Application of BERO™ Biosurfactant in Oklahoma and Its Effect
In November 2007, the Company applied BERO™ biosurfactant in 21 oil wells
of an energy company located in Will County and Cotton County, Oklahoma to
remove plugging and stimulate production. Oil wells were completed in the
shallow formations of Austin Chalk City/Pecan Gap City. The lithology of oil
reservoir is characterized by chalk. Southern Texas high sulphur crude oil is
produced from the oil wells and its API gravity reaches 35-42 degrees. It
contains acid and its edge is sweet. It contains H2S and water contained is the
water of the same formation.
The analysis result shows that the main reason for production reduction is the
plugging of the near-wellbore zone caused by organic matters such as wax
and asphalt contained in crude oil. Full plugging removal is conducted
according to the production need and the requirements of geological solution
of these 21 oil wells. The injection of BERO™ biosurfactant as the plugging
removal agent can lower water cut, stabilize oil and control water cut and
stimulate the production of crude oil.

2007, BERO™ biosurfactant was mixed with formation water and injected in
Well Kentrick 9 to remove plugging and stimulate production and the
temperature of the injection fluid was above 122℉. During construction,
pressure rose from 0 psi to 1450 psi.
After shut-in for 5 days, Well Kentrick 9 resumed production and then its
production greatly increased. Its daily oil production increased from 5.9 BOPD
to 22.2 BOPD and waterproduction decreased from 36.5 BWPD to 25.2
BWPD.

production greatly increased. Its daily oil production increased from 5.7 BOPD
to 21.9 BOPD and waterproduction decreased from 13.1 BWPD to 14.1
BWPD.
In June 2008, we applied BERO™ treatment for an oil well located at Wood
County, Oklahoma State.The oilfield, comprising 24 production wells, has a
geological reserve of 1.55 million tons and initial water cut of 92.2%.
