This document summarizes research on the erosion behavior of stainless steel when exposed to solid particle erosion. Testing was conducted on stainless steel samples at different impact angles (30, 60, 90 degrees), pressures (4-6 kgf/mm2), and standoff distances (100-200mm) between the nozzle and sample. The results showed that erosion rate increased with decreasing impact angle and increasing pressure, with the highest erosion occurring at 30 degrees and highest pressure. Microscopic analysis of eroded surfaces found evidence of plastic deformation and abrasion damage. The research contributes to understanding the erosion resistance of ductile metals under various testing parameters.

Wear is nothing but loss of material by usage. In a mechanical industry mechanical components will operate
under severe load, temperature and high speeds. Under such a type of situation, when metal to metal contact take
place the surfaces that comes in contact is subjected to wear. These should be considered as a serious affair in an
industry because if the process of wear continues it can reduce service life of the component and also to the

Probabilistic approach to study the hydroformed sheetIJERA Editor
Under the leadership of the Kyoto agreements on reducing emissions of greenhouse gases, the automotive sector was forced to review its methods and production technologies in order to meet the new environmental standards. In fuel consumption reduction is an immediate way to reduce the emission of polluting gases. In this paper, the study of the formability of sheet submitted to the hydroforming process is proposed. The numerical results are given to validate the proposed approach. To show the influence of uncertainties in the study process, we take some characteristics of the material as random and the probabilistic approach is done. The finding results are showing the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

In the present study, coatings were deposited on CrC-NiCrFeSiBCoC(80%-20% )a
Fe based SS316 steel substrate to reduce the damage caused by erosion boiler
applications. Erosion studies were conducted on uncoated as well as HVOF coated steels.
The erosion experiments were carried out using an air-jet erosion test rig according to
ASTM G-76 standard at a velocity of 30 m/s and at different impingement angles of 30°,
60° and 90°. The HVOF spraying leads to a high retention of CrC in the coating matrix
accompanied with lower porosity The high velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) sprayed CrCNiCrFeSiBCoC(
80%-20% )coatings on 316SS boiler tube steal exhibit composite ductile
or brittle modes of erosion under angular alumina sand erodent of size 50 impacted
at 30m/s. The HVOF spraying leads to a high retention of CrC in the coating matrix
accompanied with lower porosity.
The influence of silicon carbide SiC abrasive particles of 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 size on carburized digger tooth steel was studied. Four types of steel, with different hardness, were tested at two constant linear sliding speeds and under various loads of 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50N. Tests were carried out for sliding time of 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5min. Experimental results showed that there was consistent reduction in abrasive wear as the hardness of the materials was increased. It was found that wear increased with the increase of applied load, linear sliding speed and sliding time. Also, it was noticed that the wear increased with increase in abrasive particle size, and the most effective size was 40 . SEM observations of the worm surface showed that the cutting and ploughing were the dominant abrasive wear mechanisms.

Study on the effects of ceramic particulates (sic, al2 o3 and cenosphere) on ...eSAT Journals
Abstract This paper investigates the sliding wear behaviour of three different composites. Three different reinforcements are under taken for this study namely SiC, Al2O3 and Cenosphere. Along with it percentage reinforcement is also varied from 8wt% to 16wt.%. Other factors applied normal load and sliding speed are also considered. Taguchi design of experimental technique is employed for the study of sliding wear. It is observed that SiC reinforced composites show better wear resistance than Al2O3 and Cenosphere reinforced composites. Regression and artificial neural network (ANN) is used to develop a model to predict the wear loss. It is observed that artificial neural network is more efficient than regression. Keywords: A. Orientation Effects of Stress Concentrators on the Material Deformation Beha...IJMER
Present investigation pertains to carry out to experimental work to generate data in order to
establish the mode of material deformation and fracture in AISI 316 stainless steel strips of 1.70mm thickness in
the presence of elliptical notches at the center of the specimen whose major axis were designed to incline to the
tensile axis at an angle of 0o
, 45o
and 90o
and the same happens to be the axis of rolling. An elliptical hole of
8.00mm (major axis) with 5.0mm (minor axis) were machined in each specimen so as to correspond to the above
angles of 0o
45o
and90o
and one specimen without any elliptical hole as a notch for comparative analysis of the experimental data. These flat specimens with and without stress concentrators were tested under tension using Hounsfield Tcnsomctcr and the changes in notch geometry have been recorded at various loadings. Further, the visual appearance of the cracks initiation have been continuously observed and recorded. The effect of stress ratio factors and the strain ratio parameters on the mode of fracture on material deformation in and around the stress concentrator has been thoroughly analyzed and it has been established that the crack initiation began either at the inner tips of the minor or the major axis of the elliptical stress concentrator, but, always perpendicular to the direction of loading irrespective of the rolling direction and the orientations of the stress concentrators. However, the changes in the rotation of the major and the minor axis of the elliptical stress concentrators were found to alter, and, this alteration in fact assisted in estimating the strains along the major as well as the minor axis of the stress concentrators. Relation between a plastic strain ratio with respect to the ratio between the major and the minor strains was observed to be of extremely complex nature. The overall observation in the present investigation has indicated that thin strips or sheet specimens containing a single or multiple or a combined type of stress concentrators will create a keen interest in the research approach of the investigators and make them aware of the seriousness of the presence of the stress concentrators and caution them to incorporate any possible design notifications in order to avoid any catastrophic failure (s).

Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.
