I conducted an interview with George Phillips, a sociology professor at the
University of Central Florida. I held the interview on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at
Noon. I chose to interview him because my topic deals with the interactions of
people and studying their social behaviors which is a sociology topic. I emailed
him to ask him for a time to interview and then set up the interview for a time while
I wasn t working and that he said would work for him. I made sure I had permission
to record the interview and then sat down with him to get his responses. I asked 5
questions on his opinions of students social habits in relation to video streaming. We
discussed how he has seen student s social lives change because of the availability of

Psychological Association (APA), released policy statements of a clear association
between media violence and societal aggression (Ferguson, 2015). On the contrast,
actively, a group of estimated 230 media scholars, criminologists, and psychologists
wrote an open letter to the APA. In this letter, they asked APA to withdraw their
policy statements and cease from making casual speculation.
Does media violence immediately cause the increasing number of violent crimes? In
2000, the Federal Trade Commission(FTC) made a survey for the scientific evidence
and the warning of negative influences of media violence (Dahl Vigna, 2009).
Simultaneously, the American Medical Association, with five other public health
organizations, revealed the threat of exposure to media violence.
However, the evidence, showed in the reports of this survey, does not prove an
obvious link between media violence and violent crime (Dahl Vigna, 2009). The

In the short story Stephen the boy s lack of close companions results in his current
state of alienation; this ultimately results in suffering. Stephen is a foster child,
abused by his foster mother and his art teacher. In school, Stephen has no friends,
and the adults in his life make his situation worse. While in school, He talks to
himself. He moves his mouth as if he were talking (40). Stephen gets very lonely in
school causing him to act out, and therefore gets punished by his art teacher.
Furthering his misery, Stephen has no one to explain his abuse to. His classmate in
school describes him coming in one day; He lied to me first when I asked him how
his eye got so battered (40). Without friends in his life, Stephen does not feel
comfortable expressing his problems to anyone; the lack of companionship has
isolated him so that he lacks the skills needed to interact and express himself to
others. Ultimately this is the reason for the continuation of his suffering. The pain he
has to endure would not continue if Stephen had someone close in his life he could
trust and elucidate his abuse to.
In the short story Interlopers two enemies fighting for their survival realize their
grudge, and the lasting feud is insignificant compared to their continuing survival.
The two rival men, Ulrich and Georg, are hunting in the woods and stumble upon

during the process and the way a change occurs. Thus, these models help one

Transtheoretical Model of Health Behavior Change The transtheoretical model helps
explain the patient s behavior change related to the health aspects. As per this change
agent, the patient s purposeful behavior change consists of the cognitive and the
performance based elements. The five stages of the model are precontemplation,
