Reflective Essay On Internship
Throughout the course of my internship at Primerica, I met a lot of people and learn great
things. When I just started, I was uncertain if the internship was right for me. The company
primary focus is life insurance, which I had little knowledge in. It also requires persistence and
effective communication in order to build and work in a team and find clients to do business
with. I was confident in my persistency, but not in communication. However, my team
reassured me that as long as I have the will to learn and be coachable, everything will be fine. I
believed in them and used it as a motivation to push myself out of my comfort zone to achieve
my goals. As I learned more about the company and what they do, I became more excited to be a
part of it and was eager to start going into the field to help others. While I was studying for my
life insurance license, I realized that it was not as hard as I thought it would be. I was able to
receive my license on my first try and started going on training appointments with my mentors. To
make sure that I set up appointments with the right people, my mentors helped me create a small
script and show me a way to identify qualified people. At first, it was a bit challenging for me
since I do not know much people that are qualified. However, I did not let that stop me and
continue to move forward. I was also given a script to help with the presentation during an
appointment, which I was grateful to have as the backbone. During the

Argumentative Essay On Creation Vs. Evolution In Public...
Creation vs. Evolution Since the Scopes Trials came to a close, the Supreme Court enforced the
teaching no of evolution in all public schools across the US in 1987. The interesting part was that
most people believe that the Supreme Court had banned the teachings of creationism, but the
decision stated that creation is no more than how life began ( Teaching Creation, 2010). The case
that made the decision, Edwards vs. Aguillard, actually allow public schools to teach either creation
or evolution, as long as the teacher does not mention God in the picture ( Teaching Creation, 2010).
Therefore, the teaching of creation is not illegal. Up to a certain point where God is mentioned.
This fact can depict one s belief in God and how humans came... Show more content on

There is no known proof about how evolution is true as of the general public of the world know
today. Frederick Edwords states that creationist Jimmy Townley said, during the ACLU vs.
Arkansas case, that any evidence that cast doubt on evolution must be evidence for God and
creation (Edwords, 1982). The statement proves that if evolution is wrong, then it must be God
that created all, which is logical. It is logical because there is no other theory, that is known to
the general public, that claims how all living things came about so therefore it is either God or
evolution. Francis Collins, a geneticist, devoted Christian, who converted from Atheism at age
twenty seven uses a logical argument by stating If God wanted to create humans, it would be
slightly odd that He should choose the extraordinarily roundabout way of waiting ten billion
years before life got started (2006, Van Biema), which is not what God did nor would do
because the Bible says that God had created all things in six days, not ten billion years. It does
not make sense for God to create a single cell, and then let the cell evolve into a human that took
ten billion years; the reason is because God had created man in His

The Film Analysis Of Saving Private Ryan
In 2016 alone, over twenty two movies were created based on true events of World War II. These
films depict the dramatic fighting and emotional stress that fell on soldier s shoulders. Over the
years, many historic films have been created yet one movie has proven itself superior: Saving
Private Ryan. Steven Spielberg, a well known film director, first produced the movie to pay tribute
to the soldiers who fought in World War II. With many occasions of graphic and realistic scenes,
Saving Private Ryanallows viewers to gain an appreciation for the hardships troops experienced.
This film gives the audience a glimpse into the intense battles fought in World War II, while also
providing a heartfelt story about brothership and loss. Differing from the other World War II
movies, Saving Private Ryan exemplifies a true war dramawith the help of the plot, historical
accuracy, characters and setting.
The plot of Saving Private Ryan illustrates a dramatic war movie by depicting all the stages that a
war veteran experiences. Private James Ryan and Captain John Miller were chosen to undertake
those emotions and experiences. Towards the beginning of the film, the point of view switches
from Ryan to Miller when Ryan has a flashback to WWII. Through Miller s eyes the audience
experiences the pure horror of World War II. Saving Private Ryan shows the battles of Normandy
beaches where more than 10,000 American troops died alone. Spielberg used this scene in
particular to show the raw

Cause And Effect Of Chacxulub Impact
Chicxulub Impact
By Talullah Lennon
The Cause:
An Asteroid is formed in the inner solar system in a particular part called the Asteroid Belt, when
small particles of rock and metal collide with each other, and slowly build up over time. Planets
are formed the same way as asteroids, but what stops asteroids from growing and becoming a planet
is due to the gravitationally pull of Jupiter. The asteroid belt lies between Jupiter and mars.
Because of Jupiter s gravitationally pull the asteroid goes at a highly increased speed causing it
to crash into other asteroids in the belt, the result of this is either the asteroids bounce off one
another or they break off and don t stick together. The asteroid belt contains billions of asteroids in
all different sixes. Majority are reasonable small around the size of a large bolder but on occasion
there are asteroids that are humongous just like the Chicxulub asteroid

asteroid played a big part in the KT Extinction which was the extinction of almost all life on
earth, including the dinosaurs. When the bowl collapsed it left behind a 200km creator across
and a couple of km deep. Later, on the centre of the crater rebounder and collapsed again , this

Hyundai Market Strategy
Introduction Hyundai automotive distributors were established in 1967. The company has
displayed a high level of commitment to southern Africa s future from both an economic and
political point of view. There are many different types of market entry strategies that may be
implemented by a foreign firm in an emerging country. Amongst the most popular are: 1. Portfolio
Investment; 2. Export 3. Franchising 4. Licensing 5. Shared Equity/ Joint Venture The initial
market entry strategy implemented by Hyundai Korea was a joint venture. However, after
liquidation (1999), the new entry strategy for re establishment was franchising. The aim of this

For example, a joint venture can have a limited life span and only cover part of what you do,
thus limiting both your commitment and the business exposure. In the era of diversification and
consolidation, JV s offer a creative way for companies to exit from non core businesses.
Companies can gradually separate a business from the rest of the organisation, and eventually, sell
it to the other parent company. Roughly 80% of all joint ventures end in a sale by one partner to
the other. The Disadvantages of Joint Ventures It takes time and effort to build the right
relationship and partnering with another business can be challenging. Problems are likely to arise
if: The objectives of the venture are not 100 per cent clear and communicated to everyone involved.
There is an imbalance in levels of expertise, investment or assets brought into the venture by the
different partners. Different cultures and management styles result in poor integration and co
operation. The partners don t provide enough leadership and support in the early stages. Success in
a joint venture depends on thorough research and analysis of the objectives. From the above
discussion as well as the list of advantages and disadvantages associated with joint ventures it can
be seen that Hyundai should

Strong response to Emily Andrews Why I don t Spare Spare...
Emily Andrews argues in her essay Why I Don t Spare Spare Change that it does more harm than
good to give money to beggars on the street rather than giving to an organization such as United
Way to help the needy, pointing out that one cannot be certain that one is giving to a needy
individual and that by giving to a charitable organization ones money is likely to be used wisely. I
believe Andrews has set up her essay well, her title alerting the reader of the topic, having an
attention grabbing sentence in the first paragraph starting with common phrases as poor but honest
, and having a sense of her audience, taking account of how her readers feel about her arguments.
However, I do think that she has made some problematic... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Classical Greek And Roman Education
As middle ages came to an end the feudal system decayed, the western world embarked on a
transformation that would forever alter its identity. A profound change of ideologies in art, culture
and intellect sparked a revolution that dismantled medieval society and propelled European culture
into the modern era. This cultural and intellectual movement began primarily in Italyand later
spread to the rest of Europe. The period of innovative change is called The Renaissance. The word
Renaissance originates from the French word, rebirth. The Renaissance is considered a crucial
and pivotal period in Western Civilization. The cultural phenomena took hold of practically every
facet of society. However, it was largely considered a time of the resurgence of the classical Greek
and Roman education and wisdom which many believed were lost to the Middle Ages. Italian
scholars believed the middle ages to be a dark time, a time considered a period of stagnation in
which education, literature, and the arts did not progress and declined.
Humanism was the intellectual movement of the Renaissance period, in which individuals
concentrated on life in the present rather than life after death. Two major works from the period of
the Renaissance, at different ends of the spectrum, illustrated this new way of thinking; a self
consciousness to the here and now as opposed to the predominating theme or focus of the Middle
Ages, the afterlife. Giovanni Pico della Mirandola s Oration on the Dignity

The Anglo Saxon poems, The Wanderer, The Seafarer, and The Wife s Lament
The Old English, or Anglo Saxon, era of England lasted from about 450 1066 A.D. The tribes from
Germany that conquered Britain in the fifth century carried with them both the Old English
language and a detailed poetic tradition. The tradition included alliteration, stressed and unstressed
syllables, but more importantly, the poetry was usually mournful, reflecting on suffering and
loss.1These sorrowful poems from the Anglo Saxon time period are mimetic to the Anglo Saxons
themselves; they reflect the often burdened and miserable lives and times of the people who
created them. The Anglo Saxon poems, The Wanderer, The Seafarer, and The Wife s Lament, ...

The comitatus stressed the loyalty of a thane to his chieftain and treated exile and outlawry as the
most tragic lots that could befall one. This secular sense of loss is keen in The Wanderer. 6 Not
only is the loss of a lord evident in The Wanderer, but in The Seafarer and The Wife s Lament as
well.
The poem The Wanderer speaks of a man who has been exiled from his clan, and is now forced
to roam the land alone. Separation from his fellow kinsmen and lord seems to be the worst fate
imaginable. The man speaks of his great loss, remembering the time when he was happy with his
liege,
When friendships are no more. His fortune is exile,
Not gifts of fine gold; a heart that is frozen,
Earth s wisomeness dead. And he dreams of the hall men,
The dealing of treasure, the days of his youth,
When his lord bade welcome to wassail and feast.
But gone is that gladness, and never again
Shall come the loved counsel of comrade and king.
(II. 27 34)
The speaker of The Seafarer is also an outcast sailing the sea in solitude, and he speaks similarly of
his exile from his lord and kinsmen: Wretched and anxious, in the paths of exile/ Lacking dear
friends, hung round by icicles. (II. 14 15) He seems to believe that if he has lost his fellow warriors

1835 and it was a better form of transportation because it moved quicker and could hold many
more passengers, but it was also expensive and didn t always take the people to where they wanted

There were land changes that occurred during the second half of the 19th century such as the South

went to the Back Bay that was almost completely taken up by houses in 1900. Only the rich could

and they were the most aggressive expansion in the 19th century. From the 1880 s to the 1890 s
street railways took up at least six miles from City Hall in Boston. The service of the first railway
began in 1852. The first street railway in Boston would go between Harvard Square, Cambridge,
Summerville, and Union Square. The increase in the street railway brought excitement for the

Religious Beliefs And The Role Of Dress In The Religious...
Religious ideologies regarding dress are based on religious organizations individual dogmas, who
believe that your outwardly appearance should reflect your inner beliefs. Similarly, adhering to a
strict code of dress, that symbolizes its group s traditions and customs, also helps in controlling
the body s sexuality. Hunt Hurst and Miller Spillman (2012) stated that being well dressed
(modestly) is a religious duty and not a personal preference (p. 266). Dress in a matter of speaking
is an outwardly symbol of religious identification and showing ones connectedness to their religious
organization. Arthur (n.d.) believes a group identity is projected through dress because people use
self presentation and self promotion to visually present identity that is congruent with their belief
systems (Religionand Dress, para. 1). Since each religious organization perceives the role of dress,
as it pertains to the expression of identity, differently one must also understand the basis of said
religious organizations beliefs in order to comprehend how their beliefs mirror the role of dress.
Islamis a monotheistic faith, one that believes in a single God, emphasizes submission to God or
Allah, as well as the group over the individual. The Qur an, the literal word of God, lays out the
role of dress and its meaning for both men and women (Hunt Hurst Miller Spillman, 2012; Islam,
2017). According to the Qur an men are to lower their gaze and be modest, which is purer for them,

Examining how Brutus and Mark Anthony Utilise Language to Manipulate the Audience in Act 3
Scene 2 of Julius Caesar
This essay will scrutinize and analyse two speeches from Julius Caesar; firstly Brutus s funeral
oration and Mark Anthony s response in Act 3 Scene 2. Brutus as a conspirator against Caesar
addresses the audience to justify himself along with his other conspirator s actions whilst Mark
Anthony speaks in Caesar s defence and Brutus prosecution. This essay will explore how each
character uses rhetorical devices to appeal to the audience.

this in order to create a sense of support for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By purposely not using murdered in place of slain, he creates an effect on the audience to believe
that the killing of Caesar wasn t brutal and that it was for a good cause. The audience cherish
Rome, so Brutus clarifies that Rome is more important than Caesar. Brutus persuades the audience
by speaking for the good of Rome. His repetition of the personal pronoun of I shows that he is once
again distancing himself from the blame. Brutus uses this third person narrative of himself
effectively in order to convince the crowd that even if he wasn t Brutus, the loyal and trustworthy
friend of Caesar, he would of still murdered Caesar. His announcement of that he will slay himself
in order to please Rome, reinforces his love for Rome and this creates and effect on the people to
show that he is still a noble roman.
Throughout Brutus funeral oration the audience and the reader notice a structure and logic of
themes. The structure has assisted his oration to manipulate the audience in to believing his
defence and ideas. For instance Here comes his body mourned by Mark Anthony: who though he
had no hand in his death, shall receive the benefit of his dying, a place in the commonwealth .
Here Brutus is suggesting that the murder of Caesar has resulted beneficial for those who have no
role in the murder. Moreover, Brutus provides a logical justification for his and

The Contribution Of Albert And Victoria s Popularity
At first Albert was not popular with the British public because he was a foreign prince; however
that soon change when he became more involve with his new country such as taking on a
growing number of chairmanship such as the Royal Society of Arts and was active in exercising
his role. Albert was also fascinated by science, the arts, technology, trade, and industry, and he
was wholeheartedly committed to modernity and progress. His bourgeoning portfolio of non
political interests and activities helped to divert attention from his political role and the
criticism it was bound to attract in which he became popular and was best remembered The
Great Exhibition of 1851 that enhanced Britain s greatness. Albert and Victoria s popularity
soared and enhanced because of their calm composure when they were the target of two
attempted assassination attacks when she was pregnant in 1840 and 1841. They were both
popular in the fact that Victoria was the first sovereign not to go to Parliament every time she
ran into debt, however she was never in debt. Albert took advice from his private secretary and
had already begun to make money for the Queen, investing in savings in land and on the stock
market that established the basis of the royal family s private fortune. By royal and even
aristocratic standards, Victoria and Albert s marriage was a very domestic one. In the daily life of

A Study For Public Key Digital Signature Schemes
Abstract: In this proposed paper a study for public key digital signature schemes that based on
different mathematical NP hard problems. That problems influence in performance and reliability
of digital signature schemes. In this paper we make a survey on mathematical NP hard problems of
digital signature schemes and present the powerful and practical of some schemes depending on its
security level.
Introduction:
Digital signature is a verification mechanism based on the public key scheme, and it provides:
Data integrity (the assurance that data has not been changed by an unauthorized party).
Authentication (the assurance that the source of data is as claimed).
Non repudiation (the assurance that an entity cannot deny commitments). Generally, every public
key digital signature schemes is based on a mathematical problem. This problem is known as NP
(Non deterministic polynomial) hard problem. The problem is considered to be an NP hard
mathematical problem if the validity of a proposed solution can be checked only in polynomial
time. Basically, public key digital signature schemes are successfully classified into many major
types depending on the NP mathematical hard problem. These problems are the integer
factorization problem (IFP), the discrete logarithm problem (DLP), the Elliptic Curve discrete
logarithm problem (ECDLP), the chaotic maps hard problem In the present e commerce and e
government era, digital signatures have become more and more important

The New Testament Church Act 2 Essay
Act 2, gave us a vivid description of how the new testament church began. After Peter preaches on
the Pentecost day many were touched by what Peter said. Act 2 recorded that many who were
present when Peter spoke had the urgency to receive the gospel so that their sins can be forgiven.
Although many accused the disciples of being drunk the good news is that Peter was able to make
it clear that they were not drunk rather they filled with the holy spirit. Fulfilling the prophecy that
was given to the Jews by the prophets.
Act 2 : 14 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: Fellow
Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say.

29 Fellow Israelites, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and
his tomb is here to this day. 30 But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on
oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne. 31 Seeing what was to come, he
spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that he was not abandoned to the realm of the dead, nor
did his body see decay. 32 God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses to it. 33
Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has
poured out what you now see and hear.
Witherington believed that many who listened to Peter came from different parts of the word
(page 182). It seems that many who accepted peter message heed to it and probably took back the
message to their various home country to evangelize what they have heard.

Fat Sick And Nearly Dead Analysis
Hayden Yost Dr. Burns Eng 101 Nov. 15th, 2017 Is Juice Fasting Alone Enough for College
Students? Juicing has been praised as a practice capable of helping with weight loss and serving
as a first step towards a healthier lifestyle many have yet to try, but while many claims center on
the short term changes caused by the juice fast, fewer take note of the long term effects. To
determine whether such a diet would help college students, one must first look to its results,
define what a juice fast is, and its facts; including what it provides, lacks, and possible
alternatives. Juice fasting is a fad diet that first started around the 1990s (Daniel). Juicing only
attained main stream appeal around the same time as the release of the 2010 documentary Fat,

The Investigation Middle Miocene Rocks Of Siwa Oasis...
VI.2 Paleoecology and paleoenvironment: The investigated Middle Miocene rocks of Siwa Oasis
contain a rich macroinvertebrate fauna. A total of 1,618 sample were collected, dominated by
oysters (58.03%), pectinids (12.54%), echinoids (5.68%), bivalves (14.77%), and gastropods
(8.96%) (Fig. 39). Instead of their great abundance they surprisingly show a low diversity, and they
are randomly distributed all over the successions (Figs.12, 13, 15, 17). But it is noticeable that the
Oasisand Escarpment Member are more favorable for oysters and pectinids, while El Diffa
Plateau Member was dominated by gastropods (Fig. 12). In order to understand the paleoecology
and paleoenvironment of the Middle Miocene time of Siwa Oasisa detailed investigation of the
abovementioned faunal groups will be discussed.
VI.2.1 Oysters They are the most dominant element of the benthic community in the Miocene of
Egypt. Until now, oysters from the study area were only mentioned in passing by a few authors
(Gindy et al., 1969; El Shazly and Abdel Hamid, 2001). Like their modern representatives, oysters
cement themselves onto the substrate by their left valves. Most cementing bivalves are found in
shallow water environments having depths of less than 35 m (Kauffmann, 1969). Modern oysters
are typically founded in estuaries, bays, and tidal creeks from brackish water (5 parts per thousand
[ppt] salinity) to normal marine water (35 ppt salinity) (Loosanoff, 1965). They are very tolerant
organisms, able

Themes Of Fever 1793
Fever, 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson is about how yellow fever spread through Philadelphia
and caused many people to die and suffer. These are the themes for Fever 1793. The themes are
overcoming hardship, family, and suffering. I say that these are the themes because I have the
evidence. I have evidence for family on how Mattie tried to help her sick family. I have evidence
for how the second theme is overcoming hardship on how they overcame being sick. Finally I
have evidence on how the third theme is suffering because how the sick people suffered. The first
main theme of Fever 1793is family. The first piece of evidence is that Mattie was so emotionally
attached to mother that she wanted to help but they wouldn t let her.

Abstract
The first major bioterror event in the United States the anthrax attacks in October 2001 was a
clarion call for scientists who work with hot agents to find ways of protecting civilian populations
against biological weapons. In The Demon in the Freezer, his first nonfiction book since The Hot
Zone, a #1 New York Times bestseller, Richard Preston takes us into the heart of Usamriid, the
United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases at Fort Detrick, Maryland,
once the headquarters of the U.S. biological weapons program and now the epicenter of national

There are many mysteries about the smallpox virus. Since the seventeenth century, doctors have
understood that if the pustules merge into sheets across the body the victim will usually die: the
virus has split the whole skin. If the victim survives, the pustules turn into scabs and fall off,
leaving scars. This is known as ordinary smallpox.
Some people develop extreme smallpox, which is loosely called black pox. Doctors separate
black pox into two forms flat smallpox and hemorrhagic smallpox. In a case of flat smallpox, the
skin remains smooth and doesn t pustulate, but it darkens until it looks charred, and it can slip off
the body in sheets. In hemorrhagic smallpox, black, unclotted blood oozes or runs from the mouth
and other body orifices. Black pox is close to a hundred per cent fatal. If any sign of it appears in
the body, the victim will almost certainly die. In the bloody cases, the virus destroys the linings of
the throat, the stomach, the intestines, the rectum, and the vagina, and these membranes
disintegrate. Fatal smallpox can destroy the body s entire skin both the exterior skin and the interior
skin that lines the passages of the body.
Smallpox virus s scientific name is variola. It means spotted in Latin, and it was given to the
disease by a medieval bishop. The virus, as a life form, comes in two subspecies:

Hindu India vs Muslim India
At first, the aim of the Muslim League was to establish friendly relations between the Muslims and
the British Crown. After the Royal decision of the annulment of the partition of Bengal in 1911,
Muslim League saw that in order to get their requests dealt with, they need to form relations with
the Congress, the representative party of Hindus. Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the member of Congress,
also joined the Muslim League in 1913. After witnessing the annulment, he worked on a pact to
unite Muslims and Hindus which was eventually signed on 30th of December, 1916 at Lucknow.
The Congress accepted the Lucknow Pact, agreeing to the conditions presented by Muslims, such

Simon Commission was sent ahead before its decided time, as stated in the Government Act of India
1919 that a commission would be sent from Britain to India to inspect the conditions concerning the
constitutional reforms of this country. Simon commission consisted of seven members and its
chairman was Sir John Simon. The commission consisted of only British. In their Annual Session
of 1927, the Congress leaders stated that they would boycott from any activities and proposals given
by the Simon Commission.
It reached India in 1928 and received a hostile welcome here. Go Back Simon! was the slogan of
the time. Then the Viceroy, Lord Irwin pleaded with Indian leaders to cooperate with them. The
Muslim leaders like Nawab Ismaeel agreed to it as he thought that by boycotting to the commission
would promote Congress. The commission itself was secluded and appointed 3 members from the
Central Assembly, whose services will be required when needed. The Shafi League of AIML at that
time thought that by opposing Hindu boycott, they would be favored by the government. In the
end, the report submitted by Simon proposed provincial autonomy in India but rejected
parliamentary responsibility at the center. It accepted the idea of federalism and sought to retain
direct contact between the British crown and the Indian states.

Discoveries In Hermann Hesse s Siddhartha
Siddhartha s Discoveries
Happiness is something every human being strives for. Most individuals would do anything to
achieve this state. It can be as slight as having a good hair day or something as extreme as
moving to a different location. There is a certain type of happiness that is a freedom of any
trouble. This type of happiness is called peace. A very select few people will do absolutely anything
to attain this type of happiness. A young gentleman named Siddharthais one of those people. In the
book Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse, Siddhartha goes off on a journey to find inner peace.

Unfortunately, the price for his riches was his ethics. Siddhartha adapted to the environment

which is what Siddhartha called anything that was lost in the trace of regular lifestyle. He
became so dissatisfied with his life, not understanding why. He had all anyone could ask for

he realized why his life was so problematic at the time. He was dependent on only materialist

The Dodgers Change The Color Barriers In Baseball
It s the final inning of the World series. It s all tied up 3 3. The Dodgers are down to their last

and misses, but the batter isn t going down without a fight and swings at the 3rd pitch and takes it

Back in history at this time when Robinson played African Americans weren t treated equally as
white athletes. As a result, no white athletes wanted to play with African Americans. But the
Dodgers change the color barrier in baseball. By enduring a plethora of racially stimulated
challenges, Jackie Robinson made history while he broke the color barrier to become one of
greatest American baseball players to ever step on a field. History in baseball has changed a
enormous amount over the years. Everyone thinks that Jackie Robinson was the first African

Technological Progress Is A Significant Driving Force...
Technological progress is a significant driving force behind economic growth, citizen engagement
and job creation. Information and communication technologies (ICT), specifically, are restructuring
many aspects of the world s economies, governments and societies (http://www.worldbank.org/en
/topic/ict/overview, 2016). A quote from Justin Reich on MindShift comes to mind via Kwout One
simple way of understanding our pedagogical theory of iPads is that we don t want them to just
become replacements for notebooks and textbooks, we want them to be objects to think with. We
want students using them to mess around with the world around them and their courses of study.
The National Research Council s Committee on Information Technology Literacy (1999) included
intellectual capabilities as being critical to technological fluency, citing engagement in sustained
reasoning and expecting the unexpected as two of the eight key elements that enable students to
plan, design, execute, and evaluate a solution. All of these are critical aspects of higher order
thinking and rigorous thinking (Instructional Technology Department, 2016). Higher order thinking
in the context of a fast paced, knowledge based society requires both divergent and convergent
thinking. Divergent thinking uses the creativity to play what if, establishing multiple scenarios and
ideas to consider as hypotheses. Convergent thinking enables students to use sound reasoning and

Essay about Dante’s Version of Hell
In Dante s Inferno, we followed Dante as he narrates his decent and observations of hell. A
wonderful part of that depiction is his descriptions of the creative yet cruel punishments that each
of the different sinners receive. This story is an integral part of literary history, and even if I were
to have the imagination and ability of Dante Alighieri, I don t believe I would change this tried and
true version known universally.
Since I have the desire to maintain the validity of Dante s version of hell in its entirety, I will
explain the parts I found most intriguing, and why.
His use of incredible and descript wording was impressive. Dante narrates the vile stench in which
groups of men were chained to the hard floors, and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sometimes, the guards would throw a bucket of water over the stones to cleanse them; there were
however, prisoners underneath the other prisoners and the water would wash all of the excrement
and bodily fluids down through grates and drip onto the bodies of the standing prisoners who dare
not lie down and could not stand up because of the vile filth on them and around their feet
(Cantor). These are only a few descriptions of the various practices of cruelty.
The first sin that Dante describes is heresy. The penalty in the medieval era for heresy was often
public humiliation, imprisonment or to suffer death by burning. (Cantor). The punishment for the
arch heretics and those who followed them was that they be ensepulchered and to have some
heated more, some less. (Alighieri). These red hot sepulchers served as a punishment for the
heretics, causing burns. The archheretics firmly believed that everything died with the body
therefore there was no soul. So, they were punished with the hot and crowded pokers, but they
were also punished with their beliefs and they were allowed to feel what it s like to die eternally
and lie and wait until the apocalypse. This punishment is one in that was more focused on inflicting
a physical and bodily pain rather than a mental one.
Another sin whose punishment was administered with the full intention of causing great harm was

The Early Life Of Elizabeth Cady Stanton
The early life of Elizabeth Cady Stanton starts with her being the fourth child of six children.
Her mother was from a wealthy family and a big part of the political elite of New York. Stanton s
grandfather was an officer during the American Revolution under George Washington, and was a
part of New York state legislature. Her father was a member of the New York state legislature,
U.S. House of Representatives and after 1847 became a member of the Supreme Court of New
York State.
During the 1830 s Elizabeth s cousin Gerrit Smith home was stationed on the Underground
Railroad, and listening to the experiences of fugitive slaves made a lasting impression. Elizabeth
met her husband Henry Stanton at a meeting about antislavery, he was a public speaker who often
spoke out against slavery to hostile crowds, often times risking his life. When Henry proposed to
Elizabeth, her parents were less than thrilled, they opposed the marriage considering abolitionist to
be fanatics. This was the start of her feminist conscious. Elizabeth s parents did not attend her
wedding and during her ceremony she requested to have the phrase about obeying her husband
omitted, and kept her own name. Something unheard of in those days.
After Elizabeth and Henry were married they left to go to London to go to an international
antislavery convention. During this convention the male delegates voiced their concern that they
believed that association with feminism would harm the abolitionist cause and

Multiple Sclerosis Analysis
Multiple Sclerosis, or MS, is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. It causes the
destruction of the myelin sheath of nerve fibres. The myelin sheath is made up of protein and fatty
substances. It insulates our nerve fibers both in the central and peripheral nervous systems, and has
many other duties. The myelinaround the nerve fibers prevents the conduction of electrical

When learning about any disease or malfunction in human pathology, a common first question is
what is the cause of this condition? In the case of Multiple Sclerosis, this is a tough question to
answer. Simply put, the cause of multiple sclerosis is unknown.
It #39;s considered an autoimmune disease in which the body #39;s immune system attacks its
own tissues (Brassington et al, 1998). Researchers work every day to continue to get closer to
finding the cause of Multiple Sclerosis, so that we can then find a way to treat it and help those
who suffer from it. From the research outcomes we have seen so far, it seems that MS has genetic,
environmental, and immunologic variables (Brassington et al, 1998). There have also been many
interesting proposals in what the underlying cause of MS was. These possible explanations include
a slow acting virus, a delayed reaction to a common virus, or an autoimmune reaction to something
which causes the body to attack its own tissues (Brassington et al, 1998). None of those possibilities
have
been confirmed undeniably yet, so in the research community, the race to find a cause, and then a
cure, is still very much

How To Criminalize Money Laundering
Congress crafted a broad statute designed to criminalize the actions of anyone who knowingly

current money laundering statute is broad and general, there is widespread agreement that it does
not criminalize the mere act of spending money generated by the illegal criminal activity. This helps
hold the accountability for individuals engaged in criminal activity. Spending money by making a
purchase or entering into a transaction is not necessarily a crime, even if the party spending the
illegally gained money knows that the money came from illegal activities. Rather, in order to run
afoul of the law, there must be direct or circumstantial evidence

Maxim Kills Rebecca
Rebecca has been a popular gothic romance novel. The plot is traditional: A young woman, the
protagonist, ends up in a foreign setting, and must win the heart of a striking man while piecing

An example of this is when Maxim kills Rebecca the same night of a terrible storm.
This novel of suspense had two twists to it, which makes it a very well thought out story. The
story begins in Manderley and sets an foreboding atmosphere, which is typical for gothic fashion
literature. This is laid out before the flashback in the novel. Here, we begin to perceive a taste of
how sinister and supernatural the atmosphere of Manderley is, once the flashbacks of the trip to

The Relationship Between Keynes And Social Democracy Essay
Keynesianism is an economic theory believed to have been developed and propagated by John
Maynard Keynes, who was a British economist. Keynes postulated that economic growth and
reduced unemployment can be aided via the executive`s fiscal policies inclusive of spending to
reinvigorate the economy, tinkering with interest rates, and appointment of confirmed statutes on
market economics. This theory was developed in the 1930s as a way of better understanding the
Great Depression. Keynes championed for expanded government expenditures and reduced taxes
to energize demand in order to extricate the global economy out of the Depression. Since its
inception Keynesianism was connected to social democratic big government policies. Scholars
like (Barr, 2004) have realised that the relationship between Keynes and social democracy is
more composite than believed. Keynes can be referred to as the draughtsman of the main
elements of social democracy policy especially in regards to full employment but according to
(Skidelsky 2010), he did not believe in the enlargement of the welfare state and public ownership.
Neoliberalism is based on an economic and social policy that is driven by the market and the
reduction of the size of the government and giving more authority to local and state governments.
Neoliberalism advocates for the eradication of regulations imposed on the private sector by the
government, including the privatisation of services provided by the government which include

Why Students Should Required Military Service
Students participating in the required military service will find a consecrated strong work ethic and
will fashion a new set of skills that will be required to be industrious in life. The prime focus of
remedial training is to produce quality students that will be ready for college. To be ready for the
future, all remedial training students will learn basic computer coding skills. Financial classes will
be taken by the students, and will cover topics such as credit scores, credit cards, student loans,
mortgages, investments and retirement. According to the Wall Street Journal, The rate of
household borrowing through car loans, student loans, credit cards, and other types of installment
debt other than mortgages increased in the U.S. in late 2011, which could indicate that consumers
are more willing to borrow or that households have financial stress (Mitchell). Learning how to
manage debit, while saving for retirement is a dexterity that needs to be taught to young adults.
Society will embrace financial training once installment and revolving debt rates start to decrease
while retirement accounts experience intensification in ending balances. Other important classes
that will be required, will include home economics, auto, wood and metal shop. Students will also

Woolf explains the difference in success between man and woman in two parts. She first explains
that the values of women differ very often from the values of men, and goes on to say that in any
case it is the masculine values that prevail and feminine values are devalued. (Woolf, 1929, 74)
Masculine values soon became a part of society; as males were the only voices heard. Novels
discussed males during the time of war, and spoke of their discoveries and contributions to the
world. Since women s voices were silenced by the need to mimic males, society never got to see
the woman s perspectives on matters. Consequently women altered their own values in deference to
the opinion of others. (Woolf, 1929, 75) For Woolf there is a uniquely femaleway of writing a
woman s sentence. This is one of Woolf s most provocative claims. She argues that women see and
feel and value differently than men, and that because of this they must also write differently. She
praises Jane Austen, who had devised a perfectly natural, shapely sentence proper for her own use
and never departed from it. (Woolf, 1929,

Newton s second law of motion is that the rate of change regarding the momentum of an object is

Cull On Seagull
Should there be a Cull on Seagulls?
I despise seagulls. Out of all the birds that we see lots of in our lives why does it have to be the
most noisy, disruptive, ugly birds that populate our city? Wouldn t it be better if we had beautiful,
little birds that call with adorable little tweets? Quite frankly, seagulls make the town we live in
unwelcoming. With their booming squawks, troublesome rebellious lifestyles and aggressive
behaviour; I think that we would do a lot better without them.
People say that it gives you good luck to have a bird poop on you, but it is the complete opposite
in my opinion. How lucky must one be to have stinky, gooey gunk on their body? Seagulls, being
the creatures that they are, just let their load drop whenever they feel the need: landing on cars,
buildings, nature and also our washing hanging outside. I remember a particularly wonderful
memory when I was walking down the street and a seagull pooped right on the spot where my
cheek and hair meet. Which made it much more convenient that I was out with my friends, so I
had to ask the nearby shop owners for a tissue to clean it with. It would be so very pleasant to have
one day looking at the clear blue sky, rather than the flock of gulls flying above me.

An accountant that acts with reckless disregard for the consequences of their actions is said to have
committed constructive fraud. An accountant that commits fraud is liable for compensatory and
punitive damages to any foreseen person that could be injured. A fraudulent act is a false depiction
of a material fact and it is made with the objective to deceive the user. When an accountant provides
auditing and accounting services they owe a duty to their clients of reasonable care, knowledge,
skill and judgment. If an accountant breaches the duty of reasonable care, knowledge, skill, and
judgment, he or she is believed to have committed a tort which may be classified as accounting
malpractice or negligence. An accountant who commits negligence can be held liable for falling to
exercise a certain duty of care to their clients. For example, if an auditor discovers questionable
transactions while performing an audit, the accountant should investigate it and inform the client of
the results.
As a result of the case of Bily vs. Arthur Young in 1992, the Supreme Court issued a hierarchy of
duty for accountants who prepare incorrect financial statements. In order to be found liable under
ordinary negligence, an auditor must owe a duty to his or her client only. The duty expands to
receivers of the financial statements under negligent misrepresentation. The Supreme Court defined

Essay on The Bloody Chamber
The role of women in the gothic genre is as victims always subjected to male authority , compare
and contrast to which this interpretation is relevant to your three chosen texts. By Kristina Addis
Within My Last Duchess, The Bloody Chamber and Dracula, there is evidence to suggest that
women within the gothic genre as portrayed as victims of male authority, as well as evidence to
disprove this argument, instead suggesting that it is the women within the Gothic genre which
makes themselves victims. Angela Carter is particularly interested in the portrayal of women as
victims of male aggression as a limiting factor in the feminist perspective of the time [i] Carter,
with her modern twist on traditional fairytales places a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At this point she simply finds no other way but to accept the stereotypical view of a young
innocent girl in a relationship with an experienced man, another example of women being victims
of male authority. The key to the bloody chamber is the key to her selfhood and subjugation that
will ultimately kill her. The protagonist s husband clearly considers her an object of exchange and
plans to inscribe upon her his continuing tale of punishment for wives disobedience [viii] again
showing how women make themselves victims of their own behaviour, Helen Simpson s
interpretation is that I really cant see what s wrong with finding out about what the great male
fantasies about women are [ix] The heroine fights against the victimisation, and indeed reverses
role with the male in the story, as it is Marquis who dies and it is the female who leaves this
chamber and finds happiness. The Snow Child, another short story within The Bloody Chamber, is
ambiguous. In this small story there are two victims, both of them women, in this case the bloody
chamber could relate to the hole in the snow that the countess and count ride past, or it could relate
to the vagina and virginity of the girl. This expresses how the role of the women within the gothic
genre is ultimately as victims, sometimes through their naivety and innocence and sometimes
through male authority. The count sees both of the bloody chambers present as objects for his
pleasure, therefore

Benefits Of Selective Breeding And Plant Breeding
Selective breeding Selective breeding: the process by which humans use animal breeding and
plant breeding to selectively develop particular traits by choosing which typically animal or
plant males and females will reproduce and have offspring together. This is the easiest but least
effective short term way to select a preferred genotype or phenotype. Humans do this by taking a
male and female of a species, each with a desirable trait and breeding them together in the hopes
that both desirable traits will be present in the offspring. A test cross can be used with the
parents to determine whether the trait is dominant or recessive and the parents are then picked
so the correct traits will present themselves in the offspring. Domesticated animals are known as
breeds, normally bred by a professional breeder, while plants are known as varieties, cultigens, or
cultivars. Two purebred animals of different breeds produce a crossbreed, and crossbred plants
are called hybrids. The two ways of carrying out selective breeding are taking two individuals
showing extremes of desired traits and breeding them together so the traits are likely to appear in
the offspring, the other way is by controlled natural selection in which a group is penned together
and the animals can reproduce at their ow discretion without any other outside influences. Evolution
of the species Because the species that has been created through selective breeding will have
different phenotypes to the original

Islamic Microfinance And Islamic Institutions
Millions of poor practicing Muslims around the world need access to Sharia (Islamic law)
compliant financial tools. According to CGAP 2013, there are around 255 Islamic microfinance
providers in the world (Figure 1 and 2). Studies conducted in Bangladesh, Sudan and Indonesia
show that Islamic microfinance is growing at much faster rate than conventional microfinance.
TechNavio forecasts the market to grow at a CAGR of 19.7 percent over the period 2013 2018.
There is a huge opportunity for the growth of Islamic Microfinance in Pakistanas well. This sector
is scattered and there is a need for concerted effort on part of the policymakers and financial
institutions to provide diversity in products/providers and sustainable Islamic financing models.
The government of Pakistan is keen on expanding the Islamic bankingsector and it makes sense to
focus on Islamic microfinance sector at the same time.
Introduction
Microfinance institutions (MFI) have seen tremendous growth globally over the last few decades.
Microfinance helps alleviate poverty and reduce income inequality by providing small loans to
economically disadvantaged strata of the society. MFIs help poor secure microloans, who are not
part of the formal economy, are not part of the banking system and have no collaterals against
which they can borrow. A problem with microloans is the high interest rate which can, instead of
reducing poverty, exacerbate the problem. The interest rates can be as high as 31% and are

Normality In The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The...
Normality within Society
Normality is to be different. Every person is a different person. And one day you need to be
aware of your difference. Aware that you are not the same as the others. That is to be normal.
Through his quote, Alejandro Jodorowsky creates a reflection upon what he thinks the idea of
normality in society should be. ( Alejandro Jodorowsky Quotes. BrainyQuote.com). In the Curious
Incident of the Dog in the Night Time, Haddon alludes the idealistic thoughts on normality in today
s society. In the world today, society expects the individuals to conform to what is thoughtto be
normal. As humans, one strives to adapt to societal standards. Normality within society is
considered something different for those that refuse ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Next, Through Christopher s understanding of relationships, Haddon unveils the reality of the
idealistic thoughts of normality in society. Society thinks a relationship is to mutually love and
respect and trust one another. It s considered normal to show affection if you care for someone.
Christopher has an inability to express his feelings of love. And Father said, Christopher do you
understand that I love you? And I said Yes , because loving someone is helping them when they
get into trouble, and looking after them, and telling the truth, (87) Despite the normality society
has put on relationships, every person has their own opinion on how a relationship works. The
normality of relationships is only an ideal standard. Contrary to what most believe as a typical
relationship, some don t express their thoughts and feelings in the same way. Haddon shows his
readers that just because there are standards to what a relationship should be like, doesn t mean
everyone has to abide by those standards. The love Christopher s parents have for him is one
sided, they can t expect him to feel the same way. (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night
Time). Normality is a standard and the standard society has on relationships are unattainable
considering all people are different. Lastly, Haddon lets us into Christopher s world and allows us to
be able to understand Christopher. He uses Christophers language and communication to unveil the
reality of the idealistic thoughts

Taxes Essay
The less taxes we pay, the more lives we save. The United States has the highest corporate tax rate
of the 34 developed, free market nations that make up the Organization for Economic Cooperation

rate of 35% at the federal level and 39.2% state taxare accounting. This is causing thousands on
corporations to move operations out of the United Statesand into other countries. Therefore, the

To sum it up, lowering taxes on big corporations has a very big impact on the wages of the
workers and the benefit they get. The price of products will drop which can lead to the growth
of the economy if the taxes of big corporations will decrease. According to President Trump in the
third debate on Presidential Debate When the company lowers the taxes from 35% to 15% they
have more money to spend on research, development, and producing things which can lead to
growth (para.2). Therefore, companies do not need to move from and buy or sell their products
from other countries that raises the cost of their products only to avoid paying high rates here in
the United States. If they will not have to pay high rate of taxes more products will be made
here and these may cause a decreasing in the price of the products. The economy will expand
again. However, we live in a country where business is all about competition.A country where
business is pure capitalism, which means business are owned and or manage by private owners for
profits. They are only after the profits, they do not think about their consumers because we need
their products to survive so we still buy them. Even though Money is only matters when it comes to

Breathless Movie Essay
Breathless: Movie Review
A Bout de Souffle or Breathless is a movie filmed in 1960 by Jean Luc Godard. Michel Poiccard
(Jean Paul Belmondo), who also used documents of Laszlo Kovacs is a main character of the
film. The man is a fraudster (or other type of criminal) who killed a French policeman and tried to
save himself after it. Michel was a womanizer and American student Patricia Franchini became his
last partner. The woman worked in the newspaper in Paris and followed Michel during the most
part of the movie. Patricia turned the character to the police and saw how he was shot and arrested.
While the movie looked like an ordinary criminal love story, it demonstrated significant moments
for both old and modern cinematograph.
Godard used different camera styles in the Breathless. There were several direct shots at the end of
the movie. For example, there is a scene where Michel said: I want to sleep (Breathless). Patricia
also looked directly into camera at the end of the film. However, these scenes were an exception,
not the rule. Direct shots appeared occasionally, like in case when the Swedish girl posed
(Breathless 1:19:00). Most part of the Breathless was filmed from different angles, and actors did
not look straight into camera even in close ups. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

turned him to the police and was present at his shot and arrest. While the character called the girl
creep at the end of the film (Breathless 1:29:00), it did not look like Patricia wanted to hurt him,
or Michel wished to avenge. This type of relations is a thing that creates a feeling of excitement in

Alfred Von Shlieffen
Before World War I, German Chief of staff Alfred von Schlieffen was requested by Kaiser
Wilhelm II to create Germany s army a plan for a war against France and Russia. Germany could
not compete with other European powers. Surrounding states afraid of Germany s quick growth
and aggressive attitude were eager to contain it. The Kaiser sought out Schlieffen and directed him
to devise a plan that would allow Germanyto gain power and assert itself as a dominant state.
Because the Franco Russian alliance was in place at that time in 1898, Germany was unable to
attack just one of the countries and not the other. Instead, it would be forced to fight a two front
war. Wilhelm II knew that if they were attacked, Britain would come to France s defense.

  • 2. Reflective Essay On Internship Throughout the course of my internship at Primerica, I met a lot of people and learn great things. When I just started, I was uncertain if the internship was right for me. The company primary focus is life insurance, which I had little knowledge in. It also requires persistence and effective communication in order to build and work in a team and find clients to do business with. I was confident in my persistency, but not in communication. However, my team reassured me that as long as I have the will to learn and be coachable, everything will be fine. I believed in them and used it as a motivation to push myself out of my comfort zone to achieve my goals. As I learned more about the company and what they do, I became more excited to be a part of it and was eager to start going into the field to help others. While I was studying for my life insurance license, I realized that it was not as hard as I thought it would be. I was able to receive my license on my first try and started going on training appointments with my mentors. To make sure that I set up appointments with the right people, my mentors helped me create a small script and show me a way to identify qualified people. At first, it was a bit challenging for me since I do not know much people that are qualified. However, I did not let that stop me and continue to move forward. • 3. Argumentative Essay On Creation Vs. Evolution In Public... Creation vs. Evolution Since the Scopes Trials came to a close, the Supreme Court enforced the teaching no of evolution in all public schools across the US in 1987. The interesting part was that most people believe that the Supreme Court had banned the teachings of creationism, but the decision stated that creation is no more than how life began ( Teaching Creation, 2010). The case that made the decision, Edwards vs. Aguillard, actually allow public schools to teach either creation or evolution, as long as the teacher does not mention God in the picture ( Teaching Creation, 2010). Therefore, the teaching of creation is not illegal. Up to a certain point where God is mentioned. This fact can depict one s belief in God and how humans came... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There is no known proof about how evolution is true as of the general public of the world know today. Frederick Edwords states that creationist Jimmy Townley said, during the ACLU vs. Arkansas case, that any evidence that cast doubt on evolution must be evidence for God and creation (Edwords, 1982). The statement proves that if evolution is wrong, then it must be God that created all, which is logical. It is logical because there is no other theory, that is known to the general public, that claims how all living things came about so therefore it is either God or evolution. Francis Collins, a geneticist, devoted Christian, who converted from Atheism at age twenty seven uses a logical argument by stating If God wanted to create humans, it would be slightly odd that He should choose the extraordinarily roundabout way of waiting ten billion years before life got started (2006, Van Biema), which is not what God did nor would do because the Bible says that God had created all things in six days, not ten billion years. It does not make sense for God to create a single cell, and then let the cell evolve into a human that took ten billion years; the reason is because God had created man in His ... • 4. The Film Analysis Of Saving Private Ryan In 2016 alone, over twenty two movies were created based on true events of World War II. These films depict the dramatic fighting and emotional stress that fell on soldier s shoulders. Over the years, many historic films have been created yet one movie has proven itself superior: Saving Private Ryan. Steven Spielberg, a well known film director, first produced the movie to pay tribute to the soldiers who fought in World War II. With many occasions of graphic and realistic scenes, Saving Private Ryanallows viewers to gain an appreciation for the hardships troops experienced. This film gives the audience a glimpse into the intense battles fought in World War II, while also providing a heartfelt story about brothership and loss. Differing from the other World War II movies, Saving Private Ryan exemplifies a true war dramawith the help of the plot, historical accuracy, characters and setting. The plot of Saving Private Ryan illustrates a dramatic war movie by depicting all the stages that a war veteran experiences. Private James Ryan and Captain John Miller were chosen to undertake those emotions and experiences. Towards the beginning of the film, the point of view switches from Ryan to Miller when Ryan has a flashback to WWII. Through Miller s eyes the audience experiences the pure horror of World War II. Saving Private Ryan shows the battles of Normandy beaches where more than 10,000 American troops died alone. Spielberg used this scene in particular to show the raw ... Cause And Effect Of Chacxulub Impact Chicxulub Impact By Talullah Lennon The Cause: An Asteroid is formed in the inner solar system in a particular part called the Asteroid Belt, when small particles of rock and metal collide with each other, and slowly build up over time. Planets are formed the same way as asteroids, but what stops asteroids from growing and becoming a planet is due to the gravitationally pull of Jupiter. The asteroid belt lies between Jupiter and mars. Because of Jupiter s gravitationally pull the asteroid goes at a highly increased speed causing it to crash into other asteroids in the belt, the result of this is either the asteroids bounce off one another or they break off and don t stick together. • 8. The Classical Greek And Roman Education As middle ages came to an end the feudal system decayed, the western world embarked on a transformation that would forever alter its identity. A profound change of ideologies in art, culture and intellect sparked a revolution that dismantled medieval society and propelled European culture into the modern era. This cultural and intellectual movement began primarily in Italyand later spread to the rest of Europe. The period of innovative change is called The Renaissance. The word Renaissance originates from the French word, rebirth. The Renaissance is considered a crucial and pivotal period in Western Civilization. The cultural phenomena took hold of practically every facet of society. However, it was largely considered a time of the resurgence of the classical Greek and Roman education and wisdom which many believed were lost to the Middle Ages. Italian scholars believed the middle ages to be a dark time, a time considered a period of stagnation in which education, literature, and the arts did not progress and declined. Humanism was the intellectual movement of the Renaissance period, in which individuals concentrated on life in the present rather than life after death. Two major works from the period of the Renaissance, at different ends of the spectrum, illustrated this new way of thinking; a self consciousness to the here and now as opposed to the predominating theme or focus of the Middle Ages, the afterlife. • 12. Religious Beliefs And The Role Of Dress In The Religious... Religious ideologies regarding dress are based on religious organizations individual dogmas, who believe that your outwardly appearance should reflect your inner beliefs. Similarly, adhering to a strict code of dress, that symbolizes its group s traditions and customs, also helps in controlling the body s sexuality. Hunt Hurst and Miller Spillman (2012) stated that being well dressed (modestly) is a religious duty and not a personal preference (p. 266). Dress in a matter of speaking is an outwardly symbol of religious identification and showing ones connectedness to their religious organization. Arthur (n.d.) believes a group identity is projected through dress because people use self presentation and self promotion to visually present identity that is congruent with their belief systems (Religionand Dress, para. 1). Since each religious organization perceives the role of dress, as it pertains to the expression of identity, differently one must also understand the basis of said religious organizations beliefs in order to comprehend how their beliefs mirror the role of dress. That problems influence in performance and reliability of digital signature schemes. In this paper we make a survey on mathematical NP hard problems of digital signature schemes and present the powerful and practical of some schemes depending on its security level. Introduction: Digital signature is a verification mechanism based on the public key scheme, and it provides: Data integrity (the assurance that data has not been changed by an unauthorized party). Authentication (the assurance that the source of data is as claimed). Non repudiation (the assurance that an entity cannot deny commitments). Generally, every public key digital signature schemes is based on a mathematical problem. This problem is known as NP (Non deterministic polynomial) hard problem. The problem is considered to be an NP hard mathematical problem if the validity of a proposed solution can be checked only in polynomial time. Basically, public key digital signature schemes are successfully classified into many major types depending on the NP mathematical hard problem. Juicing has been praised as a practice capable of helping with weight loss and serving as a first step towards a healthier lifestyle many have yet to try, but while many claims center on the short term changes caused by the juice fast, fewer take note of the long term effects. To determine whether such a diet would help college students, one must first look to its results, define what a juice fast is, and its facts; including what it provides, lacks, and possible alternatives. Since the seventeenth century, doctors have understood that if the pustules merge into sheets across the body the victim will usually die: the virus has split the whole skin. If the victim survives, the pustules turn into scabs and fall off, leaving scars. This is known as ordinary smallpox. Some people develop extreme smallpox, which is loosely called black pox. Doctors separate black pox into two forms flat smallpox and hemorrhagic smallpox. In a case of flat smallpox, the skin remains smooth and doesn t pustulate, but it darkens until it looks charred, and it can slip off the body in sheets. In hemorrhagic smallpox, black, unclotted blood oozes or runs from the mouth and other body orifices. Black pox is close to a hundred per cent fatal. If any sign of it appears in the body, the victim will almost certainly die. In the bloody cases, the virus destroys the linings of the throat, the stomach, the intestines, the rectum, and the vagina, and these membranes disintegrate. Fatal smallpox can destroy the body s entire skin both the exterior skin and the interior skin that lines the passages of the body. Smallpox virus s scientific name is variola. It means spotted in Latin, and it was given to the disease by a medieval bishop. The virus, as a life form, comes in two subspecies: ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In their Annual Session of 1927, the Congress leaders stated that they would boycott from any activities and proposals given by the Simon Commission. It reached India in 1928 and received a hostile welcome here. Go Back Simon! was the slogan of the time. Then the Viceroy, Lord Irwin pleaded with Indian leaders to cooperate with them. The Muslim leaders like Nawab Ismaeel agreed to it as he thought that by boycotting to the commission would promote Congress. The commission itself was secluded and appointed 3 members from the Central Assembly, whose services will be required when needed. The Shafi League of AIML at that time thought that by opposing Hindu boycott, they would be favored by the government. Information and communication technologies (ICT), specifically, are restructuring many aspects of the world s economies, governments and societies (http://www.worldbank.org/en /topic/ict/overview, 2016). A quote from Justin Reich on MindShift comes to mind via Kwout One simple way of understanding our pedagogical theory of iPads is that we don t want them to just become replacements for notebooks and textbooks, we want them to be objects to think with. We want students using them to mess around with the world around them and their courses of study. The National Research Council s Committee on Information Technology Literacy (1999) included intellectual capabilities as being critical to technological fluency, citing engagement in sustained reasoning and expecting the unexpected as two of the eight key elements that enable students to plan, design, execute, and evaluate a solution. All of these are critical aspects of higher order thinking and rigorous thinking (Instructional Technology Department, 2016). A wonderful part of that depiction is his descriptions of the creative yet cruel punishments that each of the different sinners receive. This story is an integral part of literary history, and even if I were to have the imagination and ability of Dante Alighieri, I don t believe I would change this tried and true version known universally. Since I have the desire to maintain the validity of Dante s version of hell in its entirety, I will explain the parts I found most intriguing, and why. His use of incredible and descript wording was impressive. Dante narrates the vile stench in which groups of men were chained to the hard floors, and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These are only a few descriptions of the various practices of cruelty. The first sin that Dante describes is heresy. The penalty in the medieval era for heresy was often public humiliation, imprisonment or to suffer death by burning. (Cantor). The punishment for the arch heretics and those who followed them was that they be ensepulchered and to have some heated more, some less. (Alighieri). When learning about any disease or malfunction in human pathology, a common first question is what is the cause of this condition? In the case of Multiple Sclerosis, this is a tough question to answer. Simply put, the cause of multiple sclerosis is unknown. It #39;s considered an autoimmune disease in which the body #39;s immune system attacks its own tissues (Brassington et al, 1998). Researchers work every day to continue to get closer to finding the cause of Multiple Sclerosis, so that we can then find a way to treat it and help those who suffer from it. From the research outcomes we have seen so far, it seems that MS has genetic, environmental, and immunologic variables (Brassington et al, 1998). There have also been many interesting proposals in what the underlying cause of MS was. These possible explanations include a slow acting virus, a delayed reaction to a common virus, or an autoimmune reaction to something which causes the body to attack its own tissues (Brassington et al, 1998). • 34. The Relationship Between Keynes And Social Democracy Essay Keynesianism is an economic theory believed to have been developed and propagated by John Maynard Keynes, who was a British economist. Keynes postulated that economic growth and reduced unemployment can be aided via the executive`s fiscal policies inclusive of spending to reinvigorate the economy, tinkering with interest rates, and appointment of confirmed statutes on market economics. This theory was developed in the 1930s as a way of better understanding the Great Depression. Keynes championed for expanded government expenditures and reduced taxes to energize demand in order to extricate the global economy out of the Depression. Since its inception Keynesianism was connected to social democratic big government policies. Scholars like (Barr, 2004) have realised that the relationship between Keynes and social democracy is more composite than believed. Keynes can be referred to as the draughtsman of the main elements of social democracy policy especially in regards to full employment but according to (Skidelsky 2010), he did not believe in the enlargement of the welfare state and public ownership. Neoliberalism is based on an economic and social policy that is driven by the market and the reduction of the size of the government and giving more authority to local and state governments. Novels discussed males during the time of war, and spoke of their discoveries and contributions to the world. Since women s voices were silenced by the need to mimic males, society never got to see the woman s perspectives on matters. Consequently women altered their own values in deference to the opinion of others. (Woolf, 1929, 75) For Woolf there is a uniquely femaleway of writing a woman s sentence. The protagonist s husband clearly considers her an object of exchange and plans to inscribe upon her his continuing tale of punishment for wives disobedience [viii] again showing how women make themselves victims of their own behaviour, Helen Simpson s interpretation is that I really cant see what s wrong with finding out about what the great male fantasies about women are [ix] The heroine fights against the victimisation, and indeed reverses role with the male in the story, as it is Marquis who dies and it is the female who leaves this chamber and finds happiness. The Snow Child, another short story within The Bloody Chamber, is ambiguous. In this small story there are two victims, both of them women, in this case the bloody chamber could relate to the hole in the snow that the countess and count ride past, or it could relate to the vagina and virginity of the girl. The count sees both of the bloody chambers present as objects for his pleasure, therefore ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. Benefits Of Selective Breeding And Plant Breeding Selective breeding Selective breeding: the process by which humans use animal breeding and plant breeding to selectively develop particular traits by choosing which typically animal or plant males and females will reproduce and have offspring together. This is the easiest but least effective short term way to select a preferred genotype or phenotype. Humans do this by taking a male and female of a species, each with a desirable trait and breeding them together in the hopes that both desirable traits will be present in the offspring. A test cross can be used with the parents to determine whether the trait is dominant or recessive and the parents are then picked so the correct traits will present themselves in the offspring. Domesticated animals are known as breeds, normally bred by a professional breeder, while plants are known as varieties, cultigens, or cultivars. Two purebred animals of different breeds produce a crossbreed, and crossbred plants are called hybrids. The two ways of carrying out selective breeding are taking two individuals showing extremes of desired traits and breeding them together so the traits are likely to appear in the offspring, the other way is by controlled natural selection in which a group is penned together and the animals can reproduce at their ow discretion without any other outside influences. Evolution of the species Because the species that has been created through selective breeding will have different phenotypes to the original ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Christopher has an inability to express his feelings of love. And Father said, Christopher do you understand that I love you? And I said Yes , because loving someone is helping them when they get into trouble, and looking after them, and telling the truth, (87) Despite the normality society has put on relationships, every person has their own opinion on how a relationship works. The normality of relationships is only an ideal standard. Contrary to what most believe as a typical relationship, some don t express their thoughts and feelings in the same way. Haddon shows his readers that just because there are standards to what a relationship should be like, doesn t mean everyone has to abide by those standards. The love Christopher s parents have for him is one sided, they can t expect him to feel the same way. (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time).
