Essay On Social Problems
Writing an essay on the topic of social problems can be quite challenging due to the multifaceted
nature of the subject. Social problems encompass a wide range of issues, including but not
limited to poverty, inequality, discrimination, environmental degradation, and various forms of
injustice. The complexity arises from the interconnectedness of these problems, making it
difficult to address one without considering its impact on others.
One of the challenges lies in the extensive research required to gain a comprehensive
understanding of the various social issues. It necessitates delving into sociological theories,
statistical data, and historical contexts to provide a nuanced analysis. Additionally, the constantly
evolving nature of societal challenges requires staying updated on current events and emerging
issues.
Moreover, articulating thoughts coherently and presenting a well-structured argument is crucial.
Balancing the need for factual information with a persuasive narrative can be tricky, especially
when tackling sensitive and controversial topics. Striking the right tone that is both informative
and engaging while remaining respectful to diverse perspectives poses another layer of difficulty.
Furthermore, the emotional toll of exploring and discussing societal problems can be draining. It
involves confronting uncomfortable truths about the world we live in, and addressing these
issues responsibly without oversimplifying or sensationalizing requires a delicate balance.
In conclusion, writing an essay on social problems demands a combination of research skills,
critical thinking, empathy, and effective communication. It requires navigating a complex web of
interconnected issues while maintaining a thoughtful and respectful tone. The process may be
challenging, but it is essential for fostering awareness and understanding in society.

Essay On The Monroe Doctrine
The Latin American countries received this doctrine with sincere gratitude. The
leaders of Latin America figured that the doctrine itself had no power against the
Holy Alliance unless the British gave it support. They also knew it very well that
their future of independence was in the hands of England and her supreme naval
power. Even Simon Bolivar and his men considered the doctrine harmless tool of US
s national policy. According to Crow, author of The Epic of Latin America, It was
not meant to be, and was never intended to be a charter for concerted hemispheric
action.
2.8.3 Implementation of Monroe Doctrine
Let us now view some important world affairs chronologically where the United
States tried to implement her long tenet Monroe Doctrine.

In 1852, some politicians of the United States used the principle of the Monroe
Doctrine to argue for forcefully removing the Spanish from Cuba.
In 1862, French forces under Napoleon III invaded and conquered Mexico, giving the
country to Austrian born Emperor Maximilian. Americans proclaimed this as a
violation of The Doctrine , but were unable to intervene because of the American
Civil War. After the civil war came to an end, the US brought troops down to the Rio
Grande in hopes of pressuring the French government to end its occupation. Mexican
nationalists eventually captured the Emperor and executed him, reasserting Mexico s
independence.
In the 1870s, President Ulysses S. Grant and his Secretary of State Hamilton Fish
endeavored to replace European influence in Latin America with that of the United
States. Part of their efforts involved expanding the Monroe Doctrine by stating
hereafter no territory on this continent shall be regarded as subject to transfer to a

The Articles Of Confederation
With the dilemma of revising the failures of the Articles of Confederation, a group
of people known as the Federalists; wrote a bundle of essays for the proposal of a
new Constitution, also known as the Federalist Papers. The proposal of the U.S.
Constitution was originally rejected by the anti Federalists who opposed the idea of
having a Constitution. In order convince those who were in opposition of the revising
the previous Articles of Confederation with a new Constitution, James Madison,
Alexander Hamilton and John Jay wrote the Federalist papers. The authors of the
Federalist papers wrote these essays in a way where it explained how the American
government should be formed and the significance of the American government in
how it relates to the daily lives of the American people. The authors of the Federalist
papers also answered any topics that were concerning those who were opposed to the
Constitution, as well as those who anxious if the newly proposed Constitution would
be certain situations that they were currently living in. The authors also provided an
ample amount of examples in history to strengthen their argument of the proposal of
the U.S. Constitution, but that is not to say there were not weakness embedded into
these arguments. Federalist paper No. 10 begins by introducing the idea that a well
established government has the capabilities of controlling the potential violence and
damage caused by factions. From James Madison s perspective, a faction is a
Theoretical Perspectives In Coach Carter
Theoretical Perspectives in Coach Carter Issues in the home, the school, and the
area have set a critical allotment of American adolescents at danger. Young people
considered at hazard are the individuals who participate in risky behavior, for
example, drug abuse, liquor use, and developed sexuality. A technical term At risk
youths (Siegel Welsh, 2011, p. 3) is defined as that undeveloped people who are
exceedingly exposed to the unenthusiastic results of schoolfailure, substance abuse,
and premature sexuality. This term is not directly related to the movie, Coach Carter

significant to understand about the latent trait theory. His character is represented
in a destructive light toward the start of the film. He is extremely disrespectful to
numerous of his close players and Carter. He is tough and hot tempered. A decent
sample of his behavior would be on carter s first day. Once five minutes of Carter
being trainer he moves into a battle with him. He vocally mistreats the Coach and
even endeavors to damage him. Carter reacts by pushing him to a headlock and
hitting him against wall and requests him to leave the gymnasium. Timo furiously
exits out of the gym shouting, This Ain t Over! , and promises never to return over
to basketball. He retreats in the city trafficking and offering drugs with his cousin
Renny. As times of the film go by, Timo s wrongful behaviors could be understood
and fixed by Carter s rules and sincere heart. Due to the fact that the latent trait

be used to explain about Timo s situations from his early life, why he
Clostridium Difficile Infection ( Cdi ) Is The Most

Clostridium difficile infection (CDI) is the most common cause of antibiotic
associated diarrhea (AAD). Rapid diagnosis of CDI is essential to prevent hospital
spread of infection. The aims were to determine the prevalence of CDI among
cases of AAD in Zagazig University Hospitals, identify risk factors, and evaluate
real time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and enzyme immunoassay (EIA),
against toxigenic culture (TC). Stools were collected from 150 patients with
AAD. They were tested for TC, toxin A/B EIA, and C. difficile tcdA/tcdB genes.
Thirty four toxigenic C. difficile isolates were obtained (22.7%) out of the 150
patients and those patients were considered positive for CDI. On the other hand, 6
non toxigenic C. difficile isolates were obtained (4%), while culture of the
remaining 110 patients (73.3%) did not yield C. difficile. The later 116 patients
(77.3%) were considered negative for CDI. Analysis of risk factors revealed that
advanced age, prolonged hospitalization, long duration of antibiotic intake,
potentiated penicillins, 3rd generation cephalosporins, antibiotic combined therapy,
liver cirrhosis, malignancy, proton pump inhibitors, enteral tube feeding, and cancer
chemotherapy were significantly associated with CDI. Sensitivitiy, specificitiy,
positive predictive value, negative predictive value, and accuracy of real time PCR
against TC were all 100%, however, values of EIA were 79.4%, 100%, 100%, 94.3%,
95.3%, respectively. Conclusion: CDI is an

It is often assumed that Freddie Mercury, the frontman for the hugely popular rock
group, Queen, lived a life of hedonistic exuberance. There are countless pictures of
Mercury out at clubs in his flamboyant costumes, drinking and having fun. This
reputation as a party animal led journalist Matthew Horton to state that, The
Fredster lived his 45 years like a man possessed a man possessed by the spirit of
reckless, balls out excess (Horton). So to claim that this same man was actually
immensely influenced by religion and had deep concerns about society may seem
like a stretch. However, despite his ostentatious image, Freddie Mercurydeliberately

Mercury spent his youth during the tumultuous 60s and 70s, surrounded by social
and political rumblings. It was difficult to ignore the protests and riots that filled the
news broadcasts. A war was raging in Vietnam and presidents were being
assassinated. In the midst of all this, a counter culture movement was gaining
momentum that would begin to demand more tolerance towards human sexuality,
women s rights, gay liberation, and diverse subcultures. When Queen began to gain
widespread popularity in the 70s, the band s ornate style and vivacious music
often hid the concerns of Mercury. Being bisexual, Mercury was forced to live in
the shadows, unable to freely live his life. This secret life led many to doubt
Mercury s concerns about society. When Mercury died of complications due to
AIDS, the autoimmune disease, many people criticized Mercury for not donating
to AIDS charities before dying (Sky, 183 185). However, according to Mary
Austin, Mercury donated millions to AIDS charities before his death, and was very
involved with AIDS activism (Sky, 183 185). People close to Mercury describe him

Effects Of The Black Death
How did the Black Death change the lives of the people who survived, not only
from the amount of fatalities, but also by the disruption of religion and the
economy? I believe the effect on Europe during this time were beyond devastating
due to the loss of about twenty five million people. The Black deathstarted in Europe
in October 1347. It arrived there by sea when twelve Genoese trading ships came
and docked in the Sicilian port of Messina. When people went to greet the sailors
on the ships, they were shocked when they discovered the majority of the crew was
dead and the living were severely ill. Although the Europeans had heard a rumor of a
disease like the Black Death, they were not in any way prepared for what was to
come.
The Black Death, as we know now, is transmitted through the air or by a bite from
an infected flea or a rat. The beginning of the disease was the formation of strange
swellings, either on the groin or armpits named plague boils. These boils, then had
blood and pus seep out of them, and it was followed by chills, fever, vomiting,
diarrhea, terrible aches and pains, and shortly after, of course was death. This
disease was very efficient and it was terrifying because some would go to bed
perfectly healthy and could be dead by morning. The Black Death spread through
Europe to Iceland and Greenland and reached Russia by 1352, and many regions lost
a quarter to a third of their population.
Although the cause of the Black Death was spread by bites from

Read The Bible
Throughout history, the Bible has been the most influential and significant relic to
have impacted social, political, economical, and spiritual aspects on earth, no other
form of literature has been able to replicate its effect. Not only that but various
religious groups have been known to persistently attempt to persuade the public to
read the Christian sacred text known as the Bible. However, the question still remains,
why should you read the Bible? The reasons are that three of the most influential
religions theology/teachings stand upon it, its content has important historical
references, and the fact that it is the most controversial relic in all of history.... Show

During the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century, the Catholic Church
heavily persecuted those who translated it to the common tongue or the language

something from me on purpose, the more I would like to know. Why would one of
the most powerful religious groups of the time want to hide the content of a book

Russia, Joseph Stalin, the most influential leader in his time, killed and persecuted
whoever read and followed what the Bible said. What makes so significant that a

The Harmony Of The Gospels Essay
Harmony of the Gospels The first four books of the New Testament, collectively
referred to as The Gospels, are Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Defined, gospel
means good news (BD, 682). Together, these gospels written by distinctly different
authors, each with a different perspective, offer marvelous insight into the life and
ministry of the Savior and Redeemer, Jesusthe Christ. Through their similarities and
differences, they provide a beautiful testimony of his teachings and works to
provide a dynamic and living picture of who Jesus is: a King, Christ in action, a
human, and as the light and life of the world. Each author is striving to bring the
good news of who the Son of God is and his amazing and infinite Atonement, to all
mankind.
Matthew
The first book of the New Testament is Matthew. Matthew was known before his
conversion as Levi (BD, 729), and lived in Capernaum which is located on the
Northern Shore of the Sea of Galilee (The Holy Land in New Testament Times,
Map 11). He was Jewish publican, or tax gatherer, which was possibly one of the
most hated positions of that time. During Christ s ministry, Matthew was called to be
one of the Twelve Apostles, named in Matthew 10:3. In his writings, Matthew
emphasizes that Jesus is in fact that very Messiah that had been prophesied in the
Old Testament, by citing the words of Isaiah, Micah, and Jeremiah (Class Lecture,
September 19). He sought to show the Jews that Jesus is the King of kings, the
promised Messiah (BD,
Fifth Moon Observation
On the First Day of the Fifth Moon, denizens all around the castle were startled when
the usually calm home was disrupted by loud noises and various colors of light
within the sky. The sudden commotion caused people to depart what activities they
had been doing to travel where the disturbance was the loudest. Inside the Gate
Courtyard, denizens and the Royal Army stood, watching and waiting for something
to reveal itself as the reason behind the disquietude of the sky. Just as they were to
move for an exit, green and purple lights zoomed through the sky and landed in the
courtyard with a boom.
Out of curiosity, the group quickly turned to see what invaded their home and upon
entering the courtyard, they came face to face with an unusual cylindrical structure
that appeared to have been burned. Attached to the scorched construct was a tiny
harness, the Royal Army examined the two items, but were unable to get any
answers. As they were investigating, another BOOM appeared in the Inner Bailey in,
which caused the Army to pause and rush eastward. Ser Vaden and seras Vasilisa,

Construction Of The Construction Project Essay
1.
Cost: when we are looking at the cost of the construction project we have to look
through and have to consider all the stages of the design and the construction project
this is part of the specification. It is very important to have the cost estimator
involved right from the start of the project to ensure that the project budget reflects
the decisions made by the project construction team throughout the integrated the
design process.
2.
Quality standard and legislation: quality is the part of the contractor manager to
ensure that products and service comply with requirements. It is a work method that
facilitates the measurement of the quality characteristics of a unit, compares them
with the established standards, the analyses the differences between the results
obtained and the desired results in order to make decisions which will correct any
differences. The legislation is the rules that are set on the construction project. Rules
apply to projects in parts to prevent clients from avoiding the requirements of the
regulations by simply dividing projects up.
3.
Health and safety issues: if you want to make sure everyone is safe on a
construction site you have to sensibly plan the work so the risks involved are
managed from start to finish. You have to have the right people for the job to make
sure everyone is safe. Have the right information about the risks and how they are
being managed and lastly consult and engage with workers about the risks and how
they are
Reflection Of The Film Juno Directed By Jason Reitman
The film Juno directed by Jason Reitman is intriguing in terms of general vision and
viewpoint. Reitman uses a variety of different aspects to convey the vision and
viewpoint, such as the plot, imaginative language and imagery, and superb
characterization. Through these Juno , despite having its dark moments, elicits an
overall feeling of positivity and optimism.
A positive feeling emanates from the opening scenes of Juno . Set in 2006 in
Minnesota, the film opens in warm autumnal sunshine. The love scene between the
eponymous 16 year old Juno and her boyfriend, Paulie Bleeker, is shot in soft focus
and subdued lighting, conveying a sense of tender affection. In an animated sequence
we see Juno walk in a confident carefree manner accompanied by an upbeat song on
the soundtrack. The mood is decidedly optimistic, generating a feeling of positive
anticipation in the viewer.
The first key moment in the plot casts an ominous shadow. In the drugstore, Juno s
pregnancy test proves positive. The shopkeeper treats her with an attitude of
contempt and inevitably a rancorous exchange occurs. Outside of the drugstore she
holds the urine test in one hand and a rope of liquorice in the other. The juxtaposition
of adolescence and adulthood is striking in this creative image. Juno is plunged into
the world of adulthood ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In terms of general vision and viewpoint both texts are strikingly similar in eliciting a
feeling of distinct pessimism from the reader. LG presents us with a general vision of
lives that are emotionally wounded, frustrated, troubled and lacking in personal

emotional pain and the disintegration of a marriage. These bleak viewpoints are
conveyed through the plot, characterization of the protagonists, and creative language

Determining The Efficiency Of A Protocol
6.2RESULTS
6.2.1 Simulation matrix
There are number of metrics which are helpful for deciding the efficiency of a
protocol. In this work the parameters used to evaluate the efficiency of a protocol are
the packet delivery ratio, packet statistics in the network and the throughput of the
network. The protocols AODV and AODVBC are checked against these parameters
for their performance. Packet delivery ratio of the network is improved as the mobility
with respect to the number of nodes changes. Increase in the PDR (Packet delivery
ratio is because of the less number of packet drops when AODVBC is used. Fig. 4
justifies the better performance of AODVBC routing protocol over AODV protocol in
terms of less number of packets drop.

Without enough money, how does someone suppose to afford to live in a house?
Though most Miami County residents do not see homeless people, does not hide
the fact we have people living without a home. Peru is not a big city like New
York, or Los Angeles, but no matter where you are at in America, there will always
be those who cannot afford to rent or own any type of housing.
Even if everyone could afford some type of housing to live in, it does not mean they
can afford all the necessary utilities. Air conditioning is not a necessity, but someone
might not have enough money to provide a fan. The cost for utilities such as
electricity for a fan to keep the cool in the summer heat, or simply having running
water might be a problem for someone with little to no income. With winter
approaching even some people will have to go without heat in the Miami County area.

volunteers from the area and provides many solutions to the dilemmas of poverty.

Egyptian Civilization Research Paper
Egyptian civilization was undeniably one of the earliest, largest, most influential and
longest lasting civilizations in the history of mankind. Egyptian civilization is
renowned for its tremendous achievements in fields such as architecture,
administration, literature, medicine, engineering, and statecraft. Pyramids, the large
Sphinx, and the large temples are some of the most striking landmarks of ancient
Egyptian civilization. The most significant entity about the Egyptian civilization
was its geography. Just as life arose from the Nile waters, the Egyptian civilization
emanated along the banks of the same river. The Nile River was a magnet for life
since it attracted people, animals and plants to its banks thereby nourishing the
pharaonic kingdom. The Egyptian gods were also believed to sojourn along river
Nile. Most paramount about the Egyptian civilization is that during its development
an expansion around 3000 B.C. the Egyptian were the only literate people across the
globe. The Sumerians in Mesopotamia later acquired literacy; a factor that is
believed to have been necessitated by the Egyptians.

Michael Phelps is an international swimming sensation from the United States.
Born in 1985 in Baltimore Maryland, he began swimming at an early age. By age

After a divorce in the family, many children act out, rebel, and get themselves into
trouble. The divorce did not cause any undue harm on Phelps per se. He maintained
his health and fitness levels and was determined to keep swimming.
Water is always nearby in the Baltimore, Maryland area, and most residents
gravitate towards the water via boating and swimming. Phelps took a love of water
more seriously and began to hone his swimming skills to become the best in
Maryland. Soon after wishing to become the best in Maryland, Phelps set his sights
on the Olympics. He began swimming at a high school pool and training at an
aquatic club in Maryland. The coach could sense the fierce competition and skill
Phelps portrayed in the water and began to work with Michael with intense training
sessions. At age fifteen, Phelps was the youngest member of the Olympic American
male swim team in sixty eight years. He did not win any medals at this Olympic
Games, but he made the team, set a record, and left determined to try again.
Michael Phelps had ample time to drop out of swimming, pursue other interests, or
become discouraged. Despite being the youngest man on most every swim team, and
not winning as many awards early on, Phelps continued to train and workout daily
and stuck to a strict diet designed to keep his body in ideal shape for swimming. His

never really taken surveys like these and it was interesting to learn more about
myself and political views. On the first quiz, which was the political compass, the
results stated that I am more of a Liberal leftist. When looking at the results in
comparison to different leaders, I noticed that I was placed closest to Nelson

Presidential Election of 2016, I was farthest from Donald Trump and closest to Jill

Milton Friedman, Joseph Stalin, and Mahatma Gandhi. On this chart, I was placed

It has been a decade since Kolkata s Saint of Gutters , Mother Teresawent home to
God. But Missionaries of Charity, the order established by Mother in 1950, still
continues to feel her divine presence around. The moment one enters the premises
of Mother s House on AJC Bose Road in central Kolkata, one is overwhelmed by a
feeling of warmth, peace and serenity like one has never experienced before. Two
days before her tenth death anniversary, the spirit of Mother Teresa rests in peace
in a white marble tomb, built in the middle of Mother s House, and is surrounded
by devotees, who sit with their heads bowed, paying a silent tribute to the lady who
gave up everything to serve the poorest of the poor . Service to the poorest of the
poor still continues to be the fundamental article of faith in Missionaries of Charity.

Essay on War
Essay on war
War has been a part of human culture since it s birth. It has led to a great many
massacres and has shown us the evil that exists within the souls of humanity. Some
have even gone as far as saying that war is human nature. To better understand the
reasons behind war and how it affects others, I ve examined several different
societies and cultures so as to better understand the necessity of war and see the cause
of their external war attitude. To do so, different variables from two topics (military
institutions and external war attitude) were matched up and crossed so as to look into
the answers to these questions. The variables were then calculated and through these
graphs, I was able to find different societies in which ... Show more content on

Warfare to the Somalis was seen as a division of labor that was the principal means
of acquiring cattle. In times of war, peasants would be taken from /their/his/ home
/s/ for months at a time. Warfare was organized by the chiefs on behalf of the kin
and it was the duty of every able bodied man to take part in it (pg 133 Philip). In
order for one to become wealthy within a society, they must earn it through the
privilege of authority. This comes from the reward of conduct pleasing to one s
superiors. For the most part, the wealth of a man comes from the exercise of poetical
virtues, obedience to authority, wisdom in council, and courage in war.
During battle, leadership among the Somalis is led by a general who the king
feels will be the right one only after having a consultation with the appropriate
spirits. He also selected the people of certain sazas to guard the king. These people
did so simply by staying home. The leaders of the armies were forceful during
wartime. Every able bodied man was expected to turn out, but though the penalty for
cowardice in the field was instant death by burning, people who simply stayed at
home were merely fined on their chief s return (P. 193 Philips).
The generals were important as a moral rallying point. It is said that the army
would lose heart if their general is killed in battle , but as soon as his successor is
found, their courage would return. The decision to engage in war was made mainly
by the king and his orders
The Psychology of Adolf Hitler Essay
The Psychology of Hitler
It is no surprise to very few that Adolph Hitler is one of the most infamous humans
ever to have been born. To this day, the mention of his name can conjure up
emotions deep within us. He is responsible for the deaths of millions of people
either directly or indirectly. The fascinating aspect of his life is what was the true
motivation behind his prejudice, cruelty, and heartlessness. The next logical
speculation for most would be his upbringing or that he was physiologically unstable,
more logically it was a combination of the two. However, before that conclusion can
be made the history of his environment as well as how heredity could have influenced
him.

In January of 1907, Klara Hitler (Hitler s mother) went to see a doctor about chest
pain. The doctor, Bloch who was Jewish, diagnosed her with breast cancer. She had
surgery however the cancer was very advanced. Hitler followed the
recommendation of Bloch to do a painful and expensive treatment with consisted of
applying idoform directly into the ulcerations caused by the cancer. However, the
treatments did not work and in late December of that same year, she passed away.
Ironically, Bloch had seriously reduced the charges owed for Hitler s mother s
medical bills; Hitler had told Bloch that he shall be grateful to you forever.
While it is my opinion that the parenting practices of Hitler s youth did influence him
somewhat, I am not convinced that they played a big enough role to create the man
that Hitler became.
Hitler was raised sternly however was doted on by his mother, this seems to be
normal for the time period. While his father Alois was legitimate, it was also rather
irrelevant. Hitler was not chastised by anyone because of his father s illegimaticy.
He showed a huge interest in war and socialism at a young age, in fact it was one of
his father s books that piqued his interest originally.
Hitler s father was a contradiction. He was a civil servant, obedient to the law and

How Does Chopin Characterize Edna s Individuality
In The Awakening, Chopin uses literary techniques (change to the specific
techniques later) to characterize Edna s individual, yet stubborn and cowardly
nature, proving her flawed character traits to be the cause of her suicide. Chopin
displays Edna s individuality as she moves into the pigeon house (144), showing her
individuality and causing separation between her and her family, as well as between
her and society. Edna s individuality is truly shown as she states the true motive
behind the move the feeling of freedom and independence (122). Edna s diction of
freedom and independence convey her desire for these qualities, and prove her move
into the pigeon house to be driven by individuality (122).Chopin describes the

Anorexia Nervosa And Bulimia Nervosa
Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa are a few of the most common disorders
struggled with today. Anorexia Nervosa is a condition of the intense fear to gain
weight, which results in consistent lack of eating. Bulimia Nervosa, involves
frequent episodes of binge eating followed by throwing up because of fear of
gaining weight. The mortality rate for anorexia is the highest of all mental
disorders yet the genetic factors relating them were not a huge concern to look
into. It is easy to think that Anorexia and Bulimia are mentality induced only, but
there are indeed genetic factors related despite how small the evidence may be.
Personality disorders are heritable, and are commonly developed after an eating
disorder or a large reason someone develops one. The study of serotonin, a
compound found in Bulimia, Anorexia and depression, can be passed down
through genes and they play a small part in eating disorders worth acknowledging.
Inheriting genes that make an individual athletic naturally can affect the chances of
eating disorder. There is no evidence that one particular gene could cause an eating
disorder, but there are various traits and levels of compounds that when inherited,
increase the likelihood of developing one. Personality disorders are more likely to
develop from an eating disorder and are common preceding factors for one.
Individuals exposed to stressful environments who are genetically more vulnerable,
are at risk for developing an eating disorder. Narcissists

Mortgage Vs Bad Credit Mortgage
Obviously most people can t afford to buy a house with cash, so most home buyers
need to obtain a mortgage. A mortgage is a loan given to the person who wants to
buy the house and the house that the individual wants to buy is then held as the
collateral for this money until the debt is fully paid off. The payment for this debtis
done in monthly installments that have a calculated interest rate.
Bad credit mortgages work exactly the same way, but are for people who have a
poor credit history. For example they may be individuals who have always been late
to make their car payments, not pay their utilities on time, or forget to pay their
monthly credit card bills. Even simple carelessness can take a toll on your credit
score, the people you owe money to don t care why you can t pay, they just care that
they re not getting paid. This inability to make payments on time decreases a person s
credit score with the credit reporting agencies. ... Show more content on

Well as mentioned above, it is mainly targeted at those who have poor credit history.
Those who are having a hard time getting a loan to buy their dream home. The other
difference is that the terms of payment for a bad credit mortgage are entirely
different. More often than not the rates offered for the bad credit mortgage are
significantly higher. The advantage of the bad credit mortgage is that you do get the
loan. It is very frustrating going from bank to bank and not being able to secure a
loan so sometimes the higher interest rate may be worth it.
The question then arises how can I get this bad credit mortgage? This is the
beautiful part about the bad credit mortgage. You do not need a lot because it is
basically designed for those who do not have a lot. That is why it is called the bad
credit mortgage. Sometimes it is even given to those who have no credit history at
all. Do not forget no credit history means you have a low credit
An Overview of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe was one book out of a collection that
reveals The Chronicles of Narnia. It was written by Clive Staples Lewis, better

points of interest such as: betrayal, forgiveness, and pride. Lewis uses these key
points to reflect on Christian themes. This essay will compare Deep and Deeper

Edmund s character is a representation of man because we do sinful deeds, but we
are never too far gone that redemption is not an option. The story displays this when
Edmund is being mean and deceitful and then slowly transforms into an admirable,
brave warrior. When the witch was defeated Peter says, It was all Edmund s doing,
Aslan. We d have been beaten if it hadn t been for him (p.195).
Aslan, the lion king epitomizes the greatness of Narnia and the creatures that it
inhabits. Aslan displays Christ like traits by having power that is unmatched and
being unquestionably benevolent. He shows forgiveness after rescuing Edmund from
the White Witch. Aslan tells his brother and sisters, Here is your brother and there is
no need to talk to him about what is past (p.153).
Just as Christ separates our transgressions from as far as the east is from the west.
Later, he sacrifices his life for Edmund, just as Christ sacrificed his life for all of
mankind. This sacrificial expression was governed by the mystical laws set forth by
The Emperor Beyond The Sea.
The Emperor Beyond The Sea is Aslan s father. He is the ultimate God of Narnia
and has been around since before the dawn of time. He has set forth mystical laws
that govern the creatures of Narnia just as God did in the beginning. There was the
word and the word was with God.

Persuasive Essay On Snapchat
In this paper I am going to be discussing the use of snapchat in my life and its
policies. Snapchat as an app is very widely used and was created in 2011. With its
ability to have messages in picture form that disappeared quickly, it was and still is
very appealing; especially to adolescents such as myself. The thing I find so many
people fail to look past with this app is its privacypolicies and how much information
they are giving to snapchat. One of my major focuses will be on the surveillance
tactics used by Snapchat.
First it was just photos, then screenshots, then face recognition came, and now most
recently something called snapchat maps. The amount of content and personal
details Snapchat has collected of our lives is astounding; however, everyone looks
past it. Snapchatting is a different a fun way to communicate, which is why it is so
popular and what encourages people to look past all that we give them. Snapchat
currently has 173 million users, which just shows how much access to people
everywhere around the world. It knows our name, location, birthday, email, phone
number, and even more than we can imagine. Until doing this project I was one of
these people, blinded by how much I was truly giving away about myself, but now
after looking through their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, I truly have learnt a
great deal.
One of the first things I came across that was most intriguing to me is all the
information they take from your phone alone. They have

The 20th century saw more changes to education than the thousand years preceding
it. This was largely in response to a recently industrialised country; with newly
acquired voting rights, it became apparent that education should not be only for elites.
Education is a crucial element of social mobility and it is important we fully
understand both the positive and negative aspects of previous legislation to help us
plan for the future. The were two major 20th century pieces of legislation: 1944
Education Act and 1988 Education Reform Act. Both brought with them changes that
are still being felt today. This essay will cover those Acts in detail, along with other
sizable changes such as comprehensivisation, marketization and how other external...

The ramifications of Butler s failure to separate church and schooling and further
pandering by all subsequent ministers can still be witnessed today. The church s
influence on teaching on subjects evolution has forced the requirement of a law to
ban creationism being taught (BHA, 2014). It has also come to light that many faith
schools teach a very narrow worldview pertaining of just their own beliefs (NSS,
2015).
Furthermore the school age was raised to 15 in 1947, with secondary education
beginning at 11. Though the lack of funding and teaching costs meant this took a
long time to fully implement as the act stated it should be raised to 16 as soon as
feasibly possible but this did not happen until 1972.
Other changes included free milk and meals, clothing grants as well as transport to
and from schools. As families would normally expect children to be working by the
age of 13 14 these measures ensured there was not too high a financial burden on
parents. Giddard (2011) argues that although there were many problems with the
1944 Act its redeeming features were forward looking and progressive.
Few debates in education have been given more time than grammar schools. Though
not a part of the 1944 Act the tripartite system was based on a report by the Norward
committee (1943); which made recommendations based on the pseudoscience notion
of there being three types of mind:

Voting Age
Throughout the years, younger generations have been given more and more
oppurtunities to engage in tasks previously only adults could do. Voting is one such
task that should stay with the older generation. Recently, many people have been
advocating for the voting age to be lowered from its current status of 18 down to 16.
They say this because the percentage of eligible voters that are actually participating
is at an all time low. However, decreasing the votingage will just enhance this issue.
Furthermore, people who are under the age of 18 tend to be iresponsible and tend to
make rash, uninformed decisions. We need an older wiser generation to make the

How Did The War Of The Roses Affect Society
The War of the Roses, which lasted from 1455 to 1487, was an extremely bloody
and violent war that tore England apart and brought havoc on much of the English
countryside. The war not only unified England, but also exposed problems in
English society. The war destroyed the English class and economic system that had
been in place for hundreds of years. The aristocracy was no longer safe from public
criticism and citizens began to demand less social persecution. The warweakened the
power of the autocrats as well as set new standards of social order. Although wars
can be terrible and lead to loss of life, they can also sometimes have effects that
resemble cultural, social, political, and economic progress. The War of the Roses
was a war between the two royal houses of England, the Lancaster and York houses.
It began due to both houses claiming heirs to the throne by being descendants of
Edward III who died in 1377. The war did not have a first battle though until 1455
when Henry VI was ruler and was deemed as a weak king therefor making a good

Current Status Of The Refining Industry Essay
The refining industry is a massive global industry that brings in billions of dollars
every year. Millions of Americans use gasoline and petroleum products in their
daily lives but rarely give much thought to how these fuels get refined, or which
states or nations do the majority of the reining. Even fewer people give thought to
the impact that the lack of refineries has on oil producing states, and/or oil rich
nations. This research paper examines the current status of the refining industry, the
domestic and global locations of oil refineries, the impact of the aging domestic
refineries, as well as considering if/where the U.S. should build new refineries to
keep up with the growing demand. An analytical look into the status of the refining
industry reveals that this billion dollar industry is relying on aging refineries, why
refineries are located where they are and the impact that not having a refinery has on
both oil producing states (in America) and on oil rich nations around the globe. Oil
refineries are dispersed throughout the world and throughout the United States, but
what makes one location better suited for a refinery than another? Many refineries
are located close to crude oil production centers such as the Gulf Coast (which has
significant volumes of crude oil produced both onshore and offshore); near
destinations for importing crude oil; or near major population centers where much of
the refineries output will be needed (e.g., California and the areas near
Making A Change For A Better Process
Making a Change for a Better Process Healthcare is under constant reassessment
because of daily innovation. With this assessment comes the realization that one
process has better outcomes than another indicating the need for change and change.
Since change is only as good as the planning that goes into it leaders in nursing must
be prepared to manage change properly and effectively. The purpose of this paper is
to identify an inefficiency in an organization and develop a change management plan
in accordance with the organization s mission, vision, and values. This change is
based on principles from Lewin s theory of change and diffusion of innovationwith
clear steps to follow involving all of those affected by the change.
Identified Problem While teaching the medical surgical internship several new
graduates expressed concerns about a behavior on the unit that led them to
question the specifics of scope of practice. Specifically, electronic order entry has
emphasized the problem that physicians have been asking that telephone and verbal
orders be used as an alternative to directly entering orders. Doctors would tell the
nurse in person to order a lab or medication for a patient as opposed to writing it in
the chart or directly entering the order into the system. Some nurses may not see
issues with this practice, but the truth is that this practice greatly increases the
likelihood of errors for the patient. In a systematic review Nuckols et al. (2014) even
found that
I Woke At The Sound Of Roosters Greeting
I awoke to the sound of roosters greeting the morning outside my window.
Breathing in the already hot tropical air, I detected notes of coffee wafting from
the adjacent common living space, which doubled as a kitchen. After spending
only three days in Piedras Gordas, Panama, my host family had embraced my
broken Spanish and love for fresh juice, but SeГ±or Dominguez had yet to approve
of me helping with the sugar cane harvest. The differences between our cultures
were apparent, yet I was ready to embrace them and expand my horizons. Panama
is an interesting contradiction, with bustling cities only miles from quiet mountain
villages. With over 80% of Panama s rural population living in poverty, few
families own cars in the village that became my home for a week. The village is a
sprawling collection of houses, a school, a small co op, one church, and a rather
abandoned looking medical clinic. The only characteristic of the stark concrete
structure revealing it as such is a sign reading ClГnica, barely visible through
overgrown grass. One day, as we were walking to a neighbor s, I pointed to the
structure, asking my host mother what it was. She explained it was a medical clinic,
but only staffed with nurses a couple times a month. Any other medical needs or
emergencies must be taken care of in the nearby town, approximately 30 minutes by
bus. Though I found this disconcerting, she simply continued our conversation this
level of care is her norm. This poignant moment added
The Effects Of Inequality On The Rice Campus
Other than the door, another problem exists on the pave walk of pedestrian s street.
I have experience there are several difficulties while going around on wheelchair on
the streets on campus. One major problem was tilted side walk towards the road
which caused wheelchair to slide. However, this problem was resolved as I pay
more attention to the street. The street on the Rice campus is relatively wide and I
could above these tilting as long as I pay attention and distance myself from it.
Many tilting on the streets avoidable if I didn t need to use them. However, the
problem raises when I have to use these inclines. With 58 pounds of wheelchair, as
well as my own weight and the weight of my backpack, it was very tiring to climb
these inclines.
Manufactures suggested Retail Price
Manufactures Suggested Retail Price (MSRP)
The Manufacturer s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP), list price or recommended
retail price (RPP) of a product is the cost at which the manufacture proposes that the
retailer offer the product. Although the goal is to aid to institutionalize costs, it is not
often the value the retailer use or the value the customers are willing to pay. The
retailer has the freedom to sell the products at a price lower than the MSRP to move
the product faster or they can set it higher than the MRSP to bring in more profits if
the item is selling faster than initially foreseen.
The MSRP for Allround suggested retail was $5.29, according to the PharmaSim case
study, The manufacturer s suggested retail price (MSRP) for Allround is relatively
high with volume discounts ranging from 25 40%, not including promotional
allowances . Our pricing decision for the PharmaSim simulation we felt was
important because consumers have alternatives to choose from and are better
informed. Our initial retail price of $5.45 was an increase from the suggested retail
of $5.29 to adjust with inflation rate of 3.1%, which boost sales from $355.3 million
to $434 million totaling $78.7 million in sales growth. We purchased survey data to
help establish the price. Consumers perceived our product being the most effective in
cold relief which allowed Allstar to raise the price incrementally and consumers were
still willing to purchase the product.

Essay On Social Problems

  • 1. Essay On Social Problems Writing an essay on the topic of social problems can be quite challenging due to the multifaceted nature of the subject. Social problems encompass a wide range of issues, including but not limited to poverty, inequality, discrimination, environmental degradation, and various forms of injustice. The complexity arises from the interconnectedness of these problems, making it difficult to address one without considering its impact on others. One of the challenges lies in the extensive research required to gain a comprehensive understanding of the various social issues. It necessitates delving into sociological theories, statistical data, and historical contexts to provide a nuanced analysis. Additionally, the constantly evolving nature of societal challenges requires staying updated on current events and emerging issues. Moreover, articulating thoughts coherently and presenting a well-structured argument is crucial. Balancing the need for factual information with a persuasive narrative can be tricky, especially when tackling sensitive and controversial topics. Striking the right tone that is both informative and engaging while remaining respectful to diverse perspectives poses another layer of difficulty. Furthermore, the emotional toll of exploring and discussing societal problems can be draining. It involves confronting uncomfortable truths about the world we live in, and addressing these issues responsibly without oversimplifying or sensationalizing requires a delicate balance. In conclusion, writing an essay on social problems demands a combination of research skills, critical thinking, empathy, and effective communication. It requires navigating a complex web of interconnected issues while maintaining a thoughtful and respectful tone. The process may be challenging, but it is essential for fostering awareness and understanding in society. If you find yourself struggling with such assignments, it's worth noting that there are resources available to help. • 2. Essay On The Monroe Doctrine The Latin American countries received this doctrine with sincere gratitude. The leaders of Latin America figured that the doctrine itself had no power against the Holy Alliance unless the British gave it support. They also knew it very well that their future of independence was in the hands of England and her supreme naval power. Even Simon Bolivar and his men considered the doctrine harmless tool of US s national policy. According to Crow, author of The Epic of Latin America, It was not meant to be, and was never intended to be a charter for concerted hemispheric action. 2.8.3 Implementation of Monroe Doctrine Let us now view some important world affairs chronologically where the United States tried to implement her long tenet Monroe Doctrine. In 1852, some politicians of the United States used the principle of the Monroe Doctrine to argue for forcefully removing the Spanish from Cuba. In 1862, French forces under Napoleon III invaded and conquered Mexico, giving the country to Austrian born Emperor Maximilian. Americans proclaimed this as a violation of The Doctrine , but were unable to intervene because of the American Civil War. After the civil war came to an end, the US brought troops down to the Rio Grande in hopes of pressuring the French government to end its occupation. Mexican nationalists eventually captured the Emperor and executed him, reasserting Mexico s independence. In the 1870s, President Ulysses S. Grant and his Secretary of State Hamilton Fish endeavored to replace European influence in Latin America with that of the United States. Part of their efforts involved expanding the Monroe Doctrine by stating hereafter no territory on this continent shall be regarded as subject to transfer to a European

  • 4. The Articles Of Confederation With the dilemma of revising the failures of the Articles of Confederation, a group of people known as the Federalists; wrote a bundle of essays for the proposal of a new Constitution, also known as the Federalist Papers. The proposal of the U.S. Constitution was originally rejected by the anti Federalists who opposed the idea of having a Constitution. In order convince those who were in opposition of the revising the previous Articles of Confederation with a new Constitution, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton and John Jay wrote the Federalist papers. The authors of the Federalist papers wrote these essays in a way where it explained how the American government should be formed and the significance of the American government in how it relates to the daily lives of the American people. The authors of the Federalist papers also answered any topics that were concerning those who were opposed to the Constitution, as well as those who anxious if the newly proposed Constitution would be certain situations that they were currently living in. The authors also provided an ample amount of examples in history to strengthen their argument of the proposal of the U.S. Constitution, but that is not to say there were not weakness embedded into these arguments. Federalist paper No. 10 begins by introducing the idea that a well established government has the capabilities of controlling the potential violence and damage caused by factions. From James Madison s perspective, a faction is a

Young people considered at hazard are the individuals who participate in risky behavior, for example, drug abuse, liquor use, and developed sexuality. A technical term At risk youths (Siegel Welsh, 2011, p. 3) is defined as that undeveloped people who are exceedingly exposed to the unenthusiastic results of schoolfailure, substance abuse, and premature sexuality. This term is not directly related to the movie, Coach Carter (2005), but the audiences recognize those contents about juvenile delinquent activities in the movie and are naturally able to achieve the knowledge about the seriousness... His character is represented in a destructive light toward the start of the film. He is extremely disrespectful to numerous of his close players and Carter. He is tough and hot tempered. A decent sample of his behavior would be on carter s first day. Once five minutes of Carter being trainer he moves into a battle with him. He vocally mistreats the Coach and even endeavors to damage him. Carter reacts by pushing him to a headlock and hitting him against wall and requests him to leave the gymnasium. Timo furiously exits out of the gym shouting, This Ain t Over! , and promises never to return over to basketball. He retreats in the city trafficking and offering drugs with his cousin Renny. As times of the film go by, Timo s wrongful behaviors could be understood and fixed by Carter s rules and sincere heart. • 6. Clostridium Difficile Infection ( Cdi ) Is The Most Common... Clostridium difficile infection (CDI) is the most common cause of antibiotic associated diarrhea (AAD). Rapid diagnosis of CDI is essential to prevent hospital spread of infection. The aims were to determine the prevalence of CDI among cases of AAD in Zagazig University Hospitals, identify risk factors, and evaluate real time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and enzyme immunoassay (EIA), against toxigenic culture (TC). Stools were collected from 150 patients with AAD. They were tested for TC, toxin A/B EIA, and C. difficile tcdA/tcdB genes. Thirty four toxigenic C. difficile isolates were obtained (22.7%) out of the 150 patients and those patients were considered positive for CDI. On the other hand, 6 non toxigenic C. difficile isolates were obtained (4%), while culture of the remaining 110 patients (73.3%) did not yield C. difficile. The later 116 patients (77.3%) were considered negative for CDI. Analysis of risk factors revealed that advanced age, prolonged hospitalization, long duration of antibiotic intake, potentiated penicillins, 3rd generation cephalosporins, antibiotic combined therapy, liver cirrhosis, malignancy, proton pump inhibitors, enteral tube feeding, and cancer chemotherapy were significantly associated with CDI. Sensitivitiy, specificitiy, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, and accuracy of real time PCR against TC were all 100%, however, values of EIA were 79.4%, 100%, 100%, 94.3%, 95.3%, respectively. • 7. Bohemian Rhapsody Essay It is often assumed that Freddie Mercury, the frontman for the hugely popular rock group, Queen, lived a life of hedonistic exuberance. There are countless pictures of Mercury out at clubs in his flamboyant costumes, drinking and having fun. This reputation as a party animal led journalist Matthew Horton to state that, The Fredster lived his 45 years like a man possessed a man possessed by the spirit of reckless, balls out excess (Horton). So to claim that this same man was actually immensely influenced by religion and had deep concerns about society may seem like a stretch. However, despite his ostentatious image, Freddie Mercurydeliberately composed his songs to highlight his early childhood experiences with Zoroastrianism and strong... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Mercury spent his youth during the tumultuous 60s and 70s, surrounded by social and political rumblings. It was difficult to ignore the protests and riots that filled the news broadcasts. A war was raging in Vietnam and presidents were being assassinated. In the midst of all this, a counter culture movement was gaining momentum that would begin to demand more tolerance towards human sexuality, women s rights, gay liberation, and diverse subcultures. When Queen began to gain widespread popularity in the 70s, the band s ornate style and vivacious music often hid the concerns of Mercury. Being bisexual, Mercury was forced to live in the shadows, unable to freely live his life. This secret life led many to doubt Mercury s concerns about society. When Mercury died of complications due to AIDS, the autoimmune disease, many people criticized Mercury for not donating to AIDS charities before dying (Sky, 183 185). However, according to Mary Austin, Mercury donated millions to AIDS charities before his death, and was very involved with AIDS activism (Sky, 183 185). People close to Mercury describe him as a generous man who preached kindness to
  • 8. Effects Of The Black Death How did the Black Death change the lives of the people who survived, not only from the amount of fatalities, but also by the disruption of religion and the economy? I believe the effect on Europe during this time were beyond devastating due to the loss of about twenty five million people. The Black deathstarted in Europe in October 1347. It arrived there by sea when twelve Genoese trading ships came and docked in the Sicilian port of Messina. When people went to greet the sailors on the ships, they were shocked when they discovered the majority of the crew was dead and the living were severely ill. Although the Europeans had heard a rumor of a disease like the Black Death, they were not in any way prepared for what was to come. The Black Death, as we know now, is transmitted through the air or by a bite from an infected flea or a rat. The beginning of the disease was the formation of strange swellings, either on the groin or armpits named plague boils. These boils, then had blood and pus seep out of them, and it was followed by chills, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, terrible aches and pains, and shortly after, of course was death. This disease was very efficient and it was terrifying because some would go to bed perfectly healthy and could be dead by morning. The Black Death spread through Europe to Iceland and Greenland and reached Russia by 1352, and many regions lost a quarter to a third of their population. Although the cause of the Black Death was spread by bites from

  • 12. The Harmony Of The Gospels Essay Harmony of the Gospels The first four books of the New Testament, collectively referred to as The Gospels, are Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Defined, gospel means good news (BD, 682). Together, these gospels written by distinctly different authors, each with a different perspective, offer marvelous insight into the life and ministry of the Savior and Redeemer, Jesusthe Christ. Through their similarities and differences, they provide a beautiful testimony of his teachings and works to provide a dynamic and living picture of who Jesus is: a King, Christ in action, a human, and as the light and life of the world. Each author is striving to bring the good news of who the Son of God is and his amazing and infinite Atonement, to all mankind. Matthew The first book of the New Testament is Matthew. Matthew was known before his conversion as Levi (BD, 729), and lived in Capernaum which is located on the Northern Shore of the Sea of Galilee (The Holy Land in New Testament Times, Map 11). He was Jewish publican, or tax gatherer, which was possibly one of the most hated positions of that time. During Christ s ministry, Matthew was called to be one of the Twelve Apostles, named in Matthew 10:3. In his writings, Matthew emphasizes that Jesus is in fact that very Messiah that had been prophesied in the Old Testament, by citing the words of Isaiah, Micah, and Jeremiah (Class Lecture, September 19). He sought to show the Jews that Jesus is the King of kings, the promised Messiah (BD,

Reitman uses a variety of different aspects to convey the vision and viewpoint, such as the plot, imaginative language and imagery, and superb characterization. Through these Juno , despite having its dark moments, elicits an overall feeling of positivity and optimism. A positive feeling emanates from the opening scenes of Juno . Set in 2006 in Minnesota, the film opens in warm autumnal sunshine. The love scene between the eponymous 16 year old Juno and her boyfriend, Paulie Bleeker, is shot in soft focus and subdued lighting, conveying a sense of tender affection. In an animated sequence we see Juno walk in a confident carefree manner accompanied by an upbeat song on the soundtrack. In this work the parameters used to evaluate the efficiency of a protocol are the packet delivery ratio, packet statistics in the network and the throughput of the network. The protocols AODV and AODVBC are checked against these parameters for their performance. Packet delivery ratio of the network is improved as the mobility with respect to the number of nodes changes. Increase in the PDR (Packet delivery ratio is because of the less number of packet drops when AODVBC is used. Fig. 4 justifies the better performance of AODVBC routing protocol over AODV protocol in terms of less number of packets drop. In order for one to become wealthy within a society, they must earn it through the privilege of authority. This comes from the reward of conduct pleasing to one s superiors. For the most part, the wealth of a man comes from the exercise of poetical virtues, obedience to authority, wisdom in council, and courage in war. He showed a huge interest in war and socialism at a young age, in fact it was one of his father s books that piqued his interest originally. Hitler s father was a contradiction. He was a civil servant, obedient to the law and serving society. However, the way he treated his family at home was drastically different; the children

How Does Chopin Characterize Edna s Individuality In The Awakening, Chopin uses literary techniques (change to the specific techniques later) to characterize Edna s individual, yet stubborn and cowardly nature, proving her flawed character traits to be the cause of her suicide. Chopin displays Edna s individuality as she moves into the pigeon house (144), showing her individuality and causing separation between her and her family, as well as between her and society. Edna s individuality is truly shown as she states the true motive behind the move the feeling of freedom and independence (122). Edna s diction of freedom and independence convey her desire for these qualities, and prove her move into the pigeon house to be driven by individuality (122).Chopin describes the intimate
  • 29. Anorexia Nervosa And Bulimia Nervosa Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa are a few of the most common disorders struggled with today. Anorexia Nervosa is a condition of the intense fear to gain weight, which results in consistent lack of eating. Bulimia Nervosa, involves frequent episodes of binge eating followed by throwing up because of fear of gaining weight. The mortality rate for anorexia is the highest of all mental disorders yet the genetic factors relating them were not a huge concern to look into. It is easy to think that Anorexia and Bulimia are mentality induced only, but there are indeed genetic factors related despite how small the evidence may be. Personality disorders are heritable, and are commonly developed after an eating disorder or a large reason someone develops one. The study of serotonin, a compound found in Bulimia, Anorexia and depression, can be passed down through genes and they play a small part in eating disorders worth acknowledging. Inheriting genes that make an individual athletic naturally can affect the chances of eating disorder. There is no evidence that one particular gene could cause an eating disorder, but there are various traits and levels of compounds that when inherited, increase the likelihood of developing one. Personality disorders are more likely to develop from an eating disorder and are common preceding factors for one. Individuals exposed to stressful environments who are genetically more vulnerable, are at risk for developing an eating disorder. Narcissists

  • 31. Mortgage Vs Bad Credit Mortgage Obviously most people can t afford to buy a house with cash, so most home buyers need to obtain a mortgage. A mortgage is a loan given to the person who wants to buy the house and the house that the individual wants to buy is then held as the collateral for this money until the debt is fully paid off. The payment for this debtis done in monthly installments that have a calculated interest rate. Bad credit mortgages work exactly the same way, but are for people who have a poor credit history. For example they may be individuals who have always been late to make their car payments, not pay their utilities on time, or forget to pay their monthly credit card bills. Even simple carelessness can take a toll on your credit score, the people you owe money to don t care why you can t pay, they just care that they re not getting paid. This inability to make payments on time decreases a person s credit score with the credit reporting agencies. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Well as mentioned above, it is mainly targeted at those who have poor credit history. Those who are having a hard time getting a loan to buy their dream home. The other difference is that the terms of payment for a bad credit mortgage are entirely different. More often than not the rates offered for the bad credit mortgage are significantly higher. The advantage of the bad credit mortgage is that you do get the loan. It is very frustrating going from bank to bank and not being able to secure a loan so sometimes the higher interest rate may be worth it. The question then arises how can I get this bad credit mortgage? This is the beautiful part about the bad credit mortgage. You do not need a lot because it is basically designed for those who do not have a lot. That is why it is called the bad credit mortgage. Sometimes it is even given to those who have no credit history at all. Do not forget no credit history means you have a low credit
  • 32. An Overview of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe Essays The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe was one book out of a collection that reveals The Chronicles of Narnia. It was written by Clive Staples Lewis, better known as Jack Lewis. In this story, Lewis uses his characters to address several key points of interest such as: betrayal, forgiveness, and pride. Lewis uses these key points to reflect on Christian themes. This essay will compare Deep and Deeper Magic from the Dawn of Time , the significance of the cracking of the Stone Table, and the role playing of prophecies. It will discuss how this story is a supposal, an example of symbolism, and how it could be called just magic. p There were several significant characters in this story: Aslan a lion, Edmund a little boy, The... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Edmund s character is a representation of man because we do sinful deeds, but we are never too far gone that redemption is not an option. The story displays this when Edmund is being mean and deceitful and then slowly transforms into an admirable, brave warrior. When the witch was defeated Peter says, It was all Edmund s doing, Aslan. We d have been beaten if it hadn t been for him (p.195). Aslan, the lion king epitomizes the greatness of Narnia and the creatures that it inhabits. Aslan displays Christ like traits by having power that is unmatched and being unquestionably benevolent. He shows forgiveness after rescuing Edmund from the White Witch. Aslan tells his brother and sisters, Here is your brother and there is no need to talk to him about what is past (p.153). Just as Christ separates our transgressions from as far as the east is from the west. Later, he sacrifices his life for Edmund, just as Christ sacrificed his life for all of mankind. This sacrificial expression was governed by the mystical laws set forth by The Emperor Beyond The Sea. The Emperor Beyond The Sea is Aslan s father. He is the ultimate God of Narnia and has been around since before the dawn of time. He has set forth mystical laws that govern the creatures of Narnia just as God did in the beginning. There was the word and the word was with God. Father Christmas comes into the story to spread good news, to let the readers know
  • 33. Persuasive Essay On Snapchat In this paper I am going to be discussing the use of snapchat in my life and its policies. Snapchat as an app is very widely used and was created in 2011. With its ability to have messages in picture form that disappeared quickly, it was and still is very appealing; especially to adolescents such as myself. The thing I find so many people fail to look past with this app is its privacypolicies and how much information they are giving to snapchat. One of my major focuses will be on the surveillance tactics used by Snapchat. First it was just photos, then screenshots, then face recognition came, and now most recently something called snapchat maps. The amount of content and personal details Snapchat has collected of our lives is astounding; however, everyone looks past it. Snapchatting is a different a fun way to communicate, which is why it is so popular and what encourages people to look past all that we give them. Snapchat currently has 173 million users, which just shows how much access to people everywhere around the world. It knows our name, location, birthday, email, phone number, and even more than we can imagine. Until doing this project I was one of these people, blinded by how much I was truly giving away about myself, but now after looking through their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, I truly have learnt a great deal. One of the first things I came across that was most intriguing to me is all the information they take from your phone alone. They have
  • 34. The Main Provisions Of The 1944 Education Act And 1988... The 20th century saw more changes to education than the thousand years preceding it. This was largely in response to a recently industrialised country; with newly acquired voting rights, it became apparent that education should not be only for elites. Education is a crucial element of social mobility and it is important we fully understand both the positive and negative aspects of previous legislation to help us plan for the future. The were two major 20th century pieces of legislation: 1944 Education Act and 1988 Education Reform Act. Both brought with them changes that are still being felt today. This essay will cover those Acts in detail, along with other sizable changes such as comprehensivisation, marketization and how other external... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The ramifications of Butler s failure to separate church and schooling and further pandering by all subsequent ministers can still be witnessed today. The church s influence on teaching on subjects evolution has forced the requirement of a law to ban creationism being taught (BHA, 2014). It has also come to light that many faith schools teach a very narrow worldview pertaining of just their own beliefs (NSS, 2015). Furthermore the school age was raised to 15 in 1947, with secondary education beginning at 11. Though the lack of funding and teaching costs meant this took a long time to fully implement as the act stated it should be raised to 16 as soon as feasibly possible but this did not happen until 1972. Other changes included free milk and meals, clothing grants as well as transport to and from schools. As families would normally expect children to be working by the age of 13 14 these measures ensured there was not too high a financial burden on parents. Giddard (2011) argues that although there were many problems with the 1944 Act its redeeming features were forward looking and progressive. Few debates in education have been given more time than grammar schools. Though not a part of the 1944 Act the tripartite system was based on a report by the Norward committee (1943); which made recommendations based on the pseudoscience notion of there being three types of mind:

Voting is one such task that should stay with the older generation. Recently, many people have been advocating for the voting age to be lowered from its current status of 18 down to 16. They say this because the percentage of eligible voters that are actually participating is at an all time low. However, decreasing the votingage will just enhance this issue. Furthermore, people who are under the age of 18 tend to be iresponsible and tend to make rash, uninformed decisions. We need an older wiser generation to make the decisions, not the young ones. First, let s lay the argument of the percentage

How Did The War Of The Roses Affect Society The War of the Roses, which lasted from 1455 to 1487, was an extremely bloody and violent war that tore England apart and brought havoc on much of the English countryside. The war not only unified England, but also exposed problems in English society. The war destroyed the English class and economic system that had been in place for hundreds of years. The aristocracy was no longer safe from public criticism and citizens began to demand less social persecution. The warweakened the power of the autocrats as well as set new standards of social order. Although wars can be terrible and lead to loss of life, they can also sometimes have effects that resemble cultural, social, political, and economic progress. The War of the Roses was a war between the two royal houses of England, the Lancaster and York houses. It began due to both houses claiming heirs to the throne by being descendants of Edward III who died in 1377. • 39. Current Status Of The Refining Industry Essay The refining industry is a massive global industry that brings in billions of dollars every year. Millions of Americans use gasoline and petroleum products in their daily lives but rarely give much thought to how these fuels get refined, or which states or nations do the majority of the reining. Even fewer people give thought to the impact that the lack of refineries has on oil producing states, and/or oil rich nations. This research paper examines the current status of the refining industry, the domestic and global locations of oil refineries, the impact of the aging domestic refineries, as well as considering if/where the U.S. should build new refineries to keep up with the growing demand. An analytical look into the status of the refining industry reveals that this billion dollar industry is relying on aging refineries, why refineries are located where they are and the impact that not having a refinery has on both oil producing states (in America) and on oil rich nations around the globe. Oil refineries are dispersed throughout the world and throughout the United States, but what makes one location better suited for a refinery than another? Many refineries are located close to crude oil production centers such as the Gulf Coast (which has significant volumes of crude oil produced both onshore and offshore); near destinations for importing crude oil; or near major population centers where much of the refineries output will be needed (e.g., California and the areas near

Specifically, electronic order entry has emphasized the problem that physicians have been asking that telephone and verbal orders be used as an alternative to directly entering orders. Doctors would tell the nurse in person to order a lab or medication for a patient as opposed to writing it in the chart or directly entering the order into the system. Some nurses may not see issues with this practice, but the truth is that this practice greatly increases the likelihood of errors for the patient. In a systematic review Nuckols et al. Breathing in the already hot tropical air, I detected notes of coffee wafting from the adjacent common living space, which doubled as a kitchen. After spending only three days in Piedras Gordas, Panama, my host family had embraced my broken Spanish and love for fresh juice, but SeГ±or Dominguez had yet to approve of me helping with the sugar cane harvest. The differences between our cultures were apparent, yet I was ready to embrace them and expand my horizons. Panama is an interesting contradiction, with bustling cities only miles from quiet mountain villages. With over 80% of Panama s rural population living in poverty, few families own cars in the village that became my home for a week. The village is a sprawling collection of houses, a school, a small co op, one church, and a rather abandoned looking medical clinic. The only characteristic of the stark concrete structure revealing it as such is a sign reading ClГnica, barely visible through overgrown grass. One day, as we were walking to a neighbor s, I pointed to the structure, asking my host mother what it was. She explained it was a medical clinic, but only staffed with nurses a couple times a month.
