traffic controller whom has been faithful to his company and job for over eight years that has
recently discovered he has sickle cell anemia, should be dismissed from his job regarding his
genetic test results. Sickle cell anaemia is the most severe form of sickle cell disease and is a
genetic disease of the red blood cells (Gibbons, 2015). Red blood cells have a disk like form
which allows them the ability to travel through blood vessels. Although in people with sickle
cell, the red blood cells form an abnormal crescent shape which makes them rigid and sticky as
shown in Diagram 3 below. This causes the sickled cells to get trapped in small vessels which
blocks blood from reaching different parts of the body leading to pain, tissue damage and many

comments has on the members of her group and even her own self. One impact that Natalie s
comments has on the band group is a personal one. An example of a personal impact being
displayed is from the stanza, I ve paid a price, and I ll keep paying (Not Ready to Make Nice).
That comment from Natalie shows a personal impact indirectly since that she, through the context
of the poem, has been paying the price of battling her conscience between the two dilemmas of
speaking out what is in her mind, or hiding it inside herself because of choosing between saying
what comes from her mind, or not saying anything, in which some people want her not to express...
Another impact that Natalie s comment has on the band is a social impact. Similarly for the
personal impact, they still have a dilemma with that impact as well in addition to Natalie having
to experience social impacts because of some people not wanting her to speak her mind as stated

figuratively, or literally to her not to speak what is from her conscience. Because of Natalie
presenting her views to the public, the band yet again has to choose between losing popularity
because of some people hating Natalies comments putting their hate on Natallie, and the people
who support her, or ditch her and not lose their popularity because of some haters of Natallie s
work. In addition to the social consequences having similar aspects to the repercussions from the
personal impact of picking between dilemmas, the social impact also is one that is challenging not
just a conscious decision that is going to affect their mind, but is going to affect their relationship
with the public as
