family owned South Australian based beer producer. Coopers is a public company which is not
listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, currently holding a 3.4% market share of the Australian
beer market (Coopers Chairman s Report, 2009). Its major competitors are the Fosters Group and

COMPANY ANALYSIS SWOT PESTLE The SWOT analysis (Appendix 1) shows that Coopers
has a competitive advantage in the company s style of advertising and its crafted beers position.
The main threats are from being a small niche player and having no imported beer products. In
simple terms, niche (marketing) can be defined as fulfilling the needs of a tightly defined market
segment (Kotler and Keller 2006). Through its products, Coopers focuses on various niches, but the
principal market for its main product group consists of those drinkers aged over 35 for whom
product quality is important and price is not a primary consideration. From PESTLE (Appendix 2)
the key findings are: Compliance and understanding of the implications and ever evolving laws
associated with manufacturing and distribution of alcohol (e.g. excise duties increases).
Implementation of innovative technology. This is evidenced through its state of the art brewing,
bottling and manufacturing robotics in the Regency Park plant. Fulfilment of environmental
obligations through eco friendly plant and processes to reduce its carbon footprint. This was
recognised and awarded by the South Australian

Effects Of Internet Addiction
The Internet and technology are fascinating and captivating resources of information that have
become a seemingly indispensable part of our daily life. The technology that provided for the
creation of the internet has also advanced almost every electronic and mechanical device we use,
and the manner in which the Internetis accessed and technology are employed has established an
ever expanding reliance on it for information, social interaction, and entertainment. However, with
all of the benefits of technology and the Internet, there is also the rising awareness that there the
dangers and instances of disorder and addiction.
When one thinks of addiction, the mind automatically conjures the images of someone who is
suffering from a chemical dependency. But just as chemicals provide an alternate reality, the
Internet presents an ability to create an alternate life or virtual persona that only resides in the
protocols and URL s found on the computer.
One definition of addiction is a chronic dysfunction of the brain system that involves reward,
motivation, and memory. It s about the way your body craves a substance or behavior, especially if
it causes a compulsive or obsessive pursuit of reward and lack of concern over consequences.
(Tyler 2016) So can there be such a thing as internet addiction? And is it something society should
be concerned with? Addiction in any form is an issue that affects every country in the world, and
those who suffer from addiction are subjected

The Negative Effects Of Improper Waste Management
Red=subject to change She s sitting in a cold and dark room looking outside. If the world knew
about the consequences of their actions, she would have a different view. The impact of new
technology and lack of proper waste management has been drastic on our home planet, planet
Earth. Technology has been evolving greatly, and as technology has been evolving, another issue
has arisen, the lack of proper waste disposal. Improper waste disposal is when items which belong
in a certain area, are incorrectly being disposed of. For example, a plastic water bottle being
thrown out in the garbage instead of the recycling. Advancements in technology and improper
waste disposal both have harmful causes on the Earth, negatively impact humanhealth, and cause an
effect on the economy. For thousand s of years, humans have been working to evolve technology to
what it is today, but little do they realize the effects it has on our Earth. Most of these technological
advancements require fossil fuels, and thus these advancements reduce the amount of fossil fuels
we have left. This greatly endangers the Earth, as carbon dioxide is released into the air when the
fossil fuels are burned(1). This ultimately harms the environment. Technological advancements, like
industrialization, have contributed greatly to the surplus amount of greenhouse gases being
omitted(3 ). A study by a National Geographic researcher proves that as the technological
advancements made become greater, so do the negative

Electronic Warfare Analysis Paper
Electronic Warfare Analysis of Army SINCGARS Radios Operation tempo in cyber and
electronic warfare can be described by the OODA (Observe Orient Decision Action) loop
decision making process (Pace). The steps occupy a logical order of electronic attack or defense.
First, a particular electromagnetic characteristic is observed by either human or electronic
operators. For example, a spike in a frequency known to be used by the enemy, indicating a
potential target for electronic attack, or a sudden increase in noise on friendly systems which could
indicate jamming by an adversary. Orientation is the allocation of resources to either exploit or
counter the observed characteristic, such as reconfiguring analog or digital tuners, clocks, or filters

This would render conversation intelligible, as every second of transmission would include a
static burst that would cause information to be lost. In mathematical terms, this means the 25
kHz wide jamming signal must sweep through the entire bandwidth every second. With 2320
channels, this yields a required tempo for the jammer as: 0.43 ms. The required operational
tempo to effectively jam the SINCGARS radio is much higher than operational tempo required
to frequency hop. This can be explained by looking at the bandwidth cost for the hopped radio
and the swept jammer. The radio hops 111 times per second, with each hop being a distinct
channel, but has 2320 channels to choose from. Each second only uses a small part of the total
bandwidth, specifically 2.7 MHz out of an available 58 MHz. In contrast, the jammer is blind to
the hop pattern, and must sweep over the entire 58 MHz once a second to have a chance of
interrupting at least one

The Pros And Cons Of Student Athletes Paid
Every year, thousands of student athletes across the world sign the NCAA s 08 3A Form, also
called the Student Athlete form, which waives their right to receive money for the use of their
name and image. Like many of us in this class, these college athletes devote their time to their
academics while spending additional hours with training and practices throughout the day and
receive no stipend in return. This 08 3A form defines college athletes as amateurs, who cannot
receive payment for playing their desired sport. While their schools and coaches may make
millions of dollars in salaries and endorsement deals and are the highest paid public employees in
many states due to their performances in their desired sport, these amateurs can never... Show more

A fair policy is one that treats every student the same. For example, The Butler School of Music at
the UT Austin has many student musicians who perform at the professional level and advises its
students on how to negotiate a contract and get paid for their performances according to the
website. Another example would be actress Emma Watson, who enrolled at Brown Universityin
Rhode Island, was able to work on the set of the Harry Potter movies while attending the school s
theatre department. Can you imagine Brown University officials telling Watson that she would
have to make the next two Harry Potter films for free instead of making five million dollars that
she was offered? ((Zimbalist). Compared to musicians and actors, student athletes have a greater
need to obtain money while they are still in college. Their professional careers are likely to be
much shorter due to the wearing and tearing of your body. Second, college may be the only time
some student athletes have the chance to take advantage of their success. Student athletes often
leave school with permanent injuries and no medical insurance or job prospects, whereas musicians
and actors rarely suffer career ending injuries on the job (Zimbalist). We see how musicians and
actors can profit from their talents so athletes should have the same

Paul Bogard Let There Be Dark Summary
In a world of ever growing developments, the blight of artificial lights is conquering the
darkness of the night. To some, the fading darkness presents a major catastrophe towards human
health, the ecosystem, and culture in general. One of these people is Paul Bogard. In his article,
let there be dark, Bogard cleverly utilized devices such as statistics, imagery, and research
findings across the world to illustrate that the removal of darkness from our nights only causes
severe problems. Bogard first introduced the topic with a personal anecdote that described his
experiences with darkness as a child. Imagery such as hands disappeared before my eyes and
meteors left smoky trails evoked nostalgia among the readers. Suddenly, Bogard transitions from
the romantic descriptions of the past night sky to cold hard statistics of the current generation.
Statistics indicates that only 2/10 children in the US will know a sky dark enough for the Milky
Way, brining awareness to the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Bogard first discusses the World Health Organization and the American Medical Association s
consensus on the health disorders caused by the lack of darkness. Diseases ranging from minor
ailments such as sleep disorders to severe chronic issues such as diabetes, heart disease, and even
cancer all root from the lack of darkness. Not only does the lack of darkness has taken a toll on
some people s health, but the reduction has caused ecological collapse in parts of the world.
Bogard clearly presents the point that many animal and plant species rely on the darkness of the
night to perform their role in the ecosystem. Ecological functions such as pollination and pest
control would simply collapse under light pollution, the bulldozer of the night. Bogard presented
such dire consequences to reestablish his point about the removal of

a key role of department of pathology for skills and knowledge development in medical students.
Skills and knowledge development are depends on the perception of medical students. Perception is
always evaluated by the assessment during the course. There are two forms of assessments in
medical education: formative and summative; and two types of examinations, one is theory

The Rationale For The Choice Of Title Essay
1.0Title and the Rationale for the Choice of Title The title of this training program is Say No to
Sexual Harassment . Sexual harassment means undesirable or unwelcome sexual conduct which
makes people feel annoyed, embarrassed or scared (University of Minnesota 2015). Normally,
female employees are most likely to be the pity victims of sexual harassment. However, male
employees can be the victims too. Appendix 5 shows the snapshot of statistics about sexual
harassmentin the workplace.
For most female today, it is important to get a job in order to be successful and independent
women. It is a transformation from past decades. The amount of female employees in the
workplace is getting more and more. In Malaysia, female employees consist of 38.60 % of total
labor force in 2013. By comparing to 1990, involvement of women in the workplace has
increased 1.1% (Trading Economics 2015). Appendix 6 shows the percentages of female
workforce in the workplace in Malaysia in different years. Since involvement of women in the
workplace is getting more and more, we believe that sexual harassment against female employees
will increase.
The aim of this training program is to help trainees understand sexual harassment more in the
workplace. Sexual harassment is part of the sex discrimination (Australian Human Rights
Commission 2015). Sexual harassment in the workplace becomes a common issue in this world.
Therefore, sexual harassment training must give to all

electrophoresis has been used to separate and identify many kinds of proteins including О±
lactalbumin and ОІ lactoglobulin. Both proteins can be derived from bovine milk. Skim milk was
centrifuged with a variance in pH to precipitate casein proteins. Whey material was filtered and
eluted through a Sephadex G 50 column. UV Spectrophotometric analysis confirmed the presence
of the protein within the fractions. Separation and identification of О± lactalbumin and ОІ

fraction number. These peaks occurred at fraction number 43 and fraction number 50, with
absorbances close to 1. Around these fraction numbers was where the largest elution of protein
and likely О± lactalbumin was present. Due to high amino acid content of phenylalanine,
tryptophan, and tyrosine, absorbance occurs at 280 nm. The high 280 nm absorbance would
suggest a higher amount of protein elution in the fraction. The early fraction numbers had
significantly high absorbance between fractions 4 and 9. This was due to quick mobility of the
protein through the sephadex column during the size exclusion chromatography before fractions
were gathered. The absorbance of the protein fragments: 7, 8, and 9 were all between 0.59 and
0.62. Protein fragments with absorbance values above 0.5 had a noticeable amount of desirable
protein within the fraction. The electrophoresis gel was labeled in comparison with a pre stained
protein ladder as shown in Figure 2. The 10 kDa served as a base for the accuracy of the other
protein ladder measurements. The 17 kDa measurement on the protein ladder was compared with
the band values of the protein fractions. О± lactalbumin has a molecular weight of 14.2 kDa. The
second protein band that eluted from the fractions in the gel was significantly close to 14 kDa in
comparison with the 17 kDa measurement, revealing that О± lactalbumin was present in the
fractions. ОІ lactoglobulin

The Valiant Five
The Famous Five, or Valiant Five, was not only made up of five strong, independent women, but
five role models. It started with Emily Murphy, a bright woman from Cookstown, Ontario, who
was determined to make a difference for women all over Canada. She enlisted four other activists,
Nellie McClung, Louise McKinney, Henrietta Edwards, and Irene Parlby, who would help her on
her journey to get women legally recognised as persons in Canada. Although the five made history
together, they each have very unique backstories and each of these women have helped to make a
significant difference in the lives of women for many years to come.
Emily Murphy was a women s rights activist and a feminist. She made history by becoming the first
female judge in Canada for the British Empire, which opened numerous opportunities for other
women. She challenged the idea that women were more than just housewives. Before this
movement, though, she was a writer, best known for her humour and great concern for the welfare
of women and children. After Murphy got married, her and her husband took a trip to the
countryside, where she encountered a women who had been left in poverty due to her husband

Yu-Gi-Oh Game Analysis
1.In the game of Yu Gi Oh, there is a lot of give and take when it comes to cards. When
determining whether a card is good or not, I often look at just the good parts of the effect and
not the drawbacks. For example, there is a card called Card of Demise. This card allows you to
draw until you have 3 cards in your hand, but you cannot do damage to your opponent for the rest
of the turn, you send your entire hand to the Graveyard during the End Phase, and you cannot
Special Summon during the turn you activate this card. While there are some clear negatives to

The Horrendous Suffering Faced by Dave Pelzer
American author, Dave Pelzer, grew up in San Francisco with his mother, father, and brothers.
Dave s mother was not like a normal mother, Dave s mother, Catherine Pelzer, beat and neglected
Dave. Dave also had 4 brothers that lived with him and his parents: Richard, Ron, Stephen, and
Kevin. Dave s father lived with them, but was rarely home. While Catharine did not neglectDave s

Dave s mother, Catharine Pelzer, was the mother of Dave and his brothers and the wife to
Stephen. Catharine was an alcoholic, who was also mentally unstable, and who by no means
was in the position to care for children. Catharine neglected Dave to an extreme extent; many of
the things she did to Dave could have easily killed him (Pelzer). Dave was no longer considered a

Gender And Prime Time From An Early Age
Gender and Prime Time From an early age we learn the differences between girls and boys. Girls
like pink, boys like blue. Girls play with dolls, boys play in the dirt. While these definitions seem
harmless they become much more complex as girls and boys grow to women and men. Women
become emotional mothers and housekeepers while men become firm professionals. Where do we
get these stereotypes? Many would argue that one of the most influential sources of gender
stereotyping is television, the main cultural storyteller in the United States (Emons, Wester, and
Scheepers 40). In most developed countries television has the widest reach of any medium and it
can, and does, intensely influence opinions of all ages of viewers. The average time per person per
week spent involved with television is around 31 hours in the US. That is a number higher than
most European countries like Britain, France, and Germany (Furnham and Bitar 297). Female
characters on TV are depicted as younger, unemployed, and are more likely to be married while
malecharacters reveal much less information about family and marital status and are more likely
to be seen in occupational roles. One popular trend in television right now is crime TV. CSI in
particular was the top rated show in the US from 2002 to 2005 according to Nielsen Media
Research and is the only crime drama to ever top the Nielsen ratings (Lavigne 385). Gender and
sexuality are not the main focus of CSI but their ambiguity could perhaps be

Physical Therapy And Mental Therapy Essay
Physical therapy has been a crucial and exciting part of my life since my junior year of high
school. I have experienced physical therapy in multiple settings and from the perspective of a
patient and therapist. Each inspiring experience has strengthened my desire to become a physical
therapist, in my pursuit to help people in the most wholesome way.
I have had the pleasure of working closely with a physical therapist from Crossroads Physical
Therapy through my years of exploring this profession. Dr. King was my therapist, and I was also
lucky enough to observe her practice with her other patients. While I was a patient, I was able to
see firsthand how the treatments were executed. I could feel how precise each body movement and
hand placement was. Everything that was done had a purpose and I could feel my muscles respond
to the treatment with the guidance of the therapist s hands. I have been to physical therapy for
multiple reasons over the past several years, for things such as knee subluxations and gait
impairments, but I remember the treatments regarding my sacral torsion vividly. Due to the
misalignment of my sacrum, I had a great deal of tension in my hips and the lumbar region of my

The Long Arm Short Story Analysis
Mary E. Wilkins Freeman s short story The Long Arm is based on the famous Lizzie Borden
narrative, following the prominent story of a daughter being accused of the murder of her miserly
father. Both Lizzie and her fictional counterpart, Sarah Fairbanks, were made to look guilty based
on the destruction (or alteration, in Sarah s case) of a dress that was thought to hold incriminating
evidence. However, they both were acquitted based on a lack of compelling evidence against them.
Despite these similarities, Freeman did change some aspects of the tale in order to provide a
commentary on genderand more closure than the Borden case provided. In the story, Freeman
provided Sarah a love interest (whom her father disapproved of), which offered her an additional
motive. The forlorn lover, Henry, gave authorities another possible suspect in the case. While
there has been some speculation of Lizzie having a secret lover, no theories have been proven,
and certainly no romantic interests were accused of the murders. Another addition to The Long
Arm was a clear confession of guilt at the end of the story, including a clear motive and step by
step depiction of the whole ordeal. Freeman also excluded prominent figures from her version of
the narrative, such as Abby Borden (Lizzie s stepmother and second murder victim), Emma Borden
(Lizzie s older sister), and Bridget (the family maid).
Even though Freeman took some creative liberties in regards to the Borden tragedy, the story shared

Contribution Of Steve Wozniak
Engineer, inventor, computer programmer are three elements that describe Steve Wozniak. Many
people know that Steve Wozniak was an engineer of Apple, but he was so much more. As a well

their daily lives. His legacy showed us to not give up when you fail.
The early life of Steve Wozniak s call to change started when he figured out that people could not
afford to buy a lot of technology, and decided he wanted to help. His parents taught him to always

Phychoanalysis In Sigmund Freud s Totem And Taboo
The book titled Totem and Taboo is a English translation of few articles from its German origin
which was first published in the journal Imago in 1913 depicting Sigmund Freud s interpretation of
a number of ethnic phenomena in light of psychoanlysis centring around the lives and customs of
primitive people and the savages form around the world, like Australia, New Zealand, Africa and so
on. In this book Freud attempts to interpret the culture, ethics and religion in light of psychoanalysis

Freud assumes that repressed incestuous desires between family members are most likely the
explanation for all avoidances, as evident from his extensive studies. The first love objects for
infants are their family members, particularly the boy for his mother (Oedipus complex) and then
his sister if he has one, but these are always repressed. In most cases the boy successfully
substitutes other women outside the family for these original choices, but neurotic patients fails to
get over these conflicts and fixate on an earlier stage; he has either failed to get free from the
psycho sexual conditions that prevailed in his childhood or he has returned to them. In civilized
societies, this condition is relatively rare, but Freud speculates that in primitive or savage societies
sexual desires have not been as successfully sublimated as in modern Europe, such that the equation
between primitives, savages, and neurotics seems to him justified by the available evidence. Freud
based many of his theories including unconscious impulses on the subject of dreams. He asserts that
these ideas derive from dreams that are then projected to the natural world through instinctual
repression. Freud emphasised that religion was a form of guilt used to cope with the Oedipus

Twelfth Night Madness Essay
In a Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare there are many themes portrayed but the most
prevalent was the topic of madness. The play Twelfth Night shows us that madness is merely a
perception. This will be proved by three main proofs as seen in the play. These proofs are;
Sebastian s view of Olivia and himself, the household s view of Malvolio, and Orsino s descent
into madness . Various paraphernalia from the play such as quotes and examples from the play will
be used to demonstrate the perceived changes of madness towards these characters.
To begin, Sebastian s constantly fluent view of Olivia will be explored. When Sebastian first

Orsino continues to fervently pursue Olivia throughout Twelfth Night by giving Cesario

may not be infatuated with Olivia especially, he could be an eager, over passionate lover. This is
proved when near the end of the play when Viola s true identity is revealed. Olivia reveals her

Casework in a congressional office refers to the response or services that Members of Congress
provide to constituents who request assistance ( Caseworking ). Examples of caseworking can
be some of the following: female genital mutilation, political asylum, and international adoptions.
The World Health Organization has condemned female genital mutilation. Only a few people

Global Pursuit Of International Commerce
3.Global Pursuit of International Commerce
Today, globalization is a generic term, economic globalization demands key developments in trade,
and these are finance and foreign direct reserves by multinational corporations. International trade
has grown exponentially and has become a much more prominent influence over domestic and
global economic businesses. Trade consumes a quarter of the total world income encompassing
merchandise trade, banking, and information. (Ferguson, 2014). Export vendors and consumers
benefit from the openness of the Internet yet organizations find themselves challenged with
international businesses that have improved their productivity where transnational policy

innovative technology advancements, assimilated financial systems, and openness of the Internet.
Despite the technological progression, the majority of trade takes place in primary, advanced

restricted nature of commercial globalization, transnational organizations play a significant role in
the global economy. These entities have become major determinants of trade, industry locality, and
other worldwide economic activities. Within the realm of the global economy, organizations must

Martha Stewart Insider Trading Case

The Martha Stewart insider trading case was a high profile case filled with uncertainty. In order to
say whether or not Stewart handled her indictment responsibly, it is necessary to start with an
assumption regarding her guilt or innocence. For the purposes of this paper, based on the
information I have read about the case, and based on the fact that she was found guilty of all counts
(although not all specifications) in her stock conspiracy trial (with the exception of the security
fraud charge which was thrown out), I will assume that she is guilty. (courttv.com) Based on that

how many different blue pens were used on the worksheet. At any rate, the prearranged price as set

with duty and the greater good. If Stewart and Bacanovic did not have this prior arrangement set
up, then it was Bacanovic s duty to Merrill Lynch and to the investors to uphold the responsibilities
of his position. Again, this situation deals with the greater good of the investors as a whole, not
just Martha Stewart as an individual, and therein lies the purpose behind the rules in place. Aside
from lying about her decisions, Stewart also attempted to hamper the investigation by providing
false information. Stewart attempted to alter the contents of the phone message from Bacanovic s

evidence is generally reserved for the purpose of making a situation look better than it is. The fact

It wasn t as if we were all alike where I grew up, even in that small Idaho town of eleven hundred

aristocratic status. Joan Durbeyfield did not care about her daughter s morals she felt that if d

merciless gods. The institutionalised Christianity during the reign of Queen Victoria, meant that
Tess was seen as an outcast. She had given birth to a bastard child an the rigid social attitudes of
Victorian society meant she was frowned upon even though she took good care of the child and

Dictators often use fear as a control tactic in their countries as they want to make sure they have
total power over their people. Fear is defined as an unpleasant and often strong emotion caused
by anticipation or awareness of danger, often causing a person to act according to what is
necessary for survival. Although fear can be unpleasant, many people like it in different ways;
some like the suspense that scary movies bring, while others like the thrill that is created when

Napoleon uses that strategy because animals are scared and their ignorance makes them believe
that if they work harder and do what Napoleon says, they will have a better chance of surviving.
Jack s tribe also does everything he says because they are scared to physically get hurt or killed.
Therefore both leaders benefit from this physical fear that both societies experience. Both
leaders use supernatural things and outside influences to establish fear over their society. Jack
uses constantly the beast to his own advantage. He often makes allusion of it to scare his tribe,
as it is shown when he says the beast might try to come in (Golding 177) to his guards. This
shows that he is definitely afraid of the beast even though he tries to reassure his tribe to not be
afraid, which perfectly links with his previous words of this head is for the beast. It s a gift
(Golding 151) which clearly proves his fear of the beast, while at the same time using that as a
way to persuade his tribe that they are safe with him as long as they do what he says. Napoleon
uses lies about outside enemies to his own advantage. Napoleon claims that Snowball is a traitor

The Second Industrial Revolution In 19th Century China

interactions that occur between humans and the environment have a significant impact on the
earth. Examining the interactions between humans and the environment throughout history can
explain how modern environmental issues have come to be. This paper argues that the second
industrial revolution in 19th century Europe led to the environmental issues we see in modern
China. The second Industrial revolution contributed heavily to Europe s domination in world
politics and in turn, pushed China to work towards its own industrial revolution. Unfortunately, in

Its economic rise has come with a deadly cost. China is the world s largest source of carbon
emissions, and the air quality of many of its major cities fails to meet international health
standards. Coal is largely to blame for the degradation of chinese air quality, as China is the world
s largest coal producer and accounts for about half of global consumption. There were also a record
17 million new cars on the road in 2014, further contributing to China s high emissions. In addition
to poor air quality, serious water contamination and scarcity have increased land degradation.
Industries along China s rivers have polluted water supplies and lack of proper waste removal has
worsened problems. Consequently, overuse and contamination have produced serious water
shortages. Water scarcity, pollution, and desertification are reducing China s ability to sustain its
industrial output and produce enough materials to support its large population. China s current
environmental situation is the result of not only policy choices made today but of the policies and
practices that have developed over centuries. Today, with a transforming Chinese economy fueled
by state owned enterprises, environmental policies remain difficult to enforce at the local level,
where officials often prioritize meeting economic goals over environmental concerns. While the

Difference Between Polyface And Industrial Model Of Food...
Key differences between the operating system of Polyface and the industrial model of food
production 1.Polyface model Integrated strategy: Polyface is a small scale, community oriented
farming. It was envisioned to be an environmentally sustainable farm, effectively utilizing the
resources inherent in the land, and mimicking the natural ecosystem. The activities of the farm
animals complimented each other and contributed to the overall effectiveness and productivity of
the farm s system. The waste produced was ultimately returned back to the land. For example
Polyface utilized excreta and composted internal organs of the farm animals for use as natural
fertilizer for the grass. It believed in nature s biodiversity system and maintained its animal ratio
accordingly to suit that system. For example the hen to cow ratio was 16:1 which effectively
helped process the cow manure. Polyface focused on organic farming, selling the bulk of their
products locally. Compared to the industrial model, Polyface produced... Show more content on

throughout the year. Polyface has been able to leverage the operational synergies between its
various inter dependant processes and it has also utilized the waste it produces to further its
operational efficiency. The main difficult aspect in such a case is to manage the inter
dependencies between the processes as a problem in one process will affect the other. Since the
proportional output level is determined by the process synergies. In case of any expansion the

Imagine if the world you lived in, the space you breathed in, and the freedom you played in were
suddenly taken away from you. (Free Willy) Orca whales are the largest members of the dolphin
family. Orcas are very curious creatures, they like to sky hop, which is when they poke their
heads out of the water and look around, and they can also dive to as much as a hundred feet.
These social animals live in pods and stay with them for their whole lives. They are so family
oriented that they can may sleep together in a tight circle and have synchronized breathing. Orcas
can grow up to thirty two feet and can weigh nine tons. They typically eat five percent of their
body weight and are amazing hunters. The lifespan of an orca in their... Show more content on

The process was pretty lengthy as he had to purchase and transport the whale. Griffin bought the
whale for 8,000 dollars and named the whale Namu after the location he got him from. Griffin s
goal was to be able to get the whale comfortable enough for him to ride Namu. Only after a few
short months Griffin was able to swim, ride, and interact with Namu. Unfortunately, Namu
passed from an anaerobic bacterium in his digestive tract. Griffin was torn apart of the death of
his beloved friend, Namu never got replaced, but he did continue to capture whales for various
sea parks. Stories of Captive Killer Whales http://www.pbs.org/wgnh/pages/frontline/shows
/whales/etc/orcas1.html The capturing process can be absolutely brutal for the whales as it puts
an enormous amount of stress on them as they are being ripped away from their families. The
best way to capture the whales is by using the drive method. This method is used by separating
the whales as best as they can from their families, luring them into shallow water, and then
containing them in nets. Once they are captured the whales are at high risk from dehydration as
they are out of water for large periods of time. The largest capture of orcas took place on August
8th, 1970, by Griffin and Goldsberry. During these captures whalers had to deal with many deaths,
usually with the calves. The calves were so scared about the nets that they drowned themselves
trying to get back to the families. Whaler John

Advantage And Disadvantages Of Globalisation
Globalisation
Globalisation is the emerging inter connectedness of the world due to the integration of trade and
communication technologies across international borders, which allows for socio cultural
developments as a result of the increase in everyday internet use, as well as the interaction between
people, companies and governments of different natures. Globalisation can also be seen as the
internationalisation of design due to the free movements of products, services and assets, which
enabled products to be planned, assembled and distributed in completely different countries.
Globalisation is not a new concept, but many believe that the rate of globalisation has increased
dramatically in the last few years. This is mainly due to two developments. Governments have
initiated free market economies which decrease the number of barriers standing in the way of
international trade and investment and technology has provided people with new tools to identify
opportunities, analyse trends, transfer assets and communicate with partners in different countries.
Globalisation ensures that there is a greater variety of products that are more readily available
across the world and promotes a decrease in poverty, as international factories will need to be run
by employees that live in that area. Globalisation also promotes a transfer of skills, as technologies,
techniques and materials can be introduced to countries that had not yet been exposed to them.
However, globalisation may

Bras Vs Breast Feeding
Bras during pregnancy and breastfeeding
Do you need a new bra during pregnancy? Yes. Like the rest of your body, your breasts will
increase too. Although it might be tempting to use the existing bras, it would be best to invest in
some new ones. The growing breasts are heavier and develop glandular tissues. Your breasts start
producing milk during the pregnancy and prepare for nursing your lil one. This adds a few pounds
to the breasts which deserve some comfort.
When to get a new bra?
When you take off your bra and see indentations along the straps, it s time to purchase some new
bras. The bras will start to feel too snug or your breasts would start to spill out from the bra cups.
As every pregnancy is different, everybody is different. Hence each woman s breast size increases
differently. The breast size increases during pregnancy and then might not increase until the last few
months. Hence, depending on your body growth, you might have to change bras accordingly. ...

Night Comfort
It is very uncomfortable to wear a bra at night. Although many women prefer not to wear one
while they sleep, some do wear a bra since they want to provide support to their growing breasts,
even at night. If you wish to wear a bra at night, choose a bra that is extremely soft and not too
tight. A soft cotton bra is the best option since it allows your skin to get sufficient air to breathe.

The Similarities Between Spanish And Basque In Catalunya
If you encounter a native of France or Spain, he will most likely speak French or Spanish, as the
national language of his home country. However, a notable number of people speak a cultural
language as well. The salience of these languages on the north vs. south side of the Pyrenees
Mountains is substantial. Catalan, spoken in northeastern Spainand southeastern France, and
Basque, a language isolate spoken in northern Spain and southwestern France, are minority
languages. Both are distinct from Castilian Spanish with their own literature, people, and culture.
While Basque and Catalan are prevalent in their respective Spanish autonomous communities, the
border of the PaГЇsos Catalans (Catalan Countries) and Euskal Herria (Basque... Show more content

In Catalunya, Catalan is spoken fluently by 85% of the population with 97% claiming they
understand ( Generalitat de Catalunya. 6). This mutual intelligibility between Spanish and Catalan
suggests that Catalan is only a dialect of Castilian. While many people would like to say this is true,
and Spain under Franco attempted to integrate Catalan into mainstream Spanish culture this way
(Alguera 89), the Catalan is a distinct language with it s own lexicon, literature, grammar rules, etc.
It is a mandatory subject for children in public education in the autonomous community ( Catalans.
109). This contrasts the Basque Country where only 30% of the population is fully fluent in
Basque (Gobierno Vasco 17). Interestingly, although Basque is classified as a vulnerable language (
Data on the Basque Language. ) and is spoken by less than a third of the population, the highest
concentration of speakers exists in young adults, where nearly 60% of people age 16 to 24 claim
to be fluent (Gobierno Vasco 21). I think this trend is interesting because one would think the older
generations had the higher percentage of Basque speakers, and the lowest among the younger age
groups owing to assimilation to Spanish language and culture. Although Basque and Catalan are
recognized co official languages and enjoy considerable clout and use, the situation is very different
in France.
As the symbol for the national identity of the Basques, scholars have

Essay On Sanford Gragg
My great grandfather, Sanford Robert Gragg, was an extraordinary man. Although I never had the
privilege to meet him, the stories that have been told about his life urge me to learn more about
how he lived and the unique things he did during his life. My great grandfather did some pretty
amazing things during his life and some of the facts about his life astound me.
January 25, 1899, under Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina, Sanford was born. He was
the son of Luther Burgess Gragg and Mary Josephine Crump Chester. My pawpaw Gragg was a
farmer and raised all kinds of farm animals. He also loved to garden. Sanford went to an all boy s
school for farming in Asheville where he learned how to garden and work on a farm. Every
morning my great grandfather would have to build a fire to heat the school. He never learned how
to read and could not write much other than his own name. However, he was a very smart man.
Not in the sense of mathematics or language or science, but he knew how to work with his hands

He worked at a log company named Ritter Lumber Company for a few years. He then worked on
the Tweetsie railroad. Back then, the railroad was used to transport lumber and other necessities.
Sanford helped drive the train and would put coal in and keep the engine running. My great aunt,
Ruth Gragg, told me a story about when my pawpaw worked with trains, he took one of his sons
with him to work one day. He taught him how to work and drive the train. Then one day his son
took the train for a ride by himself without telling anyone. Tweetsie was not always used for
transportation of lumber and other goods. One day they decided to take the train and turn it into a
family friendly ride. They painted it and built a theme park to attract tourist. My great grandfather
called this train the donald duck train . After the railroad business, my great grandfather worked at
Rayloft Lumber Company and then at Broyhill

The technology that provided for the creation of the internet has also advanced almost every electronic and mechanical device we use, and the manner in which the Internetis accessed and technology are employed has established an ever expanding reliance on it for information, social interaction, and entertainment. However, with all of the benefits of technology and the Internet, there is also the rising awareness that there the dangers and instances of disorder and addiction. When one thinks of addiction, the mind automatically conjures the images of someone who is suffering from a chemical dependency. But just as chemicals provide an alternate reality, the Internet presents an ability to create an alternate life or virtual persona that only resides in the protocols and URL s found on the computer. One definition of addiction is a chronic dysfunction of the brain system that involves reward, motivation, and memory. If the world knew about the consequences of their actions, she would have a different view. The impact of new technology and lack of proper waste management has been drastic on our home planet, planet Earth. Technology has been evolving greatly, and as technology has been evolving, another issue has arisen, the lack of proper waste disposal. Improper waste disposal is when items which belong in a certain area, are incorrectly being disposed of. For example, a plastic water bottle being thrown out in the garbage instead of the recycling. Advancements in technology and improper waste disposal both have harmful causes on the Earth, negatively impact humanhealth, and cause an effect on the economy. For thousand s of years, humans have been working to evolve technology to what it is today, but little do they realize the effects it has on our Earth. Most of these technological advancements require fossil fuels, and thus these advancements reduce the amount of fossil fuels we have left. This greatly endangers the Earth, as carbon dioxide is released into the air when the fossil fuels are burned(1). This ultimately harms the environment. Technological advancements, like industrialization, have contributed greatly to the surplus amount of greenhouse gases being omitted(3 ). A study by a National Geographic researcher proves that as the technological advancements made become greater, so do the negative ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Electronic Warfare Analysis Paper Electronic Warfare Analysis of Army SINCGARS Radios Operation tempo in cyber and electronic warfare can be described by the OODA (Observe Orient Decision Action) loop decision making process (Pace). The steps occupy a logical order of electronic attack or defense. First, a particular electromagnetic characteristic is observed by either human or electronic operators. For example, a spike in a frequency known to be used by the enemy, indicating a potential target for electronic attack, or a sudden increase in noise on friendly systems which could indicate jamming by an adversary. Orientation is the allocation of resources to either exploit or counter the observed characteristic, such as reconfiguring analog or digital tuners, clocks, or filters ... In mathematical terms, this means the 25 kHz wide jamming signal must sweep through the entire bandwidth every second. With 2320 channels, this yields a required tempo for the jammer as: 0.43 ms. The required operational tempo to effectively jam the SINCGARS radio is much higher than operational tempo required to frequency hop. This can be explained by looking at the bandwidth cost for the hopped radio and the swept jammer. The radio hops 111 times per second, with each hop being a distinct channel, but has 2320 channels to choose from. Each second only uses a small part of the total bandwidth, specifically 2.7 MHz out of an available 58 MHz. In contrast, the jammer is blind to the hop pattern, and must sweep over the entire 58 MHz once a second to have a chance of interrupting at least one ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

To some, the fading darkness presents a major catastrophe towards human health, the ecosystem, and culture in general. One of these people is Paul Bogard. In his article, let there be dark, Bogard cleverly utilized devices such as statistics, imagery, and research findings across the world to illustrate that the removal of darkness from our nights only causes severe problems. Bogard first introduced the topic with a personal anecdote that described his experiences with darkness as a child. Imagery such as hands disappeared before my eyes and meteors left smoky trails evoked nostalgia among the readers. Both proteins can be derived from bovine milk. Skim milk was centrifuged with a variance in pH to precipitate casein proteins. Whey material was filtered and eluted through a Sephadex G 50 column. Around these fraction numbers was where the largest elution of protein and likely О± lactalbumin was present. Due to high amino acid content of phenylalanine, tryptophan, and tyrosine, absorbance occurs at 280 nm. The high 280 nm absorbance would suggest a higher amount of protein elution in the fraction. The early fraction numbers had significantly high absorbance between fractions 4 and 9. This was due to quick mobility of the protein through the sephadex column during the size exclusion chromatography before fractions were gathered. The absorbance of the protein fragments: 7, 8, and 9 were all between 0.59 and 0.62. Protein fragments with absorbance values above 0.5 had a noticeable amount of desirable protein within the fraction. The electrophoresis gel was labeled in comparison with a pre stained protein ladder as shown in Figure 2. The 10 kDa served as a base for the accuracy of the other protein ladder measurements. The 17 kDa measurement on the protein ladder was compared with the band values of the protein fractions. О± lactalbumin has a molecular weight of 14.2 kDa. • 20. Gender And Prime Time From An Early Age Gender and Prime Time From an early age we learn the differences between girls and boys. Girls like pink, boys like blue. Girls play with dolls, boys play in the dirt. While these definitions seem harmless they become much more complex as girls and boys grow to women and men. Women become emotional mothers and housekeepers while men become firm professionals. Where do we get these stereotypes? Many would argue that one of the most influential sources of gender stereotyping is television, the main cultural storyteller in the United States (Emons, Wester, and Scheepers 40). In most developed countries television has the widest reach of any medium and it can, and does, intensely influence opinions of all ages of viewers. The average time per person per week spent involved with television is around 31 hours in the US. That is a number higher than most European countries like Britain, France, and Germany (Furnham and Bitar 297). Female characters on TV are depicted as younger, unemployed, and are more likely to be married while malecharacters reveal much less information about family and marital status and are more likely to be seen in occupational roles. One popular trend in television right now is crime TV. CSI in particular was the top rated show in the US from 2002 to 2005 according to Nielsen Media Research and is the only crime drama to ever top the Nielsen ratings (Lavigne 385). • 23. The Long Arm Short Story Analysis Mary E. Wilkins Freeman s short story The Long Arm is based on the famous Lizzie Borden narrative, following the prominent story of a daughter being accused of the murder of her miserly father. Both Lizzie and her fictional counterpart, Sarah Fairbanks, were made to look guilty based on the destruction (or alteration, in Sarah s case) of a dress that was thought to hold incriminating evidence. However, they both were acquitted based on a lack of compelling evidence against them. Despite these similarities, Freeman did change some aspects of the tale in order to provide a commentary on genderand more closure than the Borden case provided. In the story, Freeman provided Sarah a love interest (whom her father disapproved of), which offered her an additional motive. The forlorn lover, Henry, gave authorities another possible suspect in the case. While there has been some speculation of Lizzie having a secret lover, no theories have been proven, and certainly no romantic interests were accused of the murders. Another addition to The Long Arm was a clear confession of guilt at the end of the story, including a clear motive and step by step depiction of the whole ordeal. Freeman also excluded prominent figures from her version of the narrative, such as Abby Borden (Lizzie s stepmother and second murder victim), Emma Borden (Lizzie s older sister), and Bridget (the family maid). Even though Freeman took some creative liberties in regards to the Borden tragedy, the story shared ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The first love objects for infants are their family members, particularly the boy for his mother (Oedipus complex) and then his sister if he has one, but these are always repressed. In most cases the boy successfully substitutes other women outside the family for these original choices, but neurotic patients fails to get over these conflicts and fixate on an earlier stage; he has either failed to get free from the psycho sexual conditions that prevailed in his childhood or he has returned to them. In civilized societies, this condition is relatively rare, but Freud speculates that in primitive or savage societies sexual desires have not been as successfully sublimated as in modern Europe, such that the equation between primitives, savages, and neurotics seems to him justified by the available evidence. The activities of the farm animals complimented each other and contributed to the overall effectiveness and productivity of the farm s system. The waste produced was ultimately returned back to the land. For example Polyface utilized excreta and composted internal organs of the farm animals for use as natural fertilizer for the grass. It believed in nature s biodiversity system and maintained its animal ratio accordingly to suit that system. For example the hen to cow ratio was 16:1 which effectively helped process the cow manure. The largest capture of orcas took place on August 8th, 1970, by Griffin and Goldsberry. During these captures whalers had to deal with many deaths, usually with the calves. The calves were so scared about the nets that they drowned themselves trying to get back to the families. Whaler John ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 42. Advantage And Disadvantages Of Globalisation Globalisation Globalisation is the emerging inter connectedness of the world due to the integration of trade and communication technologies across international borders, which allows for socio cultural developments as a result of the increase in everyday internet use, as well as the interaction between people, companies and governments of different natures. Globalisation can also be seen as the internationalisation of design due to the free movements of products, services and assets, which enabled products to be planned, assembled and distributed in completely different countries. Globalisation is not a new concept, but many believe that the rate of globalisation has increased dramatically in the last few years. This is mainly due to two developments. Governments have initiated free market economies which decrease the number of barriers standing in the way of international trade and investment and technology has provided people with new tools to identify opportunities, analyse trends, transfer assets and communicate with partners in different countries. Globalisation ensures that there is a greater variety of products that are more readily available across the world and promotes a decrease in poverty, as international factories will need to be run by employees that live in that area. Globalisation also promotes a transfer of skills, as technologies, techniques and materials can be introduced to countries that had not yet been exposed to them. However, globalisation may ... • 45. The Similarities Between Spanish And Basque In Catalunya If you encounter a native of France or Spain, he will most likely speak French or Spanish, as the national language of his home country. However, a notable number of people speak a cultural language as well. The salience of these languages on the north vs. south side of the Pyrenees Mountains is substantial. Catalan, spoken in northeastern Spainand southeastern France, and Basque, a language isolate spoken in northern Spain and southwestern France, are minority languages. Both are distinct from Castilian Spanish with their own literature, people, and culture. While Basque and Catalan are prevalent in their respective Spanish autonomous communities, the border of the PaГЇsos Catalans (Catalan Countries) and Euskal Herria (Basque... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Catalunya, Catalan is spoken fluently by 85% of the population with 97% claiming they understand ( Generalitat de Catalunya. 6). This mutual intelligibility between Spanish and Catalan suggests that Catalan is only a dialect of Castilian. While many people would like to say this is true, and Spain under Franco attempted to integrate Catalan into mainstream Spanish culture this way (Alguera 89), the Catalan is a distinct language with it s own lexicon, literature, grammar rules, etc. It is a mandatory subject for children in public education in the autonomous community ( Catalans. 109). This contrasts the Basque Country where only 30% of the population is fully fluent in Basque (Gobierno Vasco 17). Interestingly, although Basque is classified as a vulnerable language ( Data on the Basque Language. ) and is spoken by less than a third of the population, the highest concentration of speakers exists in young adults, where nearly 60% of people age 16 to 24 claim to be fluent (Gobierno Vasco 21). I think this trend is interesting because one would think the older generations had the higher percentage of Basque speakers, and the lowest among the younger age groups owing to assimilation to Spanish language and culture. Although Basque and Catalan are recognized co official languages and enjoy considerable clout and use, the situation is very different in France. As the symbol for the national identity of the Basques, scholars have ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
