Editor's Notes

  • #4 Our VP of HR set up a separate website in anticipation for growth. As more positions began opening up and we began expanding, the recruiting team needed to attract talent and manage communication with that talent. Here’s a look at our Employer Brand. Our candidates/employees recognize these colors, this phrase.
  • #6 Last year: LI was 92; Facebook was 26 and Twitter was 15.Recruiters are getting more savvy in the ways of sourcing within social media
  • #7 Recruiters use the Top Three for similar and also for different tactics. Posting jobs, finding candidates. Contacting candidates: LI/Twitter, not Facebook
  • #8 78% have hired through a social network. Of those, 92 said LI, 24 said FB, 14 said Twitter.
  • #9 42% have reconsidered a candidate based on content viewed in a social media profile.
  • #10 42% have reconsidered a candidate based on content viewed in a social media profile. More recruiters react negatively to profanity and grammar/punctuation errors than references to alcohol use.
  • #12 Monitor Your Social Media PresenceGoogle Yourself What information is available for employers to find out about you online?Site likes Brand Yourself & Network Clean can help you.Proficiency with Privacy Categorize Facebook connections accordingly. Use Facebook Lists to share appropriate content Be smart across ALL platformsUpdate Contact Information
  • #13 The guidelines are especially important for those of you who want to include Vocus in your bio information.Potential Clients, Customers, Referrals, Recruits have access to social media.Become familiar with your privacy settings.Tweet Chats to gain followers- talk to me and I can help you with this.
  • #20  Organizing your friends into lists allows you to control who sees certain posts and what types of posts you see from people in each category or list.Smart Lists are created for you by Facebook based on About information.
  • #31 Worst Thing you can do is fall off the face of the earth or become inactive.
