The purpose of this lab was to see if radiation has an effect on the cultivated radish seeds that we

Conclusion
From the obtained data, we were able to fail to reject the alternate hypothesizes. Gamma radiation
levels had effects on the radish seeds. We were able to determine these levels by comparing these
results to the control which was just a radish seed that was never altered by any radiation for as far
as we know.

allow me to get a very good grip on them. Foregoing the vine idea, I decided to try and pack dirt on
top of the sticks to create a forced base. Although the dirt was moist, it still wouldn t pack well and
kept cracking and crumbling.
After laboring to press grass stems into the dirt, while picking up the pieces of mud that were
accumulating at my feet, I finally got the first word imprinted with the grass and was finally

I am intending to react a chosen length of magnesium ribbon with different concentrations of
hydrochloric acid. I will measure the time taken for the magnesium ribbon to disappear (be used

is dropped into the hydrochloric acid seen to be reacting with the acid i.e. producing bubbles of

concept of warranty is not only putting the company s reputation on the line, it is promising

Perhaps she was just rosy from the fever, or more likely just relieved that she was finally going
to be released from her dreary life of being frightened by Yakov, mistreated, and not appreciated.
Even though Marfa only has a small presence in the text, she is a great tool for Chekhov. She is
used to bring up Yakov s past. Marfa says Do you remember fifty years ago God gave us a little
baby with flaxen hair? We used always to be sitting by the river then, singing songs . . . under
the willows, and laughing bitterly, she added: The baby girl died. Yakov did not remember his

is said that he didn t feel well. However it is never clarified if he is physically ill, or emotionally
ill. If Yakov is only emotionally ill and ends up dying from this it would indicate that Yakov is
much more deeply connected to Marfa than has previously been shown. This would perpetuate the
theme of loss, because if he was extremely close to his wife, then her loss is only that much more
