Consent For Marriage By Mr. Darcy
Willingness to consent for marriage with a loved one is a logical and emotional decision. In order
to sensibly bring two people together, domestic ideology encompasses genuine emotional interest.
During the analyzed passage, Mr. Darcy is proposing to Elizabeth for the second time. This
signifies personal growth within Mr.Darcy as he lets go of prejudice and doesn t let his pride get
the best of him. Rather than continuously critiquing each other, they allow emotion to influence
their thoughts. Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth realize that they re not always initially correct, which
signifies a release of pride. The proposal demonstrates the joy that Mr. Darcy feels and conveys that
the combination of status and contract can create these immense amounts of happiness within a
person. The characteristics of Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy combine within himself, as well as within
his marriagedue to the marrying of a genteel. The differences in the characteristics between Mr.
Darcy and Elizabeth demonstrate that lower classes can influence upper classes, and that each
have beneficial qualities. Mr. Darcy exuberates this change as he is reluctant that she ll say yes,
unlike the first time that he proposed. He does not expect a yes simply because of status or due
to her being a woman. He values the opinion of someone who is lower class, and he feels it is
morally correct to show that he wants to be a gentleman. Mr. Darcy s second marriage proposal
signals the triumph of domestic ideology by

We Must Learn from the Holocaust
The holocaust is not only humanities darkest hour, but also one of the most educational experiences
that ever occurred. Failure is not something good, but you should always learn from it. This also
applies to the holocaust. The thing we should have known before the holocaust was that before
punishing someone, think of the choice they did or didn t have in the matter. The Germans failed to
do this when they brutally persecuted the jews. The people caught in the middle didn t realize that
the Germans were wrong in their persecution, and the jews actually forgave the children of the
holocaustbecause they were raised to only know one thing and didn t know that they had a choice.
The Germans were wrong in their persecution of the jews for many reasons. They didn t think
about why they were persecuting jews, who sometimes were only persecuted because someone in
their family was a jew. The Germans didn t even think about why they were taking land from other
countries. People believed that Hitler would honor his agreement not to take land from France, but
He said the same thing about Polandsix months ago (page 43). This quote refrences an argument
between Alfons and his mother in the book Parrallell journeys. Alfons was a young kid who was
loyal to hitler while many of his family memebers were not. Alfons believed Hitler s every word,
but his family could see the lies that he said. Alfons was not the only one to have blind leadership
in Htiler. There were many who believed his

Integrating New Technology Into The Classroom
Schools are constantly looking for an edge that will help their students to succeed. One way that
schools accomplish this difficult task is by integrating new technology into the classroom. Often
times, the decision on which technology to incorporate is driven by trends rather than research.
Schools are always in the process of upgrading their technology, often looking at what everyone
else is purchasing and then following in their footsteps. Currently, one piece of hardware that many
school districts are investing money in is interactive whiteboards. These boards allow the teacher to
easily integrate technology into their classroom. With all of the money being spent on interactive
white boards, are they really an effective tool?... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are many advantages that a student who learns in a classroom with an interactive whiteboard
will experience. Students in the class enjoy learning while using the board because it increases their
enjoyment and motivation in the lesson. Students today have grown up with technology and enjoy
being a part of it, whether it is watching it or interacting with it. Children of the 21st century have
been part of a multi media world from birth, and as a result they are comfortable with such
technologies and this experience can be exploited in the learning environment. (Hall Higgins, 2005,
p. 106) Students are also more willing to participate in class when there is an interactive white
board. One reason for this is that students enjoy touching the board and manipulating objects. Most
students are familiar with technology and find some of the activities on the board similar to video
games that they are accustom to playing. Students who are at the board have the opportunity to
interact with concepts being taught and this interaction, can lead to classroom discussion. Students
want to be apart of what they are learning and feel that their thoughts are valued, one way for this to
happen is through open classroom discussion. When a student feels as if they have an opinion of
what is being learned instead of just being handed the information from the teacher, they experience
an increase in motivation in their learning process.

Inferential and Descriptive Statistics
Before we continue the discussion about the basic descriptive data elements that are needed to
answer the question I previously posed, it is important to understand what we mean by descriptive
statistics. Descriptive statistics describe the features of the data collected. In other words,
descriptive statisticsdescribe what the data looks like, but it does not tell you why or how data
elements interact or influence one another. Descriptive statistics provide a defender with
summaries about the data collected and these summaries may be either quantitative or visual.
Quantitative descriptive statistics are the sum of data points that are usually reported as total
numbers or averages in a report. For example, defender offices can use descriptive statistics to
determine the total of open felony cases per attorney in one year or say that on average they had
x number of open cases in the last two years. These are considered to be summaries of caseloads
that describe the data collected but it does not tell you if a certain variable (number of cases
opened in this example) has an influence (or is correlated) with the final outcome of a case.
When we say that a variable is correlated we mean that the knowledge of a certain variable
(caseload numbers) can allow you to consistently predict the action of another (final dispositional
outcomes). For example, if you mix two hydrogen and one oxygen (H20), you get water. We know
that every time you have the interaction of these

Advantages Of Olefins
Olefins are usually produced in large quantities in the petrochemical industry. The separation of
olefins from paraffins is of primary importance to the chemical industry. Olefin/paraffin mixture is
difficult to separate due to their similar physical and chemical properties such as molecular sizes
and boiling point. The most common method for olefin/paraffin separation in the industry is the
distillationprocess, commonly known as cryogenic distillation which is considered as one of the
most energy intensive processes in the oil and gas industry [1]. Due to the high costs and energy
consuming associated with this distillation an alternative methods need to be used.
Silver salts have been used as a separation facilitator since 1944. In this early work, an aqueous
solution of the silver salt AgNO3 at 50 wt% was used in the absorption and extraction of light
olefins from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition, the formed complex is chemically reversible, and therefore easy to break with a
relatively small amount of energy. The advantage of this operation is the lower energy
requirement for the separation as the break of the complex can be done by using simple
engineering operations, such as heating or de pressurization [4, 5]. Hollow fiber membrane
contactors have been considered as an alternative mean for gas/ liquid separation which have many
advantages over conventional direct gas/ liquid techniques such as spray towers and packed/tray
columns [6]. In this process, two phases gas phase and an absorbent solvent come into direct contact
for mass transfer without the dispersion of one phase into the other due to the presence of the

Who Is Jean Valjean s Death
The Resurrection of Jean Valjean In 1862, author Victor Hugo published what is viewed today as
one of the most interesting and phenomenal historic fictional books, Les Miserables. The epic
novel eventually inspired many other writers and screenwriters to create the musical and movie
versions. There are many themes present in the Les Miserables works of art, including the subject
matter of redemption. For example, in Les Miserables, author Victor Hughes uses Jean Valjean
and
his evolution from having a terrible childhood to becoming a good hearted man to prove that
anyone can become a good person no matter how unfortunate their life is. Jean Valjean suffered a
serious traumatic childhood that eventually caused him to have a negative attitude... Show more

In our history class we have learned about the different...
In our history class we have learned about the different mythological beliefs of many groups
including Christianity, Roman, Greek and Germanic. When faced with this paper I chose to
discuss a particular figure in Germanic or what is more commonly known as Norse mythology.
The god I selected was Heimdall who was the Norse go of light and also the Guardian of Asgard.
Like many other gods within Norse mythologyHeimdallwas also considered to be a half son of
Odin however his creation wasn t as simple as most. Many stories state Heimdall had nine
different mothers; Gjalp, Greip, Eistla, Eyrgjafa, Ulfrun, Angeyja, Imdr, Atla and Jarnsaxa who
were all maiden sisters. One day while Odin was walking along the seashore he saw the nine

When Heimdall wasn t on watch at the Bifrost gate he was never far away and was always on
alert. No one is sure when Heimdall actually had any down time or breaks but he did have his
own hall. His palace was called Himinbjörg or the Heavens castle and it was located at the top
of the Bifrost Bridge, which means he was always within seeing distance. Heimdall was one of
the Norse gods that were associated with having mighty swords. Along with his sword Heimdall
wore pure white armor which matched his unrivaled handsomeness and he had his mighty horn
Gjallar that was used when he spotted the enemies of Asgard. The last part of Heimdall s
appearance was his magnificent steed Gull Top which had a golden mane.
Heimdall, being the protector of Bifrost, was responsible for any kind of enemies that tried to
enter Asgard. However Heimdall most hated adversary was none other than the adopted son of
Odin, the half giant Loki. Loki was the God of mischief and was always creating schemes to claim
the throne of Asgard. Heimdall, however being very perceptive always was able to see through
Loki evil plots. An example of this is when Loki tries to steal Freya s golden necklace in the dead
of night and Heimdall, being the only one who was awaked by the sly Loki, stops Loki s plot. The
final example of Heimdall s constant conflict with Loki was on the Day of Ragnorök where
Heimdall uses his Gjallar to

Essay about Iran Engagement Policy Option
Thirty four years ago, the Islamic Revolution changed not only the leadership of Iran but brought a
complex and strained relationships with the United States. The focus of this paper is an analysis on
an Iranian engagement policy option outlined in the CSIS Report The Gulf Kaleidoscope:
Reflections on the Iranian Challenge . The international relations theory of liberalism is applied
using the tenets of economic interdependence and democratic transparency.
For three decades, exchanges between the United States and Iranian diplomats have been tactical,
not strategic. There are various policy options that can be utilized effectively and strategically to

The essential features of an engagement policy option are a robust diplomatic strategy, reassessing
economic sanctions, and Iranian international relations. The end state is an engagement strategy
that prevents Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.
A diplomatic strategy is the best option in engaging Iran but it will require patience and a long term
commitment. The impact to Iran over the past 34 years is a zcountry that is isolated from not only
the Middle East but also the international community. Only through a bilateral diplomatic effort will
the United States convince Iran to change its foreign policy. The focus of the bilateral discussions
is Iran s nuclear program and the right to enrich uranium and an easing of the crippling sanctions on
the Iranian economy. There is a belief Iran is amiable to discussing a inherent right to enrichment
uranium as outlined in the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, while seeking relief from the mandated
United States and United Nations sanctions.
Kenneth Waltz s article Why Iran Should Get the Bomb: Nuclear Balancing Would Mean Stability ,
outlines why punishing a state through economic sanctions does not inexorably derail its nuclear
program. The Sanctions placed against Iran have been largely successful for the United States,
whereas our diplomatic strategy has not been as successful. In some form or fashion each United

The Theme Of Anger In Literature
Man is the slave of his emotions. These emotions may be positive or negative . Anger is one of
these emotions. According to an online article titled How to recognize and deal with anger Anger is
a negative feeling state that is typically associated with hostile thoughts, physiological arousal and
maladaptive behaviors to hostile thought . Angerresults from restriction imposed against man s
wishes. Man s life can be changed completely by anger; when anger takes control of anyone, he
becomes villain, transgressive and irrational. Anger cotains three elements : physical reaction, the
cognitive experience of anger and the behavior or the way man shows his anger. Anger is a double
aged weapon ; it can motivate the person to find solutions... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Patriotism In The United States
What is patriotism? Patriotism is the love that people feel for their country. A few examples of
patriotism are: 1. When we stand up for the pledge in the mornings. 2. When we stand up for the
National Anthem . Those are both examples of patriotism. America is a free country, so people
should be able to practice patriotismif they want to, but if they don t want to they shouldn t have to.
If someone wants to express them and their country they should be patriotic. But if they would
much rather not say anything they shouldn t have to. I do personally believe they should at least
stand during the pledge and put their hand on their heart. They don t necessarily have to say the
pledge but they do need to be the least disrespectful by

Analysis Of The Movie The Manchurian Candidate
On the surface, the movie The Manchurian Candidate presents a parallel universe inspired by the
paranoid right wing illusions of people who believed in the Red Scare. The film itself crosses
over into several different dramas: war film, political satire, paranoid science fiction, black comedy,
suspenseful intrigue, and horror. The notion that the Russian and Chinese Communists were
working together to take over the U.S. by infiltrating them was a common idea. Because of the
communist brainwashing when captured, Raymond Shaw s lack of agency allows him to be
controlled by outside influences in order to infiltrate the United States. The paranoia and fear of
losing control to the communists during the Red Scare is paralleled in the film to a fear of the
power that women had over men. The relationship that Raymond Shaw has with the women in his
life is in complete opposition of the normal relationships men had with women during the Cold War
. This opposition is analogous throughout the entire movie, especially in the dream sequence and in
relation to Eleanor Shaw. Distorted representations of both men and women, which are not of the
customary gender roles during this time, contribute to the formation of a pubic spectacle.
The relationship between Eleanor and Raymond Shaw is not detailed in the movie, however her
explicit control over him is evident. The Jocasta complex presented in the novel creates a conflict
for the remainder of Raymond s life. His mother controls Raymond

The Uniqueness And Complexity Of David Foster Wallace s...
The uniqueness and complexity of David Foster Wallace s writing earned him a spot among the
most influential contemporary authors of his generation. He is most well known for his immense,
thousand page novel Infinite Jest, published in 1996, which grabbed the attention of readers
worldwide (Ericson). In addition, throughout his career, he published several other novels, short
stories, and nonfiction articles. His most popular works include The Broom of the System, Girl
with Curious Hair, Consider the Lobster and Other Essays, and The Pale King (Ericson). Wallace is
known for the stylistic devices of footnotes, endnotes, abbreviations, and specialized jargon, and the
literary techniques of metafiction, hyperreality, irony, and fragmentation (Ericson). Thematically,
he focused on finding truth in a society where pop culture, entertainment, and technology have
redefined humanity (Ericson). Although Wallace s writing appears during the postmodern era,
critics disagree over whether his work fits with this movement. Many writers refer to Wallace as
reviving or re defining postmodernism, calling him a post postmodernist; however, this
categorization is ambiguous. While elements of David Foster Wallaces writing warrant analysis
beneath an array of literary movements, a posthumanist lens is more appropriately suited to
understand the larger theme across his work. Wallace s short storyEverything is Green helps to

Perils Of Fear
They say there is no eternal allies or enemies, just eternal goals. When the USSR and US were

when the Germans was defeated in 1944, and both sides switched from allies to enemies. This
goes to show you that true alliances and enemies, aren t always easy to see at first glance.Goals
can bring us together or tear us apart. In The Lord of the Rings novels, Gollum works with
Frodo and Sam, not because of similar goals, but because they needed each other to complete
their own goals. So it wasn t a surprise when Gollum betrayed Frodo and Sam to steal the ring.

When the Indian government feared a revolution, Scarry says the right to assembly as well as
India s other fundamental rights had been suspended as of midnight, June 25, 1975. (Scarry xiii)

The children of India used to walk in croq, or in lines of two, chatting and laughing together on

Use Of Satire In A Modest Proposal By Jonathan Swift
The dictionary definition of satire is the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose
and criticize people s stupidity or vices. Particularly, in the context of contemporary politics or
other topical issues. If one were to examine contemporary culture today they would notice that it is
becoming more and more satirized. One could argue this by turning on any program and listening
for hidden messages alluding to some cause or political reference. Satireappears in many forms and
may be used to shock the reader or targets into changing their behavior.
For instance, in Jonathan Swift s A Modest Proposal he highlighted the poor conditions in Ireland.
Additionally he talked about the English and Irish people s poor approaches ... Show more content

they also want to control everything.
In the Following section the reader meets the giants of Brobdingnag, and the situation is

Which he feels makes him insignificant to everyone else. In this part of the book by making
Gulliver smaller the reader is now able to see how disgusting and self righteous man is. This is
seen as Gulliver observes the Brobdingnagians.
The Queen took up at one mouthful as much as a dozen English farmers could eat at a meal which
to me was for some time a very nauseous sight (Swift 103).
Swift not only showed how self righteous humans can be, but also judgemental. When the king of
the Brobdingnagians observed Gulliver he concluded that
You have clearly proved that ignorance, idleness, and vice may be sometimes the only ingredient

First of all, at the District 12 reaping, a young woman from the Seam volunteered out of love for

their inevitable demise. The Games was Katniss only chance to prove her worthiness to the
world, and herself. She fought for her life for days, and even made a few alliances, such as Rue
and Peeta. Rue was a young girl from District 11, who had been watching Katniss since training.
Rue reminded Katniss of her sister, Prim, which made Katniss trust Rue easily. Soon after their
alliance formed, Rue was killed by a tribute from District 1, Marvel. He ended up being the first
tribute Katniss killed in cold blood, yet she managed to stay true to her heart but giving Rue a

Katniss found Peeta down by the stream. Katniss nurtured him back to health and they then teamed

Does Society Have Sovereignty Over The Individual In A...
The study of political theory consists of the examination and analysis of topics central to
governance such as justice, liberty, individual and property rights, what makes a legitimate
government, and the most just and effective form of government. But to me, the most important
and commonly discussed issue explored by the political theorists we have studied this semester is
to what extent does a just society have sovereignty over the individual, or what is society s right
over the individual in a just state. The answer to this question varies greatly between the political
philosophers we have studied, but are similar in aspects, and in many cases the historical events
and context of these philosophers lives shaped their beliefs. For my paper... Show more content on

Nozick argued that the only form of a legitimate government was one that is as small as possible
and limits its actions to only concern the protection of life, liberty, property, and contracts. Nozick
argued that people did possess certain natural rights, certain things or actions that can not be done
to another individual, even if that action is socially beneficial; these beliefs are similar to the
ideas of John Locke, that people have certain rights that can never be taken away under any
circumstance. However, one area where Nozick s beliefs come into contrast with John Locke was
that Nozick believed an individual could willingly surrender some of their natural rights. A good
example to help understand the way Nozick felt about natural rights, is to think about a boxing
match: outside of a boxing match, individuals possess a naturally inherent right not to be punched
in the face, but two individuals may, legitimately, voluntarily waive their right to not be punched in
the face to partake in a boxing match and are also granted the right to punch the other individual
volunteer in the face. So Nozick believed that there are certain innate societal restraints that exist to
serve as constraints to keep other individuals in a society from harming

brain when behavioral therapy and medication are given. Maybe with this new information on
the cause of OCD, physicians may be able to treat it easier and with greater success.
Commonality of OCD among the population of the United States does not seem substantial
when compared to other illnesses. About 3.3 million people in the U.S. between the ages of 18
54 have OCD in a given year. (NIMH 2000.) This translates into roughly 2.3 percent of the
population. Studies show that OCD affects women and men about equally. The ratio of men to
women with OCD not being that significant in either direction to give it solely to one gender.
This is unusual because most illnesses tend to favor one gender or the other. Typically OCD
starts in early adolescence, but is written of by parents as abnormal or unusual behavior and the
thought that the child will grow out of it. At least one third of the cases of adult OCD began in
childhood. This shows if caught soon enough and treated OCD might not have been a life long
battle for some clients. In 1990 the U.S. paid out a total of 8.4 million dollars for treatment of
clients with OCD. This was nearly 6 percent of the total mental health bill of 148 billion dollars.

Discuss how the NMC Code (2015) can guide the provision of person centred nursing care. In
this assignment we will be discussing how the Nursing and Midwifery Council NMC (2015)
guides nurses in the direction of good practice. Why we have the code? Who the code is for?
How to implement the code in our daily lives as practitioners. The NMC (2015) is a set of
guidelines which nurses and midwives must adhere to in order to provide the best care possible
to their patients. The NMC (2015) is split into four main sections: 1. Prioritising people 2.
Practise effectively 3. Preserve safety 4. Promote professionalism and trust The NMC code
states that the guidelines were not only set by them themselves but what the general public
expect from nursing healthcare professionals. The NMC code changed its standards and
expectations in February of 2015 as a result of the Francis report (2013) being published and
exposing the appalling conditions of the Staffordshire hospital; the nursing and midwifery
council then decided that it was paramount for the code to be revised so as there was no grey
areas where the health care professionals were unsure of what standard of care they were
expected to uphold and deliver to anyone in their care. The Royal College of Nursing RCN
(2015) would describe person centred care as allowing a person to be equal in their care and to
empower them to make informed choices about their care plans, it would suggest that the service

Before 1964, most Palestinians hoped that Arab states nearby would destroy the state of Israel.
Inspired by Nasser in Egypt, they expected him to lead an Arab army in a campaign to
successfully destroy Israeli power. However, time passed, and little progress was made, leading to
many Palestinians becoming disillusioned with the help they received from the Arab states that
they were relying on. Instead, they began to set up their own organisations, to defend Palestinian
rights, and to fight against the state of Israel. One of the first of these was called Fatah . Set up in

Palestine should be an Arab state. These views were stated in the Palestinian National Charter, a
document that set out the key principles of the PLO. It was originally written in 1964, but revised
in 1968.
Yet Arafat had many problems. Fatah was the biggest group in the PLO, but there were many
others as well, meaning a very loose structure to the organisation. Many of these groups took a
much harder line than Fatah, and were based in Syria.
Another important policy was that the PLO insisted that Armed Struggle was the best way to
liberate Palestine. Arafat launched a guerrilla war on the Israelis, driven by the success of the
Algerian Nationalists in driving the French from Algeria. But in this case, the Israeli forces were
too strong, and the war failed. With this failure, the PLO decided to launch attacks on Israeli
civilians, and civilian targets, these acts condemned as terrorism. Mainly carried out by splinter
groups of the PLO, the main body did play a part in the attacks. In 1970, 3 airliners were hijacked,
and destroyed in Jordan, gaining massive publicity for the organisation. In 1972, Black
September, a group in the PLO, was responsible for the deaths of 11 Israeli athletes at the Munich

From the data collected it can be concluded glucose and yeast is necessary in the production of ,
which agrees with the equation for glycolysis since glucoseis the sugar that supplies the energy and
yeastis the substance that performs the cycle. The higher concentration of yeast will result in more

Have you ever heard of a killer mosquito? In Alicia Campbell and H. Michael Dreher s article, A

transmission, symptoms, treatment, how to avoid it, and the danger. The article was published in
June of 2002 in Medsburg Nursing Journal, because the virus is growing rapidly throughout
America. The virus first hit United States in New York in 1999, infecting sixty two people. The
authors inform us that it is still a mystery how the virus came to America. One thing is for sure,
mosquitoes carry the virus, and they are responsible for the infections in humans.

In July of 1999, at the Bronx Zoo workers noticed a large number of dead crows around the zoo.
Autopsies showed brain damage and heart damage. Scientists believe that the birds received West
Nile through imported birds to the zoo. It is very common for viruses to originate in sparsely
populated forests in Africa and Amazon rain forests.
The transmission period when a bird is infected takes four to five days to see any signs of the
virus. Once the mosquito receives the virus it takes ten to fifteen days to be able to infect a human
and any other animal. After being bitten, humans see signs of the virus after five to fifteen days.
There are many symptoms, but the most common include fever, headache, body ache, rash, and
swollen lymph glands. Once one notices various symptoms they can get tested to see if they are
infected by the virus through two different types of tests. The victim may take a serum sample that
takes a few days for results. The authors tell us that the better test is through cerebrospinal fluid
which only takes five hours for results.
Once diagnosed, there isn t much treatment for the virus. Usually the victim is hospitalized. Once
hospitalized the victim receives airway management, intravenous fluids, and ventilator support.
Anti herpes virus drugs are often times used to treat the West Nile virus.

Bullying Interventions That Support Exceptional Education...
Violence has increasingly grown in our nation in the last 5 years. It has entered every facet of the
lives of youth, from social media, television, and especially in the school system. One of the
biggest problem that exist in the school system today is bullying. This type of misbehavior can
cause the school climate to be unconducive to learning. Bullyingcan also have a negative effect on
not just the regular student, but the exceptional educationstudent as well. Because of the growing
epidemic (trend) of bullying, it is a need to further research the effects that bullying has on the
special educationstudent. These facts lead to the proposed research topic, Bullying Interventions
that support exceptional education students . The following literature review will attempt to
support the proposed topic.
In the article by Rose, Swearer, Espelage (2012) the authors explained that further research should
be conducted to determine if anti bullying programs effectively impact exceptional education
students or if modifications were needed The authors also argued that bullying not only affects the
regular student, but it possibly puts the special need student at a higher risk. They are at a higher
risk due to physical elements, personal qualities, and school related issues. When students with

To His Coy Mistress is a passionate plea by a young man to his mistress to go to bed with him.
He uses flattery ( an hundred years should go to praise / thine eyes ), fear ( thy beauty shall no
more be found ) and enthusiasm ( Let us roll all our strength, and all / Our sweetness, up into one
ball ) to persuade her to give up her virginity. He is only concerned with moving his relationship on
to the sexual stage and, apart from the pleasure this will bring, he has no thought of its
consequences.
The woman in The Beggar Woman at first seems anything but reluctant to have sex with the
gentleman she meets, but in fact she has a different agenda. She has a baby strapped to her back
and by exploiting the gentleman s lust ( I should be loth / to come so far and disoblige you both )
she is able to transfer it to him. She then leaves him with the child as a lesson in the consequences
of casual sex.
I trust the child to you with all my heart But, ere you get another, ten t amiss To try a year or two
how you ll keep this.
One Flesh is a meditation by a child on her parents who are now too old for sex. They sleep in the
same room but in separate beds and chastity faces them . This seems natural to the daughter (

The Towers Of Babylon Summary
The Towers of Babylon , by Shirley Ye, consists of 4 watercolour and acrylic paintings, as well as
2 relief sculptures. The abstract (meaning, relating to reality, however has been distorted to
appear unreal) works of the series, speak about the dangers of urbanisation, references to the
biblical tower of Babylon as well as the quote, the higher you build, the greater you fall (Edwin
Almeida). This artwork as a series, will be the main focus of this review.
The series mainly comprise of watercolour and acrylic paint (paintings), paper photographs, wood,
metal and human figurines (sculptures). The 4 canvas paintings all display a theme of spaced out
areas, as well as areas that are tightly packed with layered lines/dots of paint. The sculptures
however, are built to appear tall and unstable for the human figurines that are placed standing close
behind one another. In addition, the sculptures consist of angled/protruding photographs of city
environments and metal bird cages. Across the six artworks, the tone and colours contrast through
bright, warm tones, to cold and dark shades, possibly to convey both positive and negative aspects
of urbanisation, and the reasoning (to find better jobs, education, etc) behind urbanisation.
The artist explains the artworks are made to display the dangers of urbanisation and make
references to disasters such as the fallen towers 9/11, Rana Plaza and Grenfell Tower. Shirley does
this in her artworks through symbolic meaning in the

While first starting the book, it was difficult to read because it is written the perspective of how
an autistic child/teen would think, or talk. Once a reader gets passed the initial difference in
writing technique, you learn that kids and people with the autism disorder don t have control to
why they do or don t like things, or have control of some of their actions. After reading this and
comparing it to personal experience of a family member that worked at a local high school with
an autistic student and the similarities and symptoms, it makes it clear that there are different
parts of the spectrum but if someone treats them normal and This book ended with a curiosity of
what was to happen next in Christopher s life. Would his parents eventually get back together and
how would his future lay out. He believes in himself now that he has accomplished all of these
different things that he can do anything. For a person, with a disorder or not but, especially with
any disorder to have that confidence that they can do anything, that is something every parent
could ask for. This book is definitely recommend especially for someone that is curious about
learning more about a young boy with this disorder, and up for a good

  • 2. Consent For Marriage By Mr. Darcy Willingness to consent for marriage with a loved one is a logical and emotional decision. In order to sensibly bring two people together, domestic ideology encompasses genuine emotional interest. During the analyzed passage, Mr. Darcy is proposing to Elizabeth for the second time. This signifies personal growth within Mr.Darcy as he lets go of prejudice and doesn t let his pride get the best of him. Rather than continuously critiquing each other, they allow emotion to influence their thoughts. Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth realize that they re not always initially correct, which signifies a release of pride. The proposal demonstrates the joy that Mr. Darcy feels and conveys that the combination of status and contract can create these immense amounts of happiness within a person. The differences in the characteristics between Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth demonstrate that lower classes can influence upper classes, and that each have beneficial qualities. • 3. We Must Learn from the Holocaust The holocaust is not only humanities darkest hour, but also one of the most educational experiences that ever occurred. Failure is not something good, but you should always learn from it. This also applies to the holocaust. The thing we should have known before the holocaust was that before punishing someone, think of the choice they did or didn t have in the matter. The Germans failed to do this when they brutally persecuted the jews. The people caught in the middle didn t realize that the Germans were wrong in their persecution, and the jews actually forgave the children of the holocaustbecause they were raised to only know one thing and didn t know that they had a choice. The Germans were wrong in their persecution of the jews for many reasons. They didn t think about why they were persecuting jews, who sometimes were only persecuted because someone in their family was a jew. The Germans didn t even think about why they were taking land from other countries. People believed that Hitler would honor his agreement not to take land from France, but He said the same thing about Polandsix months ago (page 43). This quote refrences an argument between Alfons and his mother in the book Parrallell journeys. Alfons was a young kid who was loyal to hitler while many of his family memebers were not. • 4. Integrating New Technology Into The Classroom Schools are constantly looking for an edge that will help their students to succeed. One way that schools accomplish this difficult task is by integrating new technology into the classroom. Often times, the decision on which technology to incorporate is driven by trends rather than research. Schools are always in the process of upgrading their technology, often looking at what everyone else is purchasing and then following in their footsteps. Currently, one piece of hardware that many school districts are investing money in is interactive whiteboards. These boards allow the teacher to easily integrate technology into their classroom. With all of the money being spent on interactive white boards, are they really an effective tool?... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are many advantages that a student who learns in a classroom with an interactive whiteboard will experience. Students in the class enjoy learning while using the board because it increases their enjoyment and motivation in the lesson. Students today have grown up with technology and enjoy being a part of it, whether it is watching it or interacting with it. Children of the 21st century have been part of a multi media world from birth, and as a result they are comfortable with such technologies and this experience can be exploited in the learning environment. (Hall Higgins, 2005, p. 106) Students are also more willing to participate in class when there is an interactive white board. One reason for this is that students enjoy touching the board and manipulating objects. Most students are familiar with technology and find some of the activities on the board similar to video games that they are accustom to playing. Students who are at the board have the opportunity to interact with concepts being taught and this interaction, can lead to classroom discussion. Students want to be apart of what they are learning and feel that their thoughts are valued, one way for this to happen is through open classroom discussion. When a student feels as if they have an opinion of what is being learned instead of just being handed the information from the teacher, they experience an increase in motivation in their learning process. ... • 5. Inferential and Descriptive Statistics Before we continue the discussion about the basic descriptive data elements that are needed to answer the question I previously posed, it is important to understand what we mean by descriptive statistics. Descriptive statistics describe the features of the data collected. In other words, descriptive statisticsdescribe what the data looks like, but it does not tell you why or how data elements interact or influence one another. Descriptive statistics provide a defender with summaries about the data collected and these summaries may be either quantitative or visual. Quantitative descriptive statistics are the sum of data points that are usually reported as total numbers or averages in a report. For example, defender offices can use descriptive statistics to determine the total of open felony cases per attorney in one year or say that on average they had x number of open cases in the last two years. These are considered to be summaries of caseloads that describe the data collected but it does not tell you if a certain variable (number of cases opened in this example) has an influence (or is correlated) with the final outcome of a case. When we say that a variable is correlated we mean that the knowledge of a certain variable (caseload numbers) can allow you to consistently predict the action of another (final dispositional outcomes). For example, if you mix two hydrogen and one oxygen (H20), you get water. We know that every time you have the interaction of these ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The separation of olefins from paraffins is of primary importance to the chemical industry. Olefin/paraffin mixture is difficult to separate due to their similar physical and chemical properties such as molecular sizes and boiling point. The most common method for olefin/paraffin separation in the industry is the distillationprocess, commonly known as cryogenic distillation which is considered as one of the most energy intensive processes in the oil and gas industry [1]. Due to the high costs and energy consuming associated with this distillation an alternative methods need to be used. Silver salts have been used as a separation facilitator since 1944. Hollow fiber membrane contactors have been considered as an alternative mean for gas/ liquid separation which have many advantages over conventional direct gas/ liquid techniques such as spray towers and packed/tray columns [6]. The epic novel eventually inspired many other writers and screenwriters to create the musical and movie versions. There are many themes present in the Les Miserables works of art, including the subject matter of redemption. • 16. Analysis Of The Movie The Manchurian Candidate On the surface, the movie The Manchurian Candidate presents a parallel universe inspired by the paranoid right wing illusions of people who believed in the Red Scare. The film itself crosses over into several different dramas: war film, political satire, paranoid science fiction, black comedy, suspenseful intrigue, and horror. The notion that the Russian and Chinese Communists were working together to take over the U.S. by infiltrating them was a common idea. Because of the communist brainwashing when captured, Raymond Shaw s lack of agency allows him to be controlled by outside influences in order to infiltrate the United States. The paranoia and fear of losing control to the communists during the Red Scare is paralleled in the film to a fear of the power that women had over men. The relationship that Raymond Shaw has with the women in his life is in complete opposition of the normal relationships men had with women during the Cold War . This opposition is analogous throughout the entire movie, especially in the dream sequence and in relation to Eleanor Shaw. Distorted representations of both men and women, which are not of the customary gender roles during this time, contribute to the formation of a pubic spectacle. The relationship between Eleanor and Raymond Shaw is not detailed in the movie, however her explicit control over him is evident. The uniqueness and complexity of David Foster Wallace s writing earned him a spot among the most influential contemporary authors of his generation. In addition, throughout his career, he published several other novels, short stories, and nonfiction articles. Many writers refer to Wallace as reviving or re defining postmodernism, calling him a post postmodernist; however, this categorization is ambiguous. Particularly, in the context of contemporary politics or other topical issues. If one were to examine contemporary culture today they would notice that it is becoming more and more satirized. One could argue this by turning on any program and listening for hidden messages alluding to some cause or political reference. Satireappears in many forms and may be used to shock the reader or targets into changing their behavior. For instance, in Jonathan Swift s A Modest Proposal he highlighted the poor conditions in Ireland. Additionally he talked about the English and Irish people s poor approaches ... In the Following section the reader meets the giants of Brobdingnag, and the situation is essentially reversed now instead of Gulliver being large, thereby feeling important he is small. Which he feels makes him insignificant to everyone else. In this part of the book by making Gulliver smaller the reader is now able to see how disgusting and self righteous man is. This is seen as Gulliver observes the Brobdingnagians. The Queen took up at one mouthful as much as a dozen English farmers could eat at a meal which to me was for some time a very nauseous sight (Swift 103). Swift not only showed how self righteous humans can be, but also judgemental. When the king of the Brobdingnagians observed Gulliver he concluded that You have clearly proved that ignorance, idleness, and vice may be sometimes the only ingredient for qualifying a legislator; that laws are the best explained, interpreted, and applied by those whose interest and abilities lie in perverting, confounding and eluding them. The study of political theory consists of the examination and analysis of topics central to governance such as justice, liberty, individual and property rights, what makes a legitimate government, and the most just and effective form of government. But to me, the most important and commonly discussed issue explored by the political theorists we have studied this semester is to what extent does a just society have sovereignty over the individual, or what is society s right over the individual in a just state. The answer to this question varies greatly between the political philosophers we have studied, but are similar in aspects, and in many cases the historical events and context of these philosophers lives shaped their beliefs. For my paper... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Nozick argued that the only form of a legitimate government was one that is as small as possible and limits its actions to only concern the protection of life, liberty, property, and contracts. Nozick argued that people did possess certain natural rights, certain things or actions that can not be done to another individual, even if that action is socially beneficial; these beliefs are similar to the ideas of John Locke, that people have certain rights that can never be taken away under any circumstance. However, one area where Nozick s beliefs come into contrast with John Locke was that Nozick believed an individual could willingly surrender some of their natural rights. A good example to help understand the way Nozick felt about natural rights, is to think about a boxing match: outside of a boxing match, individuals possess a naturally inherent right not to be punched in the face, but two individuals may, legitimately, voluntarily waive their right to not be punched in the face to partake in a boxing match and are also granted the right to punch the other individual volunteer in the face. In this assignment we will be discussing how the Nursing and Midwifery Council NMC (2015) guides nurses in the direction of good practice. Why we have the code? Who the code is for? How to implement the code in our daily lives as practitioners. The NMC (2015) is a set of guidelines which nurses and midwives must adhere to in order to provide the best care possible to their patients. The NMC (2015) is split into four main sections: 1. Prioritising people 2. Practise effectively 3. Preserve safety 4. Promote professionalism and trust The NMC code states that the guidelines were not only set by them themselves but what the general public expect from nursing healthcare professionals. The NMC code changed its standards and expectations in February of 2015 as a result of the Francis report (2013) being published and exposing the appalling conditions of the Staffordshire hospital; the nursing and midwifery council then decided that it was paramount for the code to be revised so as there was no grey areas where the health care professionals were unsure of what standard of care they were expected to uphold and deliver to anyone in their care. The Royal College of Nursing RCN (2015) would describe person centred care as allowing a person to be equal in their care and to empower them to make informed choices about their care plans, it would suggest that the service users should be ... These views were stated in the Palestinian National Charter, a document that set out the key principles of the PLO. It was originally written in 1964, but revised in 1968. Yet Arafat had many problems. Fatah was the biggest group in the PLO, but there were many others as well, meaning a very loose structure to the organisation. Many of these groups took a much harder line than Fatah, and were based in Syria. Another important policy was that the PLO insisted that Armed Struggle was the best way to liberate Palestine. Arafat launched a guerrilla war on the Israelis, driven by the success of the Algerian Nationalists in driving the French from Algeria. But in this case, the Israeli forces were too strong, and the war failed. With this failure, the PLO decided to launch attacks on Israeli civilians, and civilian targets, these acts condemned as terrorism.
