland as an unavoidable, vulgar part
of the 1920s society is parallel to his characterization of Myrtle as an unavoidable, vulgar
character that refuses to be ignored. He uses her to point out what he sees as the faults of modern
society. Myrtle is materialistic, superficial, and stuck living in the physical wasteland referred to as
the valley of ashes. Fitzgerald uses her to portray the social wasteland, particulaly the growing
materialism and superficiality of modern society. He makes a huge statement about the repression
of the impoverished by the upper class in the modern wasteland... Show more content on

Fitzgerald is showing the shallowness, absurdity, and stupidity of the new money American
consumer, whom he contrasts to old money Tom Buchanan, who is not duped by the puppy
vendor like ignorant Myrtle. Fitzgerald also uses Myrtle to show the lack of compassion and
irresponsibility of new money Americans through Myrtle and the puppy. The puppy is referred
to as a purchase (28), which Myrtle briefly pays attention to but quickly forgets amongst the
smoking and drinking, leaving the puppy with blind eyes through the smoke, and from time to
time groaning faintly (37), one of Fitzgerald s most haunting and vivid images in the text. She
haughtily talks about imaginary hired help that is supposed to take care of her puppy, which is
Fitzgerald s criticism of new money parenting and irresponsibility in modern society. Her self
centeredness catches up to her when George discovers the expensive puppy leash before her
death. Next, Fitzgerald utilizes Myrtle s superficiality to exhibit another facet of the wasteland in
modern society. Despite being a member of the lower class, Myrtle becomes haughty and snobby
when she is in the city. Her personality changes when she changes her clothes to an elaborate
afternoon dress of cream colored chiffonВ… her laughter, her gestures, her assertions became more
violently affected moment by moment (30 31). She comes across as an over the top,

In House Of Sand And Fog By Andre Dubus Iii, Amir Behrani
In House of Sand and Fog by Andre Dubus III, Amir Behrani struggles with self identity after
moving from Iran to America for asylum. In addition to fleeing Iran due to the political climate
and his family s involvement with the Shah, Behrani is presented to the reader as the
quintessential immigrant and refugee. He and his family move to San Francisco, California in
order to start a new life. With very little money compared to what they were accustomed to,
Behrani and his family reside in a relatively wealthy area. From Behrani s viewpoint, he is reduced
to a highway worker, as he is no longer involved with the prestigious powers within government.

This is a very poignant thing for a man like Behrani to wish for due to the status he once had and
the status that he perceives he possesses within America. Throughout the novel, the reader
encounters Behrani s reminiscent nature, regarding his old life of luxury and status,
continuously. Although Behrani would like to portray that he can appear as a man that would
live a life for the living of it, he is very far from it. Amir belittles the blue collar work he has
begun to slow his family spending and keep his family happy. These jobs include working in a
tomato cannery, an auto wash, a furniture warehouse, a parking lot, two gasoline stations ...
highway department and this convenience store (Dubus 48). Behrani looked down on these blue
collar positions and did not feel proud of the jobs he had taken. He believed that there was no
dignity attached to these jobs, as they were jobs for people that were lesser (or younger) than
him. He even professes that God would help him return to the dignity that he once had, dignity that
he believed he would never gain back. In addition to this belittlement, he also continuously
apologizes to his family for their living conditions, even though they are by far above standard. He
is consistently self conscious regarding his appearance and what others view of his family and his
home. He assumes

Gametogenesis Lab Report
Gametogenesis Lab Report
1.Introduction
Gametogenesis refers to the production of haploid sex cells within an organism. The haploid sex
cells are composed of half of the genetic material of that from the germ line of the parents. The
process of gametogenesis could not take place without two specific organs, the ovary and the
testis. These two organs, the gonads, are composed of germ cells where meiosis occurs. Meiosis is
the method that makes the germ cells haploid. In both males and females, this phenomenon can be
observed. In males, the genetic material is passed to offspring through a process known as
spermatogenesis, and in females genetic material is passed to offspring through the process of
oogenesis. However, these two processes, although similar in ... Show more content on

Concept Of Tuition Fees
The Nobody State University when increasing the tuition fee should do this while ensuring that the
university maintains healthy enrolment of students. The increase in tuition fee will not necessarily
lead to increase in revenue. Theoretically, we can use the price elasticity concept. The concept
explains the relationship between the responsiveness of demand towards changes in price (Cini
2015). Higher tuition fees will mean that newer students will prefer universities that are much
cheaper. NSU goal to raise more revenue will not be achieved. The already existing students,
however, will have no choice but to pay the new tuition fees. Getting higher educationis every

Paying in installments will lessen the effect the student will feel when the fees are increased. The
increase in revenue will make the students more resistant to any other change that the university
might want to add.
The amount of revenue will remain the same if the cost of collecting that revenue will increase.
Admissions of students cost a lot of money. The difference will just be the same, and the
university will not have done any justice to itself or the students. Fewer students to be enrolled will
mean that the staff is underworked. The economy is another condition that will decide whether
revenue will increase once the fee is increased. Improved economy means that students can afford
the state university fees. Regardless of the increased fee, more students will want to enroll (Cini
2015). What the university should do to expand revenue is through marketing. The university
should have a good marketing plan to attract more students to the school. Nobody State University
can for example come up with a program that students apply for free school meals for those who
academically perform better. Search kind of marketing strategy will attract more students to enroll.
This way revenue will be expanded.
Another way to expand revenue is through resourceful staffing. The university can look at how
efficiency can be achieved in the staffing budget. The university should have guidance on
organizing staff structure which is

He believed in hard work and a tough mental state of mind from his men. He expected them to be
physically fit and be able to handle themselves through the most rigorous conditions. Patton got
his first tastes of action in pursuit of Mexico s legendary Pancho Villa in 1916 with the U.S.
Cavalry. He was later transferred to the new Armored branch as the first U.S. Commander of
Armor. During World War I, Patton was struck by machine gun fire and was seriously wounded,
narrowly escaping a possible death. (1). After being wounded, Patton stayed in the armed forces
and continued to head the Armored division during the time of peace. Soon enough Patton s
expertise and services would be requested once again in a mere twenty years. On September 1,
1939, a Nazi leader named Adolph Hitler ordered his German troops to invade and take over
Poland. It was this day that marked the beginning of the tumultuous World War II. The United
States didn t declare any involvement in this European campaign until December 15, 1941, more
than two years later. This war was fought in Europe, against Germany, to oppose Germany s rapid
march toward a militaristic society. An opposition standing in the Nazi s way was none other than
the most feared general in any army, George Patton.Patton s first great contributions to the war
effort started on November 7, 1942, when he led his armored units into Morocco and removed the
German presence.

Meeting A Hero
Meeting a Hero
It was hot in Oklahoma City. The concert had been terrific. Steven and his dad, Rudy, would never
forget being in the same room as one of the greatest blues musicians of all time. They had heard
rumours that, if you waited around the artist s entrance long enough after a show, Isaac Smith
would eventually allow you to come in and meet him. Steven and Rudy were in no hurry. So, they
decided to wait.
Steven passed the time by checking to make sure his camera was in working order. Rudy wanted an
opportunity to have his picture taken with his hero; Steven wanted to take advantage of the
opportunity. An hour and a half passed. Just when Steven was about to suggest they give up, the
artist s entrance door opened. A large man in a black suit announced, Mr. Smith will see you now.
The corridor to the dressing room was barely wide enough to accommodate one person standing in
the middle. The security guard instructed the group to form a single file line against one wall.
We can only let in two at a time. The room is small, he said. Steven s heart sank. He was fourth in
line and Dad was fifth. They wouldn t be able to get in at the same time and Dad wouldn t get his
photo. That s when the man standing third in line said, He s going to see all of us. Take my spot
and then you and your dad can go in together. It was a huge relief.
A couple of minutes went by and the security guard ushered Steven and Rudy into the dressing
room. In front of their eyes was Isaac Smith

Crime And Punishment Conservatism
The novel Crime and Punishment was written during a time when science based ideas about
civilization and evolution were beginning to replace religious or mystical ideas. Many people,
under the guise of being intellectuals, subscribed to these theories and promoted them because the
theories made them seem superior to their fellow men. Author Fyodor Dostoevsky incorporated
many of these theories into the perspectives of the characters in his novel, suggesting that despite
their presentation as new or revolutionary, they were simply re workings of older ideas re fitted
for the modern era. Dostoevsky uses Raskolnikov s idea about extraordinary people and
Lebezyatnikov s idea about communes to criticize Social Darwinismand aspects of Radicalism
respectively. By linking the theories with his characters, he also criticizes the type of people who
subscribed to these theories.
Dostoevsky outlines two conflicting theories about crime and humanity that emerged during Russia
s modernization period in the novel. One view, presented by Razumikhin, explains that the
individual is a victim of his environment and the other, held by Raskolnikov, states instead that the
individual is a product of his environment. Raskolnikov s view actually reinforces pre
modernization ideas about a social hierarchy with nobility on top. Similar to the pre modern idea

Julius Caesar s History And Contributions Of The Roman Empire
2. Octavian is Julius Caesar s great nephew but was named his adopted son in Julius Caesar will.
Octavian was able to gain power due to being named in Julius Caesar s will as his son. He was
originally the son of Julius Caesar s sister. His father Gaius Octavius was the first person in the
family that became a senator but passed away when Octavian was four years old. Octavius was
able to balance the empire, made the army smaller sized, and formed a Roman navy. He also
held interest in temple buildings which in turned he took on the repair all of the 82 temples and
built more along with a new forum. He also tried to implement morals with laws that would
govern marriage and family to rule out promiscuity. He very well also believed and supported
literature. The Augustus of Prim Porta is important because it is one of the best preserved portraits
that is on display for all people. It shows the type ruler he created with his government with his
stance and appearance. Octavian was very important to Roman history and culture due to all the
positive change and building of the Roman empire. Aside from the reconstruction of temples and
creating military forces he brought back peace to the people with the endings of civil wars. The

Character Comparison: Macbeth Throne of Blood
In the tragic play by Shakespeare, The Tragedy of Macbeth Macbeth, and the Japanese film,
Throne of Blood, many characters are direct parallels of each other. There are many similarities and
yet, key differences within each of the characters. Macbeth and Washizu share many of the same
character traits, as do their wives, Lady Macbeth and Asaji, respectively. We can also see these
similarities between Banquo and Miki and the three witches and the Forest Spirit. Macbeth and
Washizu are subject to their ambition and fear as they ascend to kingship, while Lady Macbeth

They both have the will to manipulate and command the actions of their husbands and show
tremendous resolve to gain wealth and status. However, there are some key differences between
Lady Macbeth and Asaji. Lady Macbeth s mental health takes longer to decline into almost
complete insanity. We see Lady Macbeth struggling with her position after becoming Queen.
She is stressed about keeping the throne secure and is not as happy as she thought she might be.
It takes a while but eventually she cracks and has somewhat of a mental breakdown. Asaji on the
other hand keeps her composure throughout most of the film. She is obviously concerned about
succeeding in her endeavors but she was able to keep her focus unlike Lady Macbeth. It is only

How Did Rome Use Aqueducts
Ian Malapira Latin Bell 3 Aqueduct Project
Rome had several sources of water within the wall, but the groundwater was not pleasant and
water from the Tiber river was unsafe for drinking. The city s major need for water had probably
long exceeded its local supplies when the Aqua Appia, Romes first aqueduct which was built in
312 B.C., was commissioned by the censor Appius Claudius Caecus. Many more aqueducts were
built as the cities demanded more water. The Aqua Tepula was created in 127 B.C. and the Aqua
Julia in 33 B.C.
The emperor Caligula added or began two aqueducts which were completed by his successor
Claudius; the 38 mile long Aqua Claudia, which gave quality water but had failed several times;
and the Anio Novus, highest of

Pop, Country, Rap, Or Classical Music
Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination,
and charm and gaiety to life and to everything. ~Plato. Plato was one of the more highly regarded
philosophers of his time. H e made some fantastic discoveried throughout his life, but this might be
one of the more relevant and profound to today s society. Music can be described in so many ways.
Even more than in Platos time because he probably wasn t busting rhymes in a rap battle every

The idea of rap is all about music that is not understandable and confusing. The ultimate sound of
rap resounds as garbled and electronic. The idea of rap revolves around lack of musical talent and
relying on a computer. Although this is not everyone s position, it is true, but Pop has a different
sound. The sound of pop still hints at the electronic nature of rap, but it differs in the fact that it is
understandable. It still lacks the true instrumental sound that country and classical entertain. The
pop usually has strong vocals and good harmony, but it retains the computerized sound that is
similar to rap. Moving on, Classical has a simple, yet complex sound. It has lost all of the complex
electronic sound that rap and pop retain. This genre falls short in the category of understanding.
Especially when teachers play it too loudly during a test. Although it usually has the smoothest
sound, the vocals can sometimes be too long and confusing. Finally, Country has the best sound out
of these four type of music. The genre of Country music has a complex mix of instruments without
the complex computerization. It also is very understandable and the sound is comforting in a

The Health Care Provider Ordered An Hiv Test Based On The...
The health care provider ordered an HIV test based on the patient s narrative and his positive TB
status. Tuberculosis infection is frequently an initial indication of HIV infection. Therefore, it is
routine to test patients with TB for HIV. Also, the patient complains of being run down and sick all
of the time, which could be a sign that his immune system is impaired.
The presence of any other opportunistic infections or malignancies may also be indicative of HIV.
Opportunistic infections occur when typically harmless microorganisms are able to cause disease
in individuals who are immunocompromised. Common opportunistic infections in HIV positive
patients include: Pneumocystis jiroveci pneumonia, candidiasis, toxoplasmosis, diarrhea caused by
Cryptosporidium parvum, progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) caused by the JC
virus, and many others. Kaposi sarcoma, an opportunistic malignancy, is a major indicator of HIV
infection. This cancer occurs only in individuals who are severely immunocompromised and
manifests as lesions on the skin and mucous membranes.
Mr. A s statement reflects the need for further education about HIV transmission. The nurse should
inform Mr. A that HIV is primarily spread through unprotected sexual intercourse and by sharing
contaminated needles for intravenous drug use. Individuals engaging in risky sexual behaviors (e.g.
unprotected anal intercourse) are at highest risk for contracting HIV, regardless of sexual
orientation. The nurse

Power Of Rightwing Groups
With Donald Trump s election into the White House, the rightwing of American politics gained
power like they ve never had before. As their power progresses, it is incredibly important that both
Democrats and Moderate Republicans devise a strategy to hinder the spread of these ideas and
limit their power. The most important ways in which these individuals should resist the growing
influence of these rightwing groups include: focusing less on social issues and more on economic
policy, calling out rightwing anti race rhetoric and dog whistle politics, and by staying away from
becoming an extremist group themselves. It is only through these methods that we can oppose
rightwing politics and take the power away from the groups that currently have... Show more

Not only will this process take legitimacy away from the Democrats in the long run, but it will
also only cause the rightwing to go further to the right. The only way to successfully oppose the
rightwing movement is to remain as logical and level headed as is possible. This is
demonstrated in Claire Conner s experiences with the John Birch Society. While the society was
incredibly powerful at one time, they eventually began to collapse once they went after
prominent leaders. Many soon saw them as radical and un logical. As we let the rightwing
movements spiral more and more out of control, anyone who is even close to moderate will leave
them, thus weakening their power. Providing those whose opinions begin to dissent from this
group an alternative is vital to opposing them. Another reason why it is so important to shy away
from radical behavior and ideas is that it will make other liberal arguments weaker. It will be near
impossible to convince rightwing supporters that their leaders are using coded racial appeals when
they have already written us off. One argument that has pushed liberals further away from logically
discussion and further toward extremist emotional appeals is the, Trump is just like Hitler saying.

Springfield, Illinois, And The Springfield
Although Springfield, Illinois was home to Abraham Lincoln, not everyone shared his views.
Many people were racist and prejudice toward the colored community. Not all of people s thoughts
are purely their own, some are given from peers, family, or the media. Newspaper media in
Springfield, Illinois during 1908 had such a large influence on the events and thoughts of the
people, that they essentially caused the Springfield raceriot.
The Newspapers
In Springfield 1908, there were two major newspapers, The Illinois State Journal and The
Springfield Record. The Springfield Record and The Illinois State Journal were competitors
during Abraham Lincoln s presidential campaign. During 1908, both published racially intense
stories and highlight crime in black neighborhoods. Most of the white community who read
newspapers with racially intense stories were influenced by the words. Not everyone in
Springfield supported Lincoln in Springfield during the Civil War and his run for President. One
major newspaper during the Civil War and during the Springfield riots was The Springfield
Journal. The Journal kept citizens up to date on Lincoln s campaign. Every decision Lincoln made
during his campaign was published in The Journal. During the war and campaign, The Journal

Journal has to make daily record of its confidence in the president elect. Is it to create or dispel

Quantum Mechanics and Islam Essay
Introduction
Quantum mechanics or also known as quantum physics is a field of science which studies the
behaviour of particles at sub atomic level. This theory tells us that short lived pairs of particles and
their antiparticles are constantly being created and destroyed in an apparently empty space.
In quantum mechanics the weird behaviour of electrons are not accurately explained and until now
not a single theory is acceptable by the whole scientific community to postulate the phenomena. The
electrons become linked, or entangled, such that changing one invariably affects the other, no
matter how far apart they are; something Einstein called spooky action at a distance . Quantum
stuff can also exist in several places at once, or spin ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The inadequacy and weaknesses of modern science is thus manifested as a result of its ignorance
on other sources of scientific knowledge such as metaphysical and spiritual knowledge which is
proven successful by previous Muslim scientists during the period of medieval Islam.
In Islamic science, cosmology plays an important role as a link between pure metaphysics and the
particular sciences and acts as a source of conceptual framework for the unity of science and
spiritual knowledge. There are a number of cosmological principles in Islamic science which are
formulated based on the relevant Qur anic verses, prophetic traditions and intuitive knowledge of
famous traditional Muslim scholars. In this study, the principles and ideas of quantum mechanics
are presented in a simplified manner for easy understanding of the subject matter, followed by the
application of the principles in Islamic science wherein the relevant issues are discussed
accordingly.
A Brief History of Quantum Mechanics
Quantum theory began to take shape in the early 20th century, when classical ideas failed to
explain some observations. Previous theories allowed atoms to vibrate at any frequency, leading to
incorrect predictions that they could radiate infinite amounts of energy; a problem known as the
ultraviolet catastrophe. Max Planck in 1900 solved this problem by assuming the vibrations of
atoms at specific or

Jocasta s (Oedipus mother) attempts to expel her cursed son and Oedipus avoiding of who he
thought were his biological parents only fed into Apollo s scheme. It was an important factor
that the audience was previously aware of this story and its outcome. As the jovial Oedipus
preaches about discovering the cause of the plague and finding truth, the audience is aware that
he is speaking out of ignorance and that his optimistic attitude would be short lived. This is
comparable to certain entertainment pieces of the modern day. The Titanic also depicted a story
that its audience knew the result of. Most people were aware of the fate of the Titanic before

manner. Oedipus realizes in the climax of the play that he has in fact failed to escape the prophecy
of Apollo and that he has become the incestuous murderer that he had so carefully tried to avoid

Knowing many Americans were lost in the wake of this disaster, Reagan sympathizes by using
pathos in multiple forms. One example is where Reagan says, But we feel the loss, and we re
thinking about you so very much (Reagan 3). His use of the word we helps the audience unite
and mourn together as a country. When he states, we feel the loss (Reagan 3), it makes those
who feel alone feel comforted and feel like they are included. Reagan later says, We will never
forget them, nor the last time we saw them (Reagan 8). This directly puts thoughts of the crew
into the minds of the audience in a positive and remembering fashion. Reagan leaves the emotions
of the audience in a mournful but stable state by putting thoughts of the crew in their minds.
Reagan is also able to connect with the audience by adding specific details, making him seem
more authentic. Right from the start Reagan uses ethos when he says, Nancy and I are pained to
the core by the tragedy of the Shuttle Challenger (Reagan 1). Using his wife s first name makes it
seem more authentic by personalizing the situation to his own life. He is showing that the
Challenger Disaster affects him on a personal level, making whatever he says pertaining to the
disaster more credible. Later, he goes on to explain the situation to the school children and says, I

Critique Of Just Mercy Critique
Gurvir BhullarMs. Paulsen English 1109 344 Nov 2017 Just Mercy Introduction Critique There
are always two sides to an argument, but different people have different opinions on which side
is right and wrong; as a result, we can compare a debate or argument as of a coin, due to the fact
that it has two sides. When it comes to the topic of judicial system in America, most of us will
readily agree that it needs to be reformed. Where this agreement usually ends, however, is on the
question of who will step forward and make changes to the court system. Whereas some are
convinced that no one is going to do anything about it, others maintain that the government will be
the savior by making the changes. In the introduction of Just Mercy: A Story of Justice And
Redemption, by Bryan Stevenson an American lawyer, social justice activist, founder and
executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative, and a clinical professor at New York University
School of Law Stevenson emphasizes that people are not being treated fairly in the judicial system
of America. The book was written to give readers a close up look on mass incarceration and
extreme punishment given in America. Convincing the readers is not easy, except if the author uses
strategic techniques such as ethos, pathos, and logos. It is even more tough if the topic is sensitive
and debatable as this one. Stevenson used these three techniques in a variety of different ways to
convince the readers. The author starts the

Many individuals grow up dreaming of becoming a collegiate or professional athlete. However,
no one achieves either level by chance. It takes talent, a desire to achieve greatness, and a
willingness to compete against other talented individuals to prove oneself in the world of sports.
The growth of eSports has created a new way in which to become a collegiate or professional
athlete. The term athlete, however, is filled with stereotypes. Many deem athletes as those trained
or skilled in sports, games, or exercises requiring strength, flexibility, and stamina. While video
gamers may not be as physically strong, they are highly skilled in a game, can be flexible, and

Types Of Cell Division First Go Through Interphase Essay
Cell division
Both types of cell division first go through interphase which has three stages. The cell grows in
the G1 stage. It copies all of its chromosomes during the S phase, the two copies of the
chromosomes are held together by the centromere resulting in an X shape. The last stage is
preparing for division which is called G2 phase. After this is starts to divide in either mitosis or
meiosis.
Mitosis the typical process of nuclear division in eukaryotic cell. ... results in two identical daughter
nuclei of identical genetic constitution to the parent cell. (Henderson s dictionary of biology, 2008)
Mitosis happens in five steps and results in two daughter cells. This process is used in most cells
apart from in the production of gambits. The five stages are prophase, prometaphase, metaphase,
anaphase, and telophase. However, these stages do overlap a bit.
Prophase is the first stage and this tends to occur before any obvious chromosome movement
happens. A lot does happen but it is just hard to see. The chromosomes condense into chromatids by
folding up. 2 chromatids joined by a centromere is a chromosome. Two proteins help in sorting and
packing the chromatids up during prophase these are topoisomerase ll (part of nuclear scaffolding
and uses an ATP for DNA decatenation) and condensin (involved in stabilizing loop formation in
chromatin). During this stage the microtubule network is reorganized, by the cytosolic
microtubules breaking down and the formation of the

The failure of Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Company (CINB)
One of the most famous features on the landscape of the banking crisis in 1980s was the crisis
involving the Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Company in May 1984, which still is
one of the largest bank failures in U.S. banking history. The collapse of CINB was a significant
event in banking history that had a moral for both bank risk managers and regulators. It showed
how quickly the exposure of credit problems at a well regarded bank could turn into a liquidity
problem that danger not only the survival of the bank but also the financial system in the US.

Continental s strategy to greatly rely on such less stable sources of funds for its rapid growth was
ordered by the restraining unit bank law of Illinois. Under the McFadden Act ( Federal legislation

)(investopedia.com,2008) national banks could not branch outside of their home states and within
states they had to obey the rules of the state branching laws. Illinois law also banned the creation of
multi bank holding companies within the state, thereby restricting all banks within the state to a
single retail office. In name, Continental was a national bank; in fact, it was located in downtown
Chicago and could collect retail deposits only at that location. Therefore, Continental was confined
by a very narrow consumer deposit base and had to fund its ambitious growth plan from less
reliable large institutional or overseas depositors. Uninsured large institutional depositors will
continue to provide funds to a bank as long as they have confidence in the safety and soundness of
the institution. In Continental s case, this confidence was broken in 1982 when market participants
began to question the financial health of the bank. The first problem that came to Continental

losses that could have been avoided if he listened to Minister Vergara s suggestion of choosing an

When Is Whistleblowing Ethical
To many, the revealing of companies private information is an ethically reasonable action that
deserves either less punishment than what it does today or no punishment at all. With some
punishments for whistleblowing being ostracism, harassment, and demotion, people deem the
amercements as unreasonable (Martin). These kinds of punishments are usually doled out to
whistleblowers who work for large businesses, making their work environment more hostile and
uncomfortable. Whistleblowers get themselves into these situations when they expose information
about controversial and illegal actions committed by a company in the hopes that they will face

In the article Whistleblowing: Good or Bad? Author Adrian West gives a good example of how
the boss of a business may perceive an employee trying to expose private information on them. In
this example, the reader takes the role of the boss, making it so that their perspective can
connect to whoever s reading. In it, it says, hundreds of jobs depend on you and if you meet the
targets the company will do well. This already shows what is at stake in a company if an
employee were to try to release private information. Someone exposing that information could cause
the company to miss those targets and force the boss to make unwanted decisions such as budget
cuts and firing staff members. This would affect other employees who, at work, could ve been in
lower positions than the whistleblower themself. Not only that, but the company would also have
to spend more time and money trying to fix their mistakes. That is what is seen as the most major
problem of whistleblowing. The fact that other people who aren t even involved may have to face
consequences. The article used, that is written by Adrian West, is slightly biased due to it showing
support of the side against whistleblowers. On the contrary, he does address the other side, since
the article is talking about whether it is good or bad. Regardless, he gives good information for
both arguments, but has more for his

Natchez Trace Research Paper
We had a fast trip down to Mississippi to visit with Dad Kay. With all the storms blowing
through, we managed to evade them all thankfully. We did have sunny skies on Friday Monday.
And the little Miata just hummed along. We took the top down Friday after we left
Hopkinsville KY. Getting off the Pennyrile Pkwy and onto I 24 for a bit, traffic became quite
heavy heading into Nashville, so we got off the interstate and cut across the countryside to the
far edge of Nashville. Once on the southwest side of Nashville and the beginning of the Natchez
Trace Parkway we stopped at the infamous Loveless Cafe before driving the Natchez Trace. We
thought we d just sit down, have a meal and drive on.....uh no, 1 1/2 hr wait, the place was
packed with people there to eat smoked BBQ sandwiches. In the next building over, they sold
sandwiches to go, so that is what we did, sort of. We found some chairs outside in the shade, ate
our meal. The Natchez Trace is a destination drive within itself, maintained by the National Park
Service, it is a beautiful drive with lots of places to pull off, hike, see waterfalls, vistas, etc.....none

Saturday we were at Dad Kay s at 11am. We had a nice lunch and a good visit with them, great to
see them again. Sunday, storms were moving through in the morning, so we waited to check out
till noon, our time. We had a good lunch at a place called Harvey s and a stop by Elvis s
birthplace in Tupelo. Later, at a rest stop in Paris TN, evening was coming on and cooler, so top
down till we stopped at the Kentucky Dam Village State Park for supper in the lodge overlooking
the lake. After that, we were really getting tired, decided not to drive on home, it was near 9pm
then, so we stayed the night in Eddyville, KY. We are glad to be back home in the hills of beautiful
southern Indiana! Southern Indiana is just as pretty as western KY TN

Animal Products Is An Integral Part Of Society
Green and Clean Pleasant aromas waft through the air as steaks sizzle gently on the grill; the
sight of this tender, juicy meat placed amply upon a serving dish incites salivation and eager
anticipation. Consumption of animal products is an integral part of society; its grasp is deep, not
only at a primal but also at a psychological level. We all have happy memories and positive
associations with Grandma s pot roast or Aunt Sue s Thanksgiving turkey. But how often do we
stop and think what we are putting in our mouths may be creating a potentially negative and lasting
effect on the world we live in. Our daily consciousness is consumed with the hustle and bustle of
life, leaving us scarce little time to worry about seemingly... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Industrialized nations, specifically, the United States must stop the tragic damage being done to
the planet: noxious gases released into the atmosphere, contamination of vital water resources,
annihilation of once lush, verdant land, in addition to millions of wild animals being displaced,
disheveled and often killed, this exploitation cannot continue if we wish to see a vibrant future on
this planet. Is there a way we can help our world heal? Can we in part, contribute to the alleviation
of the burden our globe finds itself bearing? Perhaps, if each individual would examine his or her
eating habits and implement small earth friendly change, the tide could turn toward a positive
rejuvenation of the environment. We have one planet on which to live, to care for, and to pass on to
future generations; thoughtful insight and consideration is warranted to secure its vibrancy and
life. It is imperative to look at alternative, healing ways, to turn earth s grim prognosis around.
Attempts made to decrease greenhouse gas emissions caused by animal agriculture would be costly
and significantly impact budget constrains across the nation and would not stop the climate change
from occurring anyway as cyclical change is inevitable in the Earth s environment. Many worry
about the monetary impact that aiding the environment would create. Stopping to

The Importance Of Concussions In Sports
In many recent studies, scientists and doctors have been making significant discoveries about the
difference between women s and men s rates of concussions in various sports. This is shown
through the process of how women and men deal with concussions, statistical data, and the
equipment for both women and men.
To begin, the physiological process women and men go through from impact and healing is
different in a plethora of ways. For example, women are shown to report more concussion
symptoms like: poor concentration, increased fatigue, headache, and visual hallucinations (NCAA).
Also, women suffer from greater cognitive decline and slowed reaction time relative to males
(NCAA). Lastly, female concussed athletes perform more poorly on BESS (Balance Error Scoring
System) following concussion relative to males (NCAA). On the other hand, the men will have the
same symptoms but will last shorter than what women deal with due to low pre injury levels of
progesterone (The Washington Post).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In women s soccer the rate of concussion compared to boys is 2.1%. In women s softball, the
rate of concussion is up by 3.2%. Lastly, in women s basketball, the rate of concussion compared
to men s basketball is up by 1.7%. This data alone shows a number of concussions reported in the
perspective sports compared to the men s sports. To contrast, the rate of concussions in men s
soccer is 19 19.2%. For men s baseball, the concussion rate is 4.6 5. Lastly, in men s basketball, the
rate of concussion is 16 21.2 % (Headcase). What this data shows is that the rate of a sports
concussion varies by how many people play in it, and for women, not a lot of women play sports so
the rate can be biased in the way of how many people play the sport [in

The Geological Characteristics of Ethiopia Essays
Ethiopia with a growth rate of 8.5 percent per year is one of the 12th fastest growing economies in
the world in 2012. As major sectors of the economy, the agriculture, industry and services sectors
contribute 4.9 percent, 13.6 percent and 11.1 percent respectively (Geiger and Moller, 2013). With
this growth pace, the country aims to achieve the mid economy class countries in 2025 (MinistГ©r,
2011). The growth and transformation plan (GTP) gives vital attention to the manufacturing sectors
to be the basic engine of economic growth and the cementmanufacturing industry considered to
contribute to the success of this plan (MinistГ©r, 2011).

It recommends cement plants to install pollution prevention and control techniques. Further, Kumar
and Rawani (2012) revealed that in cement production process, environmental impacts are
significant starting from pre production phase to end yielding phase typically greenhouse gases.
Moreover, since clinker production is a major for energy input, emission potential, product quality
and cost in cement plants, toxic pollutants were released from physical and chemical reactions of
the raw materials and fuels of this cement kiln system (EEA, 2009). In line with this, cement
production contributes about 10% to the total global mercury emissions (Marquita, 2010).
Additionally, Oss and Padovani (2002) stated that the environmental issues of cement
manufacturing is related to general mining and mineral processing as local, regional and global
problem. These are local problems such as dust, ground subsidence, noise, vibrations, chemical
contamination, tailings spills, scenic and local ecologic degradation, and health problems among
miners. The regional scale problems are acid rain and contamination of surface and/or groundwater,
spills of processing chemicals and stream sediment loading. The global scale problems are effects
of minerals use and anthropogenic greenhouse gases in global warming.
These examples show that cement factories are a major source of pollutants for the surrounding
areas (Darley, 1966). In addition, cement industry plays a vital role

Who Is Man s Worst Enemy In Macbeth
Man s Worst Enemy
Annika Boehme
Ambition is like water. Humans need it to live but too little will weaken and kill you. Conversely,
too much and you ll drown. (Unknown). Ambition can drive individuals to do prodigious things.
However, when pursued with overconfidence and lust for power, ambition can lead to extreme
actions that can affect oneself and the people around them. In the play Macbeth, Shakespeare
discusses the idea regarding the impact an individual s ambition has on themself and others.
Macbeth was promised or cursed by three witches that he would obtain more power and would one
day be the King of Scotland. Macbeth believed the witches and their foretelling, but to gain this
power and title many events occured that had a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Macbeth heard that he would one day be king, he decided to murder King Duncan in
order to secure that position for himself, after having been encouraged by his wife. With the
curse from the three witches, Macbeth began a domino effect of events in an effort to remain
king, which drove both him and Lady Macbeth crazy as they realized their greed led to their
tragic downfall. This can be seen when Macbeth murdered his friend Banquo and his murderous
deeds came back to haunt them. Not only did these murders have a toll on Macbeth but the
weight of these murders was on Lady Macbeth as well. Following the murder of Banquo, Lady
Macbeth was found sleepwalking and trying to wash her hands of the King s blood. Lo you, here
she comes. This is her very guise; and, upon my life, fast asleep...It is an accustomed action with
her to seem thus washing her hands. (Act 5, scene 1, line 17 18, 26 27). The death of Lady
Macbeth is tragic and it is assumed she committed

  • 2. Copyright Laws And Its Impact On Intellectual Property... Introduction Copyright laws were established to provide authors with rights over their creations and to prevent unauthorized use and distribution of these creations by others. Although the law grants ownership to one party, usually the author of the work, there is a doctrine for granting ownership of work made for hire to educational institutions (Crews, 2006). This doctrine supports that if the employee developed the work under the parameters of their scope of employment or through the use of resources provided by the employer, then the employer owns the rights to the work (Crews, 2006). In an effort to clarify the mandates of copyrightlaw and improve understanding of intellectual propertyownership, educational institutions have developed their own policies addressing intellectual propertyownership. The policies vary by institution, but share the same purpose of providing guidelines and conditions for ownership of creations by the educational institution s faculty. The University of Maryland in College Park (UMCP) promotes the development of educational materials by faculty to provide and deliver the best education to its students. In an effort to address the law of copyright and clarify intellectual property ownership, as well as patents and trademarks, UMCP has developed an extensive intellectual property policy. This paper will review the policy in reference to the law as it applies to the development of works by faculty for use in distance education programs. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Tap Dance History After hundreds of years of evolution and development, tap dancing has become a truly authentic American artform. However, no two people can agree on exactly how or where the discipline began. Emmy award winning tapper Jason Samuel Smith still holds an enormous amount of respect for the history of his artform. Tap culture is all about celebrating the past and accumulating its vocabulary over time, he says. If we don t maintain our history, we lose what is valuable about tap. Despite the questionable and often debated origin of tap, the discipline stems directly from African roots due to articulate rhythmic and stylistic patterns of African dance, techniques consisting of gliding, shuffling and dragging steps, and the introduction of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Drummers collaborated with the dancers in such a way that they were able to communicate with each other through different rhythms and changes in pitch and tone. African dances were extremely sophisticated, both stylistically and rhythmically. The rhythmical elements of the dances conveyed conventional rhythms found in various nature patterns. More often than not, these dances were very repetitive, much like the cycles of life(Knowles). It was this conversational exchange between drums and feet, drummers and dancers, that evolved into tap. Time step, a basic tap step, was based on asymmetrical balance, an important aspect to African expression. It includes six measures of repetitive rhythmic phrasing, along with two measures of rhythm breaks. Often times, the swaying motion used tended to cause the accented steps to fall on the second and fourth beats of a sequence. Through their steady patterns of assimilation, imitation, and transformation, tap was created(Source 17). A common theme to their dances was society s affinity with the Earth. The most common step in African dancing, which would later become the most basic step in tap dancing, was an example of this symbiotic relationship. In order to stay connected with the power of the Earth, dancers would keep their feet close to the dirt. Flatfootedness created steps that consisted of dragging, gliding, and shuffling step(Knowles). Today s tap clearly resembles African dance because it often utilizes drags, slides, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

His conception of the wasteland as an unavoidable, vulgar part of the 1920s society is parallel to his characterization of Myrtle as an unavoidable, vulgar character that refuses to be ignored. He uses her to point out what he sees as the faults of modern society. Myrtle is materialistic, superficial, and stuck living in the physical wasteland referred to as the valley of ashes. The puppy is referred to as a purchase (28), which Myrtle briefly pays attention to but quickly forgets amongst the smoking and drinking, leaving the puppy with blind eyes through the smoke, and from time to time groaning faintly (37), one of Fitzgerald s most haunting and vivid images in the text. She haughtily talks about imaginary hired help that is supposed to take care of her puppy, which is Fitzgerald s criticism of new money parenting and irresponsibility in modern society. Her self centeredness catches up to her when George discovers the expensive puppy leash before her death. Next, Fitzgerald utilizes Myrtle s superficiality to exhibit another facet of the wasteland in modern society. Crime And Punishment Conservatism The novel Crime and Punishment was written during a time when science based ideas about civilization and evolution were beginning to replace religious or mystical ideas. Many people, under the guise of being intellectuals, subscribed to these theories and promoted them because the theories made them seem superior to their fellow men. Author Fyodor Dostoevsky incorporated many of these theories into the perspectives of the characters in his novel, suggesting that despite their presentation as new or revolutionary, they were simply re workings of older ideas re fitted for the modern era. The city s major need for water had probably long exceeded its local supplies when the Aqua Appia, Romes first aqueduct which was built in 312 B.C., was commissioned by the censor Appius Claudius Caecus. Many more aqueducts were built as the cities demanded more water. The Aqua Tepula was created in 127 B.C. and the Aqua Julia in 33 B.C. Tuberculosis infection is frequently an initial indication of HIV infection. Therefore, it is routine to test patients with TB for HIV. Also, the patient complains of being run down and sick all of the time, which could be a sign that his immune system is impaired. The presence of any other opportunistic infections or malignancies may also be indicative of HIV. Opportunistic infections occur when typically harmless microorganisms are able to cause disease in individuals who are immunocompromised. Common opportunistic infections in HIV positive patients include: Pneumocystis jiroveci pneumonia, candidiasis, toxoplasmosis, diarrhea caused by Cryptosporidium parvum, progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) caused by the JC virus, and many others. Kaposi sarcoma, an opportunistic malignancy, is a major indicator of HIV infection. As their power progresses, it is incredibly important that both Democrats and Moderate Republicans devise a strategy to hinder the spread of these ideas and limit their power. The most important ways in which these individuals should resist the growing influence of these rightwing groups include: focusing less on social issues and more on economic policy, calling out rightwing anti race rhetoric and dog whistle politics, and by staying away from becoming an extremist group themselves. Not only will this process take legitimacy away from the Democrats in the long run, but it will also only cause the rightwing to go further to the right. The only way to successfully oppose the rightwing movement is to remain as logical and level headed as is possible. This is demonstrated in Claire Conner s experiences with the John Birch Society. While the society was incredibly powerful at one time, they eventually began to collapse once they went after prominent leaders. Many soon saw them as radical and un logical. As we let the rightwing movements spiral more and more out of control, anyone who is even close to moderate will leave them, thus weakening their power. Providing those whose opinions begin to dissent from this group an alternative is vital to opposing them. Another reason why it is so important to shy away from radical behavior and ideas is that it will make other liberal arguments weaker. It will be near impossible to convince rightwing supporters that their leaders are using coded racial appeals when they have already written us off. One argument that has pushed liberals further away from logically discussion and further toward extremist emotional appeals is the, Trump is just like Hitler saying. When it comes to the topic of judicial system in America, most of us will readily agree that it needs to be reformed. Where this agreement usually ends, however, is on the question of who will step forward and make changes to the court system. Whereas some are convinced that no one is going to do anything about it, others maintain that the government will be the savior by making the changes. In the introduction of Just Mercy: A Story of Justice And Redemption, by Bryan Stevenson an American lawyer, social justice activist, founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative, and a clinical professor at New York University School of Law Stevenson emphasizes that people are not being treated fairly in the judicial system of America. The book was written to give readers a close up look on mass incarceration and extreme punishment given in America. Convincing the readers is not easy, except if the author uses strategic techniques such as ethos, pathos, and logos. It is even more tough if the topic is sensitive and debatable as this one. In it, it says, hundreds of jobs depend on you and if you meet the targets the company will do well. Getting off the Pennyrile Pkwy and onto I 24 for a bit, traffic became quite heavy heading into Nashville, so we got off the interstate and cut across the countryside to the far edge of Nashville. Once on the southwest side of Nashville and the beginning of the Natchez Trace Parkway we stopped at the infamous Loveless Cafe before driving the Natchez Trace. We thought we d just sit down, have a meal and drive on.....uh no, 1 1/2 hr wait, the place was packed with people there to eat smoked BBQ sandwiches. In the next building over, they sold sandwiches to go, so that is what we did, sort of. We found some chairs outside in the shade, ate our meal. The Natchez Trace is a destination drive within itself, maintained by the National Park Service, it is a beautiful drive with lots of places to pull off, hike, see waterfalls, vistas, etc.....none of which we did : )... • 44. Animal Products Is An Integral Part Of Society Green and Clean Pleasant aromas waft through the air as steaks sizzle gently on the grill; the sight of this tender, juicy meat placed amply upon a serving dish incites salivation and eager anticipation. Consumption of animal products is an integral part of society; its grasp is deep, not only at a primal but also at a psychological level. We all have happy memories and positive associations with Grandma s pot roast or Aunt Sue s Thanksgiving turkey. But how often do we stop and think what we are putting in our mouths may be creating a potentially negative and lasting effect on the world we live in. Our daily consciousness is consumed with the hustle and bustle of life, leaving us scarce little time to worry about seemingly... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Industrialized nations, specifically, the United States must stop the tragic damage being done to the planet: noxious gases released into the atmosphere, contamination of vital water resources, annihilation of once lush, verdant land, in addition to millions of wild animals being displaced, disheveled and often killed, this exploitation cannot continue if we wish to see a vibrant future on this planet. Is there a way we can help our world heal? Can we in part, contribute to the alleviation of the burden our globe finds itself bearing? Perhaps, if each individual would examine his or her eating habits and implement small earth friendly change, the tide could turn toward a positive rejuvenation of the environment. We have one planet on which to live, to care for, and to pass on to future generations; thoughtful insight and consideration is warranted to secure its vibrancy and life. It is imperative to look at alternative, healing ways, to turn earth s grim prognosis around. Attempts made to decrease greenhouse gas emissions caused by animal agriculture would be costly and significantly impact budget constrains across the nation and would not stop the climate change from occurring anyway as cyclical change is inevitable in the Earth s environment. Many worry about the monetary impact that aiding the environment would create. Stopping to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. The Importance Of Concussions In Sports In many recent studies, scientists and doctors have been making significant discoveries about the difference between women s and men s rates of concussions in various sports. This is shown through the process of how women and men deal with concussions, statistical data, and the equipment for both women and men. To begin, the physiological process women and men go through from impact and healing is different in a plethora of ways. For example, women are shown to report more concussion symptoms like: poor concentration, increased fatigue, headache, and visual hallucinations (NCAA). Also, women suffer from greater cognitive decline and slowed reaction time relative to males (NCAA). Lastly, female concussed athletes perform more poorly on BESS (Balance Error Scoring System) following concussion relative to males (NCAA). On the other hand, the men will have the same symptoms but will last shorter than what women deal with due to low pre injury levels of progesterone (The Washington Post).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In women s soccer the rate of concussion compared to boys is 2.1%. In women s softball, the rate of concussion is up by 3.2%. Lastly, in women s basketball, the rate of concussion compared to men s basketball is up by 1.7%. This data alone shows a number of concussions reported in the perspective sports compared to the men s sports. To contrast, the rate of concussions in men s soccer is 19 19.2%. For men s baseball, the concussion rate is 4.6 5. Lastly, in men s basketball, the rate of concussion is 16 21.2 % (Headcase). What this data shows is that the rate of a sports concussion varies by how many people play in it, and for women, not a lot of women play sports so the rate can be biased in the way of how many people play the sport [in ... It recommends cement plants to install pollution prevention and control techniques. Further, Kumar and Rawani (2012) revealed that in cement production process, environmental impacts are significant starting from pre production phase to end yielding phase typically greenhouse gases. Moreover, since clinker production is a major for energy input, emission potential, product quality and cost in cement plants, toxic pollutants were released from physical and chemical reactions of the raw materials and fuels of this cement kiln system (EEA, 2009). In line with this, cement production contributes about 10% to the total global mercury emissions (Marquita, 2010). Additionally, Oss and Padovani (2002) stated that the environmental issues of cement manufacturing is related to general mining and mineral processing as local, regional and global problem. These are local problems such as dust, ground subsidence, noise, vibrations, chemical contamination, tailings spills, scenic and local ecologic degradation, and health problems among miners. The regional scale problems are acid rain and contamination of surface and/or groundwater, spills of processing chemicals and stream sediment loading. The global scale problems are effects of minerals use and anthropogenic greenhouse gases in global warming. These examples show that cement factories are a major source of pollutants for the surrounding areas (Darley, 1966). In addition, cement industry plays a vital role ... When Macbeth heard that he would one day be king, he decided to murder King Duncan in order to secure that position for himself, after having been encouraged by his wife. With the curse from the three witches, Macbeth began a domino effect of events in an effort to remain king, which drove both him and Lady Macbeth crazy as they realized their greed led to their tragic downfall. This can be seen when Macbeth murdered his friend Banquo and his murderous deeds came back to haunt them. Not only did these murders have a toll on Macbeth but the weight of these murders was on Lady Macbeth as well. Following the murder of Banquo, Lady Macbeth was found sleepwalking and trying to wash her hands of the King s blood. Lo you, here she comes.
