Flight test data acquired from a Cessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft was used to validate a corresponding
Level 6 Flight Training Device. Data collected from the FTD was used to develop the "skyway"
training aid. Potential use may include visual augmentation towards improved training of flight
students learning the lazy eights maneuver. Analyses of acquisitioned flight test data will be used to
evaluate the effectiveness of flight training devices as an instrument for data collection and visual
augmentation generation.

The past three years of my life feel like the only part of my life where I have truly lived. The
massive majority of my most cherished memories and greatest challenges have taken place within
the last few years. On December 26th 2015 my mom surprised me with a intro flight at my local
flight school as a Christmas present; it was a simple flight up and down the Miami coastline at five
hundred feet right as the sun was setting, and I was hooked the instant my instructor Rudy gave me
the yoke. Seeing the city lights ignite the coast as we calmly trekked over downtown Miami was an
image that incited a sense of wonder and longing in me that I had never experienced before. That
short one hour flight went by in an instant, and before I knew it I was back one week later to begin
my journey to where I am today. Over the course of two and one half months I balanced sophomore
year of highschool with my private pilot training, finishing two weeks after my seventeenth birthday
on March 31st. The next week I started my instrument and breezed through it in two months, and I
quickly moved onto my commercial. The biggest obstacle of my commercial training was Time. By
the time I was done with my instrument and ready to knock out my next stage of training, I learned

My story is neither the most adventurous nor the most interesting. I grew up in an environment,

training for any of the armed services, but an inter–service roadmap is planned for combining future
training programs. The researcher will analyze multiple military and civilian aeronautical based
articles on the subjects of simulator use for operator training including Army and Air Force future

will be clear regarding the need for cost–saving initiatives and standardized UAV training, including

I was planning the flight to Murfreesboro, KMBT. It was an easy enough flight to plan considering I

The reason that this came about was the captain of the Colgan accident flight in Buffalo, New York

Private Pilot Ground School
Aviation. A topic that both inspires and I still fear into many. I happen to find aviation very
inspiring. There are a few reasons why I chose to take "Private Pilot Ground School", to get
prepared for flight school, to learn the basics of flight, and because I have aspirations of being a
pilot after high school and college in both the military and commercially for a big corporation such

When I am discharged from the military I hope to have all of my flight hours in to be able to fly for
a commercial airline. Being the C–130J–30 is a bigger plane, this would prepare me well for being a
commercial pilot for Delta where I would like to fly Boeing 747's. I would like to start off small
flying privately for a CEO or other top official at a company to start off my career after my military
career. This is a small slow start but the opportunities are endless, and wouldn't be as overwhelming
as jumping straight up to flights with hundreds of people and a very busy schedule. In the end, I
took this class for a few reasons, to get prepared for flight, to learn the basics of flight, and lastly
because I have aspirations of being a pilot after high school. I hope all goes well in my journey in
