Who Is Julius Caesar A Good Leader
Man of the Year
Julius Caesar was a great leader of Rome. He contained good writing skills and was a person who
would share his own achievements with other people. He was a military leader who conquered Gaul
and pieces of Switzerland. Julius fought many battles to make the countries stronger and have the
people live in a better environment. Caesar had armies of people that would back him up and would
do anything to keep their royal leader happy and strong. The great leader of Rome had good hygiene,
by having his face shaved and not letting his hair get too long, but keeping it closely cut. Not only was
Caesar a ladies man, but he had three wives. His first wife was Cornelia and they got married in 84

Sulla was the new leader of Rome until his own death took him out of office. Caesar had fought many
battles and proved that he was a good leader. He maintained his stamina and had the Italian Peninsula
under his control while defeating legions loyal of Pompey. This proved that not only was he a good
fighter but that he could be the, Man of the Year. Caesar had many ups and downs while fighting his
battles, but he never gave up on Rome or the people. He was a man that had good intentions and
wouldn t let enemies like Pompey tell him otherwise. Julius Caesar s play played a big role in how the
Senators killed Caesar. The play showed how Caesar really was and how he was going to rule Rome.
Brutus and Cassius betrayed Caesar and believed that Caesar would gain to much power if he was the
ruler of Rome and had the crown. Antony was Julius Caesar s only loyal friend and would do anything
to keep his friend happy. Calpurnia on the other hand was Julius Caesar s third wife and she tried to
warn him about the killing of her husband. The Senators killed Caesar at the capital where he was then
stabbed by his enemies. At the end of the play; Brutus had his servant stab him because Caesar came
to him as a ghost and he felt bad about what

The Unitarian View Of Religion
The author, James B. Torrance writes concerning the distinction between two views of worship. One
of the views of worship is called the Unitarian view. The Unitarian view is the common practice of
several churches. It is considered a religious concept of human wisdom, worship to God. These
concepts include, going to church, singing psalms and hymns to God, interceding for the world, listen
to a sermon, offering money, time and talents to God. After all, these actions of worship are simply
part of traditions, without the substance Jesus Christ s redemption. It is in a sense going through the
motion, without the relevance of the Holy Spirit.
Trinitarian view, on the other hand, is the participation with the Son s communion with the Father.

The Importance Of Bias In Literature
Few modern authors have had as profound an effect on their genre, society, political debate, or
literature in general as Robert Heinlein. Science fiction author Ken Macleod suggests that the world
was having a dialogue with Heinlein, unfortunately, one of the unintentional consequences of dialogue
is misunderstanding, some of which is caused by reader bias (Macleod, James, Mendlesohn 231). Bias
is dangerous to readers and they should, consequently, avoid it for at least three reasons; first, it causes
a work or author to be regarded in many contradicting ways; second, it creates an atmosphere in which
faulty arguments are made, and third, it results in significant elements of the story being ignored.
Though, one should not construe this in such a way as to denote that this report is so much about the
book itself as about the overall scope of it in relation to Heinlein, the bias levied for or against the
book and him as well as their overall message, and the meaning of the work itself. It is vital that it be
understood that in this context bias is any tendency to judge something either more or less favorably
based on preexisting notions rather than on the data presented. It is equally important to understand
that the human mind looks for patterns, the term for this phenomenon is pareidolia, in which people
see hidden faces in clouds or even hear nonexistent messages in songs. It is because the mind seeks to
recognize patterns, even where none exist. Similarly, people who

Hookworm Research Paper
19 Hookworm (Anclostoma Duodenale and Necator Americanus). Hookworm is another very
important intestinal helminth that infects over seven hundred million people worldwide (CDC, 2016).
The adult worms, like ascaris live in the intestine and shed their eggs in the faeces of infected person.
Faecal contamination of the soil or the use of human excreta as fertilizer increases the chance of hook
worm eggs to be deposited in the soil. The eggs when released into the soil hatch into the larvae.
Hookworm infection occurs when the infective larvae penetrate the human skin. This infection is
likely possible when people walk barefoot on soil contaminated with hookworm eggs (Cappello,
2004). Infections with hookworm are usually asymptomatic

Urban Myths Of Urban Legends
Imagine the urban legends from your younger years, a reminiscent of your wildest fears. Your heart
rate gradually increases from the thought, feeling it pump out from your chest. Your breathing staggers
and paranoia surrounds you. You re frozen from fear, yet you can t run or fight it off. As we grow,
urban legends are intended to make us feel specific emotions: as children they instill fear, as
adolescents they re meant more as humorous banter, while as adults, they re forgotten and replaced
with new ones only to be told to a child later one thus far continuing the cycle. In the urban legends:
My Dead Girlfriend , Calls from Beyond , Bed Reckoning , and Carmen Winstead , we live in a fast
track world where our phones as well as social media sites are main factors in our lives. These four
urban legends are made to scare us into being more cautious with who can easily access your or a
loved one s phone and or social media.
Starting with the urban legend titled, My Dead Girlfriend , a man begins receiving messages from his
girlfriend via Facebook. There s nothing seemingly wrong with getting messages from your girlfriend,
right? The only problem with those messages was that the man s girlfriend had died in a car accident
more than over a year ago. Before this creepy story ended up on Snopes.com it was posted on Reddit s
NoSleep community forum, usually a sharing source for original scary stories. This man kept

Chinese Labor relations
Chinese Labor Relations Labor relations in China have become more and more complex, labor
conflicts have occurred frequently, and thus labor disputes have been growing with a rate much faster
than that of the development of GDP in the past decade. They could become a potential obstacle to the
economic development if not appropriately managed. The paper studies the condition of labor
relations, and probes the profound reasons for it, and compares it across the world in order to give a
description for it. 1. CONDITION OF LABOR RELATIONS IN CHINA Since the mid of 1990s,
accompanied with the deepening of economy reform of China, most social and economic relationships

Therefore more studies were much needed. In conclusion, the weak status of workers and the related
labor conflicts will still exist for a long time in present and in the coming future and it is urgent to
regulate and coordinate the labor relations. However, the labor relations were not absolutely
contradictive and non coordinated because the acute labor relations can bring losses and damage to the
interests of both employers and employees. Thus the coordination of labor relations should be a long
trend. 2 BACKGROUND FOR SHARPLY INCREASED LABOR CONFLICTS: ECONOMIC
TRANSFORMATION The labor relations have experienced radical changes in the process of
economic transformation in China in the past two decades. The economic transformation in China
meant the transformation of both the economic system and the economic structure. In the
transformation of economic system, the labor relations changed from the traditional planned economy
system to market oriented economy system, and from the simple style between state owned enterprises
and employees to the complex style between enterprises of various ownerships and employees with
different status, from interest consistency and inter cooperation to interest conflict and the
combination of inter cooperation and confliction. In the transformation of economic structure, lots of
rural surplus labor, attracted by the payment difference between rural and urban China floated into

Effects of Air Pollution in Delhi
Introduction
Air is the ocean we breathe. Air supplies us with oxygen which is essential for our bodies to live. Air
is 99.9% nitrogen, oxygen, water vapor and inert gases. Human activities can release substances into
the air, some of which can cause problems for humans, plants, and animals.
There are several main types of pollution and well known effects of pollution which are commonly
discussed. These include smog, acid rain, the greenhouse effect, and holes in the ozone layer. Each of
these problems has serious implications for our health and well being as well as for the whole
environment.
One type of air pollution is the release of particles into the air from burning fuel for energy. Diesel

Data from continuous monitoring of air quality reveals that suspended particulate matter levels still far
exceed stipulated standards, there is a significant downward trend as indicated in the following tables.
Due to phenomenal growth in the number of motor vehicles Delhi and power generation based on a
fired power stations, total amount on coal fired power stations, and total amount of pollutants received
by the city is around 3000 tonnes as compared to 100 tonnes a decade ago. Sixty five percent of these
pollutants are produced by motor vehicles. Annual average maximum, levels of SPM in Delhi s air has
increased from 7.6 times the permissible limit in 1987 to 16.7 time in 1995.
The steep increase in vehicle population has resulted in a corresponding increase in pollutants emitted
by vehicles. Petrol consumption has increased from 133 thousands tons in 1980 81 to 449 thousand
tons in 1996 97 and HSD consumption from 377 thousands tons to 1,234 thousand tons during the
same period. Two wheelers, which constitute 66% of the vehicles registered in Delhi, are the major
source of air pollution.
Thermal power plants contribute to 13% of air pollution. The main pollutants are stack emissions; fly
ash generations and fugitive emission in coal handling. All thee thermal

Arab Islamic Medicine Essay
Arab Islamic medicine is made up of a combination of new discoveries and the cultural exchange
between different theories and practices of healing. Religion also had a significant role in Islamic
medicine as ideas from the Qur an, the prophet, and hadiths were pulled together to form several
principles. The attitude of Islam towards the origin of disease was in some ways similar to the Judeo
Christians. Although it was agreed that sickness was usually borne without moral stigma, it was also
believed that Allah caused illness as a punishment for a person s sins or for reasons beyond man s
comprehension. Someone who became ill would not only hope for a curative miracle through prayer,
but enlisted the help of a physician. It was a Muslim s duty to provide care and assistance to ... Show

It was said that Allah had sent a cure for every ailment and it was a Muslim s duty to take care of the
body and the spirit. This in turn provided a motive for improving the quality of healthcare and making
sure that it was accessible for everyone. Additionally, hadiths assisted in laying down guidelines for an
extensive approach to health. In the earlier days of Islam there was much debate over whether or not
Islamic physicians should use Greek, Chinese, and Indian medical techniques. Many people viewed
them as pagan. In the end, many practices and theories were blended into Islamic medicine creating
new practices, new theories, and new ideas.
Arab Islamic medicine shares many ideas with Greek medicine over the roles to specific major organs,

The Administration Of Civil Law
The Administration of Civil Law
In 1996 Lord Woolf reconstructed his review on Civil Justice which led to the Access to Justice Act
1999. There were a number of criticisms within the system and Lord Woolf s aim was to reduce cost,
delay and complexity within the system and increase access to justice. (Elliot Quinn, 2015).
There are currently 216 county courts that are solely concerned with civil work. Around 170 of them
are divorce county courts and have jurisdiction to hear undefended divorce and adoption or
guardianship cases. In the High Court, civil work, divorce and family matters still remain, though
there is a separate Family Court which was introduced in April 2014. Next is the court of Appeal,
followed by the Supreme Court. (i.b.i.d).
Question One:
Before a trial or case management begins, a case must first be allocated to one of the three tracks;
small claims, fast track or multi track. This will determine the future conduct of proceedings. In order
to determine which track would be the most appropriate the court gives questionnaires to each party.
The answers to the questionnaires will help to determine in which track the case would be dealt with
best.
If Harriet were to claim a value of £10,000 or less then this would be the small claims track. In this
procedure she would be advised to contact an experienced adviser, such as a Citizens Advice Bureau,
usually one close to her. In the outcome of most cases the court would not order for the solicitors costs

Procrastinator And Slacker Analysis
All people spend at least a little time in the four of quadrants: procrastinator, prioritizer, yes man, and
slacker. The quadrants represent your habits on importance and urgency in relation to your priorities.
Although I spend most of my time as a prioritizer, I can remove the yes man from my life by being a
better prioritizer and learning how to say no to people. The first and fourth quadrants, procrastinator
and slacker, are the two worst quadrants to be in. Both leave you with low quality performance, stress,
guilt, and a lot of wasted time. Procrastinators and slackers do not plan anything out, nor do they
worry about the quality of their work, only that it eventually gets done, sometime in the future. At this

Responsibility In Mitch Albom s The Five You Will Meet In...
Social responsibility is a phrase with many interpretations and meanings. Many believe social
responsibility is like being a brother s keeper. A brother s keeper is a male or female willing to put
their own beliefs and feelings aside to be responsible for the greater good.A literary example of this
interpretation of social responsibility, can be found the 2003 bestseller,The Five People You Will Meet
in Heaven. The author,Mitch Albom, incorporates the idea of social responsibility in many of his
characters. Each character has an element or lesson of social responsibility: the shows how everyone
is connected, how sacrifice, acceptance and forgiveness is an essential to life and to responsibility
Albom included these concept in an attempt to make the readers reflect on their own interpretations
and beliefs of social responsibility.
The first lesson of social responsibility in this story is about awareness of actions and how they are
connected. Albom reveals this lesson by incorporating the Blue Man. The Blue Man is a nickname for
a physically deformed man,Joseph Corvelzchik, who Eddie indirectly kills as a child, running after a
ball in the street. also known as, The Blue Man, receives his nickname because of how the sliver

He also believed that no one deserved to be left behind and the Captain s character was a great
representation of responsibility. Sacrifice is similar to the first lesson of interconnectivity, sacrificing:

of sacrifice and a major cornerstone of social responsibility The inclusion of a character Eddie
already knew and respected once again proved the point of how the actions and sacrifices of others

A Woman Under The Influence
A Woman Under the Influence is an American dramatic film that was written in an entangled way to
illustrate a story. The auteur John Cassavetes wrote and directed this film that was released in
November of 1974. Cassavetes spent most of his career creating films that were more off the grid ; A
Woman Under the Influence is a prime example considering there was no other American film quite
comparable to it. This was a rare film because the internal fluctuations effectively allowed formulating
of the primary configurations. John Cassavetes rejected the elements and techniques of the American
movie and created his own method (LoBrutto). Cassavetes is known to be the pioneer of American
independent film. Independent filmmaking is difficult to establish an exact definition mostly because
it does not follow a set of specific guidelines. Conversely independent films are commonly designated
to be character driven, and these were the films that frequently had an extremely low budget. A
Woman Under the Influence and some of Cassavetes other films demonstrate in a similar form of
bstylistic characterizations of post World War II European film. Independent filmmakers typically
viewed their films as a film as an art form or as a business film. Nonetheless Cassavetes undoubtedly
viewed his films as a form of art.
The film opens with typical events any average family would endure. Gena Rowland starring as,

The Role of African American Women in the Civil Rights...
The African American Civil Rights Movement was a series of protests in the United States South from
approximately 1955 through 1968. The overall goal of the Civil Rights Movement was to achieve
racial equality before the law. Protest tactics were, overall, acts of civil disobedience. Rarely were they
ever intended to be violent. From sit ins to boycotts to marches, the activists involved in the Civil
Rights Movement were vigilant and dedicated to the cause without being aggressive. While African
American men seemed to be the leaders in this epic movement, African American women played a
huge role behind the scenes and in the protests. When discussing the American Civil Rights

However, unlike many protest leaders, Clark s most influential work was done behind the scenes.
Septima Poinsette Clark was an educator first and foremost. She got a job teaching as soon as she
graduated from high school and taught children during the day and illiterate adults at night. She first
got involved in political activism when she began campaigning for equal salaries for teachers
regardless of their race. She also joined the National Association for the Advancement of Colored
People (NAACP), which eventually cost Clark her job. Because she was unable to find work, she was
forced to move to Monteagle, Tennessee where she worked as a teacher at Highlander Folk School.
This is where Septima Clark would make her mark on history. She began by teaching literacy cources
where she would teach uneducated adults simple things like how to fill out a voter registration card or
a driver s license forms. Clark saw a need for this type of education and realized that this was the key
to the advancement of the African American people.
It was through these ideas that Septima Clark eventually developed the idea for Citizenship Schools .
These were schools that taught adults how to read and eventually gain citizenship through education.
The citizenship schools are what Septima Clark is most famous for, and for good reason. They not

Food Safety Modernization Act Of 2010 ( Fsma )
Food Safety Modernization Act
The new FDA Food Safety Modernization Act of 2010 (FSMA) was signed into law by President
Obama on January 4, 2011. It aims to ensure the U.S. food supply is safe by shifting the focus of
federal regulators from responding to contamination to preventing it rather than relying primarily on
reacting to problems after they occur. Everyone play a role in ensuring safe food from field to fork.
The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) is the major inspection and reorganize of United State
food safety practice since 1938. This is a big change to US food system, since the new regulations are
not just for farms, but facilities that process food for people to eat. These new regulations are
important for the food and Drug Administration to get these regulations right, thus that they improve
food safety.
The major elements of FDA Food Safety Modernization Act can be divided into five keys area: 1)
Preventive Control, 2) Inspection and compliance, 3) Imported food safety, 4) Response, 5) Enhanced
partnerships.
1) Preventive Control , this is the first time the FDA have a legislative mandate to require
comprehensive, science based preventive controls across the food supply. This mandate includes:
mandatory preventive controls for food facilities, mandatory produce safety standards, and authority
to prevent intentional contamination. Mandatory preventive controls for food facilities means food

Edgar Allan Poe s A Descent Into The Maelstrom
In Edgar Allan Poe s A Descent into the Maelstrom, the power of nature is underestimated. Aspects of
the natural world are depicted in an extreme, otherworldly and almost unfathomable form, and serve
as indicators for a journey into a world that is within nature, but simultaneously borders on the
supernatural. Common elements of the natural world are intensified and serve as symbolic, rather than
everyday elements. Their exaggerated forms signify a break from a more familiar, assumed
understanding of nature, which man thought he could predict and control, to a more powerful force.
The protagonist in A Descent into the Maelstrom attempts to use reasoning and science to prepare to
map out nature s workings, which proves to be unreliable as he encounters natural forces that surround
supernatural events. The end result is that a reliance on the principles of science and reason are
exchanged for a renewed understanding of the powerful role of nature and its relation with the cosmic.
Through the sailor s changed perspective after encountering the maelstrom, the reader is able to see
the relationship between the nature of the cosmos and man s place in it. It is through the comparative
theme of the cosmic versus the small that Poe challenges the favored prevalence of scientific thinking
that stemmed from the Enlightenment. In a time where the complexities of religion and nature were
being overwhelmed by a preference for scientific explanation and thought, Poe challenges that

Malaria Is A Threat Of Malaria
Malaria, just the very name rings with menace. It is a life threatening disease cause by parasites
transmitted from infected bites of female mosquitoes. Now if you live in any area that is humid, hot,
and prone to rain or near water and has mosquitos you are at risk for contracting this parasite.
Normally Africa, South America, Middle East, rarely developed countries. About 3.2 billion people,
almost half of the world s population, are at risk of malaria. Granted we live in a time where in the
United States malaria is rare to hear about these days but in developing and undeveloped countries,
Malaria is a very real threat. Malaria has been plaguing societies for years. Only recently has the
Unites States and other countries been able to make it a rare instance due to control of mosquitos. The
symptoms of malaria was first described in Chinese writings, the Nei Ching (2700 BC). It became
widely known in Greece, Hippocrates noted the principle symptoms. In the Susruta, a Sanskrit
medical treatise, the symptoms of malaria were described and attributed to certain bites of insects.
Some Roman writers thought the diseases were attributed to swampy areas. In the New World, Indians
told Spanish missionaries of the medical bark they used to treat the fevers of those infected with
malaria. With the bark it actually cured the wife of the Viceroy of Peru. After this the bark from that
tree was called Cinchona after the countess. The antimalarial, quinine, derives from this bark and

Lymphatic System
Lymph nodes when we are health
The lymphatic system is collected of lymph vessels, lymph nodes, and organs. The functions of this
system include the absorption of excess fluid and its return to the blood stream, absorption of fat (in
the villi of the small intestine) and the immune system function.
The lymphatic system is made up of groups of lymph nodes throughout the body, which are connected
by a network of lymph vessels.
The lymphatic system:
acts as a one way drainage system transporting fluid from body tissues into the blood circulation
contains white blood cells called lymphocytes, which fight infection
gets rid of waste products produced by cells. The lymphatic system
Lymph fluid
This is the liquid that flows through the lymph vessels and the lymph nodes. It forms when excess
liquid, from the fluid that surrounds all our body tissues, drains into small lymph vessels.
Lymph vessels are a network of tubes that go all over the body. Some are tiny channels just under the
skin, which can be easily damaged if the skin is broken. Small lymph vessels join together to form
larger lymph vessels, which pass through lymph nodes. The fluid then travels through larger lymph
tubes and drains into the bloodstream.

things are slightly different as the lymph nodes increase in size and swell up this is because the
lymphocytes are working hard to fight the infection. At times there is more waste than the liver and
kidney can remove and this accumulates in the blood and lymph channel causing infections and

Go Ask Alice Essay
Go Ask Alice is not just any other novel, it is written in the form of a diary. What also makes this
novel interesting is that it s claimed to be taken from an actual diary. And because of that it caused a
sensation back in 1971 when it was first published. Although some people believe it is not taken from
an actual diary, still to this day it doesn t have an author: it is written by Anonymous. The plot of this
novel is based around a 15 year old girl who starts writing in a diary about her day to day struggles
and happiness. When the novel begins, the main character who is known as Alice is just an ordinary
girl with teenager concerns. Alice is an innocent girl who falls into a group of kids headed into a
destructive path. She became seduced by the mind and mood alternating effects of drugs such as LSD,
heroine, marijuana, bennies, and dixies. Alice didn t ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As kids get older they get exposed to so many new things. And that is what the novel is showing the
reader. The novel allows the reader to view how Alice grows up in 2 years and all the things she goes
through. Another important theme is difficulties of communication. Alice is never able to talk to
anyone about her feelings which is why she writes in a diary. Also drugs and alcohol are a reoccurring
theme because those are the two things that mess with Alice s life the most. Identity is also a main
theme because there is quite some soul searching and self indulgent whining in the novel. Alice
definitely has an almost non existent self esteem, so her sense of identity is determined by the people
she surrounds herself with. And the last theme that stands out more than others is lies and deceit. One
of them main ways Alice is able to pull off her shenanigans is because of a healthy dose of self
deception and some series denial. The whole time she is doing wrong things, she is lying to herself
and her loved

Roald Dahl s Lamb To The Slaughter
Can a person kill someone they really love. Roald Dahl s mysterious story, Lamb to the Slaughter,
takes place in the 1950 s. Dahl introduces Mary Maloney, the protagonist, as a conformable, obedient
women, who is six months pregnant and is obsessed with her husband, Patrick Maloney a detective.
The story begins with Mrs. Maloney eagerly waiting for her husband. When he arrives, Dahl makes it
obvious that there is something wrong with the dialogues of his mood, which were very harsh towards
Mary. The revelation of Patrick Maloney leaving her completely transformed the once gratified,
loving Mrs. Maloney into a brutal, cold hearted murderer. One lesson the story alludes to is that when

At the beginning of the story, Mary Maloney loves and adores her husband, this does not last very
long. Dahl uses simple but strong sentences to portray the killing of Patrick Maloney At the point,
Mary Maloney simply walked up behind him and without any pause she swung the big frozen leg of
lamb high in the air and brought it down as hard as she could on the back of his head. This illustrates
Mrs. Maloney walking without any hesitation, killing her beloved husband and this also exemplifies
the ultimate transformation of Mrs. Maloney from her calm behavior to being over dramatic. Another
detail that this phrase demonstrates is that Patrick is so focused in his thoughts that he doesn t sense
his wife walking up towards him. Dahl reveals this unexpected transformation of Mary Maloney
through her actions and thoughts. Another phrase that exemplifies Mrs. Maloney s change in character
is when she thinks to herself, after killing Patrick, All right, she told herself. So I ve killed him. This
illustrates Mrs. Maloney s impeccable life, or what she conceives to be her life is demolished. At this
point of the story, Dahl uses direct and indirect sentences to develop the protagonist and to show the
complete transformation of Mrs. Maloney and brings her to

Civil War Amputations
The Civil War was fought with much carnage, and was one of America s most uncivilized , wars with
a soldier s chance of survival about twenty five per cent. While many were killed by other soldiers,
usually through bullets, a large portion died as a result of disease such as: dysentery, mumps,
pneumonia, typhoid fever, measles, and tuberculosis, diseases that are curable today. These diseases
were spread through the horribly sanitized camps found on both sides of the war: Confederate and
Union. And while many died from disease, some died from other soldiers bullets; these deaths may
have been prevented if the technology, or overall techniques used by surgeons, during this time period
were more up to date, as amputations were the main procedure

Synthetic Concussions
Fewer injuries. Durability and an even playing surface mean fewer injuries. Grass gets torn up by
rough play, bad weather or both and it eventually turns into vast patches of slippery mud (see photos
to the right). Synthetic turf, the other hand, remains consistent, making play on it predictable and safer.
Synthetic turf also has better shock attenuation than natural grass. This is especially important for
impact sports like football, lacrosse and soccer, all of which currently play or seek to play on

In February 2015, Wesleyan University reported that they have seen a significant reduction in reported

1985
Miron Dolot s book, EXECUTION BY HUNGER, is a detailed account as seen through the eyes of a
true survivor during the reign of Stalin and the Soviet Union between 1929 1933. In his accounts, he
portrays atrocities against human civilization while documenting his real life experiences and those of
his fellow Ukrainian village farmers. He portrays them as victims of their own time period. Victims of
a new wave of political beliefs, namely collectivization were enforced by Stalin and his followers in
the name of Communism. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The collectivization began with the infiltration of about ten men per village from the communist party
and the soviet government known as Twenty Five Thousanders. They were an elite group with
unlimited power and weapons. They gradually arrested dignitaries and influential villagers such as
Priest Bondar. The villages were becoming defenseless and had no leaders to look up to.
Propagandists took over homes and left families with nothing but the clothes they had on. This was
the pattern throughout the entire region in all of the villages. It set neighbor against neighbor, brother
against brother all in the name of survival. Once someone you knew joined the collective farm, he was
no longer your friend.
The infiltration expanded into the exploitation of the farmers. They were held captives of their own
free will on their own lands. Overwhelmed by the Party, resistance was fruitless since they were
persuaded by sleep deprivation, humiliation, and degradation. The people became broken spirits in
appearance. It was a silent war between the communists and the collective farmers. Dolot exhibits a
hidden pride in the farmers by writing of their subtle resistances, sabotages, and stubborn survival.
They may have been beaten but they really were not broken. Some lived on.

The Impacts of Anthropogenic Greenhouse and Trace Gas Emissions on the Ocean
By: Lexie Herdt, Meredith Fish, and Samantha Ballard
Meteo 470: Video Research Project
12/15/14
Introduction:
Anthropogenic emissions of CO2 and other trace gases affect the atmosphere, ocean, biosphere and
cryosphere (IPCC, 2014). These components of the climate system stimulate interactions between
each other ranging from synoptic to microscale processes and including everything in between. Since
the industrial revolution, human produced emissions have been changing the world around us (IPCC,
2014). The phenomenon of having greenhouse gases and aerosols in the atmosphere is natural and
necessary to support life on Earth. However, the buildup of greenhouse gases ... Show more content

This research is intended to further the understanding of how the Earth s climate will be affected with
rising anthropogenic emissions.
Each of the world s countries contributes different amounts of both gas and particle emissions to the
atmosphere influencing changes in weather and climate on a daily basis. The main anthropogenic
emissions in the climate system are Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Methane (CH4), Nitrous Oxide (N2O)
and Aerosols, each consisting of a different atmospheric lifetime. Since the United States endorses
open access to scientific data, tools and resources to conduct research, it is more beneficial to analyze
the anthropogenic emission sources of the United States over other industrialized countries whose data
is not so freely available to the public (Auer et al., 2007). The United States is the second highest
emitter or polluter in the world. The burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat, and transportation
produces most of the United States emissions. Due to the country s dependence on fossil fuels, the
United States emission footprint is expanding. With a growing population and an expanding economy,
the United States is urbanizing at an expansive rate. The increase in population as well as the
modernization of our world is causing Americans to increase their energy consumption through
increased transportation and the development of new cities. All in

Misconceptions About Sharks
1 Lots of people seem to have misconceptions about sharks; they re man eating killing machines, they
re aggressive towards humans; they re unimportant to the ocean s ecosystem. I highly disagree with
these notions. In fact, I believe sharks are one of the greatest animals on the planet. Despite the stigma
surrounding sharks and their history in Hollywood movies (see: Jaws, Sharknado, Deep Blue Sea,
etc), sharks actually aren t very aggressive towards humans at all. Statistics show that youhave
approximately a 1 in 3,748,067 chance of being attacked by a shark in your LIFETIME. Compare that
to your chance of dying from fireworks (1 in 340,733), getting struck by lightning (1 in 79,746), or

Experts say sharks rarely ever attack humans unprovoked. Most shark attacks are caused by mistaken
identity, meaning they mistook you for a seal or a turtle, a shark s prey (see below). Sharks also
investigate things by bumping it with their snout, or by putting it in their mouth. This is what causes
hit and runs the shark takes a bite and disappears. This is because the shark realized you weren t prey,
or that you even tasted good. Shark attacks are also uncommonly fatal. According to statistics, only
about 7% of shark attacks end in death. The three species of shark that are the most common
perpetrators behind shark attacks are: the bull shark, tiger shark and great white, in that order. This isn
t to say that those particular species are more aggressive or dangerous than other species. Unlike, say,
lemon sharks, bulls, tigers and great whites are more likely to encounter a human. Statistics show that
beaches with more visitors each year have more shark attacks. For example, Florida sees around 90
million tourists each year, whereas North Carolina only gets about 50 million. Guess which state has
more shark attacks? The more people in the water, the higher the chance of a shark attack

The Positive And Negative Aspect Of Their Disorder
When I first saw the title and abstract to the articles required for this class, I read with disbelief the
idea that anorexia nervosa (AN) or bulimia nervosa (BN) can be seen as having positive effects on an
individual. To me, this was a foreign concept and had never crossed my mind. The exploratory studies
required 18 (AN) and 30 (BN) participants who have been diagnosed with AN or BN to write two
letters; one to their disorder as a friend and the other as a foe. From these letters, the researchers
analyzed and coded certain phrases and then divided these into pros and cons. While I believe this
study contains many flaws, it is interesting to see how they can describe both the positive and negative
aspect of their disorder. After reading through the articles, I began to understand the perception of
control and power that these participants may feel. While it may be maladaptive behaviors, as an
individual with a mental disorder, they believe that they are gaining something distinct from their
behavior whether it be the feelings of superiority of succeeding in losing weight where others have
failed or it being the one thing they can control in their life. Another aspect that I think it is important
to discuss, is the descriptors that were used in creating the eating disorder persona for lack of a better
term. The individuals in Dying to Be Thin were described by professionals as harm avoidant ,
perfectionists , and controlled . To me, this indicates a point in

Tangerine Trees
The Merriam Webster dictionary defines symbolism as a representation of abstract or intangible things
by means of symbols. There is a lot of this in Tangerine, and every symbol has a different meaning
and theme connected to it. The use of this symbolism in the novel has not only created a new way to
think of the book, but a web of themes tied to symbols. In the novel Tangerine by Edward Bloor, a
young boy named Paul is held captive by the giant secret surrounding his mysterious eye injury. He

Gdp Per Capita As An Indicator Of Standard Of Living
GDP per Capita As an indicator of standard of living GDP per capita is the market value of the final
goods and services produced in a country during a given period per person (McDowell et al. 2012).
This could also be explained as a measure of quantity of goods and services available to a typical
resident of the country at a particular period. GDP per capita is used as an indicator of standard of
living because it reflects the accessibility of goods and services to a person. GPD counts only the
goods and services that have market value but they are just one of the measures of standard of living.
There are many other factors that affects standard of living and do not contribute to GDP, e.g.
environmental quality and leisure time (McDowell et al. 2012). China has been facing serious
ecological problem (e.g. water and air quality) while its economic grows. Nonetheless, environmental
quality cannot be bought or sold in the market, the issue is not demonstrated in China s GDP. Other
than that, leisure time available to a person can affect his standard of living. The person is better off if
he can enjoy more leisure activity. But leisure time is not priced in market, and it does not give a rise
in GDP. Another problem of using GDP per capita is that it neglects purchasing power. Table 1 Real

Summary Of Flight Of Persephone By Claudia Kuran
Throughout the history, art has played an irreplaceable role in shaping the culture by allowing human
beings to express themselves. Art is a great tool to thoroughly explore and understand the story of
humanity. Specifically, the oldest artifact was found in Africa, where humanity initiated. This artifact
was dated to 30,000 BC, when humans struggled to survive in harsh nature, yet a sense of creativity
was still kindled in them. Since then, art has become a timeless story teller of human civilizations,
including the Egyptian, Greek and Roman. Furthermore, art also witnessed glorious time periods in
human history, such as the Renaissance. Ancient art was not only a key milestone in human evolution,
but also a limitless source of inspiration for modern artists. In other words, a contemporary piece of
artwork can reflect ideas of art from the past in several ways. For instance, Flight of Persephone by

How would you feel if innocent citizens were being attacked for no apparent reason? How would you

Furthermore, American government offered a Chinese open door policy to the rest of the world. But,

Horror Story completely aware that it doesn t fit into what I normally look for. To my surprise, I really
enjoyed the show. It s has some scary moments, but nothing too horrifying. The setting, mood, music,
characters, and general atmosphere of the show is meant to give a spooky vibe and does just that, but
it also goes much deeper and appeases all kinds of audiances. The American Horror Story wasn t
created to be funny, and while it has its moments, for the most part it s not. However, it is very
engaging. It draws you in with the characters and their development. It s oddly relatable. Rape,
miscarriage, suicide, homicide, drugs, and all kinds of other issues are talked about ... Show more

It is made for mature audiences, there are scenes with masturbation, rape, and drug use so, keep that in
mind when watching it. It has some scenes that could make people uncomfortable such as rape or
homicide; it is not for the faint of heart. Just know what you are sensitive to before going into it. But if
you can get past those things, it is a really great show. It is very intriguing and has a complex plot. The
characters become like a family to you. As someone who is very picky about what she watches, I am
completely in love with this show. I will continue to watch it as long as it

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Cyberterrorism
Introduction Prevalent to the current trend now is the dependency of the society on Information
technology and communication systems. Every aspect of human life is one way or the other linked and
controlled by information technology tools. The importance of information technology cannot be over
emphasized as its unavailability could lead to a form of disaster or the other. Pivotal infrastructures
like finance, healthcare, education and security are driven by information technology. However,
information technology and its benefits are accompanied by vulnerabilities and risks that can be
exploited by people with the necessary technical skills. Individuals like Hackers and Cyber Terrorist
can cause disruption to information systems, commit financial fraud and also attack computers and
networks. These attacks and disruptions could result to violence against people and properties. In
some cases, death, serious injuries and severe economic loss could occur as a result of these attacks.
What is Cyberterrorism? A lot of opinions and meanings has been given to the word Cyberterrorism .
Some of these meanings and definitions varies. In this light, Gordon and Ford (2003) are concerned
that when 10 people define cyberterrorism and nine of the given answers are different, and these 10
people represent different government agencies tasked with safeguarding national assets and
infrastructure, then it becomes a critical issue. According to Furnell and Warren (1999), Evidence
suggests that technology is growingly seen as a potential tool for terrorist organizations and the
widespread use of information technology by terrorist groups and organizations has led to the birth of
a new class of menace termed Cyberterrorism . Cyberterrorism could be used in many diverse ways.
Sometimes, a country s pivotal infrastructures could be shut down and harmed using computer
network and tools. There have been impediments in trying to give a clear and concise definition to the
term cyberterrorism . But Denning (2007) which supersedes Denning (2000) gives an unambiguous
definition to cyberterrorism: Cyberterrorism is generally understood to refer to highly damaging
computer based attacks or threats of attack by non state actors against

The Effects Of Pathological Anxiety
With as many problems as there are today, including the stresses from family, jobs, school or socially,
psychological disorders are very common. The stress of life, at one time or another, causes people to
sometimes have a horrible feeling of anxiety. Anxiety disorder is an alarm signal, heralding an
imminent danger, allowing people to use all necessary measures to cope with the threat
(Yduoctinhhoa). People who have pathological anxiety usually experience excessive or
disproportionate symptoms to the persistent threat. This affects their activities, and is possibly
accompanied by thoughts or actions which seem excessive, repeated or prolonged, which influences
their adaptation to life. The pressures of work, health, the family, the living

Summary Of Marxist Reading Of Octavia Butler s Dawn
Marxist Reading of Octavia Butler s Dawn, Book One of the Xenogenesis Trilogy Butler s novel is
very complex and nuanced, with multiple themes and layers of meaning throughout the text. A
particularly overarching theme is that of contradictions and contrasts. One way this manifests is as the
ideological conflict between the the Oankali (the alien society in the story) human cultures, the former
being quite similar to how Karl Marx envisioned the ideal society, (though neither he nor his ideology
is ever actually mentioned in the story).
Marxism is often and rightly criticised for being impossible to truly implement in human society it
always devolves into an oppressive regime. However, for the Oankali, this system that is, a classless
society with no government and no oppression appears to work very well. Because of this, on the
surface, Butler s story seems to simply reinforce Marxist ideals, but, as we will see, it actually both
reinforces and undermines them. Butler skillfully shows both the pros and cons of Marxism and lets
the reader make up his or her own mind.
While a Marxist like system works very well for the aliens, they themselves do not think this (or any
other system, for that matter) will work for the humans as they are. They assert that, [human] bodies
are fatally flawed and handicapped because [they] have a mismatched pair of genetic characteristics
which, without help, will destroy them (Part 1, ch. 5). What they mean is that, due

Service Quality And Service Performance
Traditionally, Service quality can be portrayed as the result from client comparison between their
assumptions about the service they will use and their insight about the service company. That implies
that if the insight recognitions would be higher than the desired the service will be considered as
fabulous, if the desires rise to the insight observations the service is viewed as great and if the desires
are not met the service will be viewed as awful. For a service to be considered as good the
organisation is required for making customers satisfied and service quality should be associated with
customer perceptions and expectations. (Carlsson, 2010)
Service Quality as described by (William G. Zikmund, 1993) is the degree to which the performance
of service provider s matches customer expectations. It can also be defined as those essential
characteristics of a service that measures its excellence .
Researcher s trust that the service quality theory depends on the literature of client satisfaction and
product quality. In other words, service quality can be defined as the customer s overall journey of
experience with the product, which can be measured by customer satisfaction while experiencing the
service.
The two major components of service quality are
1. Technical Quality of a Service This component of service deals with what is the product that is
delivered or served to the customer. All the physical characteristics involved in service delivery come

Essay on Parking at BSU, Possible or Not
Parking at BSU, Possible or Not With the diversity of students that attend the University, there are a
variety of challenges and advantages that are unique to each sector. Parking on the Boise State
University Campus can be a difficult and frustrating but with a little bit of help and information, you
can maneuver your way anywhere. Parking is a function that is necessary and required by almost
everyone that visits or uses the Boise State University campus. This may range from teachers to
visitors to employees. It includes students on campus that reside in the resident halls, apartments and
University suites. Parking is especially critical for students that do not reside on campus. These would
be part time or full time students. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is, of course, walking. A great source of exercise but typically only used to get from your car to
your final destination. You could ride your economically fuel efficient motorcycle, which is a great
way to travel if you do not have to worry about what you look like when you get back to work. Riding
a bicycle is a way to get around the parking conundrum since you can park your bike just about
anywhere. Last but not least, the bus is a source of transportation that many people do not look at as
they see it as time consuming and inconvenient. You must look at the parking options that are
available on and off campus when trying to decide where or how to park at Boise State. The Boise
State University Parking and Transportation Department provides a map that shows all parking areas
that are available. It appears the largest available space is the general parking. This is designated in
green on the Boise State University Campus parking map . There are lots that are located on campus
that are set as Reserved Parking . These lots appear to be located next to large structures that might
have a lot of traffic in and out. There are two parking garages that are available for reserved parking
and what is called pay by space . Within the general and reserved areas are places that you may park
your motorcycle. The motorcycles may have the largest area available per capita for motorcycle use.

  • 4. The Unitarian View Of Religion The author, James B. Torrance writes concerning the distinction between two views of worship. One of the views of worship is called the Unitarian view. The Unitarian view is the common practice of several churches. It is considered a religious concept of human wisdom, worship to God. These concepts include, going to church, singing psalms and hymns to God, interceding for the world, listen to a sermon, offering money, time and talents to God. After all, these actions of worship are simply part of traditions, without the substance Jesus Christ s redemption. It is in a sense going through the motion, without the relevance of the Holy Spirit. Trinitarian view, on the other hand, is the participation with the Son s communion with the Father. Torrance ... • 5. The Importance Of Bias In Literature Few modern authors have had as profound an effect on their genre, society, political debate, or literature in general as Robert Heinlein. Science fiction author Ken Macleod suggests that the world was having a dialogue with Heinlein, unfortunately, one of the unintentional consequences of dialogue is misunderstanding, some of which is caused by reader bias (Macleod, James, Mendlesohn 231). Bias is dangerous to readers and they should, consequently, avoid it for at least three reasons; first, it causes a work or author to be regarded in many contradicting ways; second, it creates an atmosphere in which faulty arguments are made, and third, it results in significant elements of the story being ignored. Though, one should not construe this in such a way as to denote that this report is so much about the book itself as about the overall scope of it in relation to Heinlein, the bias levied for or against the book and him as well as their overall message, and the meaning of the work itself. It is vital that it be understood that in this context bias is any tendency to judge something either more or less favorably based on preexisting notions rather than on the data presented. It is equally important to understand that the human mind looks for patterns, the term for this phenomenon is pareidolia, in which people see hidden faces in clouds or even hear nonexistent messages in songs. It is because the mind seeks to recognize patterns, even where none exist. Similarly, people who ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Religion also had a significant role in Islamic medicine as ideas from the Qur an, the prophet, and hadiths were pulled together to form several principles. The attitude of Islam towards the origin of disease was in some ways similar to the Judeo Christians. Although it was agreed that sickness was usually borne without moral stigma, it was also believed that Allah caused illness as a punishment for a person s sins or for reasons beyond man s comprehension. There were a number of criticisms within the system and Lord Woolf s aim was to reduce cost, delay and complexity within the system and increase access to justice. (Elliot Quinn, 2015). There are currently 216 county courts that are solely concerned with civil work. Around 170 of them are divorce county courts and have jurisdiction to hear undefended divorce and adoption or guardianship cases. In the High Court, civil work, divorce and family matters still remain, though there is a separate Family Court which was introduced in April 2014. Next is the court of Appeal, followed by the Supreme Court. (i.b.i.d). Question One: Before a trial or case management begins, a case must first be allocated to one of the three tracks; small claims, fast track or multi track. This will determine the future conduct of proceedings. In order to determine which track would be the most appropriate the court gives questionnaires to each party. The answers to the questionnaires will help to determine in which track the case would be dealt with best. If Harriet were to claim a value of £10,000 or less then this would be the small claims track. • 16. A Woman Under The Influence A Woman Under the Influence is an American dramatic film that was written in an entangled way to illustrate a story. The auteur John Cassavetes wrote and directed this film that was released in November of 1974. Cassavetes spent most of his career creating films that were more off the grid ; A Woman Under the Influence is a prime example considering there was no other American film quite comparable to it. This was a rare film because the internal fluctuations effectively allowed formulating of the primary configurations. John Cassavetes rejected the elements and techniques of the American movie and created his own method (LoBrutto). Cassavetes is known to be the pioneer of American independent film. Independent filmmaking is difficult to establish an exact definition mostly because it does not follow a set of specific guidelines. Conversely independent films are commonly designated to be character driven, and these were the films that frequently had an extremely low budget. A Woman Under the Influence and some of Cassavetes other films demonstrate in a similar form of bstylistic characterizations of post World War II European film. Independent filmmakers typically viewed their films as a film as an art form or as a business film. Nonetheless Cassavetes undoubtedly viewed his films as a form of art. • 21. Edgar Allan Poe s A Descent Into The Maelstrom In Edgar Allan Poe s A Descent into the Maelstrom, the power of nature is underestimated. Aspects of the natural world are depicted in an extreme, otherworldly and almost unfathomable form, and serve as indicators for a journey into a world that is within nature, but simultaneously borders on the supernatural. Common elements of the natural world are intensified and serve as symbolic, rather than everyday elements. Their exaggerated forms signify a break from a more familiar, assumed understanding of nature, which man thought he could predict and control, to a more powerful force. The protagonist in A Descent into the Maelstrom attempts to use reasoning and science to prepare to map out nature s workings, which proves to be unreliable as he encounters natural forces that surround supernatural events. The end result is that a reliance on the principles of science and reason are exchanged for a renewed understanding of the powerful role of nature and its relation with the cosmic. Through the sailor s changed perspective after encountering the maelstrom, the reader is able to see the relationship between the nature of the cosmos and man s place in it. In the Susruta, a Sanskrit medical treatise, the symptoms of malaria were described and attributed to certain bites of insects. Some Roman writers thought the diseases were attributed to swampy areas. In the New World, Indians told Spanish missionaries of the medical bark they used to treat the fevers of those infected with malaria. With the bark it actually cured the wife of the Viceroy of Peru. Since the United States endorses open access to scientific data, tools and resources to conduct research, it is more beneficial to analyze the anthropogenic emission sources of the United States over other industrialized countries whose data is not so freely available to the public (Auer et al., 2007). Gdp Per Capita As An Indicator Of Standard Of Living GDP per Capita As an indicator of standard of living GDP per capita is the market value of the final goods and services produced in a country during a given period per person (McDowell et al. 2012). This could also be explained as a measure of quantity of goods and services available to a typical resident of the country at a particular period. GDP per capita is used as an indicator of standard of living because it reflects the accessibility of goods and services to a person. GPD counts only the goods and services that have market value but they are just one of the measures of standard of living. There are many other factors that affects standard of living and do not contribute to GDP, e.g. environmental quality and leisure time (McDowell et al. 2012). China has been facing serious ecological problem (e.g. water and air quality) while its economic grows. Nonetheless, environmental quality cannot be bought or sold in the market, the issue is not demonstrated in China s GDP. Other than that, leisure time available to a person can affect his standard of living. The person is better off if he can enjoy more leisure activity. But leisure time is not priced in market, and it does not give a rise in GDP. Another problem of using GDP per capita is that it neglects purchasing power. Shows like this are hard to come by; there are some old ones that I ve come to enjoy such as Friends and The Office, but lately I have yet to find a show that fits my normal preferences. I have spent months watching Friends over and over again, but that gets boring after a while, so I decided to step out of my comfort zone and find a show I wouldn t usually watch. I decided to try American Horror Story completely aware that it doesn t fit into what I normally look for. To my surprise, I really enjoyed the show. It s has some scary moments, but nothing too horrifying. The setting, mood, music, characters, and general atmosphere of the show is meant to give a spooky vibe and does just that, but it also goes much deeper and appeases all kinds of audiances. The American Horror Story wasn t created to be funny, and while it has its moments, for the most part it s not. However, it is very engaging. It draws you in with the characters and their development. It s oddly relatable. Rape, miscarriage, suicide, homicide, drugs, and all kinds of other issues are talked about ... It has some scenes that could make people uncomfortable such as rape or homicide; it is not for the faint of heart. Just know what you are sensitive to before going into it. But if you can get past those things, it is a really great show. It is very intriguing and has a complex plot. The characters become like a family to you. As someone who is very picky about what she watches, I am completely in love with this show. I will continue to watch it as long as it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Cyberterrorism Introduction Prevalent to the current trend now is the dependency of the society on Information technology and communication systems. Every aspect of human life is one way or the other linked and controlled by information technology tools. The importance of information technology cannot be over emphasized as its unavailability could lead to a form of disaster or the other. Pivotal infrastructures like finance, healthcare, education and security are driven by information technology. However, information technology and its benefits are accompanied by vulnerabilities and risks that can be exploited by people with the necessary technical skills. Individuals like Hackers and Cyber Terrorist can cause disruption to information systems, commit financial fraud and also attack computers and networks. These attacks and disruptions could result to violence against people and properties. In some cases, death, serious injuries and severe economic loss could occur as a result of these attacks. What is Cyberterrorism? A lot of opinions and meanings has been given to the word Cyberterrorism . Some of these meanings and definitions varies. In this light, Gordon and Ford (2003) are concerned that when 10 people define cyberterrorism and nine of the given answers are different, and these 10 people represent different government agencies tasked with safeguarding national assets and infrastructure, then it becomes a critical issue. According to Furnell and Warren (1999), Evidence suggests that technology is growingly seen as a potential tool for terrorist organizations and the widespread use of information technology by terrorist groups and organizations has led to the birth of a new class of menace termed Cyberterrorism . Cyberterrorism could be used in many diverse ways. Sometimes, a country s pivotal infrastructures could be shut down and harmed using computer network and tools. There have been impediments in trying to give a clear and concise definition to the term cyberterrorism . But Denning (2007) which supersedes Denning (2000) gives an unambiguous definition to cyberterrorism: Cyberterrorism is generally understood to refer to highly damaging computer based attacks or threats of attack by non state actors against ... • 47. Summary Of Marxist Reading Of Octavia Butler s Dawn Marxist Reading of Octavia Butler s Dawn, Book One of the Xenogenesis Trilogy Butler s novel is very complex and nuanced, with multiple themes and layers of meaning throughout the text. A particularly overarching theme is that of contradictions and contrasts. One way this manifests is as the ideological conflict between the the Oankali (the alien society in the story) human cultures, the former being quite similar to how Karl Marx envisioned the ideal society, (though neither he nor his ideology is ever actually mentioned in the story). Marxism is often and rightly criticised for being impossible to truly implement in human society it always devolves into an oppressive regime. However, for the Oankali, this system that is, a classless society with no government and no oppression appears to work very well. Because of this, on the surface, Butler s story seems to simply reinforce Marxist ideals, but, as we will see, it actually both reinforces and undermines them. Butler skillfully shows both the pros and cons of Marxism and lets the reader make up his or her own mind. While a Marxist like system works very well for the aliens, they themselves do not think this (or any other system, for that matter) will work for the humans as they are. They assert that, [human] bodies are fatally flawed and handicapped because [they] have a mismatched pair of genetic characteristics which, without help, will destroy them (Part 1, ch. 5). What they mean is that, due ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 48. Service Quality And Service Performance Traditionally, Service quality can be portrayed as the result from client comparison between their assumptions about the service they will use and their insight about the service company. That implies that if the insight recognitions would be higher than the desired the service will be considered as fabulous, if the desires rise to the insight observations the service is viewed as great and if the desires are not met the service will be viewed as awful. For a service to be considered as good the organisation is required for making customers satisfied and service quality should be associated with customer perceptions and expectations. (Carlsson, 2010) Service Quality as described by (William G. Zikmund, 1993) is the degree to which the performance of service provider s matches customer expectations.
