The play Everyman , was written in the late 15th century and is the only play that is based
totally on morality. The play is meant to look at moral lessons and is written about a person, no
one even knows his name, who is standing for all men and looks at the journey of his life. This
play has a lot of different characters that come and go out of Everyman s life. Characters that he
wants to go on his journey, but they are not able to go. This play offers some humor as well, which
may hard to tellwhen reading it. One of them is when Everyman tries to make a deal with the
Devil for his life, which does not turn out well. Everyman has been compared to different plays

The film, The Help was a great movie but it was definitely an eye opener for me because as we
research different eras we find that circumstances for Black women were always at the hands of
someone else. Black women were referred to as Negros in this era and sometimes were called
more derogatory names, that we need not mention. Blacks were not allowed to drink cokes, and
were punished if they were caught drinking it. Unfortunately, Black women were mothers to their
own children and they had to be mothers to the white children that they cared for. Black women
had to leave their children with someone else while they cared for the white children. The

A Passover Seder Remembering how to pronounce Seder ( SAY dur ) correctly made me
nervous at first, but there wasn t really any cause for me to say it. There was such a whirlwind of
activity that I spent most of my time simply trying to keep up as new foods were brought to the
table or unveiled, the many steps of a long dinner ceremony were described and engaged in, and
certain religious songs or hymns were sung. A book was provided to everyone at the table, with
English on one side of the page and Hebrew on the other, that was used to go through the
ceremony one step at a time. All of the foods were unusual in sight, smell, and taste, but most
were quite delicious (with some exceptions), and everyone had pillows to lean against at the
dinner table which was akward at first but quickly became enjoyable. Everything, from each
individual food item to the pillows to the drinking of wine (or grape juice) and the order of the
entire meal carried some sort of significance, and was described during the meal according to the
