These ideas develop as the chapter progresses, many of these he backs with factual evidence
however what if a child was named something more crude than Loser. Say this child s name was
Adolf and his last name was Hitler, the child may grow up mostly normal. This would all change
around 5th grade when kids start to learn history time periods such as World War 2. He may have
gotten weird looks by adults when introducing himself, but never the level of awkwardness and
shame after learning who he was named after. Would his friends mock him, would kids make fun

His arguments are strong because he brings so much information and evidence to his book it
makes it hard to argue against his points without doing an extreme amount of research as he must
have. Which leads to only giving arguments solely based on conjecture. The things that could be
said minus in depth research is some of the easier ones to pick on such as names determining
future. For instance naming your child after someone as awful as the figure of Adolf Hitler is,
children do react accordingly to their environment. He may lead a successful career or work at a
fast food restaurant, or who knows joina white supremacist group. Though there is no instance
where any child could be named that and not be affected in a negative way. He would have led a
much happier life if his parents, carrying the last name Hitler, would have named in John, Fred or
