at the same time he was writing publications in books and newspapers. Commensurable to Hess

The Crucible was a visual presentation for us to understand how a type of government can
paranoid someone and encourage other people who cause the tension. The Crucible helped us
understand that life is like a domino, if one person is infected by a problem, the rest will have to
deal with that problem, and as this domino effect goes on, the future follows it as well. History
goes back a long way. When we look back at history, we should learn from those mistakes. When
Miller was in high school, he was very inspired in the Salem Witch Trial s and decided to go to

Seguridad acting on behalf of the State of Spain, has not breached article four of the 2020 Gibraltar

The High Contracting Parties of the Gibraltar Tunnel treaty are Mauritania, Morocco, Spain,
Portugal and the UK. Of these five, only the United Kingdom has not ratified/acceded the 1951

Article seventeen of the new protocol extends the reach of refoulement such that denial of entry to
refugees aboard public or private transport, into a state by a state organ, will be considered an act of

Even though every other girl worn similar white Ao Dai s, she was given the name Little White

they made the night before, but she knew the journey would be dangerous. Her mother warned her
of the hostile men that would go to any lengths to get a girl to get into a van with them, so men

It has been found that certain chemicals in the brain impact your feelings of being hungry or

that tells your brain when you are hungry, therefore stimulating your appetite. It has also been found

This design is intended for us to maintain normal, healthy weight. Our lifestyle choices can either
allow us to maintain normal weight or cause us to get out of sync. For example, if you do not
have adequate sleep you will create more ghrelin and less leptin. This will result in an increase in
appetite and reduce the burning of calories. Another example is when you reduce your food intake
when dieting; ghrelin production is increased. This increase sends a signal to your hypothalamus
that you need to eat more. It is this lack of sleep that forces your body to work against itself and not
maintain and optimal environment for a healthy weight.
Regular exercise helps to regulate ghrelin and leptin production. Exercise normalizes your appetite
and aids it in efficiently burning calories.
The foods that you select also affect ghrelin, leptin, and the satiety center of your brain. The brain
does not recognize simple sugars or artificial sweeteners as food. As a result of this, ghrelin will
stimulate your appetite even though you may not even be hungry. This increased consumption will
result in your overeating and increasing

the Way of Kami (the deity or the deities) . The practice of Shintoism finally recognized when

Impaired elderly drivers tend to be the leading cause in fatal accidents (Kim, H., Ashton Miller, J.

including lack of peripheral vision, and hearing that can affect the decisions a person makes as they
are driving(Mihm, L. 2014). Elderly drivers should be retested for several reasons. As people age

reality of the authors world, this means that HE gets to choose whether to pick up her call or not.
However on planet Earth, the girl could have just called to fix a date.
And then there were dodgy suggestions like how a woman should never ever ask a man out because
men are conditioned to lead. The guy could be as unsure of your feelings as you are of his, or he
could be shy! I say WHY NOT ask a man out!
Many women play the martyr in relationships with men who don t treat them well because many
women feel so devoted to their partners that they are afraid of losing them. They sometimes delude
themselves with fantasies about why the partner still loves them despite all the signs pointing
otherwise. This isn t gender specific! Guys are just as delusional as women when in love! They too
would try to save the relationship by playing the martyr .
Real life is not so black and white, and this highly sexist, misogynistic book assumes that it is.
Unluckily, relationships are perilously perched in the grey and that s what makes them hard and
complicated. We are humans after all. We hurt and shape each other all the time. It is unfair to hold
men responsible for initiating all hetero relationships, casual or serious. Men are equally affected by
work pressure, family environment and heartbreaks!

Religion in the New World exploded into the land with the colonization of thousands of immigrants.
It played an important role in the development of thought in the West. Religion was one of the first
concepts to spark the desires of people from other countries to emigrate to the new lands. While
many religions blossomed on the
American shores of the Atlantic, a basic structure held for most of them, being predominantly
derived from
Puritanism. Jamestown, the first permanent English settlement, showed the link the new settlers

Penance, Confirmation, Ordination, Marriage, Confession, and Last Rites were all looked upon as

The Puritans therefore considered these ceremonies not

Catholic and Anglican Church s hierarchy and even their worship of symbols such as the cross,
statues, and stained glass windows. By 1630, Puritanism ruled New
England almost entirely. Massachusetts, Connecticut, and
New Hampshire were some of the colonies that relied on
Puritanism. As Samuel Eliot Morison states, New
Englanders, however they differed in property and occupation, had a common belief in the Bible as
the guide to life, and a uniform method of land division and settlement, (Morison, pg.167).
Governments based on the ideals of the religion represented in the town were emerging all over
the newly shaping country. The great majority of emigrants to New England were middle class
farmers, tradesmen and artisans. Since Puritanism did not condemn manual labor as some
religions did, and since every man no matter how poor could vote if he joined the church,
independent yeoman farmers quickly became the backbone of the community. In 1632, in the

22. Lyme Disease Research Papers
Although most people don t realize it, one of the world s most debilitating diseases can often be
found in their very own backyard. Lurking in the tall grass or dangling from the end of a branch,
just waiting for you to walk by. Barley bigger than a poppy seed, they re almost impossible to
notice. But these tiny black legged ticks are no joke and if you ve been bitten, you re at risk. These
nasty little ticks pack a big punch, carrying a very serious life altering disease. This disease, which
can change a life forever is known as Lyme disease.
All diseases have a causative agent, a biological pathogen that causes the disease. In Lyme disease,
the causative agent is a harmful bacteria called Borrelia burgdoferi. That being said, every disease
is transmitted in one way or the other. In this case, Lyme disease is transmitted through a vector.
That vector being a deer tick or in the Western United States, a black legged tick. In order to
contract Lyme disease, the tick must imbed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It shows no mercy and can affect multiple parts or organs simultaneously. The disease can
damage the joints, leading to Lyme Arthritis. Lyme disease is known to cause serious
neurological problems, which could lead to unannounced mental disturbances. Facial paralysis is
another one of the devastating effects. More seriously, Lyme disease can damage the liver and
eventually will lead to liver disease. It can cause encephalitis, which is inflammation of the brain.
Most importantly, the disease can cause severe heart complications. Such as, heart palpitations or
an irregular heartbeat. Keep in mind, I have only listed a few of the horrible effects that Lyme
disease has on the body. The effects of the disease on so many body systems, and the debilitating
impact on the life of the infected patient, have triggered a crisis that has far reaching implications

In Middle and South America, it is evident that human interactions affect the physical features. The
human interaction that affects Middle and South America is deforestation. In 1970 s a period of
deforestation began in Brazil with the construction of the Trans Amazon Highway; the road allowed
migrant farmers to grow crops (Pulsipher Pulsipher 2012). Deforestationcontinued throughout
Middle and South America. The use lodging of hardwoods, extracting minerals, oil, gas, stones and
clearing off land for raising cattle, and growing crops has impacted most of the land in Middle and

Legalization of the use of drugs in sport might even have some advantages. The boundary between
the therapeutic and ergogenic i.e., performance enhancing use of drugs is blurred at present and
poses difficult questions for the controlling bodies of anti doping practice and for sports doctors.
The anti doping rules often
lead to complicated and costly administrative and medical follow up to ascertain whether drugs
taken by athletes are legitimate therapeutic agents or illicit. Furthermore, legalization of doping,
we believe, would encourage more sensible, informed use of drugs in amateur sport, leading to
an overall decline in the rate of health problems associated with doping. Finally, by allowing
medically supervised doping, the drugs used could be assessed for a clearer view of what is
dangerous and what is not... Acknowledging the importance of rules in sports, which might
include the prohibition of doping, is, in itself, not problematic. However, a problem arises when
the application of these rules is beset with diminishing returns: escalating costs and questionable

The beautiful woman with magic powers and lively songs that are recognizably Cinderella, was
never included in the original tale. Cinderella plants a tree by her mother s grave and prays
under it every day (Triska). When the time comes for the festival, which last three nights,
Cinderella finds her dresses under this tree (Grimm, 83, 84). The splendid glass slippers that are
known with Cinderella, are another adaptation that was made after the original story was first
written by the Grimm Brothers. Before the festival the birds [in the tree] threw...slippers
embroidered with silk and silver (Grimm, 83). After Cinderella loses her slipper the last night of
the festival, the prince goes to her house and asks for the stepsisters to try on the slipper that he
has. When the first sister tries on the slipper her toes will not fit into the slipper. Her mother tells
her Cut the toe off; when you are Queen you will have no more need to go on foot. (Grimm, 85).
When the second sister tries on the slipper after the prince finds out that she cut off her toes, her
heel will not fit into the slipper. The stepmother tells the second daughter, Cut off a bit of your
heel; when you are Queen you will have no more need to go on foot. (Grimm, 85). After each of
the sisters tricks the prince, small birds tell the prince that he is carrying the wrong girl on his
horse; they affirm to him the he is carrying his princess when Cinderella is finally able to wear
her lost slipper (Grimm, 86). Once Cinderella and the prince are together and are getting married,

The psychodynamic approach is predicated on a struggle between conscious and unconscious
forces. As with anything in life forces are always at battle affecting our psyche, development, and
mental health. Erik Erikson s Psychosocial Development theory outlines how environmental forces
can either foster a healthy development or cause maladaptive behaviors and development.
Everyone has either seen or heard the awful stories of children being mistreated to the point it
hinders proper development, and his theory helps to explain how to properly ensure a child,
adolescent, or even adult has a healthy chance at life. The theory has eight stages that span from
infancy to death. The importance of which is Erikson may have been the first and... Show more

To preface, if a person doesn t successfully reconcile the conflicting sociocultural forces in the
stage they re in at the moment does not means there is no hope for the future development for
that person; it simply means not mastering that stage can cause future issues to arise from what
each stage represents. For example a child may have the best environment possible and go
through each early stage with success and then in early adulthood problems may arise that cause
them to then not master the stage there at. Does this mean that person is doomed? No, there is
always ample time and opportunity to access the psychosocial crisis at hand and either seek help
for problems presented or educate themselves as to the proper steps to assure that the next stage
they reconcile the forces at hand. Also, mastery of a stage is not dependent on whether a person
can move forward in life, but it may damper the timeline and cause any number of problems: from
mental health issues, inferiority complexes, guilt, or at worse not being able to face death with
open arms and understanding. Erikson was a Neo Freudian and was taught by Anna Freud,

27. Armstrong Vs Descartes Essay
Armstrong makes it clear in his paper, that the mind can best be explained by modern science. He
states, at present the drift of scientific thought is clearly set towards the physico chemical
hypothesis. And we have nothing better to go on than the present (Armstrong 280). This states that
he strongly believes that the mindis unified as a functional system and the facts of science can best
show what the mind really is. He then goes on to inform us, it is only as a result of scientific
investigation that we ever seem to reach an intellectual consensus about controversial matters
(Armstrong 280). He holds the idea that only through science and solid theory, will the people all

One major difference between their thoughts on the mind would be that Descartes believes that
the mind is a non physical cause while Armstrong believes that it is a physical cause. This
difference may seem small when you compare it to the two philosophers similarities, but it can
cause much debate. Descartes states in his writing of Meditation I, I will obstinately concentrate
on this meditation and will thus ensure by mental resolution that, if I do not really have the
ability to know the truth, I will at least withhold assent from what is false and from what a
deceiver may try to put over on me (Descartes 159). Descartes cannot be certain that we are not
dreaming nor all victims of an all powerful deceiver. These two philosophers do not agree on
whether or not the mind is a physical cause, but they do both that other minds are knowable in
an indirect manner. I understand the argument of both philosophers, but I agree more with the
understanding that our mind is a physical cause. I am more of a scientific and facts person so the
idea that we are being deceived by someone and we do not realize it really does not make sense
to me. We do understand the fact that we do not know everything and I firmly believe that we
never will. Theory is called theory for a reason and not fact because it has not been proven. We

28. Inequality In The Golden City
Social Inequality of the Golden City The Golden Gate Bridge takes a curious traveler across the
San Francisco Bay area into a marvelous journey towards a technologically innovative city of San
Francisco. The city of San Francisco has forever been a national symbol of coveted opportunity,
cultural disapprobation, technological blossoming and, frankly, economic inequality. In the past,
countless attempts were made by multiple scholars to identify the sources of San Francisco s
social inequality. Statisticians compiled large tomes of data, while Sociologists wrote unending
arrays of books; all in efforts to understand the basis of social inequality in the Golden City. For
those reasons, this essay will not explore the sources of San Francisco s inequality. On the contrary,
this essay will answer a fundamental question of why the social inequality in San Francisco is
becoming more profound and refuses to cease. Hence, answering this question can only be done by
partitioning the image of social inequality into several distinct branches; historical nuances of San
Francisco, political values in San Francisco, and economic origin within San Francisco.
Surprisingly, all three branches diverge in context, but their individual analysis releases import
artifacts describing how the greatest city of the South continues to divide its citizens economically.
Historically, the San Francisco area was inhabited by humans for more than ten thousand years.

1.The existence of services for students with milder levels of impairment is a relatively recent
occurrence. Why do you think this is so? The right of entry to education resources is more than
uncomplicated admission to a college. The right to use means to provide students with the
devices they will need to be victorious in higher learning. Students with a recognized disability
ought to be no omission. In reality, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the
Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, ensure that all qualified persons have equal access to
education regardless of the presence of any disability. Objective replacement, class waivers, and
revision of classroom management, testing and course necessities are all illustrations of
behavior to supply access for the learner with a disability. A break down to the creation of such
practical adjustments can place schools in breach of federal and state statutes, ensuing expensive
fines. 2.(a) Define the terms disability and handicap. (b) How do these two terms differ? Why is
that difference important to you as a future teacher? A disability is the source of a handicap. In
support of this, case in point, the condition of a person s disability that they have put a stop to
them from being able to move about their legs, it may consequence handicap their driving abilities.

33. Dupot Pipeline Tragedy
The horrible tragedy at the DuPont Chemical Plant in La Porte, Texas, which ended in four
innocent people losing their lives, began roughly 5 days prior to the accident. It was November 10,
2014, when a reactor in the plants Lannate unit, an insecticide DuPont produces for many
agricultural purposes, went down for an unscheduled maintenance. Lannate is produced by reacting
toxic methyl mercaptan with other chemicals. Two days later on November 12th, after all the up
keep was taken care of on the reactor, they tried to start it up again. They were unsuccessful in
starting up the reactor, and further investigation revealed a slurry blocking any passage through the
pipelines which lead to the reactor. However, slurries were a very common thing during shutdowns.
They form when methyl mercaptan reacts with other stagnate chemicals in the pipeline, forming a
blockage. To clear this slurry, operators began pumping hot water through the piping to try and
break it up. By noon on November 13th, operators deemed they had cleared the slurry. During the
hot water pumping, a valve was accidentally left opened, which allowed roughly 2,000 pounds of

First Restatement
Under the First Restatement, a person can acquire a domicile of choice if there is a concurrence of
an intent to make that state home, and a physical presence in a dwelling there. These two elements
must be aligned for at least a moment.

A person does not have to intend to remain the state forever, all that is required is an intent to make

37. Compatibility of Free Will in The Tenseless Theory of Time...
, The debate between free will and fatalism has existed since the conceptualization of time. On one
hand, in everyday life, time flows in a uniform fashion. People experience time in which there is a
past, present, and a future. Yet, physicists and philosophers see time as something completely
different. In fact, they see timeas an illusion. Called the tenseless theory of time, time does not flow
but this theory views time as a fourth dimension where all past, present, and futureevents are equal
(Callender Edney, 2004). Essentially, this theory proposes that there is no passage of time and no
becoming of future events. As a result, one can view this theory as a block universein which every

Thus, if fatalism is about the penultimate outcome, then free will is the process about decision
making that leads up to the final outcome. Not only does free will exist, it can also be viewed as
compatible with the tenseless theory of time as well. Firstly, fatalism alludes to the idea that
what happened was always going to happen. Fatalism is the view in which it implies there are no
alternate possibilities. The tenseless theory of time is committed to this belief. Yet, this
assumption is still ambiguous. The brain and especially the mind is complex. Experiments done
in the field of neuroscience have tried to resolve this particular question. Can it be shown that
what will happen has already been pre determined in the mind? One experiment, conducted by
Benjamin Libet (1983), tried to answer this question. In the experiment, he would ask each
participant to sit at a desk in front of a timer. He would put electrodes onto the scalp and ask the
participant to carry out a motor activity, such as a flick of the wrist. He would also ask the
participant to note the position of the timer when the participant felt that they were urged to do the
activity. Libet found there was a 200 millisecond delay, on average, between

Merton believed that communalism, universalism, disinterestedness, and organized skepticism
should be the standards that produce good scientific evidence. Communalism is the idea is that all
theories should be commonly owned by all scientists and the original discoverer should trade the
theory for fame and recognition. Communalism is the thinking that a discovery should not be an
individual s but rather the discovery and its products should be shared among the scientific
community. Universalism is the idea that all scientific claims should not be judged based upon the
discoverer s race, class, gender, religion, or nationality, etc. This idea omits favoritism and
discrimination and produces an impartial platform for all scientists and their findings.
Disinterestedness is the notion that good scientists must act unselfish when judging or creating a
new theory. This thought is necessary because there would be too much bias within the theory if
the scientist acted in a selfish manner, such as choosing only data that suspiciously match with one
s hypotheses. Finally, organized skepticism is the opinion that good scientists must test and
scrutinize thoroughly new theories before they become accepted by the scientific community.
These scientific norms sieve out the imperfections of theories to bring forth the most suitable for
the community. Let us use Aristarchus heliocentric theory as an example to understand the effects

42. An Accidental Man Made Disaster
A disaster is a highly disruptive event that causes suffering, hardship, injury, and even death
(Anderson McFarlane, 2015). A disaster can cause interruptions in businesses, and can cause
partial or total destruction to infrastructure, such as homes or hospitals (Anderson McFarlane,
2015). A disaster can cause downed power lines, loss of transportation, loss of food, and
sanitation problems. Disasters are caused by naturally occurring events or man made events.
Examples of naturally occurring disasters are earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, and tornadoes.
Man made disasters are accidental, unintentional, or deliberately caused (Anderson McFarlane,
2015). An accidental man made disaster example would be a toxic spill, or a nuclear power
plant event. A deliberately caused man made disaster would be a terrorist attack, school
violence, or a bombing. Certain types of natural disasters are more likely to occur in certain
areas than others. For instance, areas along the coastline are more likely to experience a
hurricane than areas more inland. Every place one can live is prone to having a natural disaster
occur. Also, a man made disaster can happen anywhere; no place is safe from the threat of
terrorism. In my community of Mt. Lebanon, the biggest natural disaster that has happened was
flooding. About fifteen years ago, Mt. Lebanon had a terroristic attack. The terroristic attack was a
deliberate man made disaster. A man went on a racially motivated crime spree, killing five

43. Moral Judgement And Crime Dram An Integrated Theory Of...
A vast majority of researchers believe there is too much violence portrayed through media such
as television, movies, and video games. This violent content is also perceived as harmful and is
having a negative effect on those who consistently view it, especially our youth. Therefore,
rating systems and content blocking devices have been designed to warn viewers of graphic
content or to place inappropriate out of reach for those not suited to view it. Yet, if there is so
much concern circulating violent media, why is it that companies continue to create such content
and push the envelope? It s similar to the concept of junk food, it s bad for you but people love
to eat it; violent content is bad for the viewer but a majority of viewers are attracted to violent
media. It s not easy to say why people are attracted to violent content, it could be for various
reason, including social norms and wanting what you can t have. No matter the reason, marketers
and companies have found ways to make violenceappeal to all markets, ultimately giving people
what they desire .
The study, Moral Judgement and Crime Drama: An Integrated Theory of Enjoyment, looks at the
connections behind violent media and the enjoyment people receive from it. More specifically
researchers, Raney and Bryant, want to find the connections between affective and cognitive
response in people while they view violent content. They describe affective processing as being
able to have empathy towards the victim and

44. Analysis Of Mother Tongue By Amy Tan
What does it feel like to be raised in an immigrant family? In the essay Mother tongue by Amy Tan,
the author describes how her mother s English influences her in her career and life that the mother
tongue does not limit her as a writer, but shaped her and her perception on life instead. And her
attitude to her mother s English changes from the initial embarrassmentto the final appreciation. Tan
s attitude towards her mother s English begins with embarrassment and humiliation. Growing up in
an immigrant family which speaks imperfect English, Tan witnesses many discriminations that
her mother has encountered in department stores or at banks, those experiences help to shape
Tan s opinion to her mother s English. For example, Tan states that [she] was ashamed of [her
mother s] English. [She] believed that [her mother s] English reflected the quality of what [her]
mother had to say (508). In young Amy s opinion, her mother s expressions and thoughts are
broken and imperfect like the way she speaks, and she believes that linguistic expression is
linked to a person s intelligence. As a result, she was ashamed of her mother in public because of
her fractured English. Besides, Tan recalls another incident of her pretending to be her mother to
talk to a stockbroker. Tan s mother was using broken English to give Tan instructions on how to
talk on the phone. She describes that her mother said, So mad he lied to me, losing me money ( Tan
508). The author uses

45. The Theme Of Destructive Love Within Relationships,...
Destructive love The theme of destructive love within relationships in shakespeare s Macbeth and
Bronte s Wuthering Heights are presented through sexism, jealousy, and betrayal. This three factors
are the main causes of broken relationships and arguments between the partners. A good example
would be the stories of Shakespeare s Macbethand Wuthering Heights. Sexism, jealousy, and
betrayal can also lead to death in a destructive love. Love can be defined as an attraction of feelings,
states, and attitudes that ranges from interpersonal affection to pleasure.

The most important thing in any relationship is having confidence in yourself.
If there s confidence in a relationship and believe in it, then there won t be no need for any
games to be played. Men can gain control in a relationship by speaking up and setting clear
boundaries. They have always been known to be the braves and courageous in those old time
stories that everyone has read about at some point in their lifetime. A good example would be
Shakespeare s Macbeth, macbeth is the main character in the story and he is known to fight for
his kingdom and people, but there s only one problem, he doesn t have any control over his
marriage. It s normal for the power dynamic to shift in a relationship. Men are also known to wear
the pants in the relationship.( In social life, socializing should be part of the female and male
gender ) David Galef, Wuthering Heights pg.243
Respect is the most important key in a relationship for it to be successful. Both partners should be
respectful to each other, but men should take the lead on it because mostly everyone in the family
will look up to them. Women love to be treated with respect and get taken care of by their husbands.
Respect is basically the nicer way for men to gain control in their relationship. They should
understand, comprehend, trust and respect their partner s personal

At one end of the spectrum, I have observed patients suffering from malnutrition, diarrheal diseases,
and most of the poverty related medical conditions. I also had to deal with the aftermath of using
herbs and traditional healers. On some occasions, I had to depend on my clinical skills and
judgment to diagnose diseases, when no diagnostic equipment was available. On contrary, I became
competent in managing cardiac and pulmonary emergencies when I worked in a teaching hospital. I
also learned many procedures, including pleural aspiration and assisted in chest tube insertion. In
addition to that observed some advanced medical technologies, for example, Ultrasound guided
bronchial biopsy. This merge between First and Third World medicine, coupled with my exposure
to patients from different socioeconomic status and diverse cultural backgrounds, has enabled me
to adjust easily to any situations, and manage patients from changing populations. It has also given

48. Oven Persuasive Essay
Before you bake anything, your oven needs to be heated to its proper temperature. It takes only a
few seconds to turn on your oven, but it takes several minutes for it to reach the right temperature.
Turning on your oven and letting it heat up to the right temperature is known as preheating. Most
recipes require you to turn your oven on first, before starting to cook.
First you should consider preheating your oven before starting your recipe. Electrical ovens often
need 10 to 15 minutes before they reach the proper temperature. This is usually enough time for
you to prepare your recipe. If it takes more than 15 minutes in which to prepare the food, then
consider starting the oven half way through the prepping process.
Unless you store items ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most oven racks usually are set in the middle of the oven, but in some cases, the dish that you are
baking will need to be placed higher or lower in the oven. Refer to the recipe, and if necessary,
take out the oven rack and set it to the right level.
Note that items such as cakes, cookies, and cupcakes should be placed in the middle rack, unless
the recipe states otherwise.
Turn on the oven and set it to the right temperature. To get the right temperature, you will need to
refer to your recipe. The oven temperature is usually at the very beginning of the recipe, its the very
first step.
Wait for the oven to reach the desired temp. Most ovens have a setting that lets you either see the
current temperature or it will beep when ready. Some ovens have a little light that turns on when it
is the right temperature. This light is usually next to the oven temperature dial.
Consider using an oven thermometer. in some cases the temperature inside the oven is not very
accurate and does not actually match the temperature on the dial. An oven thermometer, which is
usually placed inside the oven, will tell you the actual temperature. Refer to this thermometer
instead of waiting for the indicator light to go on or for when the oven to beep.
Place your food in the oven and let it bake according to the recipe. Make sure that the door is
firmly closed, unless the recipe states otherwise. Opening and closing the door while baking will
cause the internal heat to escape, which may result in longer baking

49. Evaluate Bowlbys Theory On Attachment And The Learning...
In the part of the essay I will describe and evaluate Bowlbys theory of Attachment and the learning
theory of Attachment. I will show strengths and weaknesses in both theories. I will use a collection
of source literature to back up and correlate this information.
Attachment, according to Emde (1982) is a deep and enduring emotional bond that connects one
person to another, across time and space. John Bowlby, and Evolutionist, believed that attachment
was pre programmed. In order for us to survive as a species, we needed to attach to a significant
other; that its innate in us to single out a few specific individuals around us and attach to them, an
so providing a survival advantage. Bowlby rationalised that the attachment between a mother and
infant was unlike any other bond; very unlike the bond an infant would develop with another
human. He coined it Monotrophy . Bowlby believed that babes had have built in social releasers
that help form attachment, for example, crying and smiling. These would stimulate responses in
caregivers. Bowlby also suggested that the infant would form only one primary attachment, and that
this attachment would act as a secure base for exploring the world. This theory was also backed up
by Mary Ainsworth The Strange Situation , Eysenck (2000). Another conclusion in Bowlbys
attachment theory was that there was a sensitive period; a period were imprinting was important.
This would affect attachment and have lifelong consequences. He
