Essay For English Language
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Essay for English Language" can be a daunting task, as it
involves a paradoxical challenge of both being meta and informative. It requires delving into the
intricacies of the English language while simultaneously employing the language itself
effectively. The difficulty lies in striking the right balance between theoretical discussions on
language principles and the practical application of those principles in the essay.
To begin with, defining the scope of the essay can be a complex endeavor. The English language
is vast and dynamic, with its grammar, syntax, semantics, and rich history. Deciding what aspects
to focus on becomes a crucial decision, and it requires a deep understanding of the subject
matter. Furthermore, incorporating relevant examples and references to support the arguments
adds an extra layer of complexity.
The challenge extends to the need for clarity and coherence. Balancing a sophisticated and
nuanced discussion on the English language with the requirement for accessibility and
readability can be intricate. It demands not only a profound knowledge of linguistic nuances but
also a skillful application of rhetorical devices to engage the reader effectively.
The essay's structure is another potential stumbling block. Striking the right balance between
introduction, body, and conclusion while maintaining a logical flow of ideas is a meticulous
task. Each paragraph needs to contribute to the overarching theme while ensuring smooth
transitions between thoughts.
Additionally, avoiding clichГ©s and presenting original insights on a topic that has been
explored extensively poses a significant challenge. It requires a creative approach to weave
together a narrative that is both enlightening and refreshing for the reader.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Essay for English Language" demands a high
level of proficiency in both the subject matter and the language itself. It necessitates a delicate
balance between theoretical depth and practical application, clarity, and complexity. While the
process may be arduous, the reward lies in creating a piece that not only encapsulates the essence
of the English language but also showcases the writer's mastery over the craft of essay writing.

Descriptive Essay About Tea Shop
Nestled between Starbucks and Supdogs on Franklin Street sits the newly
constructed Tama Tea. The shop, known for its over fifty tea flavors, has recently
become a common site for college students to study and eat between classes.
Constructed to represent a tropical, relaxed theme, the employees of Tama Tea
attempt to create an aesthetic and ambient atmosphere in order to market their
brand towards young adults. The tea shop is identifiable by its rustic, brick
exterior, with Tama Tea etched in large white letters above the doors. Outside the
door sits a sign enticing customers to enter the shop and try the coffees because the
we [the employees] love you a lotte . Glancing inside the large windows, people can
always be seen either studying or conversing with their friends as they sip tea and
coffee. Upon entering, I was faced with a large display table with candles and tea
cups. To my right was a teal wall with six shelves containing an assortment of teas
which sat below words used to categorize the tea such as premium and fruity. By the
tea shelves there was also a table with a window seat, facing Franklin St. The left
wall was the same rustic brick that decorated the exterior of the shop, and the only...

Gregor Mendelian Inheritance
Gregor Mendel worked to bring about Mendelian inheritance. Genetics can be
defined as: the study of heredity and variation of inherited characteristics. Mendel
worked in the lab on pea plants. Therefore, in Figure 1A it shows how from working
with the pea plants he concluded that genes come in pairs and are inherited as distinct
units with one inherited from each parent. He also tracked the segregation of parental
genes and their appearance in the offspring as dominant and recessive. This was a
major breakthrough in genetics. Two scientists, Gantz and Bier, worked in a lab with
fruit flies. They expected their results to show only one out of four newborn flies to
have shown effects of the mutation their mothers carried an X linked recessive
The Effect Of Eating On Eating And Exercise ( Qol Ed )
Abstract
Aim: We compared the quality of life related to eating and exercise (QOL ED) in
women seeking fertility treatment with and without PCOS controlling for age and
BMI Body Mass Index (BMI).
Method: Twenty one women with and 132 women without PCOS attending IVF
clinics completed a questionnaire containing the QOL ED global score consisting of
five eating disorder subscores.
Results: Women with PCOS had a poorer QOL ED and were almost three times
more likely to obtain a score suggestive of the presence of an eating disorder
(47.6%) than women without PCOS (16.7%, p 0.005). Women with PCOS had
poorer QOL ED global scores (p 0.005), generally poorer eating disorder subscores,

Women with PCOS are at increased risk of metabolic problems (impaired insulin
resistance, impaired glucose tolerance, type 2 diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular
disease),3 reproductive abnormalities (infertility, hyperandrogenism and hirsutism)4
and psychiatric illness (anxiety, depression and poorer quality of life)5,6. It is
postulated that decreased fertility in women with PCOS results from ovarian
hyperandrogenism, hyperinsulinemia secondary to insulin resistance and altered
intraovarian paracrine signalling, which disrupt the growth of ovarian follicles.
Arrested follicular development results in menstrual irregularity, polycystic ovaries,
further hyperinsulinaemia and excess androgen production2,7. Anovulation is the
predominant cause of infertility in PCOS8, with fewer women experiencing impaired
oocyte development resulting in miscarriages9.
The optimal treatment for infertile women with PCOS is not well established. In
2011 a team of specialists developed evidence based guidelines for the assessment and
management of PCOS based on current literature10. The guidelines suggest
preconceptional counselling, lifestyle modifications including weight reduction and
exercise, cessation of smoking, and a reduction in alcohol consumption10. After these
modifications, ovulation induction with anti estrogen clomiphenes citrate, metformin
or a combination of both may be trialled10.

Isaac Asimov Self Driving Cars
In 1953, Isaac Asimov wrote a story about self driving cars. It shares many
similarities to what is happening right now and what will happen in the future.
There are even articles talking about self driving cars that share many similarities to
what happened in Sally. There are pro s and con s to self drivingcars, and these
articles feature both. The negatives of self driving cars in the articles are similar to
the negatives in Sally, just like the positives in the articles are similar to the positives
in Sally.
Self driving cars may soon be a possibility. Both articles mention the ability of cars
being able to drive themselves. Not because police are going soft but because you

Another futurist paints a more chilling picture, where the driverless world intersects
with terrorism. (Washington) They found him dead, she said. Imagine that. Just
lying dead in a ditch. , It might be a stranger altogether, I mumbled. (Asimov 14) In
the article, it talks about terrorists being able to use the cars for malevolent deeds. In
Sally, the cars also can injure and kill people. Cars need to have safety features so
that terrorists and other people with bad intentions can t use them for their terrible
agendas.
Self driving cars will be much more safe if humans are not behind their wheels. All
that s needed to remove humans entirely from the equation is for the cars to better
learn to read and respond to the roads. (Washington) In all that time, there d never
been a human being behind her wheel. Not once. (Asimov 1) Both articles reference
self driving cars not needing human assistance. The both talk about how much more
safe the roads will be if humans are not in control of the vehicles.
Both the articles about self driving cars and Sally share many, many similarities.
Hopefully, self driving continue to evolve and the market continues to grow. We
may be able to use them in may more ways than we could have ever imagined. They
could cause issues, but we should be able to solve them. Self driving cars are already
in the making, and will soon be the

all departments have had their challenges and the team needs to understand
employee needs and what it takes to retain staff. Frank shared that in Military they
are working on creating a new atmosphere by creating a hospital within a hospital
concept. This would consist of a new name; instead of calling it the Military
Program, it will have some sort of Military based operational name where they can
then create tee shirts for the staff, a website that links to that name, and make the
unit more cohesive. This will help bring the unit closer together. It is also very
important to have core teams on each unit. John added that the staff is upset that
core staff will be pulled to work other units, but the resource staff will be given the
1st option of where they would like to work. Fulltime staff feels they are not being
treated fairly. Michael also added that a lot of times holes need to be filled at the last
minute that create a hardship for all. More staff is needed to help build a core
7 Minutes Of Terror Essay
Sometimes when we look at it, it looks crazy, said Adam Steltzner. Adam is an
engineer who works for NASA, a part of the United States government that explores
space. Adam was talking about landing something on Mars. It is the result of
reasoned engineering thought. But it still looks crazy.
Adam and some of the people he works with made a video called Seven Minutes of
Terror about a Mars landing. In the video, they introduced people around the world to
one of the most daring and creative achievements of engineering ever completed.
That achievement was the pinpoint landing of Curiosity on Mars. Curiosity is a
machine called a rover, and it was built to explore the surface of Mars.
The seven minutes described in Adam s video refer to ... Show more content on

Instead, engineers came up with a maneuver that would allow the craft carrying
Curiosity to turn quickly. Then, rockets would turn on and allow Curiosity to make a
vertical landing.
Switching from a parachute to a controlled rocket descent could have gone wrong at
any time. Still, even getting the descent right was not enough to succeed. Once the
parachute was cut free, the force from the rockets could raise so much dust that the
dust itself could damage the rover.
Always thinking ahead, the engineers came up with a solution. They created a
device to complete the last step of the landing. The device was called a sky crane.
When the sky crane was close to Mars s surface, it used a set of cables to lower
Curiosity onto the ground.
At last Curiosity landed, going from 13,000 miles per hour to zero in just seven
minutes. The capsule that had been carrying Curiosity still had all its rockets firing.
It blasted back into the sky and landed somewhere else on the planet. The landing
was a success.
The Ongoing Mission
NASA says that the MSL mission is part of a long term plan. This plan uses robots
to explore Mars. The most popular question is whether there ever was life on Mars.
Looking for the answer to that question is just one piece of a bigger
Essay about Everyday Use by Alice Walker
Everyday Use by Alice Walker
Everyday Use by Alice Walker, is a story of a black family composed of a mother and
her two daughters: Maggie and Dee. Walker does an excellent job illustrating her
characters. There are all types of characters in this short story from round to static.
Dee is a flat character, yet Walker uses Dee s character to warn people of what might
happen if they do not live properly. Walker describes Dee s character as arrogant and
selfish, and through Dee s character one is allowed to perceive the wicked effect of
an egotistical world.
Dee is portrayed as a light skinned black person who feels as though she is better than
everyone else because her waist is small, her skin is light, she has a nice grade of ...

Dee does not truly value the heritage, and her interest in the quilts seem to reflect a
cultural trend. This cultural trend becomes evident when the mother says, I had
offered Dee a quilt when she went away to college. Then she had told me they were
old fashioned, out of style (Walker 96). We learned early in the story that Dee
acquired a style at a young age, and she allowed the world around her to alter and
manipulate that style.
Dee believes she is more cultured than her family. She may have more knowledge
about different cultures and religions that she learned in school, but she does not
know as much about the family heritage as she thinks she does. For example, when
Dee changes her name to Wangero Leewanika Kemanjo she destroys important
links to her heritage that she will never understand. Her mother tries to explain to
her that her name is significant because it belonged to particular beloved ones.
However, Dee seems to reject the names of her ancestors, yet she is eager to seize
their handmade goods. When Dee realizes she is not going obtain possession of the
quilts, she storms out of the house without saying a word. It is apparent that the only
reason for her visit is to get the family heirlooms, not to see the house, her mother, or
Maggie.
Maggie is illustrated as Dee s foil. Dee is everything that Maggie cannot be
externally. Maggie is implemented into the story to provide a greater emphasis on
My Reflection
Dobson s (2004) book relates to my own personal life episode of receiving
spankings during my childhood. The personal life episode of receiving a spanking
that comes to mind is when I was about six years old. It was a Saturday evening and
my mom, brother, sister, and I were coming home from spending the day at my
grandmother s house. My mother stopped in Florence, SC at the Burger Kingto get all
of us something to eat on the way home. I remember my mother asking each of us
what we wanted to eat. I remember my brother and sister saying that they wanted a
cheeseburger and fries, while my response was I want a hamburgerwith cheese. My
mother went to the drive thru and placed the order of four cheeseburger and four
fries. I remember yelling at the top of my lungs that I do not eat cheeseburgers; I
only eat hamburger with cheese. My mother told me to stop yelling and tried to
explain to me that a cheeseburger was the same thing as a hamburger with cheese.
I proceeded to yell some more and telling her that I was not going to eat the
cheeseburger, because that was not what I wanted and that she should of order
what I wanted. When my mother gave me my food I took it and throw the burger
down on the floorboard of the car and told her to order me what I wanted and that
she could eat this cheeseburger because I was not eating it. My mother told me to
pick up the burger and that I was going to eat it and that if I did not stop acting the
way I was then I was going to get a spanking.
Germany and Cause of World War I Essay
Germany and Cause of World War I
In 1914, World War 1 broke out between six main countries. These were Britain,
France, Russia, Germany, Austria Hungary and Italy. The murder of Archduke
Franz Ferdinand was what triggered off the war but I am here to discuss how there
was a lot more to it than the murder of just one man. Germany did not cause the war
alone, as will soon come clear.
Germany felt encircled, as there was a strong friendship between Russia to the east
of Germany and France to the west. Germany felt it was their attempt to surround and
threaten them and as Germany was already jealous of the huge build up of arms in
Russia, there was an immediate rivalry between them. Germany had ... Show more

Germany didn t have much of an empire which made Britain outraged, as they could
see no reason to build one due to this, but Germany said they needed a navy to
protect their growing trade.
Germany had always admired the way Britain ran their empire and had always
wanted a navy like them so when Britain raised the stakes by launching the HMS
Dreadnought, Germany responded by building their own. From 1906 1914 the two
countries raced to build as many dreadnoughts as they could and in 1909 Germany
came very close to beating them. By 1914 however, Britain had 29 and Germany had
17 Dreadnoughts.
Britain had every right to be suspicious of Germany, as they had no need for a
navy. Germany was jealous and envious of Britain and wanted to be more like them
so that s the more the reason why they would want a navy. However, I believe
Britain was being unreasonable as they had no right to tell Germany they could not
build one as it was within their right, which was what Britain did.
Germany also had wishes for a big empire in Africa and as Britain and France both
controlled some parts of Africa they both felt threatened. For France, this was not the
first time as in 1871 Germany stole Alsace and Lorraine from France. They did not
want this happening again. France wanted to seek revenge.
Before 1908, the Turkish Empire controlled the Balkans and when
Mexican People Living In Texas In The 1930 s
Mexican people living in Texas, which until 1830 was part of Mexico, had a
peaceful life. As any other city, the society was divided into rich and poor classes.
Spanish descendants were the rich and mixed blood people were the poor. Even with
these marked social distinctions, the Mexicans had no major problem with each
other. BY 1920, the Mexican government in its effort to increase the economy,
invited Americans to move to the vast expanse of land. Taking advantage of the rich
soil in Texas, in a while, there was more Anglos than Tejanos living in this part of
Mexico. Although the Mexicans copied the lifestyle of the White Americans, No
dramatic historical modifications disturbed the cultural structure of the Mexican
Tejano community (p.168).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The revolution in 1836, introduced new ways of doing things, a new language,
and a new socioeconomic and political order (p. 169). Americans always believing
in their white race superiority, brought with them a clear racism sentiment, seeing
dark skinned people as inferior. As a consequence of these racist ideas, Harassment
and persecution appeared as daily occurrence for Tejanos people simple because,
they were Mexicans (p. 170). The abuse was extreme that many Texans decided to
flee with their families to other states in Mexico. Then, Squatter occupied the land
left behind, invading Texas and the Anglos increasingly invaded the state of Texas
until arriving at a point of consider banishing Tejanos form the Republic (170).
Another conflict point was that Mexican Tejanos were always against slavery, but
for the Americans, slavery was an essential part of their economy. Tejanos frequently
help slaves to scape to Mexico; then, as a way to avoid this situation, The town of
Seguin drafted resolutions prohibiting Mexican peons from entering the country and
forbidding Mexicans to associate with blacks (p. 171). In other words, Mexicans
would not have the right stay in the land, which for years, belonged to Mexico.
Discrimination was getting worse, and Tejanos continued to lose their land,
persecuted for crimes they did not commit, and often executed without a reason. The
truth was, These violent attacks were but an extreme form of racism that frequently
surfaced in every day affairs
The Most Beautiful Woman I ve Ever Known

My mother told me how much she cried and cried and cried. She was scared

That blessing unveiled itself in room 305B of the local high school, a room well
known by the student body as the source of the smooth, idyllic melodies of Liang

became a music teacher at his alma mater. He had great ambitions to save up his
salaries to attend university and become a great businessman, ambitions that were
hindered when he fell victim to the affairs of the heart. Taking refuge from her
unraveling world, my mother often visited room 305B to indulge in the sweet

Advanced Directive Essay
Tennessee law on advanced directives is a document that tells your family, friends,
and doctors on how you want to be treated in an emergency. Advance directive can
be a document or a living will in which you state the plan of care when you are no
longer able to communicate treatment choices or decision. Advance directives is
not only for the elderly but it can be at any age even if you are not sick at the time
of the document. This document list the details of treatment that you want
implemented if a serious incident was to happen. It would tell what interventions
should be used in your care. Some of the choices would include a full status code
where the patient wants CPR or a do not resistant code can be used for treatment.
The client can also have the option of limited interventions with each code status. It
would include artificial ventilation or artificial feeding and any type of tubes
associated with your treatment. The client can also be specific if he or she wants
just medical treatment only including the use of drug therapy. In this paper, we will

made their status a code C. During this time the patient coded, and the wishes the

Biography Of George Balanchine s The Ballet
George Balanchine once said The Ballet is purely a female thing; it is a woman, a
garden of beautiful flowers, and man is a gardener (Goellner and Murphy, 36) ,
but this ideology doesn t apply to everyone. King Louis XIV of France wasn t a
gardener, but the beautiful flower. He started practicing ballet from a young age.
The ballet was rising in the late 17th century and it had an important role both in
social and political sections. Also named as the Sun king, Louis XIV had the
longest reign of absolutism. To strengthen his absolute monarchy, Louis XIV used
ballet as one of his political tools. Louis XIV was born as a son of Louis XIII and
Anne of Austria. He was portrayed as a gift from God and a miracle as he was
born after four stillbirths of her mother. When King Louis XIII of France died,
Louis XIV was only four years old, which led his mother Anne to become the
Regent under the guidance of Cardinal Mazarin. Since the country was ruled by a
Regent with the help of ministers and a child waiting to be a king, a few nobles saw
this as an opportunity to gain more power, which became the beginning of Fronde .
Louis s throne and his life was in serious danger. Seeing all this chaos, the citizens
started losing faith in the court government. To regain their faith, Mazarin, the chief
minister used Louis title and talent for dancing to initiate an aura of divinity around
the notability of the king (Hilton 5). That s how Louis

Essay on Political Culture of Mexico
Mexican Political Culture
As once put by Mexican Nobel laureate Octavio Paz, Mexico is a land of super
imposed pasts (McCormick, p.326). It continues to be and is seen as a melding pot
of its European and Native American ideas about society, law and government. Its
history has had a major influence on the political culture of Mexico, seen through
years of revolution, violence and corruption. Mexico is a considered a new
democracy, but there is a tension still seen between democracy and authoritarianism.
The country we see today has impressive growth yet is still enduring poverty. It s a
geographically diverse country, with a population of approximately 106million

It is said that in December 1531, the Virgin Mary appeared on three occasions to a
Christian Indian, Juan Diego, six kilometers north of Mexico City, and identified
herself as Guadalupe. It is said that the Guadalupe symbol links family, politics and
religion; the colonial past and the independent present; and the Indian and the
Mexican. It reflects the salient social relationships of Mexican life and embodies the
emotions they generate. (Merrill MirГі, Religion) Devotion to the Virgin Guadalupe
remains strong even as Mexican society changes. For example, in a national opinion
poll found, nine out of ten Mexicans still continued to ask intercessions from the
Virgin or another saint. (Merrill MirГі, Religion) Another huge aspect of Mexican
political culture is the Constitution of 1917. Many Mexicans attribute the origins of
the political system in Mexico to the Revolution of 1910 1920 and it s Constitution
of 1917. Unlike their American neighbors, the people of Mexico focus and look to
the past, not the future, to there missed dreams and hopes. Many people of Mexico
support and have faith and pride in the Constitution of 1917, agree with the goals of
the Revolution and support their political institutions. (McCormick p.333) The

The Importance Of Native Americans In North America
North America during the Colonial period had the natural resources the Europeans
dreamed about. For example, the mighty Mississippi River for trading and
transportation, the pine trees for lumber, and the rich soil in the south for growing
crops. The Europeans saw the potential of economic opportunity in North America.
The Europeans spent months traveling from England to the New World and they
were quenching for the possibility of finding a land that would benefit England. The
Native Americans viewed North America as sacred and took care of their land as
much as possible. When the Europeans arrived, the deer population plummeted due to
the need of meat from the Europeans. The New England colonists realized that the
soil in New England was unreliable because of the infertile soil and the weather.
When the Europeans came to North America, they carried numerous diseases with
them. Keep in mind that the Europeans traveled by ship for months and some ships
had an infestation of rats and mosquitoes. Vaccinations did not exist during the
Exploration years, so explorers and the Natives had diseases of smallpox, pneumonia,
and yellow fever. The Native Americans were dying by the numbers because of the
European diseases that they came into contact with the Europeans. Several Native
American tribes had healers which the Europeans thought were Doctors. The Native
Americans used nuts, berries, and certain plants to heal either a snakebite, scratch,
wounds from animal attacks, and
Mozart s Accomplishments
In the same year he was born, Mozart s home country of Austria had just started
fighting the 7 Years War1. The war started because a group of Austrians attempted
to take back a rich province that had been taken from them by Frederick II the Great
of Prussia during a war that occurred ten years prior1. In the end, Austria wasn t able
to regain the stolen province, but it did prevent other countries from taking more
territory1. The war also left Austria almost bankrupt, which caused problems for
many years afterwards1. During the 18th century, many musical elements were
introduced. Sonata form was created around this time and Joseph Haydn further
developed it2. Mozart built on Haydn s ideas and used them in his own works2. Most

Equine Industry Research Paper
The equine industry or better known as the horse world is one of the largest
industries in the world today. It is a multimillion dollar enterprise that involves more
than just the horses. The equine industry is popular worldwide and involves people
from all different places and backgrounds. It has a significant impact on the economy
in the U.S. and other countries as well. So what makes this industryso important to
countries economies worldwide? Many people might assume it s just the excitement
of the rodeo or horseshow that draws people to pay money to watch the excitement.
However, it is so valuable to the economy, because of the diverse opportunities it

The horse world impact in the European economy is close to 108 billion U.S.
dollars. The English side of the industry is more prominent in European countries
such as Germany and Ireland. In Ireland, racing, breeding, and equestrian sports are
the three main parts of the equine industry. Despite it being a rather small country,
it holds a very high position nationally in all three parts. Ireland has a long history
with horsemanship skills that contribute to it being the third largest breeder of
thoroughbreds in the world. According to Ireland s Minister for Agriculture, Food,
and the Marine Simon Convey, We have all the natural advantages for horse

contributes approximately 750 million U.S. dollars to its overall economy. However,
the Western side of the horse world, particularly barrel racing, is growing rapidly in
places like Canada and Brazil. For example, the Chief Executive Officer of Equine

contribution made by Canadian equestrians to our country s economy and quality of

Persuasive Essay On Trolling
Technology is one of the most efficient and fastest means of communication of the
modern times. In today society people have access to the internet within arm s reach
either through the smartphones, computers, or other devices. Access to the internet
has become part of the daily routine in modern society. While there is a lot of
information transmitted through the internet which can be very useful to some, there
is also information that can be misinterpreted and dangerous or offensive to others.
Based on the creatures from the Scandinavian mythology, trollis a common word
within the online users. The Oxford dictionary defines a trollas a person who makes
some deliberately offensive or provocative online posts. It is imperative that trolling
comments be moderated, since this is one of the two online bulling methods that
society is exposed now a days through social media platforms. To refute this type of
behavior society should be respectful of each other s opinions, detect the behavior of
a troll, and use common sense to ignore this type of attacks.
People who are dedicated to making trolling comments should be banned due to the
lack of respect for other s opinions. The respect for other s persons opinion is an
important trait that society seems to be forgetting about. There are many online
social media platforms that allows for communication among their users,
unfortunately there is no control in what is being said in these forums, as most users
tend to ignore the

In a production MapR cluster, some nodes are typically dedicated to cluster
coordination and management, and other nodes are tasked with data storage and
processing duties. An edge node provides user access to the cluster, concentrating
open user privileges on a single host. In smaller clusters, the work is not so
specialized and a single node may perform data processing as well as cluster
management. Cluster services often change over time, particularly as clusters scale
up by adding nodes. Balancing resources to maximize cluster utilization is the goal,
and it will require flexibility.
Real Time Low Latency: Unlike other distributions for Hadoop, the MapR

Rights And Civil Rights
Civil rights are the rights granted from our government to the citizens to make sure
that government treats citizens equally, applies all laws fairly and does not
discriminate against any group based on race, religion, gender and disability. Civil
liberties are individual freedoms that restrict the power of the government in our
lives, they are guaranteed in the Constitution and are described in detail in the Bill of
Rights. A great example of a civil liberty is free speech and the right of expression.
While free speech helps citizens to keep the government in check by being able to
debate and engage in conflicting narratives, it provides a voice to express new
ideas and avoids censorship which would otherwise skew information for the
benefit of majority. While free speech and symbolic free speech is protected, even
in the case of flag burning, the courts have ruled that if free speech causes an
immediate lawless action of violence, it become an infringement of other people s
rights. Sometimes it is difficult to balance conflicting rights between individual or
between individual and the entire country. Who is to prevail? Who has more rights?
In the case of individuals, an example of conflicting rights is a candidate for election
who has the right of privacybut, at the same time, people need to know about his
private affairs to have enough information to make a good determination on casting
their vote. A conflict of rights with society may be the Patriot Act which purpose is
Benefits Of The Uk Retaining An Unwritten Constitution
Constitution is a body of fundamental principles that sets out a framework of
precedent which regulates the functions, powers and duties amongst the organs of the
government. It provides authority to how such organs as the executive, legislative
and judiciary must operate under a constitution law. The fundamental purpose of a
constitutionis being able to establish the roles and powers of different branches of a
state alongside the perspectives and rights of its citizens. The United Kingdomis
considered to have a constitution however, unlike the substantial countries like the
United States of America and Australia, who currently have a sole codified document.
In comparison, to the UK, Israel and New Zealand who are amongst the only three
countries in the world that have a distinctive constitution which does not have a
single codified constitution. This essay will be exploring and evaluating the
advantages of the UK retaining an unwritten constitution, in comparison to the
potentials of the UK drafting a written constitution and its capability of being flexible,
alongside referencing made to John Alder and further academics.
A significant feature of the British constitution, is arguably said to be flexible to a
certain extend, in contrast to a rigid constitution such as the USA. Albert Venn Dicey
defined a flexible constitution as one under which every law of description can
legally be changed with the same ease and in the same manner by one and the same
body.

As time constantly presses forward and the earth continues to revolve, the world will
never stop progressing and adapting to better suit the needs of mankind. The
evolution of religion has greatly enhanced the quality of life for humanity by
providing individuals with a strong belief system that is now the foundation of many
peoples core values. One universal religion that has undergone extensive amounts of
reform is Christianity. In particular, the Catholic churchis well known for the
development of their famous ecumenical council meetings that help determine the
future of the church. Numerous Councils have been conducted throughout the course
of history, but none more significant than the most recent, the Second Vatican Council
or Vatican II. The Catholic church was operating as if it was still the medieval
period and desperately needed to be modernized. As a result, every Roman Catholic
Church official was gathered to meet and devise a plan for how to introduce the
church to the modern world. Consequently, the following will reveal the Second
Vatican Council and the ramifications of the agenda, history and theology evolution,
significant texts, and new developments. January 25th 1959, is a day every catholic
remembers because it was on that day when Pope John XXIII announced that he was

The Role Of Calcium Channels In Prostate Cancer
Cancer, the uncontrolled division of mutated cells producing tumours. Likelihood
of developing the disease is increased by a variety of factors such as age, over
exposure to sunlight, certain chemical exposures, etc. Research has shown that there
is a role of calcium channels in cancer. Calcium channels are essential pathways
needed to allow calcium ions to enter the cells of the human body as they are unable
to penetrate the phospholipid bilayer. Calcium is needed in the body for such things
as nerve impulses and the formation of bones and teeth.
Calcium channels in prostate cancer: calcium channel blockers have been shown to
prevent the cancer from becoming more aggressive it has been shown that increased
permeability of Ca2+ channels causes
Treatment Of Intravenous Drug Use
Abstract
Intravenous drug use is a dangerous, yet increasing activity around the world. Persons
who inject themselves with illicit drugs are at risk for several complications such as
infection caused by contaminated needles. These infections can be serious and often
lead to hospitalization as well as other health related complications. A situation that
often arises is determining the best type of treatment for IV drug users who are being
discharged from the hospital. Physicians and pharmacists are commonly faced with
choosing outpatient IV antibiotic therapy versus oral antibiotics when treating
infections caused by IV drug use. This presents an ethical dilemma, particularly
concerning the ethical principles of beneficence and ... Show more content on

Unfortunately, the trend in intravenous drug use has increased in recent years.
Results from the 2013 National Survey on Drug Use and Health show that of
individuals aged 12 or older in America, current users of cocaine and heroin were
approximately 1.5 million and 289,000 respectively (Substance Abuse and Mental
Health Services Administration, 2014). As the number of intravenous drug users
continues to rise, so does the risk of dangerous and potentially fatal complications
that are associated with illicit drug use. In this population, death rates are higher due
to overdose, AIDs related mortality, and other blood borne viruses (Mathers et al.,
2013). Mortality rates remain high even though precautions have been taken to
reduce them. According to Lavender McCarron (2013), Mortality in injecting drug
users is up to 22 times higher than for the age adjusted population, despite increased
provision of needle and syringe programs, reduced needle and syringe sharing, and
higher uptake of hepatitis B vaccination (p. 511).
In addition to higher rates of mortality, intravenous drug users are at increased risk of
infection. Mertz, et al. (2008) stated, Malnutrition, immunodeficiency, homelessness,
and needle sharing contribute to a high infection rate in these patients (p. 2).
Common infections range from simple cutaneous abscesses and cellulitis to more
serious infections such as

Simple Lab Report Essay
Objectives
There were several different objectives for this lab. It introduced the
thermomechanical properties of thermoplastics, and provide familiarity with dynamic
mechanical analysis (DMA) of thermoplastics. These DMA results were interpreted
using time temperature superposition (TTS) and the master curve as a design tool,
this could be used to determine the linear viscoelastic range and observe the creep
behaviour of high density polyethylene (HDPE). Gaining familiarity with dynamic
properties of HDPE was also intended for this lab.
Experimental Procedure
The material used for testing was HDPE. Two sample types were used, one
quenched in water and another cooled slowly at a rate of 1В°C per minute.
All testing was carried out using DMA with a cantilever setup. Two different tests
were carried out. For the first test, the HDPE was held at a constant temperature of
31В°C and varying stresses were applied for two seconds at a time, during which the
strain in the sample was recorded.
For the second test, a constant stress of 5MPa was applied while the temperature was
increased inside the furnace of the DMA setup. This was achieved by heating the
sample to one temperature for 10 minutes and holding at that temperature while the
constant stress was applied, then heating again and holding, and so on. Strain was
again recorded at constant time intervals for each temperature.

A Study Of Rauschenberg s Erased De Kooning Drawing
A Study of Rauschenberg s Erased de Kooning Drawing
In 1953, Robert Rauschenberg had the idea of adding drawing to his All White
Series. However, drawing on these paintings, or anywhere, would defeat the
purpose of this series, and so he came to the conclusion that the only way he could
achieve this would be through erasure. He began experimenting with his own
drawings, but still being a young artist it he didn t think it would be considered art.
For his idea to work, he thought, it had to be art that he erased. Having admiration
and respect for artist Willem de Kooning, Rauschenberg decided to buy a bottle of
Jack Daniels, and go to his house. Rauschenberg explained to de Kooning his idea,
and asked if he could use a drawing of his. Reluctant, de Kooning agreed, only
because he understood the idea. After looking through his portfolios, de Kooning
handed Rauschenberg a drawing that he would miss, and that was almost
impossible to erase. A month later, Rauschenberg successfully erased de Kooning s
drawing, and with the help of Jasper Johns, titled the piece in ink, and framed it.
Robert Rauschenberg s Erased de Kooning Drawing can be seen as either a
minimalist piece or conceptual piece. Through a clearer understanding of both
movements, the aim of this essay is to show how this piece could be seen as a
minimal piece or a conceptual piece, and to see which movement it leans more
towards.
Minimalism has been described as the last of modernist styles and thus a
Stereotypes In If That Ain T Country
What do you think of when you think of an old country song? Is it singing about
plowing the fields, find a young lassie to dance with in the bar, getting drunk with
the boys and so on. If That Ain t Country by David Allan Coe tries to shine a new
light on what country is and that is white trash hicks, which he suggests are
forgotten people in the world. We listen to this song and will giggle at some of the
lyrics or are startled by how some parts are pretty racist, but it has a very true side
of it that shows that country folk aren t all classy, church going folk. The
beginning of this song is an essentially a summary of what his life was like
growing up in Texas. It almost seems like he tries to hit every stereotype possible
such as The old man was covered with tattoos and scars/ He got some in prisons
and others in bars suggesting that his father was a mean drunk and also ex
convict. The next stereotype is They looked liked tombstones in our yard
suggesting the old, rusting cars in the their yard that Dad would fix up and the
stereotype of white trash people leaving crap in there yard is in play here. In all of
these stereotypes he does suggest that his Dad worked hard to make ends meet. This
shows that they weren t just a lazy family, at least.... Show more content on

The City Of Quezon City
The history of Quezon City is teeming with hardship. It was originally designed and
created as a utopian planned city to function as the capital of the Philippines,
replacing Manila. Due to several unforeseen circumstances, including World War II
and the death of the original designer, the plans were put on hold. Because of the
problems that Quezon Cityoriginally faced, it was never fully implemented and never
lived up to its expectation as the capital, but continues to flourish as a cultural,
economic, and educational hub in the Philippines.

However, after the War, the Filipino planning authority decided to move the
University of the Philippines to the east of the circle. The university campus still
has significant green space, parks, and sports fields. To the north of the circle is the

often occupied by illegal settlements1. The largest manmade park in the region lies
to the east, just outside of the original design for Quezon City. In addition, just to the
north of the city is an undeveloped forest and lake, La Mesa Watershed and Eco

In 1906, the US Congress commissioned Daniel Burnham to design the new city plan
for Manila, which would have been the first contemporary design for a city in the

the City Beautiful Movement in the West, with neoclassical architecture. Burnham
himself wrote about the chance to create a Eurocentric utopia in the East, yet still

Wayne s World Film Analysis
The movie poster for Wayne s World certainly gives the impression of a cheaply

World is quite the change of pace in terms of her previous work on the documentary
The Decline of WesternCivilization. However, this filmsurprisingly delivers in its

and in some cases underlying intellectual commentary about pop culture.
The film was based off of the Saturday Night Live skit that parodied a local public

fairly clever, considering everyone who plays guitar ultimately starts with that simple
riff that drives their parents insane. However, upon further investigation there is
more depth to this rather simple commentary. As it turns out, the filmmakers were
not actually given the rights to Stairway to Heaven which played into this idea that
not even Led Zeppelin wants you to play their popular song, which made me laugh
a little harder (Wood, 2015). Of course there are more pop culture references
including ironic ad reads for Pizza Hut, Doritos, and Pepsi, all done in a manner that
only Wayne and Garth could think
Descriptive Essay On The Osprey
The Osprey
As I walked on a sandy path, I took a moment to admire the scenery. The mountains
and their snow capped tips looked so mighty and big, that I felt small and
inconspicuous. The pine trees swayed back and forth, and pronghorn pranced on
the brilliant green grass. Everything seemed so beautiful. Bison wallowed across
the cold rocks as the geysers spouted hot water. It was an animal s paradise.I tried to
imagine the whole world being this peaceful and spectacular. The misty morning air
tickled my face as I started to strut down the path again.
I was in Yellowstone National Parkand that morning my family had woken up very
early. I kept my eyes wide open just in case I could spot some wildlife out of the
corner of my eye. Everything was gorgeous, but now that our trip was coming to an
end, I had seen almost everything, and quite frankly, I was getting a little bored.
When I had arrived though everything was new and mysterious. It felt like a
different world. There were animals I had never seen before and things that would
never have happened in California. I had to see everything.
When I did though, I started to tap my feet and twiddle my thumbs. The same old
misty air, big mountains and bisons, was just not interesting more. Except I had not
seen an osprey yet. It was like a lightbulb went off in my head, a spark of
imagination. Thinking about the past gave me ideas for the future. If I just had the
chance to see the bird, it would make our trip that much
Explain The Key Issues In Law Enforcement
There are many key issues that have to be considered by law enforcement agencies
when building relationships with the communities they serve. First and for most they
have to adequately and fairly address complaints made by members of the
community. The police have to provide the same service to minority communities as
they would provide a predominately white community. The effect of providing good
service could mean that the community will slowly build their trust with police
officers. In the long run this will reduce tensions and build trust between the two
groups. By building trust the policeknow they can count on the community when it
comes to crime prevention. Reducing the publics fear of crime translates to increased

Main Causes Of Ww2 Essay
Causes of WW2
The main causes of world war 2 were alliances, politics and money. After world war
1, the german empire was very low on supplies and the great depression came. During
the great depression, the people though that a democratic country wouldn t work, and
they thought that they needed a more powerful leader. They choose Adolf Hitleras
their leader, which caused the democratic government, to lose power. When Hitler
came into power, he blamed the jews for everything that the germans hated, including
the Treaty of Versailles . People somehow always believed in Hitler, and thought that
they should follow him. In the end, he started forming alliances with Italy and empire

African American Males and the World
The world has come a very long way since segregation was demolished with the
help of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This has opened a lot of doors for African
Americans in the United States. Better job opportunities and better chances at
managing a stable family life. Sadly as time has passed and we have rolled into the
21st century things aren t looking so great for the African males in school. This rate
changes from time to time, yet we don t know why or what it really is. So, what is
the average graduation rate for African Americanmales and why? Statistics, the one
source of information that almost everyone turns to in order to determine how often
something happens. With statistics we can see just what are the chances of a African
male graduating against compared to others. Apparently, 54% of most Africans males
actually graduate from high school, that s not bad. The other 46% show little to no
effort then or drop out, which explains why their scores would be below
counterparts in other racial and ethnic groups in the school. Let us not forget though,

Horseman Crossing A Ford Analysis
Throughout the world, there are many different types of art pieces which can be
compared to each other for their form, technique, style, purpose, or theme. Though
some of these pieces might have never influnced each other, it can sill be apparent
that they have similar themes that are present. In the Moroccan Horseman
Crossing a Ford and Night Attack on the Sanjo Palace, it can be seen that the two
have a similar theme for the coming of, or result of war. The Moroccan Horseman
Crossing a Ford was created in 1850 by Eugene Delacroix by oil on canvas. It is 18
1/8 x15in European piece had no patron because Delacroix had an interest in the
horsemen that he studied in various kinds of paintings, watercolors, and sketches
when he went to Morocco in 1832. The piece illustrates a heroric and dramatically lit
Moroccan horseman who has just crossed over the riverbank towards a military
encampment. Behind him, is a lone horseman that is going in the same dirrection as
he is. Because of this, the two horsemen echo each other by their distance, placement,
and for the simple fact that they... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both pieces illustrate the idea of war (Moroccan Horseman at the encampment, in
preparations for it while the Night Attack it is in it and it also shows a bit
afterwards) and the focus of an individual (for Night Attack, it is the horseman at
the end of the scroll). Though it is apparent that in Night Attack there are a larger
amount of people present throughout the scroll, it is still present that the horseman
at the end is an important forcus since he is distanced from the rest of the scene
that had taken place. In the Moroccan Horseman however, it is very much apparent
that he is the main focus because he has been isolated in a sense to be presented
heroically. Both pieces present a figure with heroric quality by their stance and
weapons as well as they are made a focus since they are both distant and are on a
Fertile Crescent Research Paper
The Fertile Crescent curves from the Persian Gulf to the eastern coast of the
Mediterranean Sea. Within the Fertile Crescent lies a region that the ancient Greeks
later named it Mesopotamia, which means between the rivers. Mesopotamia is the
area of land between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, which flow from the highlands
of Turkey through Iraqand form the Shat al Arab River before it flows into the
Persian Gulf. Around 3300 B.C., the world s first civilization developed in
southeastern Mesopotamia, in a region called Sumer.
Organizing for Floods and Irrigation Control of the Tigris and Euphrates was key to
developments in Mesopotamia. The rivers frequently rose in terrifying floods that

Obesity And Oxidative Stress
The study of oxidative stress and obesity has stimulated several attempts in recent
times to define the contribution of the individual components of the metabolic
syndrome to oxidative stress as it is in metabolic syndrome patients. Although there
have been recent attempts to do so, studies have revealed the role of obesity as a
critical and core component in the development of metabolic syndrome. Essentially,
obesity plays an integral role in amplifying oxidative stress. It has been proven that
patients who are obese show oxidative stress induced decreased vasodilatory
response to acetylcholine. This response inversely relates to body mass index, waste
to hip ratio, fasting insulin and insulin resistance [70]. This situation remains to be
Review Of The Wrath Of Jupiter
The Wrath Of Jupiter
It started out, a normal day. I was going to the fields, like usual. My wife, Fabiana,
wanted to say good bye. Unlike most Roman marriages, we truly loved each other.
Every day I left for work she would be right there saying good bye. So far she hasn t
missed a single day. I see you are already heading out , she said. Well I want to earn
some extra money this BC , I replied. I know , she said a little upset, but I know
that you re just trying to help this family. The baby is on the way and you re right
on one thing, we need extra money. I knew she d understand. I sometimes thought
that me and Fabiana were a little peculiar because of the things we did. We were the
only ones that married for love ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was about half way through the day and we had already gotten half of the fields. I
still had half the day to go but when I d get home I d get one of the best meals I d
ever have when I ever I d get home. I started to notice that it was getting darker. I
looked up and I saw that the sky was 1 spontaneously darker and filled with clouds.
That s when somebody yelled at the top of their lungs, JUPITER IS ABOUT TO
STRIKE!!!!!!!!!!!! IT LOOKS LIKE IT S GOING TO HIT THE SPRING!!!
EVERYBODY RUUUUUUUN!!!!!!! That s when chaos broke loose. Everybody
was running to their homes, so they could get to cover, especially in the fields. But
I wasn t worried about getting to cover, I was worried about Fabiana. She was at
the spring and if she didn t get to cover, I don t know what I ll do. I was running to
the spring as fast as I could. I started to think that if I lost her, I wouldn t only lose
her, I d loose my new baby too. I wasn t going to lose her. I wasn t going to lose
everything. I had ran for a while until I finally saw the spring. There she was,
standing there. I yelled her name a couple of times until I caught her attention. She
started running towards me and I ran to her. We were so far away from each other,
but I just knew that we would make...BOOOOOOOM!!!!! The ground shook as I
flew to the ground. I woke up
Hair Can Act As A Symbol Of Self And Group Identity
Hairstyles often act as ways to identify cultures since they are both public (visible
to others) and personal (linked to the body biologically, personally molded to suit
cultural and personal preferences) women s hairstyles can be central to their
social positions (Synnott 1987). Hair can act as both a symbol of self and group
identity as well as a form of self expression and communication. I was recently
listening to India Arie s I Am Not My Hair and it reminded me of several occasions
where those around me in addition to my self have had our self confidence shaken
due to the importance that our society puts on a woman s hair. In Arie s song she
points out in her lyrics that in today s world Good hair means curls and waves and
that Bad hair means [that] you look like a slave. The concept of conventional
attractiveness, looking like the ideal partner, can lend itself to forms of power that
women face internally and externally. Women that are conventionally attractive are
typically not as lonely, very popular, experience higher rates of marriage, have
more experience sexually, are more likely to marry men of a higher socioeconomic
status and are more likely to be hired, promoted and paid a higher salary than non
attractive women (Jackson 1992, Sullivan 2001, Weitz 2010). During the Summer
of 2005 I visited my father and his new fiancГ©e for the first time. That Summer I
had just turned 10 years old and my hair rested a little past the top of my shoulder

Round Trampoline Research Paper
Meta Description:
Trampoline is an equipment made of strong, stretched cloth over a solid frame made
of steel or iron using some coiled springs to connect. People jump on trampolines for
fun and sometimes even as a competitive game. A question quite often in mind that
arises is Which one should someone get a rectangular or a round trampoline?
Introduction
While trampolining is widely known to be a recreational activity there are other
benefits of this activity. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) in a study found
that jumping on a trampoline was more useful exercise than biking, running and also
Frisbee. People rated this to be an easier workout although it has the benefits of a
vigorous workout. This is because of the fact that when ... Show more content on

But according to research, more than 80% of the accidents happen because of the
absence of an enclosure. This enclosure is a mesh screen, fixed around the
trampoline which prevents the user getting too close to the edge. Also, checking the
trampoline mat for any cuts and if trampoline springs are firmly attached to the mat
always helps to be safe.
Weight Limit:
Maximum weight supported by a round trampoline is 400 pounds, whereas for
rectangular trampoline it is 450 pounds. Round trampoline supports only one jumper
at a time.
Cost Factor:
Round trampolines are cheaper and readily available in the market.
Bounce experience and Altitude of Jump:
Bounce experience and height are higher for rectangular trampoline due to more
space for takeoff.
Conclusion:
Rectangular trampoline is more suitable for training purposes while round one is
most appropriate for refreshment activities. Round trampoline is affordable and more
efficient when safety factor is considered. If you want a bigger bounce, a rectangular
trampoline is more suitable, but it should be kept in mind that it comes with an
expense of higher

Essay For English Language

  • 1. Essay For English Language Crafting an essay on the subject of "Essay for English Language" can be a daunting task, as it involves a paradoxical challenge of both being meta and informative. It requires delving into the intricacies of the English language while simultaneously employing the language itself effectively. The difficulty lies in striking the right balance between theoretical discussions on language principles and the practical application of those principles in the essay. To begin with, defining the scope of the essay can be a complex endeavor. The English language is vast and dynamic, with its grammar, syntax, semantics, and rich history. Deciding what aspects to focus on becomes a crucial decision, and it requires a deep understanding of the subject matter. Furthermore, incorporating relevant examples and references to support the arguments adds an extra layer of complexity. The challenge extends to the need for clarity and coherence. Balancing a sophisticated and nuanced discussion on the English language with the requirement for accessibility and readability can be intricate. It demands not only a profound knowledge of linguistic nuances but also a skillful application of rhetorical devices to engage the reader effectively. The essay's structure is another potential stumbling block. Striking the right balance between introduction, body, and conclusion while maintaining a logical flow of ideas is a meticulous task. Each paragraph needs to contribute to the overarching theme while ensuring smooth transitions between thoughts. Additionally, avoiding clichГ©s and presenting original insights on a topic that has been explored extensively poses a significant challenge. It requires a creative approach to weave together a narrative that is both enlightening and refreshing for the reader. In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Essay for English Language" demands a high level of proficiency in both the subject matter and the language itself. It necessitates a delicate balance between theoretical depth and practical application, clarity, and complexity. While the process may be arduous, the reward lies in creating a piece that not only encapsulates the essence of the English language but also showcases the writer's mastery over the craft of essay writing. The shop, known for its over fifty tea flavors, has recently become a common site for college students to study and eat between classes. Constructed to represent a tropical, relaxed theme, the employees of Tama Tea attempt to create an aesthetic and ambient atmosphere in order to market their brand towards young adults. The tea shop is identifiable by its rustic, brick exterior, with Tama Tea etched in large white letters above the doors. Outside the door sits a sign enticing customers to enter the shop and try the coffees because the we [the employees] love you a lotte . Glancing inside the large windows, people can always be seen either studying or conversing with their friends as they sip tea and coffee. Upon entering, I was faced with a large display table with candles and tea cups. To my right was a teal wall with six shelves containing an assortment of teas which sat below words used to categorize the tea such as premium and fruity. By the tea shelves there was also a table with a window seat, facing Franklin St. The left wall was the same rustic brick that decorated the exterior of the shop, and the only... Mendel worked in the lab on pea plants. Therefore, in Figure 1A it shows how from working with the pea plants he concluded that genes come in pairs and are inherited as distinct units with one inherited from each parent. He also tracked the segregation of parental genes and their appearance in the offspring as dominant and recessive. This was a major breakthrough in genetics. Two scientists, Gantz and Bier, worked in a lab with fruit flies. They expected their results to show only one out of four newborn flies to have shown effects of the mutation their mothers carried an X linked recessive
  • 4. The Effect Of Eating On Eating And Exercise ( Qol Ed ) Abstract Aim: We compared the quality of life related to eating and exercise (QOL ED) in women seeking fertility treatment with and without PCOS controlling for age and BMI Body Mass Index (BMI). Method: Twenty one women with and 132 women without PCOS attending IVF clinics completed a questionnaire containing the QOL ED global score consisting of five eating disorder subscores. Results: Women with PCOS had a poorer QOL ED and were almost three times more likely to obtain a score suggestive of the presence of an eating disorder (47.6%) than women without PCOS (16.7%, p 0.005). Women with PCOS had poorer QOL ED global scores (p 0.005), generally poorer eating disorder subscores, and increased anxiety and preoccupation with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Women with PCOS are at increased risk of metabolic problems (impaired insulin resistance, impaired glucose tolerance, type 2 diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease),3 reproductive abnormalities (infertility, hyperandrogenism and hirsutism)4 and psychiatric illness (anxiety, depression and poorer quality of life)5,6. It is postulated that decreased fertility in women with PCOS results from ovarian hyperandrogenism, hyperinsulinemia secondary to insulin resistance and altered intraovarian paracrine signalling, which disrupt the growth of ovarian follicles. Arrested follicular development results in menstrual irregularity, polycystic ovaries, further hyperinsulinaemia and excess androgen production2,7. Anovulation is the predominant cause of infertility in PCOS8, with fewer women experiencing impaired oocyte development resulting in miscarriages9. The optimal treatment for infertile women with PCOS is not well established. In 2011 a team of specialists developed evidence based guidelines for the assessment and management of PCOS based on current literature10. The guidelines suggest preconceptional counselling, lifestyle modifications including weight reduction and exercise, cessation of smoking, and a reduction in alcohol consumption10. After these modifications, ovulation induction with anti estrogen clomiphenes citrate, metformin or a combination of both may be trialled10. Approximately 50

Adam was talking about landing something on Mars. It is the result of reasoned engineering thought. But it still looks crazy. Adam and some of the people he works with made a video called Seven Minutes of Terror about a Mars landing. In the video, they introduced people around the world to one of the most daring and creative achievements of engineering ever completed. That achievement was the pinpoint landing of Curiosity on Mars. Curiosity is a machine called a rover, and it was built to explore the surface of Mars. The seven minutes described in Adam s video refer to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Instead, engineers came up with a maneuver that would allow the craft carrying Curiosity to turn quickly. Then, rockets would turn on and allow Curiosity to make a vertical landing. Switching from a parachute to a controlled rocket descent could have gone wrong at any time. Still, even getting the descent right was not enough to succeed. Once the parachute was cut free, the force from the rockets could raise so much dust that the dust itself could damage the rover. Always thinking ahead, the engineers came up with a solution. They created a device to complete the last step of the landing. The device was called a sky crane. When the sky crane was close to Mars s surface, it used a set of cables to lower Curiosity onto the ground. At last Curiosity landed, going from 13,000 miles per hour to zero in just seven minutes. The capsule that had been carrying Curiosity still had all its rockets firing. It blasted back into the sky and landed somewhere else on the planet. The landing was a success. The Ongoing Mission NASA says that the MSL mission is part of a long term plan. This plan uses robots to explore Mars. The most popular question is whether there ever was life on Mars. Walker does an excellent job illustrating her characters. There are all types of characters in this short story from round to static. Dee is a flat character, yet Walker uses Dee s character to warn people of what might happen if they do not live properly. Walker describes Dee s character as arrogant and selfish, and through Dee s character one is allowed to perceive the wicked effect of an egotistical world. This cultural trend becomes evident when the mother says, I had offered Dee a quilt when she went away to college. Then she had told me they were old fashioned, out of style (Walker 96). We learned early in the story that Dee acquired a style at a young age, and she allowed the world around her to alter and manipulate that style. Dee believes she is more cultured than her family. She may have more knowledge about different cultures and religions that she learned in school, but she does not know as much about the family heritage as she thinks she does. For example, when Dee changes her name to Wangero Leewanika Kemanjo she destroys important links to her heritage that she will never understand. Her mother tries to explain to her that her name is significant because it belonged to particular beloved ones. However, Dee seems to reject the names of her ancestors, yet she is eager to seize their handmade goods. When Dee realizes she is not going obtain possession of the quilts, she storms out of the house without saying a word. It is apparent that the only reason for her visit is to get the family heirlooms, not to see the house, her mother, or Maggie. Maggie is illustrated as Dee s foil. Dee is everything that Maggie cannot be externally. Maggie is implemented into the story to provide a greater emphasis on

The personal life episode of receiving a spanking that comes to mind is when I was about six years old. It was a Saturday evening and my mom, brother, sister, and I were coming home from spending the day at my grandmother s house. My mother stopped in Florence, SC at the Burger Kingto get all of us something to eat on the way home. I remember my mother asking each of us what we wanted to eat. I remember my brother and sister saying that they wanted a cheeseburger and fries, while my response was I want a hamburgerwith cheese. My mother went to the drive thru and placed the order of four cheeseburger and four fries. I remember yelling at the top of my lungs that I do not eat cheeseburgers; I only eat hamburger with cheese. My mother told me to stop yelling and tried to explain to me that a cheeseburger was the same thing as a hamburger with cheese. I proceeded to yell some more and telling her that I was not going to eat the cheeseburger, because that was not what I wanted and that she should of order what I wanted. When my mother gave me my food I took it and throw the burger down on the floorboard of the car and told her to order me what I wanted and that she could eat this cheeseburger because I was not eating it. My mother told me to pick up the burger and that I was going to eat it and that if I did not stop acting the way I was then I was going to get a spanking.

These were Britain, France, Russia, Germany, Austria Hungary and Italy. The murder of Archduke Franz Ferdinand was what triggered off the war but I am here to discuss how there was a lot more to it than the murder of just one man. Germany did not cause the war alone, as will soon come clear. Germany felt encircled, as there was a strong friendship between Russia to the east of Germany and France to the west. Germany felt it was their attempt to surround and threaten them and as Germany was already jealous of the huge build up of arms in Russia, there was an immediate rivalry between them. Germany had ... Germany had always admired the way Britain ran their empire and had always wanted a navy like them so when Britain raised the stakes by launching the HMS Dreadnought, Germany responded by building their own. From 1906 1914 the two countries raced to build as many dreadnoughts as they could and in 1909 Germany came very close to beating them. By 1914 however, Britain had 29 and Germany had 17 Dreadnoughts. Britain had every right to be suspicious of Germany, as they had no need for a navy. Germany was jealous and envious of Britain and wanted to be more like them so that s the more the reason why they would want a navy. However, I believe Britain was being unreasonable as they had no right to tell Germany they could not build one as it was within their right, which was what Britain did. Germany also had wishes for a big empire in Africa and as Britain and France both controlled some parts of Africa they both felt threatened. For France, this was not the first time as in 1871 Germany stole Alsace and Lorraine from France. They did not want this happening again. France wanted to seek revenge. • 24. Rights And Civil Rights Civil rights are the rights granted from our government to the citizens to make sure that government treats citizens equally, applies all laws fairly and does not discriminate against any group based on race, religion, gender and disability. Civil liberties are individual freedoms that restrict the power of the government in our lives, they are guaranteed in the Constitution and are described in detail in the Bill of Rights. A great example of a civil liberty is free speech and the right of expression. While free speech helps citizens to keep the government in check by being able to debate and engage in conflicting narratives, it provides a voice to express new ideas and avoids censorship which would otherwise skew information for the benefit of majority. While free speech and symbolic free speech is protected, even in the case of flag burning, the courts have ruled that if free speech causes an immediate lawless action of violence, it become an infringement of other people s rights. Sometimes it is difficult to balance conflicting rights between individual or between individual and the entire country. Who is to prevail? Who has more rights? In the case of individuals, an example of conflicting rights is a candidate for election who has the right of privacybut, at the same time, people need to know about his private affairs to have enough information to make a good determination on casting their vote. A conflict of rights with society may be the Patriot Act which purpose is

The fundamental purpose of a constitutionis being able to establish the roles and powers of different branches of a state alongside the perspectives and rights of its citizens. In comparison, to the UK, Israel and New Zealand who are amongst the only three countries in the world that have a distinctive constitution which does not have a single codified constitution. This essay will be exploring and evaluating the advantages of the UK retaining an unwritten constitution, in comparison to the potentials of the UK drafting a written constitution and its capability of being flexible, alongside referencing made to John Alder and further academics. A significant feature of the British constitution, is arguably said to be flexible to a certain extend, in contrast to a rigid constitution such as the USA. Albert Venn Dicey defined a flexible constitution as one under which every law of description can legally be changed with the same ease and in the same manner by one and the same body.

The evolution of religion has greatly enhanced the quality of life for humanity by providing individuals with a strong belief system that is now the foundation of many peoples core values. One universal religion that has undergone extensive amounts of reform is Christianity. In particular, the Catholic churchis well known for the development of their famous ecumenical council meetings that help determine the future of the church. Numerous Councils have been conducted throughout the course of history, but none more significant than the most recent, the Second Vatican Council or Vatican II. The Catholic church was operating as if it was still the medieval period and desperately needed to be modernized. As a result, every Roman Catholic Church official was gathered to meet and devise a plan for how to introduce the church to the modern world. Consequently, the following will reveal the Second Vatican Council and the ramifications of the agenda, history and theology evolution, significant texts, and new developments. Persons who inject themselves with illicit drugs are at risk for several complications such as infection caused by contaminated needles. These infections can be serious and often lead to hospitalization as well as other health related complications. A situation that often arises is determining the best type of treatment for IV drug users who are being discharged from the hospital. Unfortunately, the trend in intravenous drug use has increased in recent years. Results from the 2013 National Survey on Drug Use and Health show that of individuals aged 12 or older in America, current users of cocaine and heroin were approximately 1.5 million and 289,000 respectively (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, 2014). As the number of intravenous drug users continues to rise, so does the risk of dangerous and potentially fatal complications that are associated with illicit drug use. In this population, death rates are higher due to overdose, AIDs related mortality, and other blood borne viruses (Mathers et al., 2013). Mortality rates remain high even though precautions have been taken to reduce them. According to Lavender McCarron (2013), Mortality in injecting drug users is up to 22 times higher than for the age adjusted population, despite increased provision of needle and syringe programs, reduced needle and syringe sharing, and higher uptake of hepatitis B vaccination (p. 511). In addition to higher rates of mortality, intravenous drug users are at increased risk of infection. Mertz, et al. (2008) stated, Malnutrition, immunodeficiency, homelessness, and needle sharing contribute to a high infection rate in these patients (p. 2). Common infections range from simple cutaneous abscesses and cellulitis to more serious infections such as

It introduced the thermomechanical properties of thermoplastics, and provide familiarity with dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) of thermoplastics. These DMA results were interpreted using time temperature superposition (TTS) and the master curve as a design tool, this could be used to determine the linear viscoelastic range and observe the creep behaviour of high density polyethylene (HDPE). Gaining familiarity with dynamic properties of HDPE was also intended for this lab. Experimental Procedure The material used for testing was HDPE. Two sample types were used, one quenched in water and another cooled slowly at a rate of 1В°C per minute. All testing was carried out using DMA with a cantilever setup. Two different tests were carried out. For the first test, the HDPE was held at a constant temperature of 31В°C and varying stresses were applied for two seconds at a time, during which the strain in the sample was recorded. For the second test, a constant stress of 5MPa was applied while the temperature was increased inside the furnace of the DMA setup. This was achieved by heating the sample to one temperature for 10 minutes and holding at that temperature while the constant stress was applied, then heating again and holding, and so on. Strain was again recorded at constant time intervals for each temperature. Results Figure 1 below is an isochronal graph showing the results of creep testing the sample of HDPE

However, drawing on these paintings, or anywhere, would defeat the purpose of this series, and so he came to the conclusion that the only way he could achieve this would be through erasure. He began experimenting with his own drawings, but still being a young artist it he didn t think it would be considered art. For his idea to work, he thought, it had to be art that he erased. Having admiration and respect for artist Willem de Kooning, Rauschenberg decided to buy a bottle of Jack Daniels, and go to his house. Rauschenberg explained to de Kooning his idea, and asked if he could use a drawing of his. Reluctant, de Kooning agreed, only because he understood the idea. After looking through his portfolios, de Kooning handed Rauschenberg a drawing that he would miss, and that was almost impossible to erase. A month later, Rauschenberg successfully erased de Kooning s drawing, and with the help of Jasper Johns, titled the piece in ink, and framed it. Robert Rauschenberg s Erased de Kooning Drawing can be seen as either a minimalist piece or conceptual piece. Through a clearer understanding of both movements, the aim of this essay is to show how this piece could be seen as a minimal piece or a conceptual piece, and to see which movement it leans more towards. Hair can act as both a symbol of self and group identity as well as a form of self expression and communication.
