Rainfall induced landslide hazards in Kenya represents a major challenge and remain
an important issue in disaster management especially in Kenya s central province
region where the effects are very common with the onset of El nin Мѓo rains. The
main aim of this study is to develop a rainfall induced landslide probability map for
Kenya s central province. In order to achieve this, process based methods were used
to map landslide areas using the following factors: slope, rainfall, land cover
change,Normalized DifferenceVegetation Index (NDVI)change, Curvature,
watershed, and soil characteristic including: type, texture, soil bulk density, Base
Saturation, and Total Water Available Distribution Map. The minimum conditions
were set for each factor for landslide occurrence. Slope stability mapping was done
to determine the stable areas and thus derive the probability of landslide occurrence.
Statistical methods were then employed by means of weights of evidence to achieve
the probability weights for each factor considered to cause landslides. The factors

measures which can correct the problem of CAD.
Fiscal deficit When there is huge development expenditure by the government,
demand of domestic goods as well as demand of imported goods increases and

Francisco Franco. On the 18th of July 1936 Generals of the Spanish Army led a coup
against the democratically elected
Popular Front government of Spain. Within days, the country was plunged into one of
the bloodiest wars the world had ever seen, with the Republicans battling the
insurgent Nationalists for control of the country. The Nationalists were fascist in
principle, and therefore received massive amounts of aid from Hitler and
Mussolini as a result of their shared ideology. The rest of the world turned their back
on Spain and signed the nonintervention act, which constituted a series of agreements
limiting foreign involvement in the Spanish Civil War. The Republicans were
communist and received a limited amount of aid from the Soviet
Union. However, their main source of aid did not originate from a single power, but
from a group of some forty thousand volunteers from around the world united in
saving communism in Spain.
These volunteers constituted the International Brigades and represented 53 different

As I walked into The Center for Arts Theatre there was still plenty of seating but
there was a lot of excitement and noise coming from the audience members who had
already found their seats to watch The Nutcracker that was directed by Ashley Miller
Davis based on E.T.A. Hoffman s, The Nutcrackerand the Mouse King (1816). The
production was choreographed very well by DeAnn Petruschke and Ashley Miller
Davis. The costume crew Lisa Ivy and Brenda Linton also did a great job with each

can progress to more serious conditions, including dengue hemorrhagic fever and

Small slices of potato are placed in six concentrations of sucrose: 0.0 M, 0.1 M,
0.2 M, 0.3 M, 0.4 M, and 0.5 M. The initial mass of potato is noted before being
placed in the solution. The potato remained in the solution for one hour then the
potato was removed from the solution and dried off before the final mass was noted.

Once the hour was over, the potato slices were removed from the solution, dried off
in a paper towel, and weighed once again. In the 0.0, 0.1, and 0.2 M of sucrose
concentrations the final mass of the potato increased. Therefore H2O enters the
potato cell because the solution is hypotonic. In the 0.3, 0.4, and 0.5 M of sucrose
concentration the final mass of potato decreases. The solution is hypertonic which
causes H2O to exit the potato cells through the semipermeable phospholipid bilayer.
The results prove that the different molarities of concentration affect the mass of the
potato in different ways; the mass of potato either increased or decreased depending
on the molarity of sucrose concentration.

In this experiment, the osmotic concentration is found with potato slices placed in
sucrose solutions. Osmosis in this model is the net movement of water between the
potato cell and the sucrose solution. The movement of water is determined by the
