The Man With Talent Essay Essay
The Man with Talent
So many Coaches have talent and dedication for what they do. I m proud to play for one that has a
spectacular history of coaching. That coach is Dennis Lorio. Graduated from LSU (Louisiana State
University) with an economic degree and played baseball. I love the intensity and the relationship
in football Coach Lorio explaining with a passionate expression. I can see it in his eyes that he is
very dedicated and hardworking coach. As of now he is 62 years old and still willing to coach. It s
not the same without coaching. The joy and the sorrow I feel during the season has been addicted to
me. I ve been in this game almost all my life and that is a very long time.
From the article of Sports Nola, Nick Kreugar wrote about Dennis Lorio:
He was offensive coordinator at East St. John for the past two years, but resigned for family
reasons last October. He is well known for his time at Thibodaux and led them to the inaugural 5A
state championship in 1991. Lorio also spent time as LSU offensive line coach from 1992 94 and
returned to Thibodaux in 2008 leading the Tigers to a 27 12 record with 5A state quarterfinal
playoff runs in 2008 and 2009. He has a career coaching record of 105 70. (Sports Nola par. 2)
Even tough he lives in New Orleans, he drives an hour for his work every day. In 2013, Coach
Lorio took a challenge by coaching the Morgan City Tigers after he resigned from Thibodaux. He
came to to Morgan City knowing that Morgan city never made it to

The Numerous Themes in Othello Essay
The Numerous Themes in Othello
The Shakespearean tragedy Othello contains a number of themes; their relative importance and
priority is debated by literary critics. In this essay let us examine the various themes and determine
which are dominant and which subordinate.
A. C. Bradley, in his book of literary criticism, Shakespearean Tragedy, describes the theme of
sexual jealousy in Othello:
But jealousy, and especially sexual jealousy, brings with it a sense of shame and humiliation. For
this reason it is generally hidden; if we perceive it we ourselves are ashamed and turn our eyes
away; and when it is not hidden it commonly stirs contempt as well as pity. Nor is this all. Such
jealousy as Othello s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It has been pointed out that he has no intelligible plan for destroying Othello, and he never asks
himself what good it will do him to ruin so many people. It is enough for him that he hates the
Moor. . . .(133)
Act 1 Scene 1 opens with an expression of jealousy and hatred: Roderigo is upbraiding Iago
because of the elopement of the object of his affections Desdemona with the Moor: Thou told st
me thou didst hold him in thy hate. Iago responds with an expression of hatred, saying that he
does indeed hate the general because he Nonsuits my mediators; for, Certes, says he, / I have
already chose my officer. Lily B. Campbell in Shakespeare s Tragic Heroes indicates the palpable
hatred:
It is then on a theme of hate that the play opens. It is a hate of inveterate anger. It is a hate that is
bound up with envy. Othello has preferred to be his lieutenant a military theorist, one Michael
Cassio, over the experienced soldier Iago, to whom has fallen instead the post of his Moorship s
ancient . Roderigo questions Iago:
Thou told st me thou didst hold him in thy hate.
And the reply is a torrent of proof of the hatred for Othello that has almost exceeded the envy of
Cassio because he possesses the prize which Iago has sought to obtain for himself. (153)
The two hating and jealous men storm the home of the senator, Brabantio, and father of Desdemona
in a vain effort to have him

Creating An Effective Search Strategy
The first step to creating an effective search strategy for this particular search strategy would be
to go over what kind of subjects we will be covering as we work to complete the search strategy
together. Providing him with this information will help him to understand why we are going
through these steps and help him to stay on track while we are completing them. As we go through
this search strategy we are going to cover formulating an effective researchquestion, virtual
reference collections, finding sources, Google search, website evaluation, and plagiarism. Once we
have discussed our plan for completing this search strategy the next step would be to formulate
their research question. Formulating an effective research... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The next step would be to show the student how where they access this collection and how to
search for materials. I demonstrate how to use these collections by searching for some materials
that have organized into the grade 5 age appropriate category. Once in this category I can show
him how to search through this material in order to find items that contain information about his
chosen subject. The next research tool that will be discussed is the Google search. Since the
student is in grade 5 he probably already knows a great deal about using Google since it is a very
popular tool for people of all ages. What I will be teaching him is how to find the best results using
Google search. I will show him that refining your search using key terms can help you to find the
most useful information faster and with ease. After providing this explanation I will encourage the
student to try searching for some research materials by using the key words we came with together
in his Google search. Unfortunately though using the internet as a research tool does have its
dangers. After the student has finished his Google search using the key terms I will take some time
to talk to him about the importance of evaluation. Some websites present opinion as fact and using
this kind of information can have damaging effects on your research and your finished product.
After we have talked about the importance of website

The entrepreneurial types that best describes Elisabeth Holmes is an innovator and social

Cultural Diversity Case Study Magnet Schools
Principal Jones demonstrated that he cared for his school community and the well being of the
minorities during the process that took place. The faculty and staff was grateful to him for his trust
in them. The parents were probably relief that someone make the effort to guide them throughout
the process, even when the 80% of the students knew that they had other options than the magnet
school. The neighborhood school had a schoolwide program as their curriculum because of the
diverse cultural backgrounds. Not every student learns the same way, or organizes their work the
same, they needed to be inclusive. The 20% of the students that chose Scott Magnet School were
probably struggling to achieve, since the requirements were totally different. Additionally, the
Hispanics were probably struggling in any school that they chose since the other schools did not

Kgb In Animal Farm Essay
The KGB
Wouldn t it be nice to have a secret police force that listened to every word and killed anyone the
spot with no remorse? Well that pretty much sums up the KGB, they were a ruthless secret police
service that worked for whoever was in power for Russia. Under the wrong control they were very
destructive. In Animal Farm the dogs represented the KGB.
The KGB was one of many roots of secret police. The 1st, strongest and most durable, was
CHEKA . CHEKA was originally formed in 1917, during the first days of the Bolshevik
government. It played a major role in the Russian Civil War with multiple investigations and
executions. Feliks Dzerzhinsky, CHEKA s chief during the early years of Soviet power, molded
the service into an effective, merciless tool of the ruling Communist Party (Pringle). CHEKA s
power was almost over whelming, so in order to even some of the power out they ... Show more

History Of American Education
Education: it s necessary for the future of the world. We need it for the work force, daily living, and
many other things. The United States education system is not the best, despite what people say. It
is one of the things that separates the two economically and social status wise. Some swear that the
schooling system in Europe is 100 times better than the system in the United States. The differences
between the educationsystem in the European Union and the United States are the development of
the system, courses taken and courses required, federal funding, and, of course, the numbers.
Education is a complex thing. There are many things that contribute to its development, one of them
being the history of the country or, in Europe s case, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first documented formal education system in America was the Cherokee tribe located in
the South. They had a written language which helped them pass down information from one
generation to the next. Religion also affected the way education was taught. [The Puritan and
Protestant Reformer] schools made no distinction between religious and secular life and were
also used to inspire children to endure the hardships of a life in the New World through religious
devotion (Belrich American Education). A couple hundred years later, soon to be or former
presidents made a huge impact on education. Benjamin Franklin was an educator that
emphasized modern language, agriculture, accounting, [etcetera] (Belrich, American Education
Part 2). During this time, females were not allowed to attend school or get an education at all. In
the late 18th century and early 19th century, a group known as the Quakers established many
schools for both African and Native Americans. In 1954 the Brown vs Board of Education case
took place in America. This was where people thought it was wrong to segregate an entire
facility based on race. It helped schools integrate by legally forcing them to. The next big event
that took place was the passing of Public law 94 142 in 1975. This law helped handicapped
people receive an education that would suit the person s needs. In the 1980 s, A Nation at Risk
was published. It showed how the public school system had failed miserably in educating America s

Ancient Egypt and Beauty Accessories
English Project on Ancient Egypt
Layana: Makeup;
Ancient egyptians wore makeup. They regarded beauty as a sign of holiness. Both men and
women in Egypt wore makeup, and even the statues of God wore makeup. Cleanliness and
appearance of people, were highly regarded. Architects would even find tiny clay pallets in some
tombs, and yes beauty was really important to the Ancient Egyptians, but makeup was a different
story. Some of their makeup would be a sign of helping them with the elements, for example:
repelling insects, or when the sun s rays hit their eyes, the makeup would help them not get
affected by the sun. Also, makeup may be served as a routine to honor their god/goddesses. The
Ancient Egyptians also created black eye makeup, and they used it with galena and kohl. What
galena is, is that it is a bluish gray color, with natural minerals, and kohl is a mix between galena
and soot. They also created green eye makeup using malachite. Malachite is a bright green
mineral, which is made by copper hydroxyl carbonate. The Ancient Egyptians had many reasons
to wear makeup. They would wear eye makeup to define the eye, and to give the eye a more cat
like look. It was also a good way to prevent diseases, or any bad minerals to get into your eyes.
Ancient Egyptians also wore lip gloss, or nail polish but wore them only on special occasions. As
most people know, Ancient Egypthad social classes, and they mostly wear their clothes, or have

What type of burden she would be on peoples their opinions about her. Her family would not be

Persuasive Essay On Syria
Starting in 2011, Syria went into civil war, with the country being destabilized by fighting between
rebel forces and the Syrian Government. Recently ISIS, a terrorist group, joined in on the fighting,
taking land from the government and the rebels. Responding to this, the United States has started
bombing ISIS, becoming involved in the situation in Syria. I believe that the US should not be
become involved militarily against the Syrian government while continuing to bomb ISIS, as
preventing ISIS from becoming more powerful is important to prevent terrorism. We should stick
to only bombing the terrorist group, as sending in troops would only cause more problems. On the
other hand, sending in troops may speed up the process in the fight against ISIS, but at a large cost.

Becoming involved directly against Syria to topple the regime would result in an unstable US
backed government, and with past results such as Libya and Iraq, shows that the results would not
be worth the effort. The US would have to keep power in an extremely unstable country, with the
cost of doing so extremely high. Toppling governments in the Middle East has not proven to be
successful. As Syria is backed by Russia, becoming involved against the Syrian government could
cause relations with Russia to deteriorate, and could cause a clash between the US and Russia. To
help the Syrian government, Russia is bombing rebels to prevent them from toppling the regime.

Over the years, tax policy in the country has evolved in response to the development strategy and its
changes. In the initial years, the tax policy was directed to increase the level of savings, transfer
available savings for investment as envisaged by plan strategy and the need to ensure a fair

This shift to GST is expected to significantly improve buoyancy from indirect taxes, owing to the
opportunity it provides for further convergence and moderation of rates and a substantial expansion
in the base which would extend beyond manufacturing all the way to retail. Reforming the tax
system is important for achieving fiscal consolidation, creating instability in the economy and
minimizing distortions in the economy. The wave of tax reforms across the world began in the
mid 1980s and speeded up in the 1990s due to a number of factors. In many developing countries,
tax policy was directed to correct fiscal imbalances. In others, the transition from centralized
planning to market required wide ranging tax reforms to replace public enterprise profits with taxes
as the principal source of revenue. An important reason, however, was internationalization of
economic activities. The sharp reduction in tariffs accompanying globalization required that an
appropriate source of revenue to replace this had to be found. On the other, globalization
emphasized the need to minimize both efficiency and compliance costs of the tax system.

The Cambodian Genocide And The Khmer Rouge
The Cambodian genocide happened between 1975 and 1979 in the country of Cambodia. Almost 2
million Cambodians, Chinese, Vietnamese, Buddhist, Cham, intellectuals, anyone with above a 7th
grade education, and western influenced people were systematically killed during the genocide. Pol
Pot and the Khmer Rouge started the genocide on April 17th, 1975 when they evacuated the city of
Phnom Penh along with other major cities and forced people into the countryside where their work
camps were. Even though Pol Potand the Khmer rougefailed to create a Pure Kampuchean Society ,
their actions devastated all of Cambodia. Millions of Cambodians were displaced from their
homes and lost their belongings. The trauma of the work camps caused PTSD in millions of
people, which have been passed down to generations who did not experience the genocide.
Various diseases and famine have also affected many Cambodians after the genocide. Despite this,
many Cambodians were willing to share their gruesome past. For example, Loung Ung,
Cambodian genocide survivor, wrote the memoir First They Killed My Father. Her memoir
describes her struggles as a five year old girl leaving behind everything she considered as home.
Through her experiences, she communicates to her audience an important theme: that people are
willing to do anything for family.
One way that the author expresses the theme is through imagery.
The use of imagery explains in detail how people are willing to do anything in their power to

The Problem Of Tyranny
Tyranny Over All
The history of a country is usually deep and complex. This is the same for the United States. The
U.S history is very complex with lots of history, including the making of the U.S constitution. The
making of our rulebook was important because it fixed issues with the Article of Confederation.
But, we needed a way to fix the problem of Tyranny. And they did. I think the Governmentstopped
tyranny by Separating powers, checks and balances, and keeping Voting Amounts inline.
Separating powers was important to stopping tyranny. It stops the Central Government from
regulating in trade business. It stops them from saying STOP TRADE BECAUSE WE WANT
TO! . It also stops the States from starting wars. It stops them from saying WE

Essay on Racism in Children s Literature
For my research project I chose the topic of Racism in Children s Literature. I chose this area of
study because it is something that bothers me and I know as a child in school I was very
uncomfortable with assignments that dealt with racism. One day I would like to make a
difference to all the people who are affected by racism. My hypothesis states that if educators are
better trained to deal with the delicate subject of racism in children s literature, books would not be
banned, yet actually teach the lesson the authors of these books intended for all of us to learn.

There has been a move by many to ban these books, but is that really the answer to the problem?
As a mother, secure in my belief, I want my children to read these books. I want my children to be
angry, to form their own opinions based on what they read, to understand what people in other times
were put through, and most importantly, I want them to understand who wrote these books and
why they were written. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn has over two hundred references of the
N word. However, Ernest Hemingway said, All modern American literaturecomes from one book
by Mark Twaincalled Huckleberry Finn. It s the best book we ve ever had. These angry words
full of hatred were called the best by one of the most known authors in the world, why? I read
this book in high school myself. I served many afterschool detentions because I refused to read
aloud the words of hate. I did not connect to it then, yet as I have aged I believe it was the way
the book was taught. Why did my teacher not tell us more of the background of Mark Twain?
Mark Twain was not a racist, yet it took me many years to realize that. I finally found a respect
for him that I should have known before I turned that first page. Even though the book has many
racial slurs, it shows that not just a friendship, but a strong bond could be formed between a
young white boy and a black man. They hain t no right to shut him up! Shove! and don t you lose

Egalitarianism In Buddhism
Buddhism is a unique religious tradition in its involvement of women in monastic positions.
Buddhist texts mention the importance of utilizing the skills of its female adherents, encouraging
women in aspirations of enlightenment as men have been wont to do since the religion s founding.
This monastic path, however, has proven more challenging, is subjected to segregative stricture,
and has afforded less egalitarianism for nuns than monks, further confounded by contradictory
teachings and attitudes toward female monastics. Buddha is shown through numerous Buddhist
texts to value others, despite their perceived status. Buddha himself was of noble birth, and in
following his path to attain understanding and enlightenment, he was acquainted with both privilege
and deprivation. His journey made him keenly aware of the innate power within individuals to
improve themselves and was portrayed behaving in accordance with that knowledge.... Show more

Worth The Value Of College

be severely impacted in a negative way because they don t care about their education until they get

People who graduate college generally make more money. They are able to have good jobs and

says that students that graduate from high school and then graduate from college gain over
$20,000more per year than students without a degree. Also students that have a degree get 63%
more hourly wages than students without a degree. Finally students that get a degree are 1/3 more
likely to be ensured by an employer instead of a student without a degree. This means that students
that graduate from college will end up making more money in the long run.

Investigating The Model Of The System On The University Of...
In 2010, a study conducted by David Conway and Samsung Lim found that for 1147.6 mm of
annual rainfall around the University of New South Wales, approximately 79 ML could be
collected from rainfall runoff per annum; this meant 30% of campus water use could be
replenished by roof water collection. However, no measures have since been implemented or
thoroughly examined in terms of feasibility. This report aims to address these issues by define the
parameters of the study to investigate the model of the system which helps to suggest feasible
rainwater collection solutions for the university. Problem Definition This will be treated as a grey

By extracting water from the water table, it can result in a cone of depression that may extend
beyond the system boundary; hence the water table is excluded from the analysis. Subsystems The
campus can be divided roughly into three areas: Upper Campus пѓ Botany Street to Central
Lecture Block Middle Campus пѓ Electrical Engineering Building to Red Centre East Wing Lower
Campus пѓ UNSW Business School to Anzac Parade Each area can be divided into three
subsystems: Paved areas (walkways and roads) Buildings (rooftops) Vegetation (lawns, ovals, flora)
The manner in which the subsystems relate to each other is governed by the direction of water flow
and surface properties of the subsystem. Generally, rainfall onto hard surfaces (buildings and paved
areas) either results in runoff into gutters and vegetation or water detention; the opposite is not true,
as vegetative areas are generally much more permeable, meaning more water detention. Figure 2

As with many important historical events throughout history the dissolution of the Soviet Union
had many contributing forces. However, most historians agree that the main contributor was Soviet
President Mikhail Gorbachev and the many radical reforms he implemented during the six years he
was the leader of the USSR. Even though the official dissolution took place in December 1991, the
Soviet Unions demise began to take form in the 1980s. In order to understand why the Soviet
Union dissolved it is important to have a clear picture of its history and political climate.

Western countries including the United States grew more suspicious and distrustful of the Soviet
Union. The Cold War had begun. Stalin would further isolate the Soviet Union with the building of
the Berlin Wall which divided Germany into two countries, East Germany being communist and
under Soviet control.
After Stalin s death in 1953 Soviet leaders acknowledged that his policies were brutal and extreme,
but maintained the Communist party s power in the Soviet Union. The use of military force to
suppress anticommunism behavior became commonplace. Instead of focusing on domestic
problems and needs, the Communist government focused on the Cold War. Another obsession
became the arms race. This became a costly and destructive obsession.
During the early 1980s the Soviet Union would have three leaders in less than three years.
Brezhnev, Andropov, and Chernenko were all solid communist leaders, but also older and all
died within their first year of office. In March 1985 a communist reformer named Mikhail
Gorbachev was appointed as the Soviet Union s last president. The Soviet government knew they
couldn t afford another short term leader. Gorbachev was fifty four was he took office. When
Gorbachev assumed power the Soviet Union was in a state of stagnation. Gorbachev wanted to
reform the economy and modernize the political structure. In order to help the Soviet Union

Clay Jannon Literary Analysis
Ever since the introduction of humans on Earth, homo sapiens have dominated this planet.
However, despite human superiority, there have been many times in history where people continue
to perceive different incidents and occurrences in one way, however, in reality, these occurrences
have a much deeper meaning. In the novel, Clay Jannon goes beyond the misunderstanding of life
and travels deep into the real world to find the meaning of life. Robin Sloan, the author of the story,
Mr. Penumbra s 24 hours Bookstore, devoted his novel to explain the misconceptions of
appearances versus the real life. Moreover, in the story the author gives a number of examples
related to this topic; however, there are three main precedents that occurred in the story.... Show

minds because it s a total curve ball. The tone shifts... the plot goes of the trail and began to obey
some hidden logic. People always assumed that Clark Moffat was doing psychedelic drugs, but the
truth was even stranger (Sloan 196). The release of the book initiated the misconception of people
pertaining to the thought that Clark Moffat was mentally ill; however, in reality, the book was a
codex vitae made to decode Manutius book of life. Furthermore, Clark Moffat found the other
message in the book of life, that the key to immortality is one s name and characteristics mentioned

The Killer Angels, by Michael Shaara, tells the story of the Battle of Gettysburg. The story begins
on June 29, 1863. A spy comes to Longstreet and informed him I ve got the position of the Union
Army, they re coming in seven crops. I figure at least eighty thousand men, possibly as much as a
hundred thousand (The Killer Angels 8). General Jeb Stuart was supposed to be tracking the Union
Army, so this information surprises him. If the spy was right the army was in great danger (The
Killer Angels 10). Longstreet thinks they Confederate Army must move north to intercept the
Union Army. When they do, they accidently change directions and get to a small town called

Taming Of Katherina In Shakespeare s The Taming Of The Shrew
Material culture significantly impacts the taming of Katherina by Petruchio in William
Shakespeare s play, The Taming of the Shrew. Katherina begins the play constantly defending
herself against the insults of her society and matching wits with the men in her life. Because her
father and all potential suitors in Padua view her rebellious spirit as curst and shrewd, Petruchio
s wit and interest encourage her acceptance of his proposal (Shakespeare 1.1.179). However,
following a wedding in which her new husband arrives late to the ceremony, dresses poorly, and
forces her to leave the celebration early against her will, the formerly outspoken Katherina feels
embarrassment and a loss of dignity. Petruchio then builds on her insecurities and shock as he
takes Katherina to his taming school in their new home to teach her to hold her tongue and mind
her husband (Shakespeare 4.2.55). Petruchio accomplishes his plan while at the same time, by
withholding food, sleep, and clothing, he becomes a greater shrew and devilish character than
Katherina ever was before her taming process began. Petruchio s taming school is a place in
which Katherina receives training to become a wife who follows the social conventions of the
time which values quiet tongues and spirits in women. Petruchio compares Katherina to an
untrained falcon, who merely requires tough love to follow the directions of its master. He plans
to train her as a man would train a falcon to respond to his voice alone

Characteristics Of Bilbo In The Hobbit
Bilbo Baggins is the last being in The Hobbit to be considered a monster. J.R.R. Tolkien made
sure to depict Bilbo as an innocent, loving, and merciful being. However the reader cannot deny
the fact that he possesses some characteristics of a monster. Dating back to the 1300s, monsters
have been defined as people whom are of abnormal form and structure. It can be argued that every
species, besides the humans, are monsters, including Hobbits like Bilbo. Furthermore Bilbo is
unlike a typical Hobbitthanks to his Tookish lineage; therefore he is even more abnormal. Their
neighbors, in part because of their wealth, have always respected the Bagginses but also because

As seen in many monster stories throughout history, such as Bisclavret and Beowulf, monsters
also live in isolation. Bilbo is no different. Hobbits are inherently known to remain in the
confines of their homes at all costs, as it provides a sense of comfort and security, similar to the
role the woods play for Bisclavret. Tolkien describes, on page 4, how Bilbo s parents settled in
their hobbit hole and remained there until their deaths, which is also where Bilbo continues to
live (pg 4 5). Even after begins his journey alongside the dwarves, he longs to sit in his home by
the fire. In addition to being isolated homebodies, Hobbit s are very fond of food. It is said that
Hobbits are inclined to be fat in the stomach (pg 4). Their gluttonous tendencies plague Bilbo
through his travels as he constantly dreams of food. The outward appearance of Bilbo and his need
to live and eat separate from the world provides for a surface level analysis of Bilbo Baggins as one
of the monsters of The Hobbit.
It is important to remember that not all monsters are evil or act on malicious intent. Likewise,
even though a character isn t demonic doesn t mean he isn t still a monster. Bilbo never behaves
in an inappropriate manner, and is in fact the protagonist of The Hobbit. Jeffrey Jerome Cohen
provides two theses from his article Monster Culture that satisfies Bilbo s character. Thesis #2: The
Monster Always Escapes is perhaps the most obvious

The Effects Of Organized Sports On Children
Organized Sports are Good to Children As the time pass, and as the technology is advancing
rapidly, the tradition of playing outside is diminished rapidly. Many people are concentrating on
their electronic devices in ages early as three. Sports is the most effective way that children can

I Am No Taller Than Three Feet
I stand no taller than three feet, even with the monster sized boots hiding my feet from the frigid
air on the lake. The bright orange hat falls over my eyes as I struggle to keep up with my dad. I
slip a bit on the ice and let out a shrill scream before getting ready to hit the ground, but I don t
feel any pain. I open my eyes to see that my superhero had swooped me up and saved the day. I
wrap my slender arms around his neck, hugging him. He carries me the rest of the way to the
small lakeside restaurant. When he sets me down on the ground again, my boots make a loud
bang on the wooden floor. A few heads turn towards us. One specific person that I notice is an old
man who s grey hair hangs a bit too long. His scruffy looking beard reminds me of my grandfather.
I waddle after my dad to the tall stools by the counter. I try to climb up by myself but I am much
too short. Dad picks me up again and sets me on the seat. He helps me unzip my jacket so that I
don t get too hot in the heated room. I look over at my dad and smile. It is the first time that we get

back as a waiter comes up to us. My dad asks if I d rather drink hot cocoa or chocolate milk. Hot

Issuing bonds in the case would be a better option, as even with the annual principal repayments
EPS would be higher and the Company would still enjoy the tax shield.
James Gitanga was not sure about the unusual capital structure of the Company, avoiding the long
term debt. We believe that the long term capital structure across the industry was pre determined by
the high capital expenditures and steady cash inflows. Thus, issuing long term debt was more
preferable. Besides, by issuing debt they would enjoy the tax shield since interest on long term debt
is tax deductible.
3. How should the acquisition of MPIS be financed, taking into account the issues of control,
flexibility, income and risk?
Cash flows from Stock Offering (in Million Dollars)
Proceeds from Stock offering $ 125.025
Annual Dividend Payments $ (7.50)
Every year forever
PV of payouts $ (125.000)
NPV $ 0.025
Notes:
In case they finance with debt, Winfield (the company) would be able to enjoy the tax shield as a
result of tax deductible interest expense, hence their effective cost of debt will be 4.225%.
However, when financed with stock, the new stockholders will be entitled to perpetuity of $7.5M
in dividends. Working out the net present values of the two scenarios as shown in the tables above,
Debt financing becomes a favorable option to stock since it yields a higher NPV.

Preludio, By Nisha Coleman
Busking in Paris is the second oldest profession in this beautiful city. There are many mistaken
beliefs about buskers. Mostly, buskers are recognized to be homeless, unemployed, drug addicts,

her work as a busker in Paris. She went to Paris, with a slim budget, a language level of French
sufficient enough to help her with small interactions with others, her violin, and an extreme

The Basics On Corrective Eye Surgery
The basics on corrective eye surgery
Before contact lenses finally became popular in the 50 s, eyeglasses had been the only practical
way to correct refraction vision errors. Now however, there are several modern ways when it
comes to correcting vision problems including corrective eye surgery. Corrective eye surgery
ranges from laser reshaping of the eye surface known as LASIK and PRK to a surgically inserted
artificial lens that corrects the eyesight. Within LASIK and other such similar procedures, laser
energy reshapes the curvature of the eye s clear front surface known as the cornea and alters the
way that light rays will enter your eye. This isn t too different from artificial lenses, which once
surgically inserted into the eye, can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Those with lower prescription strengths pre surgery experienced fewer and less frequent side
effects. Radial Keratotomy is now almost non existent for these specific reasons as well as the
advances in technology when it comes to laser vision correction.
Photorefractive Keratectomy was the name of the very first successful laser vision correction
procedure that was used to remove the tissue directly from the surface of the eye. This was
carried out in order to change the curvature of the cornea itself. This procedure was also known
as surface ablation and was actually performed outside of the U.S during the 1980 s receiving
FDA approval around 1995. Photorefractive Keratectomy is still commonly used today however
LASIK is far more popular although Photorefractive Keratectomy has made a comeback of sorts
in recent years due to studies showing that it produces very similar results to LASIK. On top of
this, research has shown that nerve regeneration within the eye s surface takes place faster with
Photorefractive Keratectomy than with LASIK which could help reduce dry eye symptoms along
with other such complications associated with laser eye surgery. There s also no risk of surgical
flab complications due to it being a surface procedure. Photorefractive Keratectomy also appeals to
those with a thinner cornea as LASIK was once considered off limits for patients with thinner
corneal flaps. Recent technologies have given eye surgeons much better methods

Adhd In Children Essay
Good health is one of the most valued things in the life of every human being from childhood to
old age. A nation s future relies on the wellbeing of its children. Unfortunately, American children
are sick and overmedicated. The National Center of Health Statistics estimated that 7.5 percent of
kids at the age interval of six to seventeen were under medication for emotional or behavioral
problems in 2011 2012. Several millions of children in the United States have been diagnosed with
childhood mental disorder such as eating disorders, depression, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety
disorders, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). These kids are often overmedicated
because of incorrect diagnosis of their medical conditions, improper use of medicines, unnecessary
dosage of medications, and conflicts of interest in the pharmaceutical industry.
Incorrect diagnosis of kids medical conditions can lead to the prescription of wrong treatments and
overmedication. Therefore, it is extremely important that a child is diagnosed by the correct
medical specialist. The diagnosis of mental disorder in kids is not an exact science. It is so
complex that the chance to get the proper medication that suits the child s condition is extremely
slim. Many doctors affirm that psychiatric prescription is based on their observations of the child s
behaviors. Nowadays, modern psychiatry has reached a point where even the most normal behavior
and emotions of a child have been labeled

The Engineer s High Privilege
Former US President and mining engineer Herbert Hoover summed up the engineering field as a
calling when he wrote, Engineering is a great profession. There is a fascination of watching a
figment of the imagination merge through the aid of science to a plan on paper. Then it moves to
realization in stone or metal or energy. Then it brings jobs and homes... Then it elevates the
standards of living and adds to the comforts of life. That is the engineer s high privilege. Although,
this interpretation from Hoover is a great representation to the definition of engineering, the highest
priority should stem from the glorification of God, the Creator. Utilizing such God given gifts and
transforming creation into an image of new, should be done to exemplify Him and give to the
greater good of society (Matthew 5:16, Jeremiah 29:7).
We are witnesses to great benefits to mankind stemming from contemporary engineering

the opposite effect. Drug and alcohol use is linked to poor student academic performance,
depression, anxiety, suicide, property damage, vandalism, fights and a host of medical problems
(Califano, Tolerating a Culture of Substance Abuse ).
The problem of rampant drug and alcohol abuse and how integrated it is within college campus
life is accurately portrayed in Ellis s novel, The Rules of Attraction, and actually echo many of the
statistical facts stated above. The book opens with Lauren s account of how she lost her virginity,
where she was gang raped by two men from the town not enrolled in the college when she lay
unconscious for most of the event, having drunk too much. Moreover, she always envisioned that
she would lose her virginity in that way, which is a profound statement,

Justice In Susan Glaspell s Trifles
Within human society, a certain symbiotic relationship exists between the ideas of law and
justice. These two concepts often correlate with one another. However, Susan Glaspell s play,
Trifles , exemplified a specific instance where justice was achieved for Minnie Foster with very
little regard to the law. At the same time, an paradoxical dynamic occurs for John Wright where it
doesn t seem that he will obtain justiceeven with the assistance of the legal system. Colloquial
English speakers often use the terms law and justice interchangeably, and many people associate
the existence of one with the other. However, there are several key differences between the two on
a definitive level. Laws are sets of rules and guidelines set up by governing bodies that members of
society must follow. They re created by social institutions to regulate behavior, and by suppressing
unfavorable behavior, fairness and equality is usually successfully maintained. Justice on the other
hand, is exactly what the establishment of law making bodies are trying to achieve the equal and
same treatment of all individuals based on righteousness, ethics, and morality.... Show more content

According to speculation, Foster s husband John Wright inflicted years of emotional and
psychological abuse by limiting her freedoms and passions. The crime committed against Foster
was a combination of chronic abuse and the alleged slaughter of her beloved canary. As a result,
Foster got vengeance by slipping a rope around Wright s neck and killing him in his sleep. This is
an example where someone obtained justice, as fairness in this case is defined by the victim of an
unjust crime. In Foster s eyes, her husband s death is payment for the loss and trauma she suffered.
Therefore, even though she did not obtained it through the legal system or even legal means, Foster
was ultimately able to attain justice in her own

Visual Effects And Its Effects On Modern Films
Visual Effects Pipelines
The film making process in modern films is a lot more complex than it has ever been.
Even the simplest of films require a large amount of crew and equipment, but none of these
processes has advanced the state of cinema as visual effects has. It says a lot that the highest
grossing films of all time are heavily driven by visual effects, one can infer that visual effects are
now a major part of storytelling. The majority of films contain visual effects, even when you don t
realize it. Are the actors driving down the highway? Is there a window in the scene?
Does the actor look unusually younger than usual? Most of these are invisible effects, often shot in
front of a green screen. Within each process that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Artists could know what elements were to be used in finalizing each shot, a feat that sometimes
required chasing down information. Now the information would be organized, and anything that
was approved up the pipeline would be made available. They provided training on the new system,
and it worked under a perfect training scenario. Once it was put into practice, it was a different
matter.
Conflict arises
The moment we tried putting this into practice, artists soon began to realize that the
VISUAL EFFECTS PIPELINES 4 system, although followed as explained, wasn t working as
expected. There was a plethora of information missing from the menus, wrong versions of elements
published, and a lot of confused and irritated artists. The system, unfortunately, went back to the
drawing board, leaving people to chase down information the old fashioned way.
Root cause hunting
We ll be implementing a Root Cause Analysis to the problem, intending to find the reason why the
system failed, and what steps can be used to ensure that the new implementation does not go the
same way. Unfortunately, I was not involved in decision making process, and therefore can only
analyse the situation from an artist s view. We ll start off by gathering the data from interactions
with other artists. This was all feedback given amongst the artists themselves, before having it
relayed to the development team.
The first one is the training session: the dev team explained the

Universal Background Checks
Many innocent lives each year are taken away because most states do not have laws particularly
dealing with private dealers administering background checks. Background checks are needed to
make sure that clients who are purchasing firearms will not use the gun to endanger themselves or
others. However, even in the states where background checks are administered the laws still consist
of many loopholes; some of these include, not checking for mental illnesses that the client might
have , not following up on the client after they purchased the gun, and how private sellers and many
states are not administrating strict and complete background checks., Researchers confirm that
universal background checks laws effectively improve public safety and... Show more content on

When Background Checks are required, they are extremely effective at making sure that a gun
does not end up in the wrong person s hand. In addition to that, the background check system ahs
to become more advanced by going deeper into the clients life being completely sure that the
gun is going to good hands when done. Repeated pools have shown that over 90% of the
American Public supports laws requiring background checks on all gun purchasers, regardless of
whether they buy weapons from licensed or private dealers. A survey conducted for the New
England Journal of Medicine in January 2013 found that 84% of gun owners and 74% of NRA
members also support requiring a universal background check system for all gun sales.
Background checks need to be altered and most of the united States stand by the changes needed to

Social Networking Furthers Participation and Communication...
Visiting the websites of our official Canadian political parties, some of the first images we
recognize may be a large white F on a blue background, or a small bird with a soft blue T.
Although it is hard to describe an iconic symbol in text, we can vividly picture the logos of the
most popular social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. Twitter particularly has allowed
public citizens access to a different side of the world s leaders that we look to for answers and
change. Participation and open communication in political democracy is promoted by social
networking services. Citizens can easily feel informed and up to date and many view this now as
a right and a need, no longer a want or wish. These are the kinds of services our society... Show

Another great example of the political power that Twitter harnesses on a global scale is the
democratic election in Iran during the summer of 2009. Twitter was used extensively in both of
these examples as a means to communicate.
Co creators and founders Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams, and Biz Stone launched Twitter.com on
March 21, 2010. The first message ever posted was by co creator, Jack Dorsey. Twitter is a free
online service that allows you to send messages to hundreds, or even millions, of your subscribers
known as followers, all at the same time. Your Twitter followers receive an alert each time you
send a new message either on their mobile phone or their computer. These messages, also known as
tweets, are limited to 140 characters maximum allowing updates to be kept short and concise. This
social network service has exploded in popularity since its debut and has more than 23 million
unique visitors on average per month in the United States alone (Site Profile for twitter.com(rank
#41)). Anybody can sign up, acquire a username and discuss any sort of topic that they want to
with others. Inserting the @ symbol before a username allows you to reply to another Twitter user
and initiate a conversation, a lot like an email reply. The constant availability, ease of use, and
openness of the service has promoted its drastically quick growth. Top business executives,

Challenges of the Automobile Industry of USA Essay
As we all know, automobile industry plays an important part in the economy of USA; however, this
industry is facing some environmental challenges. In this assignment, I would like to discuss about
the challenges that the automobile industry of USA is struggling with. Specifically, there are four
main challenges that will be looked into details which are global competition, new technology,
emission s effect on the environment and the government s reaction, and the consumers opinion
about the products.
Firstly, the automobile industry of USA is facing an intense global competition. Beside some
American brands of automobiles such as Ford, General Motors (GM), there are other foreign
brands which are proving their positions in the automobile ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

As we can see, the automobile industry of USA is affected by the economic depression in 2009,
and there are more competitors trying to compete in the automobile industry.
Secondly, what is the role of new technology in empowering the automobile products? It is the
fact that USA is one of the countries having the best technology which is always updated for
new innovation. Nowadays, the means of shopping is not just going to the stores, looking at the
catalogues and talking to the dealers. Everything now can be done just by a click. All the big
automobile companies have their own official websites where customers can get the information
about the newest trends with all the detailed information. By this way, it can save customers a
great deal of time and they have more selection over a wide range of products. That is the reason
why there are more and more customers turning to online shopping. According to a survey done
by J.D. Power and Associates (2002), there were 60% to 80% of customers went to the company
website to search for information before going to the store and take the test drive. Another good
point about the Internet is that new customers can look for the review from those who already
purchased the products to see if that product is worth its cost, as stated in the same survey there is
60% of the buyers refer to the internet before making their purchase (J.D. Power and Associates,
2002).

the European Union the EMA, the European Commission and the national authorities of the EU

agency has their own distinctive approaches to approve drugs biologics and medical devices.
The globalization of the pharmaceutical industry, harmonising the drug regulatory approval
process of the US FDA and EU EMA, and Health Canada is essential to speed up the progress of
new treatments. The main goal of all agencies is to put a drug in the market in safe, efficient and

If a new drug has potential therapeutic value that outweighs the risks an applicant needs to
submit drug submission for new drug or biologic to the Health Canada s Health Products and
Food Branch (HPFB) to pursue a review and, ultimately, regulatory approval (Health Canada,
2016). Canadian regulations need preclinical and clinical trials to get a marketing approval in
Canada. The HPFB assesses and observes the safety, efficacy and quality of drugs used for
human and animal, medical devices, natural health and other therapeutic products. A
manufacturer may apply for the Generic product via Abbreviated NDS (ANDS). In Canada,
medical devices are divided into four classes based on the level of risk connected with their use,
Class I devices present the lowest potential risk like thermometers that do not require a medical

  • 2. The Man With Talent Essay Essay The Man with Talent So many Coaches have talent and dedication for what they do. I m proud to play for one that has a spectacular history of coaching. That coach is Dennis Lorio. Graduated from LSU (Louisiana State University) with an economic degree and played baseball. I love the intensity and the relationship in football Coach Lorio explaining with a passionate expression. I can see it in his eyes that he is very dedicated and hardworking coach. As of now he is 62 years old and still willing to coach. It s not the same without coaching. The joy and the sorrow I feel during the season has been addicted to me. I ve been in this game almost all my life and that is a very long time. From the article of Sports Nola, Nick Kreugar wrote about Dennis Lorio: He was offensive coordinator at East St. John for the past two years, but resigned for family reasons last October. He is well known for his time at Thibodaux and led them to the inaugural 5A state championship in 1991. Lorio also spent time as LSU offensive line coach from 1992 94 and returned to Thibodaux in 2008 leading the Tigers to a 27 12 record with 5A state quarterfinal playoff runs in 2008 and 2009. He has a career coaching record of 105 70. (Sports Nola par. 2) Even tough he lives in New Orleans, he drives an hour for his work every day. In 2013, Coach Lorio took a challenge by coaching the Morgan City Tigers after he resigned from Thibodaux. He came to to Morgan City knowing that Morgan city never made it to ... • 3. The Numerous Themes in Othello Essay The Numerous Themes in Othello The Shakespearean tragedy Othello contains a number of themes; their relative importance and priority is debated by literary critics. In this essay let us examine the various themes and determine which are dominant and which subordinate. A. C. Bradley, in his book of literary criticism, Shakespearean Tragedy, describes the theme of sexual jealousy in Othello: But jealousy, and especially sexual jealousy, brings with it a sense of shame and humiliation. For this reason it is generally hidden; if we perceive it we ourselves are ashamed and turn our eyes away; and when it is not hidden it commonly stirs contempt as well as pity. Nor is this all. Such jealousy as Othello s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It has been pointed out that he has no intelligible plan for destroying Othello, and he never asks himself what good it will do him to ruin so many people. It is enough for him that he hates the Moor. . . .(133) Act 1 Scene 1 opens with an expression of jealousy and hatred: Roderigo is upbraiding Iago because of the elopement of the object of his affections Desdemona with the Moor: Thou told st me thou didst hold him in thy hate. Iago responds with an expression of hatred, saying that he does indeed hate the general because he Nonsuits my mediators; for, Certes, says he, / I have already chose my officer. Lily B. Campbell in Shakespeare s Tragic Heroes indicates the palpable hatred: It is then on a theme of hate that the play opens. It is a hate of inveterate anger. It is a hate that is bound up with envy. Othello has preferred to be his lieutenant a military theorist, one Michael Cassio, over the experienced soldier Iago, to whom has fallen instead the post of his Moorship s ancient . Roderigo questions Iago: Thou told st me thou didst hold him in thy hate. And the reply is a torrent of proof of the hatred for Othello that has almost exceeded the envy of Cassio because he possesses the prize which Iago has sought to obtain for himself. Creating An Effective Search Strategy The first step to creating an effective search strategy for this particular search strategy would be to go over what kind of subjects we will be covering as we work to complete the search strategy together. Providing him with this information will help him to understand why we are going through these steps and help him to stay on track while we are completing them. As we go through this search strategy we are going to cover formulating an effective researchquestion, virtual reference collections, finding sources, Google search, website evaluation, and plagiarism. I demonstrate how to use these collections by searching for some materials that have organized into the grade 5 age appropriate category. Once in this category I can show him how to search through this material in order to find items that contain information about his chosen subject. The next research tool that will be discussed is the Google search. Since the student is in grade 5 he probably already knows a great deal about using Google since it is a very popular tool for people of all ages. What I will be teaching him is how to find the best results using Google search. I will show him that refining your search using key terms can help you to find the most useful information faster and with ease. After providing this explanation I will encourage the student to try searching for some research materials by using the key words we came with together in his Google search. Unfortunately though using the internet as a research tool does have its dangers. After the student has finished his Google search using the key terms I will take some time to talk to him about the importance of evaluation. Some websites present opinion as fact and using this kind of information can have damaging effects on your research and your finished product. After we have talked about the importance of website ... • 9. Ancient Egypt and Beauty Accessories English Project on Ancient Egypt Layana: Makeup; Ancient egyptians wore makeup. They regarded beauty as a sign of holiness. Both men and women in Egypt wore makeup, and even the statues of God wore makeup. Cleanliness and appearance of people, were highly regarded. Architects would even find tiny clay pallets in some tombs, and yes beauty was really important to the Ancient Egyptians, but makeup was a different story. Some of their makeup would be a sign of helping them with the elements, for example: repelling insects, or when the sun s rays hit their eyes, the makeup would help them not get affected by the sun. Also, makeup may be served as a routine to honor their god/goddesses. The Ancient Egyptians also created black eye makeup, and they used it with galena and kohl. What galena is, is that it is a bluish gray color, with natural minerals, and kohl is a mix between galena and soot. They also created green eye makeup using malachite. Malachite is a bright green mineral, which is made by copper hydroxyl carbonate. The Ancient Egyptians had many reasons to wear makeup. They would wear eye makeup to define the eye, and to give the eye a more cat like look. It was also a good way to prevent diseases, or any bad minerals to get into your eyes. In the initial years, the tax policy was directed to increase the level of savings, transfer available savings for investment as envisaged by plan strategy and the need to ensure a fair distribution of incomes, to correct inequalities arising from the oligopolistic market structure created by the co existence of private and public sector and the existence of other instruments of planning such as licensing system, exchange control, administered price ... The wave of tax reforms across the world began in the mid 1980s and speeded up in the 1990s due to a number of factors. In many developing countries, tax policy was directed to correct fiscal imbalances. In others, the transition from centralized planning to market required wide ranging tax reforms to replace public enterprise profits with taxes as the principal source of revenue. An important reason, however, was internationalization of economic activities. The sharp reduction in tariffs accompanying globalization required that an appropriate source of revenue to replace this had to be found. Almost 2 million Cambodians, Chinese, Vietnamese, Buddhist, Cham, intellectuals, anyone with above a 7th grade education, and western influenced people were systematically killed during the genocide. Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge started the genocide on April 17th, 1975 when they evacuated the city of Phnom Penh along with other major cities and forced people into the countryside where their work camps were. Even though Pol Potand the Khmer rougefailed to create a Pure Kampuchean Society , their actions devastated all of Cambodia. Millions of Cambodians were displaced from their homes and lost their belongings. The trauma of the work camps caused PTSD in millions of people, which have been passed down to generations who did not experience the genocide. Various diseases and famine have also affected many Cambodians after the genocide. Despite this, many Cambodians were willing to share their gruesome past. For example, Loung Ung, Cambodian genocide survivor, wrote the memoir First They Killed My Father. Her memoir describes her struggles as a five year old girl leaving behind everything she considered as home. Buddhist texts mention the importance of utilizing the skills of its female adherents, encouraging women in aspirations of enlightenment as men have been wont to do since the religion s founding. This monastic path, however, has proven more challenging, is subjected to segregative stricture, and has afforded less egalitarianism for nuns than monks, further confounded by contradictory teachings and attitudes toward female monastics. Buddha is shown through numerous Buddhist texts to value others, despite their perceived status. Buddha himself was of noble birth, and in following his path to attain understanding and enlightenment, he was acquainted with both privilege and deprivation. • 36. Adhd In Children Essay Good health is one of the most valued things in the life of every human being from childhood to old age. A nation s future relies on the wellbeing of its children. Unfortunately, American children are sick and overmedicated. The National Center of Health Statistics estimated that 7.5 percent of kids at the age interval of six to seventeen were under medication for emotional or behavioral problems in 2011 2012. Several millions of children in the United States have been diagnosed with childhood mental disorder such as eating disorders, depression, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). These kids are often overmedicated because of incorrect diagnosis of their medical conditions, improper use of medicines, unnecessary dosage of medications, and conflicts of interest in the pharmaceutical industry. Incorrect diagnosis of kids medical conditions can lead to the prescription of wrong treatments and overmedication. Therefore, it is extremely important that a child is diagnosed by the correct medical specialist. The diagnosis of mental disorder in kids is not an exact science. It is so complex that the chance to get the proper medication that suits the child s condition is extremely slim. Many doctors affirm that psychiatric prescription is based on their observations of the child s behaviors. Nowadays, modern psychiatry has reached a point where even the most normal behavior and emotions of a child have been labeled ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 38. The Engineer s High Privilege Former US President and mining engineer Herbert Hoover summed up the engineering field as a calling when he wrote, Engineering is a great profession. There is a fascination of watching a figment of the imagination merge through the aid of science to a plan on paper. Then it moves to realization in stone or metal or energy. Then it brings jobs and homes... Then it elevates the standards of living and adds to the comforts of life. That is the engineer s high privilege. Although, this interpretation from Hoover is a great representation to the definition of engineering, the highest priority should stem from the glorification of God, the Creator. Utilizing such God given gifts and transforming creation into an image of new, should be done to exemplify Him and give to the greater good of society (Matthew 5:16, Jeremiah 29:7). We are witnesses to great benefits to mankind stemming from contemporary engineering development , according to the Bulletin of Engineers. They further cite that nuclear and space age that we live in, encourage the vigorous progress of science. And human technologies are developing very fast. Mechanization, automation and computerization of production processes have lessened the hazards to human physical integrity, but in spite of that state the Engineers, man s psychic and moral integrity in his working environment has been increasingly endangered. The main characters of the novel, Sean Bateman, Lauren Hynde, and Paul Denton, heavily use drugs and alcohol throughout the novel. Moreover, as the author portrays, drug and alcohol use are heavily integrated into the college campus culture, as nearly every character is using a wide assortment of drugs or alcohol readily available in the 1980s. Deans, professors, and those entrusted with the nation s children tolerate the fraternity rushes and the beer consumption at football games as an inevitable part of campus life (Califano, Tolerating a Culture of Substance Abuse , Why Students Drink and Take Drugs ). Students report that they take drugs to manage stress: CASA surveyed a nationally representative sample of 2,000 students, who said they did so to relieve stress, relax, have fun, forget their problems and be one of the gang (Califano, Why Students Drink and Take Drugs ). Yet, taking drugs to manage stress seems to have the opposite effect. Drug and alcohol use is linked to poor student academic performance, depression, anxiety, suicide, property damage, vandalism, fights and a host of medical problems (Califano, Tolerating a Culture of Substance Abuse ). The problem of rampant drug and alcohol abuse and how integrated it is within college campus life is accurately portrayed in Ellis s novel, The Rules of Attraction, and actually echo many of the statistical facts stated above. The book opens with Lauren s account of how she lost her virginity, where she was gang raped by two men from the town not enrolled in the college when she lay unconscious for most of the event, having drunk too much. • 40. Justice In Susan Glaspell s Trifles Within human society, a certain symbiotic relationship exists between the ideas of law and justice. These two concepts often correlate with one another. However, Susan Glaspell s play, Trifles , exemplified a specific instance where justice was achieved for Minnie Foster with very little regard to the law. At the same time, an paradoxical dynamic occurs for John Wright where it doesn t seem that he will obtain justiceeven with the assistance of the legal system. Colloquial English speakers often use the terms law and justice interchangeably, and many people associate the existence of one with the other. However, there are several key differences between the two on a definitive level. Laws are sets of rules and guidelines set up by governing bodies that members of society must follow. They re created by social institutions to regulate behavior, and by suppressing unfavorable behavior, fairness and equality is usually successfully maintained. Justice on the other hand, is exactly what the establishment of law making bodies are trying to achieve the equal and same treatment of all individuals based on righteousness, ethics, and morality.... The crime committed against Foster was a combination of chronic abuse and the alleged slaughter of her beloved canary. As a result, Foster got vengeance by slipping a rope around Wright s neck and killing him in his sleep. This is an example where someone obtained justice, as fairness in this case is defined by the victim of an unjust crime. In Foster s eyes, her husband s death is payment for the loss and trauma she suffered. Therefore, even though she did not obtained it through the legal system or even legal means, Foster was ultimately able to attain justice in her own ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It says a lot that the highest grossing films of all time are heavily driven by visual effects, one can infer that visual effects are now a major part of storytelling.
