This group used these elements very well. The shape of their tribute was very unique with the
long slim design that grows larger at the end with the soccer ball. The form was a part of it as
well because the artwork was 3d. It had a very small depth and width but the height was very

Thomas Hobbes was an English Philosopher who was born in 1588. Hobbes is best known for
his book Leviathan, which was published in 1651. Hobbes political philosophy can best be
described as philosophical absolutism, the absolute rule of a people by a ruler. The book
Leviathan was based on the idea that a government should be too strong for the people to
overthrow and can rule the people with absolute power. Hobbes chose a Leviathan to represent
the government that has absolute power and is strong enough to never be overthrown. Another
famous English philosopher whose ideas are often compared to Hobbes is, John Locke. Locke

In the mining world, there are three different types of tunnels. There are rudimentary,
interconnecting, and sophisticated but this paper will only focus on the structure and building of
sophisticated tunnels. Some features of a sophisticated tunnel are that it reach as deep as seventy
feet underground and tall and wide enough for an adult to walk through or for a mine cart to be
pushed through. When building these sophisticated tunnels, first the earth is chipped away by
handheld electric spades and the workers are filling sandbags with dirt and rocks in order to have
the clearest pathway in the tunnel. Then the rail systems tart to get set up where it s just a large
metal crate connected to an electric pulley system in order to get the sandbags with dirt and rocks
out of the tunnel.
A structural feature about these tunnels is that the ceiling would be slightly arched in order to
distribute the pressure and weight of the earth to prevent a collapse. Another feature of
sophisticated tunnels is the ventilation when a black plastic tubes connected by pipe clamps
would be affixed to the top of the tunnel in order to provide oxygen for the workers. The rail
system that was in sophisticated tunnels was two metal tracks that were laid down to bring debris

Chicago is a city with over 2.7 million residents (Wikipedia, City of Chicago), living in the biting
cold weather still happy and trying to cope up with the hustle and bustle of the big city. It has nearly
all the ethnic cultures within the neighborhood, if one wants to experience any of these ethnic
cultures they simply need to pay a visit to these neighborhoods.

The objective of the Naked Egg Lab is to soak the egg in a solution and determine if that solution is
isotonic, hypertonic, or hypotonic in relation to the egg. A solution is a mixture of two or more
substances in which the molecules of the substances are evenly distributed (Miller/Levine 2000).
The substances in a solution are solutes, the substance that is dissolved (Miller/Levine 2000), and

for three different types of solutions; isotonic, hypertonic, and hypotonic. An isotonic solution is

The Demand In the United States, there is an increasing demand for human organs. According to
the Department of Health and Human Services, approximately, 123,366 people are waiting for an
organ and daily, 21 people will die waiting for an organ. These numbers increase every day and
the gap between the number of patients waiting for a transplant and the number receiving a
transplant has continued to widen. According to research, in 2014, more than 8,500 deceased
donors made possible approximately 24,000 organ transplants. In addition, there were nearly 6,000
transplants from living donors. Nearly 48,000 sight restoring corneal transplants were performed in
the U.S. in 2014 (Statistics | Donate Life America, n.d.). However, these figures are not enough in
order to meet current and foreseeable demand. Figure 1 below demonstrates how this gap has

How Violent Media Affects Children
There is a very important social issue that must be addressed to save our future generations from
decline. The social issue I will be analyzing is how violence in media affects children. Thus
brutality itself becomes at once the means to success and the content of success a success that is
defined in its most general terms, not as accomplishment or specific gain, but simply as the
unlimited possibility of aggression(Warshow 433). Doing evil deeds to reach a certain level of
success is how a gangster reaches success and this perception of bad being good clouds children s

violence to fit in with a group of people by doing drugs or being a bully towards others is a very
common example. Many groups use peer pressure to appeal to the crowd. Using drugs has
attracted many people to groups that deal drugs or promote the usage of drugs. The studies also
discovered that more than 14 percent of prime time television shows portray tobacco use without
any negative consequences, and more than 11 percent of American
